This property was nasty. The pool was yellow and green and had active mold on the floor. Rooms were not ready so there was a line going out the door and they were taking numbers for who got to check in first. Rooms were dirty and had stains on curtains and other areas of room.

Check in was at 4, didn’t get the room ready until much later. Charge extra to park for the chiefs game, which is new this year, breakfast was empty with no plates, asked the staff about it and they didn’t have any. When they filled the breakfast they still provided no plates. So how could we eat it? Very bad experience. Charging for the chiefs game is ridiculous as that’s the only selling point to staying at this hotel was the free parking for guest.

Overall, this hotel was great. It is a little older, so you can expect things to not look in top shape, but it was very clean, and the staff were nice, it offers free parking. The complimentary breakfast was really good! The best part about it was you could walk to the Chief's game. When they say it is 15-minute walk, they aren't lying. It was so convenient. When you first pull in, you think it might be abandoned because there are no cars in the parking lot, don't let that fool you. We found out later that there was a Denny's in front of the hotel that burned down and so now it's just a slab of concrete and parking spots, those spots are not part of the hotel property. The hotel parking is behind the building. The only thing I wish would've been different is the website says their pool is open until end of September. I was there Sept 27, and it was not open. That was unfortunate, because it was 90 degrees out that weekend! I would definitely stay again if I was heading to a football or baseball game.

Elevator was the only convenient way to get to the 5th floor, and it would shake and make groaning noises when in use. People would bang on our door in the middle of the night, and tried to get into our room.

This hotel was not good. Only 1 elevator worked and it was so nasty inside, the buttons were crooked and stained. The ice machine on the main level didn't work, the bathroom on the main level didn't have toilet paper or paper towels, the pool floor was sandy and hard on the feet, the pool towels were hand towel size, the rooms were tiny. The beds were fairly comfy, so that was good. It was controlled entrance, so liked that. Overall would never stay here again. Needs major upgrades, it looks like its on the verge of closing.

This is a "economy" hotel I'd call it. A lot of the east parking lot is a disaster next to dangerous. Lot to the west was much better A Drury inn used to be here and this place replace that some time ago. Facility needs work to replace flooring , lights bathroom. Price was equivalent to condition of facility. Service was ok with attentive , competent desk help. Breakfast was pretty good for class of hotel. We had small kids and bathtub didn't have stopper. Desk couldn't provide one. Room was clean enough and comfortable. But overall facility needs work. It was an inexpensive stay so no real regrets

We arrived at three to a line and asked to check in early when it was our turn. We were told there were no rooms available at that time even though the person before us did not have a reservation and was given a room right away. I was told I’d get a call when our room was ready and never did. The cleaning staff was actually nicer than the front desk staff. They talked to us while we were waiting, showed us another bathroom we could use when they saw we were in line for the bathroom in the lobby, and asked us what our plans were while in town. The parking is confusing. There are “parking spots” clearly drawn but then signs that say no parking, tow away zone. More than half the parking spots are completely unusable with no obvious reason. I would not stay here again. There are plenty of other good hotels.

Our stay was ok. The room had a strange smell when we entered but apparently we got used to it and quit noticing it. There was long brown hairs on the bed near the top which I just picked off the sheet. The breakfast was pretty typical and served its purpose. The real issue was when we were leaving, we saw cockroaches climbing on the cleaning solution containers in the maids cart.

Will not stay there ever again. I booked this hotel for two nights and barely stayed for an hour after finding roaches in the bed and in the bathroom. Plus more were seen by the elevators. We stay here for our annual trip to KC. Not sure what changed since we last visited but it seems to just get a little worse each year. Our room smelled like the door hadn’t been opened in months. Musty/damp smell, speaking of the door… only way to close was to slam it. .tv only kinda worked after getting batteries for remote and having tv re programmed. That being said… will we be back? Great location when visiting Kaufman Stadium. AC could have worked better but overall nice place at a good value with very nice staff. Did have a tv issue and a nice man arrived two minutes after I called and had it fixed in another two minutes.

Terrible housekeeping. Only came to our room once in a week! Always had to ask the front desk for toilet paper and towels. Poor breakfast options during the week. Weekend was supposed to be a hot breakfast but nobody showed up to make the hot food! Definitely room for lots of improvement. Two front desk employees smoking right in the doorway to go into the hotel by the pool. Very bad place for a smoking area. You have to walk right through it to get inside. Pretty disappointing service overall.

Check in was not good. Started at 4:00, we arrived at 4:30. Was told room wasn’t ready, to wait 30 min. We waited, as others were arriving and checking in before us (I get it, not all room types are the same). This is a game day with a night game start and people want to check in, then get to the game. Were told after 30 min we needed to wait another 15. We went up, no room, we had to wait longer. By the way, there’s no line at check in. Very frustrating. Everything else was fine. Room Was good, breakfast was good, no extra for parking with was food. This location used to have a managers reception and snacks in evening. They have stopped that but continued the breakfast, which wasn’t bad. Same as a Hampton or similar, but more than a continental breakfast.

We attended a Chiefs game and then hotel is within walking distance of the stadium. We checked I. The day before and left our car there during the game (saved us on parking and fighting traffic to leave… we then also stayed that night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was exceptional (they should maybe invest in expanding for future Super Bowl opportunities etc) the rooms were a little dated (but we just needed them to sleep in) I will definitely be staying there again next time we come into town for a Chiefs game or a Royals game!!

The rooms were spotless and the beds were super comfortable. A little disappointed that the tv wasn't a smart tv, as channel options were minimal. The free breakfast was fantastic with lots of hot & cold foods to choose from. My only other complaint would the 4 pm check in time when most places are 3 pm. Overall a great experience.
