Stayed 1 night

The room was clean and well decorated but let down by not having a refrigerator and air conditioning as it was stifling hot all night so was difficult to sleep even with the windows open which were only open by a few centimetres. The restaurant was the biggest let down in the pub. I was shown to my table in the conservatory by the girl working at the bar who was very helpful. The first thing I noticed was the huge amount of dead house glass and blue bottles laying on the window sill next to my table. The worst bit was that one of these large house glass was laying upside down dead on my fork. I mentioned this to the girl serving me who applogised and took my cutlery set away in my napkin which left me the set opposite me. The menu I found was very limited to choice For the main meal which I chose a pasta dish with a creamy sauce and spinach which I added chicken to it. The pasta can be only described as bland at best there was practically no flavour to it and the added chicken which was in cubed shape looked like it was originally frozen reformed and had zero flavour to it. To make up for my disappointment I decided I’d see what was on the dessert

The room was clean and tidy . I was very unhappy with our experience in the spa pool . Ladies changing facilities dirty with bins overflowing Men’s shower had razor on floor which my husband caught with his foot Tons we couldn’t swim as too busy but the 4 youths pushed passed us went through the gym and entered the pool that way . When we informed reception. She said she would call someone but no one came I would not book this hotel again if the pool was required

Clean large room with comfy bed and bedding. Good tea and Coffee facilities, exceptional shower - this was very welcome. The Spa was great, had a lovely Elemis Facial/ Sadly the food was not great, the Belly Pork and mustard mash for my evening meal was very very dry, tough and very chewy. The restaurant area looks like it might be having a upgrade, perhaps better to try once upgraded. Breakfast was served in the room and was very good, although I did receive the incorrect cereal, but did not complain as was in a rush. I would definitely stay there again, but probably on a bed & breakfast basis rather than half board.
