Grand Hotel

This is a 3 star, not 5 star hotel). Street noise, heat in room didn't work, bathroom floor got soaked during showers (half glass screen on bath), exercise room is a joke.

This is a beautiful hotel which could use some freshening up, particularly in the public areas. The central AC broke while we were there during an extremely hot day, but the staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good, in an elegant space.

Great location. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices. There was a small gym with older equipment. Blackout curtains would have been appreciated. Overall a great choice

Fridge in room didn't work. Air con was a little temperamental. Room was nice and clean. Hotel lovely, if a little quiet.

Great location. Walking distance to all attractions, shops, and restaurants. Parking access on site very tight and limited. Breakfast was great. Rooms could stand updating.

The building is such a lovely place with an interesting history. Given that tourism is just picking up again it is unfair to criticize and we were treated with the utmost care and understanding. However, I was disappointed as the very wonderful room in which we stayed, was quite warm during both the day and night. The A/C didn't seem to work very well, even after we told the front desk it was not satisfactory. Aside from the room temp, the place is lovely and so close to the city center. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Outre son emplacement central, mais cela ne fait pas tout, tout semble figé dans cette établissement, mais pas dans le bon sens du terme... Un accueil des plus moyen qu il puisse se faire par un receptioniste pas tres reactif (changer votre chaise de bureau visuellement c est honteux) l établissement est une enorme coque vide avec un dedale de couloir qui a du connaitre son heure de gloire il y a 30ans, la chambre est sans grand interet propre mais sans plus, l eau chaude a du mal a venir dans la sdb. Le petit dejeuner est pas a la hauteur non plus, repetitif sans trop de fraicheur, de viennoiserie ou de fruit. Le dernier jour celui ci commencer a 08h, du coup facturer sans pouvoir en bénéficier (pas tres pro) idem pour le roomservice au horaire illogique a se demander s il est reelement opérationnel En résumé on espere des prestation 5* on paye pour... mais on repart frustré d un sejour decevant

It looks deserted, empty and dark. It was probably a nice hotel in it s day but not anymore. They have security staff that don t speak English and have no education of what a 5 star hotel is.

Ett lysande alternativ i Gamla stans hotelldjungel - klassiskt elegant, en tyst oas. Oerhört trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Tyckte parkeringen var dyr o då hjälpte man till att peka ut dom svårfunna p-automaterna för att kunna parkera på gatan en kort promenad från hotellet (mycket billigare!).

ロケーションは抜群。石鹸が補充されなかったり（そもそもボディソープがない）、18時になってもベッドメークができていない日があったりと不備も多かった。

I brought my 8 year old niece for a weekend shopping trip. Grand is always safe. I must say that I found the butler and the man at the front desk to be very friendly. The hotel did not seem full and was very dark, both in the reception and restaurant. The room was clean and large, but only hot water in the shower and not in the sink. Since we had two nights here, I thought it should have been addressed as soon as I pointed this out the first night. I can live with that, but it's still strange that it wasn't fixed.

A localização é a melhor para quem quer fazer turismo, perto de vários pontos históricos, cercado de restaurantes e lojas. O hotel fica num prédio muito bonito. Ele deve ter sido muito elegante e mantém a decoração e o jeito de antigamente. Porém acho que precisaria de uma repaginada. Atendimento muito gentil, limpeza caprichada. O café da manhã servido num buffet estava ok. Poderia ser melhor para o padrão do hotel.

Bra läge. Känns tyvärr inte som 5 stjärnigt. Gammal stil men rent och prydligt. Frukosten på sin höjd 2 stjärnig. Hade inte valt detta hotell igen

The Grand Hotel was wonderful. The people who worked there were kind and did their best to accommodate us. Very professional, very helpful. My experience is a little different as I am slightly physically disabled; I walk with a cane and have limited mobility. It never occurred to me to reserve a handicap accessible room and that was my mistake. The bathtub was very tall and it was difficult for me to step into it. When I asked for a different room with not so tall of a tub I was told that all the rooms had the same tub. They offered me a stepstool and a bathmat and that did help somewhat along with having my daughter help me in and out of the tub. I was impressed with the staff doing their best to help resolve this issue and how quickly they acted. When I did ask about changing to their accessible room, it was already booked. The room was beautiful and spacious; we had two twin beds and a daybed/couch, along with two comfortable chairs with a tall ceiling. Our room was cleaned daily and we had fresh towels each day too. Everyone we spoke with who worked at the hotel was professional and helpful and kind. Thank you Grand Hotel for your outstanding service and kindness.

Very good and to stay and near most of attraction. But when every time we come back to room we can smell carpet odors, moisture smell.

I only saw about five guests in my seven days there and I still had to wait till 4 pm to check in. Why?. Great location and nice old building inside— marble stairs and pillars etc. Good wifi in the room. I think I was shunted away to the furthest away room, that was No. 68 It said there was a coffee maker but there wasn’t one. Only a kettle. There was only two sachets of Nescafé and powder milk but because there was no housekeeping for my first five days they were not replaced and I had to buy my own coffee and milk outside. Very poor. There was no drawers to put my clothes away and the narrow wardrobe had a rail but no hangers. Very poor. Air conditioning didn’t work and after three times asking over five days it finally did get fixed. Very poor. 32 channels on the television but only one English speaking channel which was a French news channel. Very poor. Good shower and hot water but bathroom extract didn’t work and there was only one small circular piece of soap. Remember this is a room with two single beds therefore potentially two people. I had to buy my own soap. Very poor. Room service menu very limited. Only four main course choices. Two of pork, one of duck and one of trout. None of which I eat. No chicken, meat or pasta. Very poor. So to sum it all up, l paid on average £125—approximately 150 Euros per night for all these failings. Very poor. So disappointing. Word of advice — I can’t comment on other rooms but DO NOT accept room No 68.

We had a lovely time staying in this hotel/palace. Description of palace is only appreciated once you see the inside of this place. Grand interiors with amazing corridors, our room had an incredibly high ceiling with equally high window, double entrance doors. It was well set out with plenty of surface areas and cupboard space. Room, bathroom and entire hotel was clean. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. Staff were ever present, always helpful but not intrusive. English was not a problem at all. Location was excellent. Highly recommend Tradycyjne Polskie Smaki Restaurant across the road for Pirogis.

Hotel looks a bit haunted. VERY Outdated bedrooms. Asked for toothpaste and toothbrush toiletries, and none where available

We had a lovely trip, the hotel was beautiful and in such a great location for the Christmas Market. We were extremely lucky that we had snow ! The room was spacious and had everything that that you would require. The breakfast that was included in the price was delicious, again had a lot of choice. We highly recommend , would definitely return

Beautiful building, good breakfasts. But our electricity fused 3 times and we were given a less pleasant rroom.

The room size was perfect for a six night stay, room enough for 2 people to move about. Old world charming. Very convenient to the square in Old Town although loud outside on the weekend but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again!. Staff were helpful.

Sehr schönes Hotel, dass Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage des Hauses ist unschlagbar und bildet für alle Ausflüge den perfekten Ausgangspunkt. Ich kann das Grand Hotel Krakau sehr empfehlen!

The breakfast (pay extra) was very good and the staff at breakfast was great. However we booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children - 4 person. We got to the room and it had a queen bed and a twin sofa (does not open up, just a single person sofa). I tried to call front desk / the phone did not work. I went down and said this is a 3-person room. The front desk person said (no, it’s a pullout 2 person sofa). I go upstairs and check with my husband and no, it’s a twin. Go back downstairs- at this point the front desk says - yes, you are right, it’s a twin. I asked for an extra bed rollaway. They say it will be brought up. I return from being around city with kids, no bed and they tell me sorry, we don’t have any and the manager said it’s ok for us to cuddle with one of our kids!!! What does this mean?!!! We are tired so I say, ok, will it be available tomorrow and the front desk assures me yes. Tomorrow is the same exact story. I paid a good money for the hotel and they never apologized or reimbursed me for the hassle. Really lousy service, the worst I experienced in Poland where all other places were great. I am giving it 2 stars because of breakfast which was very good.

Fantastisk betjening, ble møtt med et smil og med hjelpsomhet. Har bodd på Grand mange ganger og også feiret min kone og min 60 år’s dag her, med 30 gjester og alle var kjempe-fornøyde. Vi kommer selvfølgelig tilbake til Grand Hotel.

Second time at hotel and had a great stay, super service and food. Very helpful when we wanted to celebrate friends birthday. Highly recommended and we will return.

Dejligt centralt placeret i hyggeligt kvarter. Stort rummeligt værelse.

The room size was perfect for a six night stay, room enough for 2 people to move about. Old world charming. Very convenient to the square in Old Town although loud outside on the weekend but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again!. Staff were helpful.

Wonderful hotel and staff. Superb Breakfast, did not try a dinner due to a great temptation for puffier places to eat.

Klassiskt och anrikt hotell med en känsla av gamla tidens klass. Mycket centralt beläget och trevlig personal, bra service. Sköna sängar och rymligt rum. Frukosten var nog egentligen bra men vi kom 30 minuter innan den stängde och då var det utplockat och en del saker slut. Fanns endast en långsam kaffemaskin som det blev kö till så det hade varit bra med en annan lösning för kaffeserveringen. I övrigt jättebra hotell som vi gärna vill återkomma till.

A welcoming and friendly hotel staff. Breakfast a bit limited but there was an option to ask which I didn't realise. A first class location within easy walking distance of most attractions. Thoroughly recommend.

Veldig bra frokost, nydelig eggerøre og salt tilbehør. Mye godt søtt å velge mellom. Hyggelig personale.
