Hotel Fogo Amsterdam

Quarto grande e espaçoso, fica próximo a estação de trem Matterhorn. É basicamente só atravessar a rua e para acessar o trem utiliza-se cartão de crédito aproximação (para entrar e depois para sair) De lá é possível ir para o Centro tranquilamente. Estávamos de carro e não estávamos achando hotel com estacionamento bom e seguro, então o Hotel Fogo nos salvou.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but was very pleasantly surprised with my 2 night stay. Parking was plentiful and fairly reasonable for Amsterdam. Check in was quick and easy, though they do make you aware of the very strict no smoking policy which some people seem to have been caught by. The room was spotless and quite modern. Bathroom was clean and the AC worked very well. I had 2 of the best nights sleep here out of my 2 week trip. I did find the breakfast very expensive, but just walked to McDonald's literally next door instead. The elevator also tends to jam up around 11 am as everyone tried to leave at the same time. Getting into the city was a breeze on the Number 1 train line. 20 minites walk if you believe Google, or 3 minutes if you are willing to walk across the road instead of follow the bike paths. I will add a photo of the hotel from the train station to show how close it is. We got the GVB daily pass for $9.50 using the GVB app. This made travelling quick, easy and affordable as the daily pass is a virtual ticket that can be used for 24 hours from time of activation and is good for GVB buses, trains, trams and even the night bus. If you bus the 2 or 3 day pass, it works out even cheaper. Overall a great stay and would stay here again.

The service personal was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but small. The bathroom was very small. We found, that 14€ per person for the breakfast was too much. 15€ per night for the parking is way too expensive. The way to the tram is only five minutes, which is nice.

L'hôtel est proche des transports en commun donc parfait pour aller à Amsterdam. La chambre est propre et confortable. Le point negatif est de ne pas être prevenu en amont du prix du parking, du petit déjeuner ainsi que de la taxe de sejour ce qui fait monter le cout du voyage.

hotel staff was excellent, loved that we could conveniently booked bike rentals to bike around the city!!! the rooms themselves were very nice. also the hotel had a pet CAT which was the cherry on top!!!

Prima hotel voor een nacht. Was schoon, lekker ontbijt. Jammer dat er geen hotelbar is, je moet blikjes nemen uit een automaat. Bij het ontbijt was een dame in de bediening die echt naar oud zweet stonk. Kan niet in een ontbijtzaal. Verder prima. Goede bedden, airco deed het prima.

Tres bon accueil à notre arrivée. La chambre est nickel et le lit très confortable. Le ménage été faite en notre absence avec une nouvelle literie ainsi que de nouveaux essuies dans la douche. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est copieux et varié. L'hotel est un peu perdu en pleine nature, mais l'arrêt du tram est à 5 minutes à pied, cexqui le rend très facile d'accès. Un vaste parking est à disposition. Seul point négatif , le manque de place dans la salle de bain. L'endroit est tres calme malgré la proximité des pistes de l'aéroport de Schippol (on peut apercevoir les avions atterrir mais aucune nuisance sonore). Un MacDo se trouve également juste à côté. Bref, tres bon établissement.

Helt greit. Trygg og god parkering innenfor bom. Frokost ikke verdt prisen.

I cannot fault this hotel! Clean room and public areas, the WiFi was always reliable, it was conveniently located near the local tram line which made exploring much easier. We hope to come back soon! P.s., please pass our best wishes to Sebastian!

The rooms were super clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Not many places in Europe seem to be air conditioned so it was a nice relief when we came from Brussels (no AC in our hotel room there) and our room was actually a nice temperature. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

We found a pair of underwear in the bathroom behind the toilet. Quite unnerving. Otherwise the room was clean. Close to a tram station and a McDonald’s but that’s it. No coffee in the room. Room has no decor, very stark and sterile. Bathroom and especially the shower stall is very small.

Les photos n’ont rien à voir avec l’endroit où est situé l’hôtel on est en pleine zone industrielle il faudrait changer les photos qui sont sur votre site parce que c’est de la publicité mensongère ! Le ménage n’a pas été fait dans ma chambre alors que j’ai bien accroché la pancarte en quittant ma chambre à 11h30

The staff was friendly and helpful. Cleanliness needs improvement... Sometimes can be noisy from other guests.

Personal war unfreundlich und die Toiletten in der Lounge waren viel zu dreckig.

Good transport links, easy to get to the centre or other parts of the city. Room cleaned every day, hoovered, bed made and fresh towels. Not been dusted in a while, we were sneezing a lot in our room, we looked around and the bedside tables and the items on them had a considerable amount of dust on them. Other than this was good.

The bed was uncomfortable.

Uncomfortable room design very loud and noisy

Çalışanlar çok iyiydi çalışanlar ile bir sorunumuz yoktu. Oda büyük camla kaplı ama penceresi yok. Çok sıcak ve havasız. Boğulmak üzereydik. Banyo ve lavabo’dan koku geliyordu. Saç kurutma makinasının prizi yoktu ! Kısacası oda korkuyor

Room was clean and a decent size. Bed was comfortable. Light rail is a five minute walk away. McDonald’s is next door. Cons- Wi-fi didn’t really work and hotel was in a bit of a dead zone so our 5G was ultra slow. Television needed a wi-fi code to use. Restaurant wasn’t open to hotel guests. McDonald’s was the best option for dinner. All in all it was fine for one night. The only downside were the amenities.

lit et porte de la salle de bains qui grincent, murs pas insonorisés.

It’s not a smoke friendly hotel, it doesn’t have much not much at to eat, around or in the hotel besides McDonald’s, there’s not much on tv, the bed was hard and the pillows very small and uncomfortable and there’s no fridge, the manager wasn’t very nice when an incident occurred with me. The constant noise from other guests and the wind made me and my friends stay very unpleasant. The only positive aspect about the hotel is the cat.

I wouldnt recommend this hotel at all. After staying 1 night the second night got woken up to a staff member banging the door down waking myself and partner up at 4:25am apparently smoking i wasnt dressed and my partner told him this then putting his foot in the door telling us we have to get out right now were being fined of €200. After seeing myself and partner smoke outside in our car. After this they tried to over charge us city tax to only find out im not silly and knew the percent i had to pay. The food isnt great. Not much local. 2 hours walk to amsterdam city Transport is okay but stops early.

I recently spent a few days here! The hotel is brilliant, and the staff are all extremely professional, helpful, courteous! The stay, was great value for money, to say the least, and I will frequent the hotel on all my future visits, to Amsterdam!

Os funcionarios do hotel mal educados , tratam com grosseria os hóspedes principalmente na recepção . A noite muito barulho nos corredores do hotel , não conseguíamos dormir .

I stayed here and an hour after I checked in a guy that has a room service shirt on insisted that they had to put the sheer window curtain up right then. I asked if it couldn’t be done tomorrow when I checked out. He responds by barging in my room, and visually inspecting all of my belongings. Only to suddenly be okay with coming back tomorrow. Do not trust this hotel not to go through your stuff. It was so blatant I left had to stay somewhere else because I didn’t trust that they weren’t going to barge in on my in the middle of the night, or go through my things when I was gone.

Hotel liegt in der Pampa. Personal sperrt Zimmerkarte weil wir Kurtaxe noch nicht bezahlt hatten - allerdings hatten sie bisher nicht danach gefragt und wir waren noch weitere zwei Übernachtungen in dem Hotel. Zum Glück war um 12.00 p.m. die Hotelrezeption noch besetzt.

Close to the airport

This overall was a decent hotel. It is not fancy by any means but for the price, you get a nice, clean place to sleep. It is quite aways away from downtown but there is a train station less than 10 minutes away by foot so it is still convenient.

I loved the breakfast and the price. The hotel is wonderful, however, is far from the center and touristic areas. To reach the hotel by public transportation is very complicated considering that I arrived from abroad. Taxis are very expensive and don’t stop on the street with a hand signal, you have to call by phone. Cheap taxi could be Uber but if you haven’t an account isn’t worth it. The staff in the hotel are really nice and polite. The hotel Should send instructions of how to arrive from airport, metro of Tram since is really hard to get here from public transportation. I got lost the first day

It may not be best option if you're a light sleeper and the neighbours are loud. Think many of the hotels aren't completely soundproof in Amsterdam and the guys from certain cultures talk loud and dont consider the neighbors even if you bang on the walls. The area is fairly far from the city centre but the tram runs frequently and takes 25-30min to get into the centre.

Not near a whole lot other than a McDonalds. Not right on the Metro or train line.

Very handy location at the terminus of Tram 1, just across the street. Also nice and quiet with friendly staff and everything was super clean. Recommend!

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung= sauber und gutes Bett. Badezimmer inkl. WC sehr eng. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit . Die Lage mit der Nähe zum Airport ist gut; Anbinduing an das Stadtzentrum mit der Tram auch gut. Die Umgebung ist wenig einladend.

Schönes Hotel, das zwar etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt von Amsterdam liegt, aber eine super S-Bahn-Anbindung hat. Innerhalb von 5 Minuten ist man an der S-Bahn und kann entspannt in die Stadt fahren. Die Fahrzeit waren ca 20-25 Min glaube ich, es war aber trotzdem kurzweilig. Ein bezahlbarer großer Parkplatz ist zudem auch beim Hotel dabei. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer klein, aber schön und ausreichend. Einzig das Waschbecken war mit persönlich viel zu klein, aber das war jetzt auch kein Beinbruch. Cool war, dass wir selbst entscheiden konnten, wann und ob wir im Hotel frühstücken wollen. Wir konnten es tageweise buchen und mussten es nicht für den ganzen Aufenthalt nehmen. Wir haben 2 Mal da gefrühstückt und es war sehr lecker. Die Auswahl war super und auch vom Geschmack war es sehr gut. Für uns empfehlenswert und wir würden wieder kommen!

Hotel was very comfortable and clean. It is a bit far out of the city but there is a tram line nearby and it is convenient enough to get to. McDonald’s next door was the closest option for food. We paid for the breakfast at the hotel and it was very good, well worth it and had a lot of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff were really nice , expect one little weird interaction when we came early before check in and asked if we could leave our bags with our friends , that were the night before us we were told we wasn’t allowed up to their room, even tho having booked in our own room, but nevertheless breakfast was very good , a nice variety of food, room was clean, had everything you needed for a quick getaway. The staff as Hotel Fogo were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. As for the room, I felt the bed was very uncomfortable and the room was small, I could barely turn round in the bathroom. Also the breakfast its self was reasonable but the organisation was a shambles, had to constantly keep asking for cutlery and the food was very slow to be replaced once ran out. On both days I also had to sit at a table which was far too low and uncomfortable to eat your breakfast from.
