Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting a relative in Glasgow. Very convenient just off M74 on the way into Glasgow with great free parking (I could keep an eye on my car from my room) friendly staff nice bar area with some food options or a Toby carvery close by and rooms were clean and nicely furnished with comfy bed and good shower. Good price and a nice buffet breakfast included. Would stay again.

For me excellent location on the edge of the motorway and a 10 minute walk to the country park to blow off some steam and take in the huge lake views. Bit of a tight squeeze in the room, myself and 2 kids (one in wheelchair) although no bother for one nights stay. Ate in the bar area at night food was yummy (although was only pizza) staff were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t the best I’d had, packed into small area so tricky with wheels, due to so many people (believe a couple bus trips had landed) Overall nice little stopover enroute further north x

Loved our stay at holiday inn express. It was spotless and staff were all so nice and helpful. Had breakfast every morning and can't praise it enough. As smokers the only thing i could make a complaint about was there was no covered area for us and it was raining pretty heavy at times but heyho i understand not everyone would agree as most don't like to come out front door to people standing smoking. Overall had a brilliant stay and would definitely stay here again.

Quite happy with everything. Helpful/pleasant check-in, compact but functionable room, comfortable bed but noisy downstairs (guys playing pool). Good standard breakfast/good idea offering snacks rather than going across to the restaurant. Excellent position just off the M74, didn't hear any traffic noise.

Family of 4. Lovely clean room and bathroom, haf everything you need. Fold out bed for children, limited space when this was out but not bad. Staff in restaurant/bar very attentive and reasonable cost for snack meals. Quiet room where we were.

Bed linen change request was ignored, housekeeper did not make the bed properly, did not straighten it, just covered it with the duvet. The communal areas like corridors and staircases were left dirty with food stains and food particles for about 2days plus. Breakfast was ok, very small bathroom. The hotel is close to many tourist attractions and city centre.

The check in was alright, the room is very warm and I had to open the window so we could get a bit of air into the room as there is no air condition in the room. There were stain marks on the duvet cover, the rug was dirty, the compartment where the hair dryer, iron and ironing board were kept is very dusty I believe it hasn’t been cleaned for days.The toilet and shower is fairly clean. Front desk staff and all the kitchen teams are very welcoming and helpful, however the manager, housekeepers team are not so friendly, I did say hello couple of times to 2 different housekeeper before they could respond back ( on a different days ) in general my stay is not really that bad.

Booked a one night family stay here for two adults two children (boy, 13 and girl, 9) gave the information at time of booking but the room only had a double bed and sofa bed the children were to share which didnt go down well with the children. Sadly they dont have bigger family rooms. The room was a bit crammed with the sofa bed up. Sadly cleanliness was a big issue for me here. The room and bathroom was dusty and dirty. It looked like someone had left a footprint on one of the pillowcases and there were also other stains on the bedding. Headboard for the sofa bed was all stained and the carpet badly stained. Tea tray was dusty and sticky and so were the teaspoons. Hair and dust to be found all around. The kettle had milk stains down it. The menus in the room were dirty and so were the lightswitches and the curtains. The walls were all badly marked and patched. The bathroom was no better and had a huge clump of hair sitting on top of the shower drain. I didnt bother eating there so cant comment on the food. To be honest sleeping in the car would of been better. Very dissapointed and the room wasnt cheap. The staff were friendly and helpful however. The bins out the back of the hotel were overflowing and i watched squirells go back and forth from them! The reception area and stairwells were also dusty and dirty. The carpets in the corridors are badly stained too. Wouldnt recommend.

Always stay here - great place, friendly staff and great value for money. This time wasn't as good a s usual. Room 20. Mouldy Shower Curtain, two single beds pushed together that weren't the same height, smashed socket in the room. Best bit was the musical drain. The noise went on for ages after using the shower. Sometimes it would just start gurgling randomly through the night. It was enough to wake you up.

Room Freezing!!!!2 and a half hrs for the room to get any heat. Laid under the duvet in fuĺl clothing trying to get warm. We didnt use the shower as that was freezing all the stay

Very warm welcome by receptionist. Room spacious and clean with a huge bed. Lovely bedding; comfy pillows. Nice bathroom with great shower and toiletries. Breakfast was busy - it was 10am Sunday morning but plentiful and good. It was a pleasant stay and good value for money

Nice hotel, good breakfast. We stayed as a family. Very small room. Unfortunately with the pull out couch pulled out the individuals in the bed could not walk to the bathroom during the night they had to climb over the bed to get to the toilet. It was very difficult. Would not stay again purely for this reason

Too busy at half-term. Lots of families visiting and a dog? Very loud at night with people running up and down the corridor, talking loudly and could hear a dog barking in another room. Sofa bed was not very comfy and virtually no space to get past to go to the bathroom in the night. Too small for a family room. Breakfast was a bit of a battlefield as very crowded and difficult to get a table or get food at times. The food was good quality at least. Shower was slow to heat up at times. Difficult to get to hotel off poorly-marked multiple exit roundabout. Would not stay here again. Will go back to East Kilbride IHG next time.

Booked a room with a sofa bed, bed was placed in a very small room in such a way that when unfolded, it completely blocked access to the exit door or bathroom. Talked to the manager about moving to another room but his only suggestion was rent a second room. Not impressed with this guy.
