Aurea Hotel Perth Kings Park

Amazing place to stay and so modern after their recent renovations. It’s a little bit away from the city centre so you’ll have to get an Uber or drive to reach the area. The pool was a little underwhelming but the bathrooms and room itself was amazing - especially considering its price.

I only stayed the one night but would definitely stay again. The room was modern and presented lovely. I really liked the bathroom area. It was a shame the pool was under maintenance at the time.

This is a wonderful choice -- its close to the City of Perth and one of the few that have free parking! Close and easy access to all major freeways. Friendly and accommodating staff made it so pleasurable and a great breakfast was really appreciated. Reasonable price too, which is rare in Australia. Great pool which overlooks King Park.

The boutique hotel is nice. Very small rooms and bathrooms. My husband is a big man and the toilet, shower area was tight. Good bed, sheets, pillows. Tight quarters for our three large bags, as there was not any room to lay them out to use without having to step over them. Limited closet space and hangars. There are no loungers at the pool area. Staff were helpful and friendly. The dinner we had of calamari salad was excellent! And they have a GREAT espresso coffee bar!

The hotel is very upmarket ,and was refurbished not so long ago. There is not enough parking spaces available for guests ,and I had to park in the street.

Great welcome on arrival. Staff member apologised for no acknowledgement of early check in request. Parking was tight, and no spots were available on my return in the evening, and I had to use public parking away from the hotel overnight. Smallish room, but it had a comfy bed with great pillows and doona. Freshly renovated look and feel. Perfect for a one night stay.

Good location. 20 mins walk to the CBD. 10 minutes to Jacobs ladder & Kings Park. Public transport (bus stop) just outside which is free! If you're traveling within CBD. We took the bus to Elizabeth Quay where you can easily get the train to where you want to go. Breakfast so good. Gentleman who served breakfast Mon to Fri was excellent. Very helpful & accommodating. In fact, staff in general were excellent. Housekeeping fabulous. We had an issue with the shower drain over filling & had to use our towels to mop it up. Informed Housekeeping who changed our towels daily. (Didnt do anything about the drain though...which could be quite dangerous so just be aware). Very clean. Beds...OMG THE BEDS, so so comfotable...please let me know what type/make the pillows are! Literally theeeee comfiest bed/pillows ever ! Id go back just for them! We had the steak for evening once which was lush, we did want it another time but the kitchen wasnt open that evening, there was no notice as the menus were still on the tables so we had to order a dominoes in as we'd been out all day and just wanted to chill at hotel. If you want hot food after the kitchen has closed, you can purchase at the bar and heat it up in the microwave provided. We had to do this on our first night as we arrived quite late. Bar closed at 10pm, might be nice to remain open for longer especially for those having a late check in and wanting an alcoholic beverage to wind down. Slippers in room a lovely addition.

Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and well presented. Only downside was the restaurant was closed as it does not open on a Monday evening.

Clean, modern great staff

The hotel was lovely. Gorgeous, cosy rooms. Very clean, very modern. I’m the perfect location if you love nature with John Oldham park across the road and Kings Park behind the hotel. We loved staying here and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I liked how it was both close to city centre and to kings park. On my first stay at the hotel there was a sticker and hair in the shower cubicle and my air cond would not turn off. I notified staff about this and they could not turn it off either. When I returned after 8 days my second apartment was better.

While the shower was beautiful it wasn’t the best functuality wise, no matter what we tried the water always leaked out under the door and flooded the wash basin area. Otherwise absolutely amazing stay here!

Clean and comfortable

First reaction going to the Aurea Hotel was how clean and shiny the place was. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Smelt fresh. Compared to other motels Wayne and I stayed at I give you a 10 out of 10. Good job. Keep it up. 👍

Clean and modern rooms in an excellent location.

The aircon was so noisy so i didn't use it at night Also i found a used ear cleaning cotton bud by the bathroom sink on arrival. A bit disgusting. I wish they cleaned the room more thoroughly. The staff are nice though.

Nicely renovated rooms but thin walls. Good location with car…but of walking without. Not too many food options close by.

Riom was clean but tiny and the 'bathroom' was functional but not particularly private. Staff were efficient but not overly friendly.

Single glazed windows and although at the back of the motel we were by the car parking area. It was really noisy as if the window was open and both my partner and I had to use ear plugs for our stay. Internally thin walls so also very noisy especially housekeeping. It was a convenient location but we would not stay here again due to the above.

We had a terrible first nights sleep as the rooms above us had a loud party. However the manager did all that he could for us the next day, including moving us to another room, and we had no problems thereafter. The location opposite Kings Park was good. There is a bus stop just outside which offers frequent free buses to the CBD. Overall this was a decent hotel.

I expected a desk in the hotel room. Without one, using a computer can prove difficult. The lighting, too, was not optimal, especially around the basin mirror. I also missed a full-length mirror. The staff were friendly.

Stylish high quality rooms. Great design and finish. In the end the rooms are too small though

Second time staying here with the Air con not working in the room, not sure if this is deliberate or not but won’t stay here again on that basis. Everything else was fine.

We booked a getaway because I had a gift card for Hotels.com, plus award nights in order to escape during a heatwave. The staff are amazing - every single one of them! The lobby and front entrance are beautiful, the rooms are don’t have a lot of space for luggage storage, but the rainfall shower makes up for that. You also have a mini bar fridge, and tea/coffee making area. The air conditioner works brilliantly, as do the blackout curtains, and the are several different lighting setting. They have Smart TVs with access to all streaming providers- you just use your own account to login there. We loved everything about this, including its close proximity to the city, that we extended for an extra 2 nights. Will definitely book here again.

Really solid property had what you needed for a short stay. Only thing tough is not having easy access to food as the restaurant is limited. Friendly staff and 24/7 reception is great as not all Perth properties allow it

We received the most amazing service from the staff at Aurea Hotel! Rooms were immaculate and kept to the highest standard throughout our stay in Perth! Staff were also very friendly and extremely helpful when it came to keeping our luggage after our checkout time and before we checked in upon arrival! Would highly reccommend!

Friendly helpful staff

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in May. I'd just landed in Perth while my partner had been in Australia for a few weeks and came to Perth to meet me. I added a note on the booking that my partner would check in before me and she was named on the booking anyway. I amended the booking to extend our stay which, the hotel later told me meant that the notes were not readily visible to the staff at check in; This meant that my partner was flatly refused permission to check in. This made no sense as she was named on the booking and had the card to be used to pay for the booking. The attitude of the staff as she tried to check in was appalling - this was the worst possible first impression the hotel could give, especially as they eventually gave in (once they found my note) and let her check in anyway. It was never explained why she couldn't just check in as a person named on the booking and this unnecessary delay meant that she was in a great rush to meet me at the airport. This drama aside, the aircon unit in the room repeatedly stopped and restarted through the night making such a racket that very little sleep was had. I mentioned this to the staff on the following morning and was told that "they're all like that". We changed the setting on the aircon on the second night and it was quieter but this meant that the room was so hot we still got very little sleep. Would not recommend staying here.

Sraff was helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was outstanding and the location was perfect.

The property was close to downtown, easy to cross the bridge and go to south hurst and tomorrow able to walk to the blue house. Also, jacob's ladder is right behind you and kings.Park is right behind you.The war memorials are all bio great great area

Wonderful little hotel with clean, comfortable beds, beautiful showers and polite staff. The hotel is located a bit far from city centre but that’s the only downside.

Third time staying, location really works as walkable to the CBD

Perfect place to stay next to hospital!

We stayed for one night to attend a concert in kings park. The room was small but great value for what we needed. We were able to walk to and from the concert which was great.

Fantastic staff. Really nice dinner with excellent service and a delicious hot breakfast. You could tell the staff were really proud of their hotel. The king bedroom was great too. It ticked all the boxes for me travelling up for business. Thank you.

This is a newly renovated, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were excellent and the bed was very big and comfortable. The only drawback is the lack of restaurant for dinner in the hotel and no nearby options. This is ok if you are prepared for it but the info provided says that there is a restaurant in the hotel.

The new bathroom upgrade is impractical No dining Mon-Thursday but no microwave to heat food

Right from the time I walked through the door the reception staff were ready to help. Room was great and really like the big overhead shower rose. Gave a refreshing end to a full day of flights. Very comfy bed too. In-house restaurant had a great menu with plenty of variety, and a great chef. Dining service was very prompt; exactly right for a tired traveller. Thanks again for your hospitality.

This was our second time staying at the Aurea Hotel. Everything was better than our last stay, we liked the new breakfast and dinner menu, beautifully presented and well priced.

Only stayed one night while my husband was next door in hospital. Great location for me to walk to and from visiting him. From check in to check out every staff member was professional and genuinely helpful, especially in the dining/coffee area. Food was fabulous. Definitely stay again.

Great room, top quality facilities. Modern feel, infact the TV was so smart i couldn't work out how to watch live tv. Could only see app options. Popped down for breakfast but very poor choices available staff were chatting at reception and nobody was dining. So I opted for a local cafe instead. Free parking a big positive
