The hotel is fully self service in order to maintain lower prices. Check in is automated via a pin number emailed to you. It all worked seamlessly for us but there is an on site manager to assist if required. The communal kitchen area offers a toaster and a coffee vending machine. Overall, the hotel is very clean and modern. There is a Metro stop very close by, or walk to the centre in about 20 minutes.

Easiest check in and check out we’ve ever experienced - rooms are lovely, staff are lovely and everything was really clean. Kitchen and coffee area was great as well as the ping pong and chill out areas - will definitely use this hotel chain again!!

Nós adoramos nos hospedar neste hotel! Ele é muito bem localizado, com metrô praticamente na porta. Nos hospedamos em janeiro e o hotel aparenta ser novo, com decoração super moderna no saguão da recepção e também no quarto, que é muito limpo, aconchegante e silencioso. O check-in online logo na entrada foi muito fácil e rápido. Há lanches, cafés e bebidas disponíveis 24 horas por dia no saguão, no sistema pegue e pague.

New, modern, comfortable hotel, 15 mins walk to the Helsinki centre and main sights. Airport is also reasonably accessible (metro/walk + train). The checkin is done via computers, you can request room service, luggage storage without any extra fee. In the lobby you have kitchen with fridges, microwaves, co-working tables with electric sockets, TV/cinema, very stable and fast wifi throughout the hotel. Good stay for one night or few days.

A very new, great hotel, ideal for what we needed, great rooms, comfy bed and pillows, plenty of space even in the 'small' rooms. Clean, tidy, friendly and helpful staff/hosts. No TV in rooms which is no issues, good WiFi, communal area comfy seats a table tennis table, and a large kitchen, with coffee machines (pay to use, €2.50) for a variety of coffee, kettles, toaster and microwaves for guests to use to make their own breakfast, fridges for people to store their fresh food/drinks - just label 🏷 it as instructed. There's a lidl not far from the Hotel to get what you need for breakfast or suggtions to eat. About 20-30minutes walking from city centre or about 5 minutes on the Metro. 100% recommended and would stay again if in Helsinki, and will use the chain again if visiting other locations with CityBox in it. Hotel does recommend places to eat, and many you get discount with your room card, between 5-20% depending on the place, juttutupa was one place which is also highly recommended.

I LOVED City Box Helsinki. I knew this was a "no-frills" budget hotel, but it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The check-in at the kiosk was super easy and fast. The room was spotless clean. There is no TV, alarm clock or coffee maker in the room but it did not matter to me. I was glad that the room had AC, and everything looked brand-new. Bed was so comfortable too. It is a 3 minute walk from Hakaniemi station. Super convenient. I miss this hotel already. Highly recommended!

Citybox is exactly as described--bare bones, clean, and comfortable. I did not use the laundry facilities or really engage with any staff except housekeeping, who kindly offered to help me with my bags when I was struggling to pull them all. The bed was comfortable, linens were clean, and the room was surprisingly spacious. My only real complaint was the water temperature didn't get quite hot enough for my liking, and I would have really appreciated if they had a sauna to match Finnish culture. It was about 15 minutes walking to the University of Helsinki campus and had a lot of grocery stores, cafes, and dining options nearby. Overall, this was a really great budget-friendly stay and kept me comfortable for 5 days.

I love how easy it is to stay in Citybox. Check in and out are very quick and there's all you need. The price is usually very affordable. However, even though we've stayed there many times during last couple of years, I've been sleeping almost all those nights quite badly. The beds are too hard for my taste and the pillows are horrible. And the thing you go to do there is sleeping. I don't know how to improve it and I would love to sleep better there, bc the hotel is very great in every othet way.

I did not use the laundry but I used the kitchen for my evening meals. It is clean and comfortable I used to be at many hotels but Citybox is the best one (with my budjet). The location is very convenient with metro ,bus and too many supermarkets near by. Staffs are very friendly and helpful especially Nicholas (the gentleman) he helped me a lot.

The property is surrounded by a years-long major road construction project. Thus it is utterly inaccessible by car or taxi. This is not in any way communicated by the management. And there are no signs near the temporary "gangplank" to the hotel to indicate that one is going in the right direction. This complete lack of necessary communication is unacceptable! In my case, it resulted in two hours of wandering and an added taxi expense. Once inside, the hotel clerk was outstandingly helpful and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. But the irresponsible behavior of the management cannot be forgiven or ignored. I must recommend not staying at this property!

Really enjoyed my stay in Citybox Helsinki. L Location is very good, surrounded by several shops, restaurants and bars in Kallio area. Automatic check in and check out was smooth and easy. Hotel room clean and had all basic facilities. I enjoyed the double bed as stayed by myself. I figured out on the 2nd day where the light switches were and for which lights there for, also liked the black out curtains. Hairdryer worked just very short time and I could not figure out what was the issue. In general I had a pleasant stay In

Nós adoramos nos hospedar neste hotel! Ele é muito bem localizado, com metrô praticamente na porta. Nos hospedamos em janeiro e o hotel aparenta ser novo, com decoração super moderna no saguão da recepção e também no quarto, que é muito limpo, aconchegante e silencioso. I love the CityBox brand and stay here whenever I am in Scandinavia. The room was excellent - without frills (minimalist in design) , and very comfortable. Location was ideal with the subway access in the building, and teams stopping almost across the street. Lots of dining options in the area as well as a lovely cafe that had breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. My only suggestion would be to clearly identify when cleaning is scheduled. My stay was 10 days long, and cleaning happened twice.

A great budget hotel. Short tram ride from the Central Station, lots of food and groceries nearby. Self check-in needed a texted code which I hadn’t received, but staff was in the office and came quickly to work it out. No breakfast but there is an eating area and kitchen (fridges, microwaves, coffee machine$, dish ware and cutlery to take as needed) and a self-serve laundry$ adjacent. Room is compact but everything worked well and it was spotless. One of the streets beside the hotel is under construction but not noisy at all. I would highly recommend.

É um excelente hotel. Moderno, instalações limpas e aconchegantes. Mas tenha em mente que é um hotel com conceito automático e com pouca interação com pessoas (caso essa seja uma necessidade sua). Você faz tudo só. Mas não é um problema, ou não foi pra mim. As minhas duas considerações sobre ele são: não tem café da manhã (no inverno é muito ruim) e a localização. Que embora não seja ruim, não é excelente (fica ao lado de estação do metrô e do tran, mas uns 30min de caminhada da região central da catedral de Helsinque, por exemplo).

Super clean and convenient location. Close to shops and many food options. Loved the small market located attached to hotel building for meal options when you don’t want to eat out or do fast food. Public transportation just steps away. Would not hesitate to come back!

A very new, great hotel, ideal for what we needed, great rooms, comfy bed and pillows, plenty of space even in the 'small' rooms. Clean, tidy, friendly and helpful staff/hosts. No TV in rooms which is no issues, good WiFi, communal area comfy seats a table tennis table, and a large kitchen, with coffee machines (pay to use, €2.50) for a variety of coffee, kettles, toaster and microwaves for guests to use to make their own breakfast, fridges for people to store their fresh food/drinks - just label 🏷 it as instructed. There's a lidl not far from the Hotel to get what you need for breakfast or suggtions to eat. About 20-30minutes walking from city centre or about 5 minutes on the Metro. 100% recommended and would stay again if in Helsinki, and will use the chain again if visiting other locations with CityBox in it. Hotel does recommend places to eat, and many you get discount with your room card, between 5-20% depending on the place, juttutupa was one place which is also highly recommended.

Great hotel for a low cost. You check in and check out yourself, so I didn't have any interactions with staff. Room was a good size, especially for Europe. Good location, a few minute walk to metro. Very secure building in a safe area. Room was functional, but could have done with a TV, but wouldn’t put me off staying again. No kettle, you can ask at reception for one and there is a shared kitchen with good facilities.
