The place was great value for the money. You are about a 10 minute ride from the city center finding a tuc tuc was pretty easy. We were charged anywhere from 10 to 25 Q per ride per person. It depended on the person and they can be negotiated with. The place is a steep walk up so just consider that if you have a lot of bags.

Great location. Good views of Lake Atitlan from the porch. Very secure location. Hostess was most responsive. There is a fully equipped kitchen. Remember to bring basic ingredients and groceries. Most of it is available at small street side stores five minutes from the house. Tuc tucs are readily available to travel into town or to local restaurants. There’s an Italian bistro within five minutes but it was closed Monday and Tuesday. One issue is a steep walk and three flights of stairs to reach the apartment. If you’re carrying luggage it can be a little difficult. The caretaker was helpful and immediately assisted with the luggage. It’s best to have one person remain at the street level with the luggage while the other goes up to the entry door and rings the bell. The caretaker who opens yhe door will help with the luggage if requested. Overall a very positive experience. The shower was exceptional and there’s hot water. There’s a hammock on the porch and gardens to walk around.

The place is in a safe area a little outside of the main town. The cabins are super cute and very clean. There is a main gate locks and it felt very secure. The walk up the path was tough with luggage ! This was my only complaint, but it was a great work out at the same time. Easy for backpackers but not a single lady with larger luggage.

Great property. Quiet, quaint, and peaceful. My only recommendations for improvement would be to do a contactless check-in like Casa Lobo. This would save time for both the management/owners and any potential guests. Then people can just check-in with a special pinpad or lockbox. Especially since the doorbell is not working anyways. The Treehouse could also probably use some new blankets, pillows, and sheets as even after going through the laundry it still smelled like the prior guest. A couple of ants and spiders as well, but that is to be expected in a treehouse. Overall an amazing experience. I would come here with my s/o again in a heartbeat if we are in San Pedro La Laguna again. Also very affordable and accommodating management/ownership. Comms were a bit delayed, but understandable. God bless you all.
