James and the property were both outstanding! It was really fun to stay in such a cool house! The Highlands area is busy in all the best ways! Off-street parking was so helpful and made our stay very easy. The shops, restaurants, spa, people, and energy were welcoming and friendly. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else if you and your peeps need a quick, fun getaway!!

Our host was wonderful! He was quick to respond to my messages - always helpful and polite. The house was comfortable with generously stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Good quality of towels and bedding were a plus! It's a cute home and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the house and our host, James!

This is a great place to stay. The location is fabulous! You can get anywhere in Louisville in minutes. Parks , Coffee shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance on beautiful tree lined streets. The alleyway parking is a huge plus. The home is lovely with very comfortable furniture and plenty of supplies! One of few places I have stayed where there was enough of everything we needed. If you stay in a lot of VRBO properties then you will understand when I say this property has no quirks! I plan to stay at the same location on our next trip.

Coffee, tea, creamer, and even a snack basket are unexpected welcome perks. The host has thought of everything including face wipes, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There are magazines and books to peruse when you are relaxing in this beautifully decorated home. The host is very responsive and obviously cares about you and your stay - we loved the personalized message on the welcome board in the kitchen! We’ll be back! ❤️

We had an amazing stay at the Highlands Hideaway. Wonderful decor, close to restaurants, very clean and comfortable. We just loved the convenience to the highway for the bourbon trail, Churchill downs and the private parking was fantastic. Very quiet. Can’t wait to come back!

Great communication with James. He promptly answered every text we threw at him, even restaurant recommendations. The place was clean, in a great location, easy parking, excellent TVs, great snacks waiting for us, and even a couple of beers in the fridge. It was our favorite VRBO for our family in Louisville. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

We had a great stay in Louisville at the Highlands Hideaway. This house was perfect for our family and had lots of room. It was well stocked from the owner which is typically uncommon. It was very clean as well. Parking was easy in the rear of the home. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. I highly recommend and would stay here again if in Louisville.

Loved the location - close to so many restaurants, and parks to walk around. Great neighborhood. Beautiful houses to look at. Also loved the house itself and that they had so many kitchen supplies. Normally you stay at a place and they have terrible pans for cooking, but not here! James was also a wonderful host and any issues that arose, he took care of ASAP

We (two moms traveling with two teens) came to Louisville for a national volleyball tournament at the Expo and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! From the moment we booked, James was an incredible host—super communicative, helpful, and easy to work with.The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated with a fun eclectic style, and had plenty of space for all of us to spread out comfortably. The beds were incredibly cozy, and honestly, this was the best-equipped home we’ve ever stayed in! James thought of everything—no need to run out for supplies upon arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were ample cleaning supplies, plenty of towels, and even thoughtful extras like shampoo, soap, a hairdryer, and even a flat iron. The welcome snack basket and waters were such a nice surprise!The location was fantastic—situated in a safe, walkable neighborhood with tons of great restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and bars just minutes away. Getting to the airport and the Expo was a breeze, only about a 10-15 minute drive.We had an amazing stay and would absolutely book this home again next time we're in town. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for my sons 21st birthday week. We were perfectly located to everything Louisville has to offer. The home is clean and well furnished. The beds were comfortable and there's plenty of space to spread out. The neighborhood has many places you can easily walk to for food, drinks, and shopping. We very much enjoyed our time there.

The property was well decorated. Everything we needed was available. I was a little disappointed in the master bed and sheets seemed to be worn and staring to ball up. The kitchen faucet needs some attention, very little water pressure. The wine glasses were all plastic and well-used. Other than that it was as described.

My grown children and I were in town for a wedding. This home was in a great location near so many bars/restaurants. We were also able to walk to Cherokee Park which is a large wooded park with great walking paths. The home was great with space for 8 adults to sit comfortably or sit at the table. There was an issue where the power flickered off and on which made the alarm go off. The host was responsive and took care of it while we went out for lunch.

Interaction with owner was great. The location and parking were easy and good for us walking to breakfast place every morning. Easy Uber to fairgrounds. Would have preferred two keys instead of one as we had two groups staying but didn’t think to ask about it. The first floor bath is pretty small- and with two total bathrooms for 6 of us who weren’t all related it was a bit cozy. The other bath is upstairs but is larger and updated. House was well stocked and set up was very thoughtful for check in. Shared living spaces are nicely appointed. House was very quiet for sleeping and street is quiet and feels safe. Close neighbors had what sounded like a drum or band practice on Sunday morning but it was very short lived. They also have dogs but honestly we couldn’t hear them unless we were outside right next to their open windows. Thanks for a great music festival stay.

Stayed for a few nights with family over Thanksgiving. Communication with James was outstanding. The house is exactly as pictured, which means it is interesting and beautiful, combining modern comforts with original beauty. Neighborhood could not have been better - quiet but with extremely easy walking access to a ton of stuff. Highly recommend!

My grown children and I were in town for a wedding. This home was in a great location near so many bars/restaurants. We were also able to walk to Cherokee Park which is a large wooded park with great walking paths. The home was great with space for 8 adults to sit comfortably or sit at the table. There was an issue where the power flickered off and on which made the alarm go off. The host was responsive and took care of it while we went out for lunch.

This was a great property in an awesome location. It was laid out perfectly for my family to stay and everyone to have their own beds. Host was super friendly and communicative. Definitely recommend this property!

Our stay at this property was great. The property itself accommodated us all with plenty of separate space when needed. We had a power outage one of the nights and the alarm was going off, wasn’t aware how to shut it off, the owner was very prompt in calling us to inform us how. He has great to talk to, very nice and personable

Great communication with James. He promptly answered every text we threw at him, even restaurant recommendations. The place was clean, in a great location, easy parking, excellent TVs, great snacks waiting for us, and even a couple of beers in the fridge. It was our favorite VRBO for our family in Louisville. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

We (two moms traveling with two teens) came to Louisville for a national volleyball tournament at the Expo and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! From the moment we booked, James was an incredible host—super communicative, helpful, and easy to work with.The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated with a fun eclectic style, and had plenty of space for all of us to spread out comfortably. The beds were incredibly cozy, and honestly, this was the best-equipped home we’ve ever stayed in! James thought of everything—no need to run out for supplies upon arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked, there were ample cleaning supplies, plenty of towels, and even thoughtful extras like shampoo, soap, a hairdryer, and even a flat iron. The welcome snack basket and waters were such a nice surprise!The location was fantastic—situated in a safe, walkable neighborhood with tons of great restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and bars just minutes away. Getting to the airport and the Expo was a breeze, only about a 10-15 minute drive.We had an amazing stay and would absolutely book this home again next time we're in town. Highly recommend!

This is a great place to stay. The location is fabulous! You can get anywhere in Louisville in minutes. Parks , Coffee shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance on beautiful tree lined streets. The alleyway parking is a huge plus. The home is lovely with very comfortable furniture and plenty of supplies! One of few places I have stayed where there was enough of everything we needed. If you stay in a lot of VRBO properties then you will understand when I say this property has no quirks! I plan to stay at the same location on our next trip.

We came in for the bourbon and beyond festival. This home is the perfect location. Not too far to the fairgrounds and walking distance to so many good coffee shops, restaurants and cute vintage stores! The home is very comfortable and clean!

Booked the Highlands Hideaway for a Bourbon trip with my sons & brother. Property location was great, easy access to Whiskey Row, and quick access to highways leading to the more rurally located distilleries. Just a few blocks away from many restaurants, craft breweries and shops. Highly recommend this property.

We had a great stay in Louisville at the Highlands Hideaway. This house was perfect for our family and had lots of room. It was well stocked from the owner which is typically uncommon. It was very clean as well. Parking was easy in the rear of the home. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. I highly recommend and would stay here again if in Louisville.

Stayed for a few nights with family over Thanksgiving. Communication with James was outstanding. The house is exactly as pictured, which means it is interesting and beautiful, combining modern comforts with original beauty. Neighborhood could not have been better - quiet but with extremely easy walking access to a ton of stuff. Highly recommend!

Loved the location - close to so many restaurants, and parks to walk around. Great neighborhood. Beautiful houses to look at. Also loved the house itself and that they had so many kitchen supplies. Normally you stay at a place and they have terrible pans for cooking, but not here! James was also a wonderful host and any issues that arose, he took care of ASAP

Myself and two lifelong friends stayed three nights to tour Louisville a little bit and catch a basketball game The location was great and within walking distance to restaurants as well as a short ride into downtown to enjoy that area Will definitely try to book again! Charming, perfect home!
