The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the port. The bedrooms are excellent, very clean and comfortable and have everything you need. The breakfast is really great, it has pure orange juice, hot and cold food and plenty of room. The room that the breakfast is held in needs serious updating. The carpets and walls are all stained and there is a odd small there. The pool is lovely on a hot day but there are not enough sun beds which didn't affect us as the weather was not good enough to sit out at.

Thé hôtel will be beautiful once the renovation work has finished. Health and safety we an issue with power tool wires across the main corridor. Building work started at 8 am and went on all day. The lounge and the swimming pool were out of bounds. We managed you use the swimming pool towards the end of the stay, but if was difficult to get out without any steps.The fridge in the room hadn’t been emptied and they was smelly cold fish and chips inside when we arrived. The staff were very helpful in trying to refund us and try to find us another hotel but last minute hotel accommodation not easy to find at short notice. In the end we decided we had no option but to stay. We did receive free breakfasts and complimentary wine to compensate for the inconvenience.

The hotel is located in a beautiful city/ port, unfortunately nowhere on the information available does it state it is virtually impossible to drive to, due to the location is pedestrian only. Having tried for over an hour driving round and round, the satnav trying to take us down bus lanes etc. We eventually parked and walked to check in. I mentioned the problem to the staff at reception as we were aware parking was available. We were hoping to get some assistance in finding the car park, we received a shake of the head and told, yes it is difficult and our car park is fully booked tonight. My partner said she thought we had booked it, the male handed us a key fob to get into the car park available to the hotel. We walked back to our car, drove to the car park and the fob would not let us in as the message displayed was ‘out of service’. We then had to navigate our way back to the previous car park from where we had recently left. Once parked we unloaded our cases and walked again to the hotel. Having told the male on reception the key fob wouldn’t work when handing it back we received another shake of his head. On checking out this morning, he also tried to charge car parking our room. One plus for the bed, as it was comfortable, the hotel decor is tired and the carpet tiles in the breakfast area, had patches where it looked like something awful had been spilled or sprayed on, surely an attempt to clean them was possible or change them. Rather disappointing stay, not 4 🌟

It was fine. The parking is a bit odd. The pool being in a courtyard reduces sun dramatically, but was welcome nonetheless. The room lacke for a few hooks.

Right by the harbour in La Rochelle. Great for trying a range of bars and restaurants. Lovely hotel with great staff who are extremely helpful. Hotel has a lovely pool area, quite unusual for the centre of La Rochelle. Hotel has a section of a nearby car park which is very secure. You'll need to check in at the hotel before accessing the parking, we would have appreciated that information beforehand. Would definitely stay there again when in La Rochelle.

A little confusing getting to the hotel through the barrier’s but if you ring the hotel they will lower them for you, there is a height restriction of 1.95 for the secure parking. We stayed in a Discovey Room Poolside and looked over the pool, it was very quiet at night. We felt it lacked in atmosphere but no one stayed in the hotel bar due to the choice in the area. Great choice at breakfast and very helpful staff.

Chambre confortable et moderne car refaite mais au départ nous avions réservé une suite junior avec balcon et vue sur le port avec confirmation d'hôtel.com puis quelques heures plus tard message de l'hôtel en disant que la réservation avit été forcée par le site et que cette chambre n'était pas disponible donc chambre inférieure. De plus personne ne nous a dit que l'hôtel était en travaux donc pas de bar, vois marchez sur des bâches et dans la poussière! Sinon hôtel sympa et bien situé

Séjour très agréable malgré le mauvais temps. Hôtel très bien situé par rapport au centre ville et activités. L’hôtel est en cours de rénovation mais reste très propre. La vue sur les tours, de notre chambre, était sympa. Dommage, pour des raisons écologiques, qu’on ait pas le choix de donner, ou non, les serviettes de toilette à laver chaque jour.

Great location on the harbour. The pool is a welcome relief from the heat. Staff are friendly. The only negative which impacts the scores is the air conditioning in our room was broken which made nights swelteringly hot.

Le rapport qualité prix est plus que moyen. Le personnel certes au top, réception ok mais dès qu on aborde les chambres on est largement en deçà avec d'un niveau 4 étoiles, chambres vieillissantes, peinture boiseries écaillées, basiques, pas de frigo, pas de minimum pour faire un café. Si les tarifs étaient ajustés on s en contenterait car très bien placé mais cher pour près de 200 euros on est en droit d espérer mieux. Restent la qualité du personnel et la piscine. Pour le reste je ne recommande pas et je déconseille. Sauf pour un trip années 70 crépi sur les murs intérieurs.

We booked the junior suite and it was very comfortable and roomy. Was not expecting to see individual plastic toiletries which were fairly basic- no shower cap. Was expecting glasses for drinking instead of paper cups. Glasses were provided upon request. Plugs in sinks not working and reported. Shame there was no tea/ coffee provided in room as with other French hotels. Staff were excellent and really helpful in all areas of our stay. Perfect location for the old harbour.

Personnel accueillant , chambre spacieuse

Super weekend dans cet hôtel hyper bien situé dans la ville.Le plus une piscine qui en pleine canicule a été des plus salvatrices. Le petit déjeuner est top et de qualité. Notre chambre la 423 était parfaite, une super literie, une super insonorisation, des volets électriques, des wc séparé et une belle salle de douche. Le petit moins , les voyants de la clim qui ne peuvent pas s'éteindre. On y a apposé des petits caches pour dormir.

Nous sommes venu cet été pour un séjour de trois nuits. La chambre était parfaite pour un couple sans enfant, literie très confortable, climatisation et petit frigo très utile. Piscine très agréable.

Hotel vetuste : Ascenseur incertain... va t il se bloquer entre 2 etages ? Cle de porte de chambre défectueuse :difficile de l insérer ou de l ôter de la serrure (il faut tirer des 2 mains et maintenir la porte avec le pied !!!). Climatisation impossible a regler , il faut faire venir le receptionniste. La television marche par intermittence, avec un "no signal" pendant 1 heure le soir de 10h à 11h. Pas de possiblite de joindre la reception par téléphone, il faut descendre les 3 étages à pied. Et surtout pour couronner le tout , un directeur absolument odieux , irrespectueux , sarcastique , agressif , méprisant ,quand on lui explique poliment les difficultés rencontrées . Il se nomme Mr Nicolas Gesta . Il ne reconnait aucun des dysfonctionnements de l hôtel, et dit que le client est de mauvaise foi.Il n est pas désolé du tout, pour tous ces désagréments . C est une honte d avoir à faire à un pareil individu . Pour environ 150 euros la nuitée, j ai passé une tres mauvaise journée après ces insultes et ce mépris. Ah oui ... 13 euros de parking non comptés en compensation... sincèrement j aurai préféré les payer et etre traitée avec politesse et respect . Voilà à quoi le souvenir de La Rochelle est associé ! Les autres membres du personnel sont competents et aimables , particulièrement le receptionniste du matin de mon départ, il devrait devenir directeur , à la place de Mr Nicolas Gesta. L hôtel est bien trop cher pour son etat vetuste ,sans parler de Nicolas Gesta !

Sejour parfait. Hôtel très bien situé au cœur de la Rochelle, sur le port. Accueil très agréable. Personnel et direction à l'ecoute du client : la chambre initialement attribuée ne nous convenait pas : ils nous ont immédiatement proposé un remplacement et nous ont offert un surclassement, le tout avec le sourire ! Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. Le parking privatif est un énorme plus. Poir le départ, la chmbre n'étant pas louée dans la foulée il nous a été proposé de prendre notre temps pour le check out. Bref, un sans faute. Merci à l'ensemble de l'équipe et au directeur de nous avoir permis de passer un agréable sejour a sein de votre établissement 😊. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir si nous sommes de nouveau sur la Rochelle.

Hotellet ligger perfekt i byen La Rochelle, lige ud til havnen. Det er registreret som et 4 stjernet hotel, men det har set bedre dage. Morgenmaden havde vi forventet os en hel del mere af. Nærmeste parkering er Parkeringskælder syd ca. 500 meter fra Hotellet

Posizione: fantastica. Camera e colazione molto buone. Personale non al livello del resto, ma sicuramente positivo.

Séjour très agréable. Super pour l emplacement sur le vieux port .tout se fait. Apieds .prendre le supplément parking. Accueil 24 h très agréable et compétent. Petit déjeuner très complet.

Malgré des travaux en cours, les espaces communs étaient très confortables. La chambre répond aux attentes avec le petit plus des toilettes séparées de la salle de douche. La piscine n'était malheureusement pas encore ouverte (le week-end du 1er mai, c'est un peu tôt et les travaux étaient en cours). Un manque de chance au petit déjeuner ne m'a pas permis de prendre un bon expresso, la machine étant en panne, mais le café cafetière était acceptable. Un accueil fort aimable et sympathique. Probablement l'hôtel de ma prochaine visite à La Rochelle.

Hôtel extrêmement bien placé ! Un accueil au top, des chambres spacieuses (avec WC séparés!) et bien insonorisées. Le petit dej est copieux avec vue sur le port. Si vous avez le choix, prenez les chambres côté vieux port (piscine ou mer).
