We booked a 3 night stay as a base for a trip up to see friends and go to a gig in Edinburgh. Good road access, however, only 3 disabled spaces, which could be better, especially at peak times and much of the remaining car park is on an angle except the disabled bays and beyond. If you have mobility issues, first floor rooms are accessed by stairs, no lift so be aware! Reception staff were helpful and friendly, Lee was especially helpful with some great travel and parking hints for us to access the gig better. Breakfast was basic hot & cold offerings with limited options but acceptable. Only one hot drinks machine was an issue with waiting, ran out of coffee beans quickly which staff addressed immediately. No flow to the breakfast system meant that people were crowded in areas near drinks machines and toaster. Again, staff were excellent and hard working. Room was clean and comfortable, relatively quiet area. Our shower bracket fell off the tiles when I carefully moved it to direct the head where needed. The clip had rusted. Reported it to staff who apologised for not being able to address the issue until Monday, which was not a problem and did not affect the shower or usage. I would use the hotel again.

I was in town doing some genealogy research. This hotel was a great location for accessing the different highways and a local shopping area. It is right next door to an excellent restaurant. The staff were super from the ladies who helped with breakfast, the front desk personnel who helped me find places to purchase items, and housekeeping who kept things clean.

Nice, no-frills property. Typical of many Scottish properties, there was no air-conditioning or elevator, which were minor inconveniences. Breakfast was generally okay. It seemed they were short staffed for breakfast. Staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful, however.

I can’t fault this hotel. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was yummy, fresh & hot. Staff were all friendly. Plenty of car parking. Room was clean & bathroom was spotless. The shower head was very clean. Great location for Glenrothes.

Cant fault the hotel. For the price we paid it was excellent including the free hot breakfast. The only thing i would say is the carpet in the room could of done with a clean as next to the bed there was a big stain where it looks like someone had spilt a drink. But this didnt affect our stay

Bed- OK Breakfast-Avg WiFi - Awful. Dont plan to use Poorly renovated from an older building. Bathroom and plumbing were horrendous. Toilet would not flush. It was very old. Shower was broke, cheap fixtures. Way over priced. Have stayed at many hotels in Scotland and this was the worse one. Would not go back or recommend.

The super king size bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The help yourself breakfast was well stocked even towards the end of the allotted breakfast period. I have seen complaints about noisy doors and can understand why!! The way the door locking mechanism works, makes it difficult for occupants to leave their rooms quietly. Overall, it was a pleasant two night stay and I would be happy to use the hotel again in the future.

Would probably give 3.5 stars. Dtayed here for one night with family. Staff friendly and helpful. Room had a bit of a musty smell and marks all over the walls although rest looked clean. Sofa bed for the kids was very uncomfortable and took away a lot of space in the room (desk was unusable due to this). Breakfast was very good. Lovely pub next door.

Staff were extremely helpful setting up our booking for 2 adjoining disabled rooms so we could fully support my mother in law throughout our 5 day stay. Rates were very reasonable, the morning breakfast was excellent, as the hotel is close to the many wonders of Fife, Edinburgh and Dundee.

We had to leave the hotel very early to catch our flight home. The staff were so accommodating and sweet, as the man working allowed us to get our break-fast earlier than when the buffet started. It was so nice for us to have break-fast before heading out. Really impressed by that. Also, we enjoyed the nearby park that you could walk to by a trail - it was a nice walk and a nice park to visit.

Older building with smaller rooms but ok if you have no other choice. Eggs n beans with the breakfast. Plates n utensils could be more cleaner. A lady, who was serving breakfast tables seemed more worried about everything and specially rude to kids. I was not sure if it was the nature of her work or if it was something else in her mind.

Booked an add on stay online which was confirmed with reception in the morning agreeing that I would keep the same room. Only to find my belongings at reception that evening as I had been removed from the room. On presentation of booking confirmation I was given another room which amazingly enough had different TV channels as I was at the other end of the corridor. Impressive if it wasn’t infuriating.

Easy going staff, nice guests, good breakfast, clean room, nice pub next door (which I did not visit, but will another time). Conveniently placed, just out of the centre of Glenrothes but in green area, not built up.

Good IHG Express hotel, pleasent surroundings and close by to all ammenities. Typical pre cooked buffet breakfast, warm fresh and welcoming. Standard room with large double bed and large sofa bed already made up as a late arrival. Easy car parking and safe, overall nice weekend stop over.

We had to leave the hotel very early to catch our flight home. The staff were so accommodating and sweet, as the man working allowed us to get our break-fast earlier than when the buffet started. It was so nice for us to have break-fast before heading out. Really impressed by that. Also, we enjoyed the nearby park that you could walk to by a trail - it was a nice walk and a nice park to visit.

I was in town doing some genealogy research. This hotel was a great location for accessing the different highways and a local shopping area. It is right next door to an excellent restaurant. The staff were super from the ladies who helped with breakfast, the front desk personnel who helped me find places to purchase items, and housekeeping who kept things clean.

I can’t fault this hotel. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was yummy, fresh & hot. Staff were all friendly. Plenty of car parking. Room was clean & bathroom was spotless. The shower head was very clean. Great location for Glenrothes.

Staff could not have been more friendly. They helped me with every request. Breakfast was GREAT! Hotel is centrally located in Fife and it made the best "Home base" during my time in Fife. I will be back to this hotel. Price was great too!

It’s in a great area and felt safe with dining opportunities nearby. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was not very good. The eggs and sausages were gross. The toilets don’t flush very well.
