The room was clean and spacious, we could walk to town in 5 minutes, and there was free parking on site. The parking area was tight so don’t bring a large car, otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay.

30 seconds to check in, very steep driveway. Half the rooms you cant park in front of due to space limitations. Room was large, would have been nice if the air con had been turned on for me as it was a 40 degree day. Bathroom huge but no window, so very hot space. Mattress sunk and needs to be replaced. Location is central so a few food options. It was clean and quiet, so ok for 1 night

Easy, is how I would describe Menzies hotel. Big rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, great heating and cooling, park right outside your room and super quiet. Self check in, but if your key doesn’t work, simply ring the owner. He will reset the room key.

Very clean, very quiet, would stay here again. Very LARGE gap under balcony door which needs a draught excluder (we used a blanket). No parking space available so had to park out on the street. Office not open at 0940 Sunday morning when we checked out, so unable to pass this information on.

The experience was amazing! Everything was clean and organised..I would really recommend this places as the location was very convenient for us. The only thing that I would recommend is to put a mat at the entrance as the floor can be slippery.

Man at check in could have been friendlier. Only complaints are: 1. Fan covering in bathroom was filthy. 2. Window near bed should have a drape over it to prevent sunlight getting in. The blind is not sufficient. Otherwise very good.

I stay in hotels around 28 weeks a year and he must be up yhere with thecworstcwe have had. The saving grace is that it is conveniently located, had a kitchenette and was large. Shower needs to be cleaned properly. I ended up cleaning half the grout in the tiles in the hope that the cleaning crew would take a hint.

Dirty horrible hotel, cold & dusty. Manager was a pig when I discussed with him. Do not book, money grabbing rip off. I was left feeling so deflated and upset but he did not care less. Stay somewhere else.

The parking was a bit tight. The shower curtain was 30cm short so when showering water splashed onto the floor. One morning the water was turned off, without warning, due to a plumbing problem in another unit just as I was about to have a shower.

These rooms were huge, and had really great space for luggage, seating and kitchen facilities. The benches were so handy! The beds were really comfy, the heater was great for the Ballarat winter, check-in/out was easy, parking was easy, and it was a really convenient spot for us. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Plenty of space. Electric blanket and heater great for winter! Water pressure and temperature from taps and shower was very low. No soap holder on basin (soap slipped off). Only minor things but a great place to stay!

What a lovely motel right in the middle of everthing, enormous room for the budget price easy to find and within walking distace to many clubs, pubs for dinner loved it will stay there again when next in town

Property was adequate but let down by the poor attitude and the surly nature of the reception we received. It seemed that the chap who “welcomed” us was doing us a favour. A smile, a “good morning” and an offer of any assistance would have been nice and set a positive tone. To be fair, the lady who was on duty when we checked out was much more pleasant but that was too late.

Regular trips to Ballarat, try to stay at different place each time. This was very central, walking distance to CBD, food outlets etc. Free offstreet parking. Rooms quiet.

Great location very comfortable bed but pillows were too soft with little support. They said breakfast was available but it wasn't so that was a bit disappointing and in the bedroom the blinds didn't fully block out the windows so we got woken up quite early by the sun
