Very nice hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff. Food good, room comfortable and clean, free car parking, wifi ok. Definatley would stop again if in area.

At check in there was no car parking availability, which meant parking further away and carrying our luggage to the hotel. We were told by the manager John any problems with your room let me know, and on further inspection after unpacking, and going out to meet family till late afternoon, found the Toilet seat in the Bathroom of our room to be so loose it moved around. We reported this to John in the evening while visiting the bar area, to be told " what do you want me to do about it at this time of night" The next morning after Breakfast and being out all day we arrived back at the hotel to find the Toilet seat still the same, and it had not been fixed or replaced. The room needs alot of updating with Windows that are very draughty, the decor was very tired looking, the mattress is of a poor quality with springs that you can feel with any movement in the bed, and the chamber maids did not replenish the Toilet rolls regularly, or empty bins not until the day we checked out after a 3 night stay.

Great cozy place, the pub below is quite packed and there is a buzz if you are directly above, but the pub below closes early and no issue for sleeping. Food in the pub is great too Great place to be based for Bath trips and the surrounding area.

Room very low and kept hitting my head on rafters, bathroom smelt and had mold, stairs dangerous to the point my wife was on all fours to climb up to the second floor. Food other than breakfast was very average. Location and transport into Bath was excellent. We would not recommend the establishment

The hotel is located inside the pub. I was one of the attic rooms and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. The Sunday roast is well worth it. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. My room was a twin bedroom. It was fine but there was no floor length mirror. The mirror on the dressing table you could manoeuvre but you couldn’t see your full outfit. The mattresses need to be changed. Although I slept really well, the mattress was very lumpy with a firm impression on one side. The bathroom does need some updating. The shower, although was very good, you couldn’t see how to turn it off. I spent ages trying to turn it off as the instructions were not visible enough to see. The bath needs reselling and the flooring replaced. The breakfast is good value and the service is excellent. Everyone I met in the pub was friendly and hospitable.

After a 6 hour drive we arrived at 13:50 we are way too early, took a seat outside the pub and realised it was a 2 O’clock check in. Very frosty reception when we went back in and pointed this out. Given room 1 it was disgusting. Toilet not working not wardrobe/ draws. Cupboard in the wall for hanging a few items but was being used for storage. We refused this room and was told they didn’t have another. They clearly didn’t know how to handle this situation. We then went outside and started to look for another hotel when they miraculously aproched saying they have another room. It wasn’t much better but at least the toilet worked. We decided to put up with it. The carpets up to the rooms were filthy. Definitely more of a workman’s stop over. The car park was constantly full and we found out later that it was used by the locals. Never got to park in it once. The extractor fan from the kitchen was filthy and blowing out onto the car park, dripping fat and oil onto the floor !!!. The garden area was quite nice although the scaffolding was a little off putting. I think green king need to visit this place as it is not as nice as the pictures suggest.

I stayed here because my dance class at Claverton is near and Beckington was easy to get to off the A36. The staff were super friendly and the dinner I had was lovely, hot and well cooked. My only critique is that I had asked whether my room was in a quiet location and it actually wasn't. The noise from the bar was very loud and went on until after 11:30 which spoiled my visit a bit. I also think that an upgrade of the bathroom is probably due for room 4.

Do not stay in Room 7... the bathroom is mouldy and rusty, and hot in the summer with one small window. The shower bursts scolding hot water every 10 seconds whilst showering. Worst hotel room I've ever stayed in.

Our room was difficult to access ( three flights of stairs) . The main electric switch was by the door. There were three lamps, two bedside, and none of them worked. The bathroom had no proper place to hang towels. The only hook on the back of the door just swivelled round. The water was excessively hot and there was no way to regulate the temperature of the shower making it unusable. The bath was deep and slippy and there was no handrail either to access the bath or the shower. The toilet seat was very loose and moved when sat upon.The beds were clean and comfortable and the staff were lovely.

Been to the Woolpack many times, superior rooms are good with a sofa and armchairs, good choice of breakfast items, generally well cooked, the same with evening meals. Rooms are clean and supplied with a kettle and sachets for tea and coffee making.

Nice place to stay for a few days. If you have one of the attic rooms the bathroom is very small, but the bed was comfortable and the room was kept clean. The staff are very good and will look after you well. The food on offer in the restaurant is excellent.

Pub and restaurant are fine, staff very friendly and welcoming - but rooms are pretty shabby. Tired decoration, mould in the bathroom and in the cupboard that operates as a wardrobe.

The bedroom was tired with cobwebs hanging in corners. The shelves in the bedside tables were thick with dust so unusable. The wardrobe was filled with put- u- up beds ,cots spare bedding etc etc . There were some coat hangers in the centre of the rail but dresses could not be hung due to amount of equipment being stored . The pillow on the door side of the bed had a 5inch tear in the seam and both pillows were stained as the was no under protector on them. The bathroom was in need of a serious up grade. The reveals in the window had paint work and plaster pealing from the walls. The toilet roll holder was missing a roller thus the rolls of paper were on the side. All in all the room was somewhat disappointing but we had only booked for one night so we put up with it. The food was excellent and the Staff generally were equally excellent. Unfortunately I won't be booking here again.

An overnight stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The twin room was a reasonable size and beds comfy. Bathroom needs an update although shower very good with plenty of hot water. Paintwork could do with some attention. Value for money-not sure.

I stayed here because my dance class at Claverton is near and Beckington was easy to get to off the A36. The staff were super friendly and the dinner I had was lovely, hot and well cooked. My only critique is that I had asked whether my room was in a quiet location and it actually wasn't. The noise from the bar was very loud and went on until after 11:30 which spoiled my visit a bit. I also think that an upgrade of the bathroom is probably due for room 4.

The hotel is quite dated but this adds to the character. The room itself needs some updated furniture, more privacy on the windows, especially the toilet window as there was no way of keeping that up and if it was kept propped up it was in full view of the main road. There was a mix up with the rooms that meant somebody else took the breakfast we paid for and nothing was offered back to us.

We booked an overnight stay as having a girls weekend in Bath. I chose this hotel for the location, value and from previous reviews. Firstly the staff were all very warm, welcoming and professional. The hotel is a stones throw walking distance to the local bus stops ( bus goes straight through to Bath £3 pp each way) our bedroom was let's say a little dated as such and needed a little TLC but it was clean and tidy, basic necessities in place and spacious for a twin. We enjoyed our breakfasts, plenty on the menu to choose from too. At check in there was no car parking availability, which meant parking further away and carrying our luggage to the hotel. We were told by the manager John any problems with your room let me know, and on further inspection after unpacking, and going out to meet family till late afternoon, found the Toilet seat in the Bathroom of our room to be so loose it moved around. We reported this to John in the evening while visiting the bar area, to be told " what do you want me to do about it at this time of night" The next morning after Breakfast and being out all day we arrived back at the hotel to find the Toilet seat still the same, and it had not been fixed or replaced. The room needs alot of updating with Windows that are very draughty, the decor was very tired looking, the mattress is of a poor quality with springs that you can feel with any movement in the bed, and the chamber maids did not replenish the Toilet rolls regularly, or empty bins not until the day we checked out after a 3 night stay.

Evening meal and staff were great. The room wasnt expected to be great but was hugley overpriced. Lots of damage and falling apart. Bed was ok but bathroom was a state and needs a full refurb. Iron ruined one of my shirts immediately and was burning. Also had a broken water lid. I stayed in room 2. I was first in for breakfast at 7am. It took 50 minutes before i received my food which was very poorly cooked.

Room very low and kept hitting my head on rafters, bathroom smelt and had mold, stairs dangerous to the point my wife was on all fours to climb up to the second floor. Food other than breakfast was very average. Location and transport into Bath was excellent. We would not recommend the establishment

Nice place to stay for a few days. If you have one of the attic rooms the bathroom is very small, but the bed was comfortable and the room was kept clean. The staff are very good and will look after you well. The food on offer in the restaurant is excellent.

The hotel is located inside the pub. I was one of the attic rooms and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. The Sunday roast is well worth it. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. My room was a twin bedroom. It was fine but there was no floor length mirror. The mirror on the dressing table you could manoeuvre but you couldn’t see your full outfit. The mattresses need to be changed. Although I slept really well, the mattress was very lumpy with a firm impression on one side. The bathroom does need some updating. The shower, although was very good, you couldn’t see how to turn it off. I spent ages trying to turn it off as the instructions were not visible enough to see. The bath needs reselling and the flooring replaced. The breakfast is good value and the service is excellent. Everyone I met in the pub was friendly and hospitable.
