I booked this venue as it has a bar and a restaurant and gave easy access to airport for early morning flight after a great holiday in WA. When we arrived at reception we heard another client being told the hotel was booked out, yet ... the bar didn't open, the restaurant didn't open. There was no prewarning of these facilities being unavailable. The closest open bar and restaurant were a 2km walk away. If that wasn't bad enough, we couldn't sit straight on the toilet in our room as it is located too close to the shower screen! We won't stay there again and I don't recommend it to others.

Great location, lots of free parking, lucky to get a free upgrade to a room with an amazing view. Great size room and balcony. Hotel is older style but clean and pleasant. Dinner was nice. Great value overall.

I stayed here nearly 50 years ago as a young man when it was the Westos , and I gotta say, it's way better now than it was.All good. free parking. Rooms very nice. Noise carries though, sobring some earplugs in case... Lotta familes using this... although I did stay on a friday night, so loads country folk would be using with families... walls are thin, so....

You mostly get what you pay for... Some aspects of the stay were good, others not good at all. I spent two weeks here recovering from surgery, so spent pretty much the whole time in my room in bed. The bed and linens were really comfortable and it was a good sized room (one of the riverview top floor rooms), with a balcony and nice view of the swan and city. I like the location, not far from the city, and it's nice being able to walk down along the swan. Not so good though; no plug for the bath, wifi was TERRIBLE, had to connect the TV to my personal hotspot on my phone for the duration of my stay, which chewed through all my data. My aircon leaked heavily for the first week of the stay despite reporting it on day 1. No calls or follow up until a cleaner finally actioned it while I was in the room a week later. I was overheating while on my post surgery meds and had to listen to it dripping into my bin or the kettle all day, every day. Staff were friendly and helpful though, and the one meal I was able to eat while on premises was actually a really good rib eye. Not a super nice hotel, but does the job :/

The rooms are quite spacious, and curtains make it relatively dark. Beds are comfortable and it's relatively quiet inside. The view from the upper levels is great. The air conditioning worked well which is good as it was very hot when I was there. The location is not really walkable to anything so you have to drive to get dinner etc. The free parking is a bit of a misnomer. If you get in or get back after about 6pm all the parking spots are full - however I did manage to get on-street parking overnight in the surrounding streets.

No parking for 4wd and undercover parking was empty where top parking was full.. Should have smaller cars parking underneath and leave top parking for 4wd.. Blinds didn’t close correctly

Glass was dirty, bathroom door and handles, windows, door to balcony. Hallways needed vacuuming and had to walk past room service trays that were left in the hall for 2 days straight. Manager was doing some type of walk around with another staffer and trays stayed there for another day. Accessibility ramp/lift near reception was broken for 2 days. Disabled person needed to negotiate stairs to use the bathroom. With the other choices in town, I do not feel I will stay here again, .

Bed linen and towels spotless. Photographs taken of toilet, bathroom door , bath plug and kettle which were very dirty. The bath was unusable to me as it was very uneven where the enamel was cracked and coming off. Unhygienic and a safety issue. Photograph taken to send to health and safety and head office. The evening receptionist obviously didn't want to be there and I needed to ask her things that would normally be mentioned. I definitely would not use this hotel again.

Unfortunately, our recent stay at the Metro Hotel Perth was not a pleasant one. The room we were given was in noticeably poor condition: the couch had visible stains, the bathroom fixtures had grime around the faucets, and the shower tap was missing part of its handle. It gave the impression that the room had not been properly maintained. On the second morning, we were shocked to find a giant cockroach in the shower. That was the final straw. Rather than see out the remainder of our stay, we chose to pay for an earlier flight home. To be fair, the staff at reception were lovely—helpful and kind throughout. It’s possible we were just given an especially bad room, but the condition was enough to put us off returning. Unless absolutely desperate, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Sadly, this hotel is in a slightly down market part of town with a demolished building plot immediately next door. The reception come restaurant come laundry store come waiting area come main thoroughfare is finished in a slightly unfinished way where the whole entrance way looks very temporary. The room I was given looked great at first impression, however I was surprised that they only gave you a 42” tv, even more surprised you could still get them! The whole experience completely disintegrated into a negative liking of the place when I realised the whole room was infested with tiny red ants, they were everywhere and even gave me the odd nip in bed! I bought some bay gin but it only quelled them slightly for a day before they were back, the smell of baygon lingering in the meantime! Sadly, not ideal and I won’t be back.

The rooms need updating and the bathroom needs sorting out ( enamel missing from the bath cracked tiles shower keep dripping carpet in the bedroom was stained ) needs some sockets near the bed and usb sockets. Menu needs more choice

Traffic noise commi g throughout the air-conditioning that made a lot of noice when the compressor cut in and out. The shower took a long time to run hot wasting a lot of water, the when up to temperature would suddenly turn frezing cold. There was no containment of the shower water which allowed the bathroom floor to become wet and slippery. Not safe especiallly for the elderly. Definnatly wont be booking again at $220pn again

I booked this place purely for the city view and free parking. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room its self is outdated and smelt like damp carpet. The bathroom could use some maintenance and a deep clean. Staff were super friendly and the restaurant has a decent breakfast.

The aircon in our room didn’t work the first night, so they swapped our rooms but then on our last night the aircon dropped through the whole night. The site said 4 stars but I would only give it 2. The internet didn’t work at all and there was a lot of noise from the people upstairs

Rooms were of decent size, but very old and worn. Spider webs between top of tv and the ceiling, small little bugs found under the blanket. When I requested for a sheet change after the 2nd night, was told for stays shorter than 3 nights, they would have to charge additional $50 for a sheet change. Rooms were noisy, could hear footsteps from above, the cooridor, and knocking sounds. Quite a disappointment.

I was only there for one night, whilst transiting through perth. I arrived late, but the reception is 24hr, so check-in was straight forward. Check-out was equally a smooth process.

Staff member walked into you room without knocking , and the shower leaked causing me to slip and hurt my elbow . When told about the incident they weren't to concerned or apologetic.

The metro is a hotel that has a great location. It’s old but ok. Despite multiple emails I am yet to receive my security deposit of $100 back despite there being no damages. Beware and budget accordingly they may keep your deposit for months!

The hotel charges $50 for a late check out for 1 hour but while waiting in the foyer but at 10:15 people are still checking out so when do people start to get charged. Just on this alone I wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel is in the middle of no where. There is very limited public transportation in the area other than buses. You need to basically UBER everywhere. Wall socket was hanging out of the wall in the living area.

Hotel felt neglected, rooms poorly designed and furnished, bathroom without a working fan or opening window, light blazing into the room in the morning with poor blinds, staff at reception were lovely, but poor in my other interactions. Asked questions about service and pricing was pushed to a QR code instead of a human interaction. Restaurant service terribly lacking. Location is terrible. I drove by initially because I couldn’t believe this was the hotel. Just wasn’t a nice experience at all.

Toilet roll was nearly empty (just didn’t look good). We asked for a late check out and was told that it would be an additional $50 per hour; this just made them look cheap. Huge amount of laundry in front lobby created a very bad first impression. Breakfast coffee- I asked for a long black and received instant. Wooden cutlery- fork snapped. Nespresso machine in the room but with NO CAPSULES.

I have stayed at the Metro many times over the past three years and can say that the hotel has gotten to the point where this will be the the last time I book a room. To arrive and find that the restaurant no longer serves dinner and the bar is closed is just not what is required after many hours behind the wheel The room service meal was less than attractive and the spinach on my dish was less than fresh........ overall a poor meal. We had a coffee maker in our room but no longer are there coffee pods to use and seems pointless having a unit that is not functional Staff seem de motivated and a smile or friendly conversation just don't exist. It was a disappointing stay and no way will we return as the value for money paid is just not there.

Room was clean and pleasant. Staff were excellent even went out of their way to help me try and open my car boot as I had a hire car and I couldn’t get it open. The food in the cafe was also very good.
