Excellent location within a few minutes walking distance to the Venetian Port. One of the reasons I chose this hotel is that they have parking available and are so close to the area that can primarily be accessed on foot. The breakfast had a lot of Cretan food so it was a good introduction before venturing out. The shared outdoor and indoor sitting areas are very welcoming. The staff, including the valets, the front desk and the restaurant area, were super helpful and friendly. Would happily stay there again if I find myself in Chania.

I had a lovely stay at Samaria - the property is centrally located to explore Chania town. It’s a very short walk to all the shops, restaurants, beach, museums etc. The staff is great and they even help you get a taxi transfer from the airport - I later realized that the bus station is right next to the hotel and so you could use the local bus service to get to the airport, which is considerably cheaper. The swimming pool is small, but really nice really beautiful and a relaxing way to spend the day. They also have a well stocked library with some beautiful picture books. Overall just a great stay and not forget to mention the breakfast is absolutely delicious.

Such a fabulous hotel for part of our honeymoon. We were given a beautiful penthouse suite upgrade. Thanks for the lovely cake and champagne! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. The pool and gym are great. Thanks for letting us use the pool and showers after we checked out too before we went to get our boat to the mainland.

Only stayed 1 night, en route to other destinations. Located right in centre of lively city. Valet parking. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Comfortable accommodation. Small outdoor pool and surrounding areas with a few sun beds. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Outstanding stay. Love the location, quiet at night but Easy walk to the Venetian Harbor restaurants, shops, lighthouse. Lovely pool. Has a Gym. Valet parking is ok, and not too expensive, 15euro/day. Breakfast is delicious. Just perfectly happy with the hotel stay.

We were contacted by Samaria Hotel thanking us for choosing to stay at Samaria Hotel. The hotel communicated with us to see when we were arriving to ensure our room would be ready. We arrived 30 minutes before their check in time but were able to check into our hotel. We were even given an upgraded room. The breakfast buffet was impressive and delicious. Definitely the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had during our 3 weeks in Greece. Everyone working there are consummate professional. Piano player in the lounge (couple nights a week ) was a nice touch as well. The resident cats were very well behaved and gave it a homey feel. Voula, client services agent, was very helpful during the check in process and provided valuable information and directions. We will return in the future.

On arrival the reception staff were very helpful, explaining all we needed to know. We asked for a few extra bits in the room and help with the aircon and nothing was any problem they dealt with it all and very quickly. Everywhere seemed very clean. The staff at breaks were very polite and helpful and also made time to talk to people. Even down to when last day leaving we went to collect our bag/case and was told "we have showers if you wish yo get changed into different clothes for your flight " which we have never been offered before in hotels.

Everything from check-in onwards was excellent. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, cheerful and helpful. The buffet breakfast included in the price was tremendous, with a wide range of hot and cold options, and something different every day of our six night stay. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed, well-equipped bathroom, small fridge and coffee machine (but no kettle for tea), a balcony from which you could see the Old Town and the sea, and most importantly, adjustable air-conditioning. We spent a fair bit of time by and in the lovely swimming pool. Towels were provided for the pool and on request, for the beach. The location of the hotel was very convenient - just a 10 minute walk from the old harbour and Chania Old Town, and 15 mins from Neo Chora beach. Good value for money and highly recommended.

Hôtel bien situé proche du centre ville historique Chania juste devant la gare routière, petit dej très correct et piscine petite mais bien (peu de transat). Là où je suis le plus déçu c’est la taille des chambres standards (minuscule) surtout au vue du prix de la nuitée et du nombre d’étoiles je m’attendais à beaucoup mieux, la climatisation n’est pas correctement réglable.

Wonderful hotel in terms of staff (who were so helpful and friendly), location (a few minutes walk to the harbour and old town which are magical) and hotel amenities. Breakfast selection was very good and whilst the pool area is small, we had no problem getting a sun bed when we wanted. We booked two premium rooms (as travelling with our daughter) which were very nice, were given complimentary bottles of water daily, as well as toiletries being replenished. The only downside was that we couldn’t use our balconies, as across the narrow street opposite a large building was being renovated.

Good morning, my room we nice and clean but I had issues with my shower, no hot water all 2 nights, low water pressure. WIFI was very weak the WIFI in my didn't work at all. over all good hotel but they need to do some upgrades.

The room we chose was a little small but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered many options. It was a five minute walk from Chania Town and next to the bus station. I would definitely stay there again if in Crete. The staff was very nice and always present.

We stayed here for two days during our long stay in Crete. We also had a car with us. Very nice staff and everything worked very well from earlier check-in to valet parking. Nice hotel with cozy small pool and fresh rooms. The rooms were a bit small but we weren't there to dance so everything worked out fine anyway. Balcony with a view of Chania and where we could also glimpse the sea. We are coming back! Thanks.

Samaria Hotel is very nice hotel to stay and within walking distance to most of tye shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and cozy. Unfortunately, some of the staff seemed unwilling to help when needed and my son was stopped from coming to our room upon his arrival.

We’ve stayed at Samaria Hotel on many occasions and find it quite charming each visit… The staff are very friendly, often going above and beyond to ensure your stay is wonderful… The pool is a great asset, alongside the on-site enclosed parking area… A block away from the main port of Chania so no need for a car in the evenings if you’re staying close by… Overall a wonderful hotel, with a wonderful location!

Perfect hotel for our Chania adventures. The hotel is a short walk to the old town and harbor. It’s also adjacent to the bus station - that made it easy for our trek to Samariá Gorge. The staff was incredibly helpful with tips for things to do and best way to do them. We would absolutely stay again.

Maria, at the front desk, was especially helpful. She guided us to outstanding restaurants, beaches, and surrounding towns. She should really be a travel agent. But we are glad she’s at the front desk. He entire staff was extremely kind, competent, and wonderful.

The experience was amazing. Maria received us with a drink and upgraded our room. The room was big with a comfortable bed, good pillows and lots of space. The staff at the reception was unbelievable, very helpful and cordial. they even packed us breakfast the last day when we were leaving early. Parking was not an issue as the hotel staff took care of it. Breakfast was included and had a great variety of choices, from fruits to cakes, included hot meals (we had to skip lunch after that) I highly recommend staying here.

Excellent location! Waliknig distance to port, shops and dining but far enough for it to be quiet at night. Beautiful property and nice pool. Great breakfast! Very nice and helpful staff.

Great location within a 5 min walk to the harbor. Close to dining and night life. Away from the crowded streets. Only downside was that our air conditioned never worked. Being that it was July, sleeping was a bit uncomfortable.

Ett fantastiskt trevligt hotell centralt i Chania och nära till gamla stan. På knappt 30 minuter kunde vi promenera till stadens trevliga strand. Personalen på hotellet är oerhört serviceminded, i denna kategori är hotellet femstjärnigt!! Frukosten är inte den största, men håller väldigt hög klass. Den enda nackdelen med hotellet är stadens central busstation som ligger precis sidan om. Väldigt irriterande ljud dygnets flesta timmar, bussarna står oftast igång med AC:n vilket låter väldigt mycket. Det är dock bra ljudisolering så att man sova gott på natten!

Très bon choix d’hôtel pour visiter à pied La Canée. L’hôtel est situé à quelques parts du port. Beaucoup d’options de restaurants à proximité. La chambre est propre et confortable. Nous avions un balcon avec vue sur la piscine. Le personnel est aux petits soins avec les clients. Hôtel que l’ont recommande grandement. Un merci spécial à Maria à la réception qui nous a très bien accueilli et servi.

Everything from check-in onwards was excellent. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Buffet breakfast very good and we even got a breakfast to go for an early flight. Easily walkable into the Old Town for lots of good Restaurants, shopping. Staff very helpful. Nice to have a pool to cool off. Would recommend as good central location.

We loved our stay. We had a large, comfortable room that housekeeping kept clean and tidy. Chania has good places to eat out but we found the menu and service at the hotel to be really good and the team recommended some excellent local wines for us to try. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a very relaxing time.

Beautiful hotel with easy access to old town. Staff were professional and extremely kind and courteous. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Best buffet breakfast we had compared to other hotels we stayed at in Greece.
