Beautiful hotel. Wonderful, attentive staff! Terrific location. Excellent restaurant & cozy bar. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Just lovely!

The hotel was nice.Staff was very helpful. The bathroom was beautiful!!No elevator.

The hotel was a beautiful old house with lots of charm. But being old, it came with some issues-no lift/lots of stairs and the room was very hot. Due to bugs we could not open the windows. Staff was very understanding and brought us a fan and that helped. The staff was attentive and accommodating.

Absolutely outstanding from service from checkin to check out. Kind staff. Beautiful ans comfortable rooms. Jon and Jon were helpful in what to do and not to do. Always seemed to be staff member there. I’m going to destroy name. But Esme, Nicolette, the John’s. Rebecca. And more and I’m sorry. There was not a staff member who wasn’t kind and helpful. Grounds are lovely.

Property is beautiful on the lake. They have an outdoor terrace to enjoy some cocktails before dinner. Breakfast was amazing. We also had dinner there and it was delicious

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! It’s super beautiful with historical charm and elegance. We sat by the fireplace with a delicious old fashioned after a long day of traveling. The dinner we had was phenomenal!!! I ordered the Cullen skink which is now a new favorite - it was out of this world good! My partner had the monkfish which was also just as delicious. The staff were all super friendly and helpful making for a lovely holiday for us. Our room also had a cute outdoor balcony (1st floor) where we could sit outside with a coffee in the morning and see a nice view of the loch. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely be back!

The Skeabost House Hotel was an absolute dream stay. It used to be an old hunting lodge and the wood trim is intricately carved all throughout the hotel. The service was top notch and they always went above and beyond for us and the other guests. We had the best dinner there and the most delicious breakfasts that I’m still craving everyday since. It is set in a peaceful and serene location and is very easy to find while traveling . We can’t wait to go back !

The property is elegantly situated on a large piece of land. It's quiet, yet well-located for all the Skye has to offer. Staff was warm and welcoming, as was the fire. Dining options were sophisticated and well-executed. My only wish was that they had some sort of bar nibbles option. We would have liked something with cocktails before heading into dinner.

Picked this hotel on a whim, and turned out to be the nicest part of our trip in the Highlands and Islands. A beautiful building with lovely period decor, however still kept up to date where our en-suite had a fabulous wet room with bath. On top of the fabulous building and location the food was excellent, and the bar was well stocked. Finally. The staff. Perfect friendly, helpful and welcoming. Every single person we interacted with mate is feel welcome and at home.

The hotel is old and musty. We felt it was overpriced for the amenities it provided

This hotel is not as advertised. It is “photo magic”, because it actually is very poorly maintained. The carpet is pulling up in areas, and the floors are wonky. There was only instant coffee for the room, and there were absolutely no special touches, such as chocolate cookies in the room. The breakfast was OK, but the hallway smelled of fish.

We stayed in a Deluxe room with a phenomenal view of the loch. Room was quiet & well-kept with a comfortable bed. The hotel is a really great location, just 10 minute drive outside Portree. Staff was service-oriented & very friendly. We ate at the on-site restaurant every night b/c everything was delicious! Breakfast was also very good as well. The only negative was housekeeping... they did not do a very good job of tidying our room & we had run out of toilet paper that was not replaced... it was not enough to deduct a star, but worth mentioning.

amazing location and property. Our room was lovely but we did not have use of the shower for the three days we were there. We kept getting excuses that someone would come to look at it, then the plumber said it was fine ( it wasn't) then we were told that the shower needed to be completely redone and would be after our stay. We were compensated with 2 free lattes. I feel they should have done better than that. it is a small inn and full so they couldn't move us but 2 free lattes is poor compensation for having no working shower. We did have a tub, but not the same, and not what we paid for.

We enjoyed the nature around the property. Rooms were clean and the staff was so friendly. Breakfast and Dinner were also terrific. I would have liked to see a safe in the room. For us, the pillows were hard, perhaps some less firm pillows? Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Avoid the hype and stay somewhere else! An expensive stay for little value. Avoid the hype and find somewhere else. The property's location is lovely, however that is where it ends. The room we booked was a cosy double. It sure was! A 3m x 3m room that smelt old and damp. The room was so small, my second piece of luggage had to be accessed from the floor in front of entry door and then we had to step over it. When I said the room was small, I wasn't kidding. The shower cubicle was tiny. Dangerously tiny. We booked dinner in the restaurant months ago and anticipated we would be dining in the atrium, instead we were seated with a view of the carpark as we watched other guests enjoy the view over the loch. Find somewhere else to stay on Skye to avoid any disappointment.

Skeabost is a hidden gem on Skye. I typically stay in Portree, but chose this hotel for a change of pace. I was glad I did! The setting on the bay was stunning and the grounds of the hotel were perfect for an afternoon walk. The hotel restaurant was fantastic- exceeded expectations. Well appointed luxury room and bathroom. Convenient location so long as you have a car. Will be back!

I would have awarded five stars except for the fact that our room was the size of a walk in closet. We tried to upgrade to a larger room but we’re unsuccessful. Staff and location were excellent, however. Breakfast was superb.

Disappointed to find our “non-king” bed we reserved and paid for was in fact a queen bed. Pricey hotel and very small room and bathroom.

The staff at this hotel is super nice. Everything was great, dinner was delicious. Rooms are very small and there was no air so got very warm. Breakfast was very good and again the staff is what makes this hotel worth visiting

Probably great back in the day. We found it quite dated and sad. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Room was small. Bathroom tiny. Toilet paper sat on small counter (no holder!). Definitely not worth the price paid.

Almost $800 US per night for a VERY TINY room with view of the water. Poor baggage assistance from the young porter with a beard. We are seniors and had 2 heavy bags, a smaller carry on bag, and a golf bag because we were at the tail end of a 3 week golfing and hiking trip, and we had a lot of gear. He chose to carry the smallest bag. There was also no wheeled baggage cart to assist us. Then when we got to our room, he hastily gave us our 2 room keys, but did not explain how to lock the door to the back sitting area, which required us to tilt the handle up first before locking. We spent some time trying to figure that out, and then the room next to us had the same problem. He was not welcoming and was not the first impression we wanted of this hotel. He was on his cell phone a lot during our stay. However, the older gentleman at the front desk and all of the female staff members were wonderful!!

This hotel has excellent service with kind attitude. The dinner and breakfast are delicious. I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting isle of skye.

Well let's see... We checked in at 5:45PM. We got to our room, and the only window faced the parking lot so we had no privacy. Next, I stepped into the bathroom and it was Africa hot in there. There was a radiant heat towel rack that was fully on and the knob to control it was lying on the floor broken off the valve. We called the front desk and they said they would get maintenance on it. We have reserved a table in the restaurant because we had heard about this great view overlooking a loch. Instead, we were seated on the opposite side of the restaurant facing the car park. We asked during dinner if maintenance was addressing our room, and we were told that it was being taken care of. After dinner we were sitting and relaxing in the drawing room, and the front desk person came up to us and told us that maintenance had gone home for the day and our bathroom had not been fixed. We were then told if we had reported the problem before 5PM that maintenance would have been able to address it, but we reminded them that we arrived at 5:45 so there was no way from us to do that. We ten asked why we were told maintenance would fix the problem if they had already gone home, and were told "We don't know." They offered to move us to a different room, but by then it was 10:30PM. We had to pack up and move rooms while everyone else is sleeping. The whole experience was very disappointing and the worst stay of our trip.

Friendly service above and beyond. A truly full service hotel. We were treated like royalty every minute. Very nice stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful place and people. The staff were amazing; particularly John and John, who were thoughtful and took care of us the entire time. Rooms were kept very nicely and having the option to do laundry was an added bonus. Skye is a gorgeous place and staying at this hotel only made our experience better. Terrific restaurant, which we spent 2 dinners 3 breakfast’s at. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon

The hotel has good bones and could be great but lacks in critical areas. On the positive side the chef and cooking team made great meals and that is where the good ends. The staff clearly have no hospitality training from management down. I witnessed and experienced poor service from checkin through dining experiences. Our room was not as advertised, there were two in the pics but the others at our category (Garden View) were not the same and faced a parking lot with no patio furniture). Food orders continually arrived before the drink orders. Another guest had a drink dropped all over thier table, the table next two us also kept receiving food before drinks which spoiled nice bottles of wine ordered. No good day or greetings by staff. When I mentioned the room not being as advertised there was no apology or attempt to rectify the issue. I also contacted Expedia. On my departure there was no ask how my stay was or anything like that which was common at every other hotel. They did ask where we were heading next. DO NOT BOOK THE GARDEN VIEW ROOM AS YIU COULD GET A ROOM THAT LOOKS LIKE A MOTEL FACING THE PARKING LOT. None of the Garden rooms are attached to the hotel either. Had I have known any of this I would have booked a different room. Hotel has potential but needs a lot of work and I don’t see myself staying there again as a result. There are much better places in the area I experienced on this trip which I would prefer. Especially at the cost!

Loved staying here! It’s about a ten minute drive out of Portree. Very quiet, beautiful setting.

The property was very nice and the location could not be better for exploring Porters and the sites around the Isle. The setting next to the River Snizort is both beautiful and full of interesting history. The restaurant was also very nice with good food and views of the grounds and water.

Firstly I’d like to say that the staff were super warm and friendly. But that doesn’t make up for the consistently poor food. From a very disappointing breakfast each day to almost every evening meal being over cooked and bland.
