Atlantica Kalliston is a great property with a beautiful beach, and lovely friendly staff. I got the all-inclusive package and I really enjoyed the dining options. The sunbeds were very comfortable and the pools were very refreshing. I am so happy to have stayed at this property.

A nice enough hotel. Room and grounds very good but feels like there are more people than the facilities can cope with at times. Staffing pretty mixed - some excellent but some very inexperienced, untrained or disinterested. Dining pretty mixed - breakfast and restaurants (when available) very good but buffet at €40 a head not great. Didn’t use Spa but gym very underwhelming

The hotel actually fronts on the beach and could go to sleep listening to the waves. Facilities were excellent. Good gym, nice pools,clean beach no shortage of sunbeds. Breakfast was amazing. Looking out over the sea and no end of choice on food options.

Fantastic property with quick access to an excellent beach! 20 minute cab ride to Old Town. No need to spend extra money on the swim up room, you're 2 minute walk from an excellent beach. Great dining options at the property. Great gym, fantastic pool. Excellent staff.

The hotel is beachfront and literally just a few steps away from the beach. The pool was incredible with plenty of sun-beds for all the guest. Great swim up bar and food available for purchase. The room I had with the whirlpool jacuzzi was incredible and beyond my expectations. I never wanted to leave the hotel because it was so beautiful, clean and welcoming. By far the best part was the buffet breakfast which served an assortment of foods to fit everyone’s tastes including champagne, fresh omelet stations cooked to perfection, Cretan specialties, charcuterie line ups etc.
The hotel is beachfront and literally just a few steps away from the beach. The pool was incredible with plenty of sun-beds for all the guest. Great swim up bar and food available for purchase. The room I had with the whirlpool jacuzzi was incredible and beyond my expectations. I never wanted to leave the hotel because it was so beautiful, clean and welcoming. Good position with a sandy beach. Not enough sun beds on beach or pools, which encourages the early morning dash to reserve them. Even though there's a nonsensical sign forbidding it. Smoking is allowed everywhere so balcony doors have to be kept closed to prevent cigarette smoke blowing into your room. Rooms are shoebox size, with uncontrollable air conditioning. Similar with the shower (in the bath, not separate cubicle) which could change from scolding hot to freezing, in a second. And in the 1970s, we all remember having to put dirty toilet paper in a bin, not in the toilet, but in 2024??!! In a so called 5 star hotel??!! Unbelievable. The cleaning staff were exceptionally good and helpful and so were the breakfast waiters, where the breakfast buffet was very good, with a good selection of hot and cold meats, pastries, cheeses and very fresh salads and fruits. The hotel is let down by the reception areas with continuous loud music and pompous reception staff who seemed to be self important and more so than the guests the were suppose to be there to welcome. Not a good first impression when arriving ater a long flight.

The property is in excellent condition. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. There is a low key and relaxing vibe to the resort. The facilities are first class. There can be a language barrier at times but just stay with it and you will get your point across. The buffet restaurant offers many choices and the quality is very good. The beach is on-site and the chairs and umbrellas are included. The area around the resort has limited restaurants, but Chania Harbor and Old Town are a short drive away, where there are numerous dining options, as well as some nice sights to see. There is a swim up bar, as well as a larger pool and hot tub area. The exterior seating of the Main Bar has an excellent view of the setting sun and is a fun place to grab a cocktail, with attentive servers. The on-site restaurants are small and offer limited seating, so make your reservations as soon as you arrive.

Overall excellent stay and beautiful property with numerous amenities. Check in was easy but had mixed experience with check in and check out. Initially first woman who checked me in was lovely but second woman who showed me to my room and later in my stay checked me out was oddly cold and almost infriendly. This woman didn’t ask about my stay at check out—just blankly checked me out. Not a big deal but this varied from the exceptional service and warmth of other hotel employees. Porters and bag attendants were exceptional. Rooms and breakfast are great. Greek restaurant on-site was mediocre for dinner but had decent lunch options. One other odd note was lack of activity on Sunday evening when the beach bar was closed, which is one of the few social/entertainment options at the resort besides on-site restaurants.

This resort is incredible! It's beautiful, on the beach, in a great location, & the breakfast was amazing!! The buffet was huge with so many selections. The spa & pool area were wonderful, you really felt like you're on vacation with things such as a swim up bar, chairs on the beach and 2 pools to choose from. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The staff were so friendly, especially the swim up pool bartender. The upper outdoor lounge had music and places to sit, watch the sunset & enjoy apps and drinks. I highly recommend staying at this resort!!

We arrived at 1pm and was told our room ready which we expected as check-in wasn’t until 3pm. So, we put on our suits and headed to the pool. We checked in with the front desk at 3pm and were told that our room was still not ready and that they would come and find us as soon as it was. By 5pm, we still hadn’t heard from anyone and we needed to get ready for our dinner reservation so we checked in again at the front desk and found that it was ready. No idea how long it had been ready but they didn’t attempt to contact us as they had said they would. The pools and rooms were lovely and the restaurants each had great food. There was a great selection of non-alcoholic specialty drinks which was a nice surprise for my husband who doesn’t drink. We went on a great excursion the next day and left early in the morning, returning around 3pm to discover that the room had not been cleaned, no towels brought in, etc. I stopped by the front desk to ask about getting the room made up and, at a minimum, have new towels delivered. The front desk team didn’t seem to know what was happening with room cleaning, etc. but indicated it would be taken care of immediately. When we headed back to the room a few hours later, it still hadn’t been taken care of. I asked again to have clean towels delivered and they arrived around 8pm. We had a few other experiences that were similar which just left us disappointed. For the money, I would find some place else to stay.

Staff was very nice. Food was delicious. TVs were outdated. The only way to stream shows/movies was to cast from our phones through a buggy app in the TV. The app took multiple attempts to connect, it had a 15 second delay, and would randomly disconnect. Our room whirlpool was very dirty. We asked them to clean it. They only added water and did not clean it. We never used it.

Plein de restaurants aux alentours, qui permettent de varier les plaisirs culinaires. Seul bémol : problème d’écoulements dans la douche, qui n’a pas pu être résolu durant notre séjour malgré plusieurs demandes. Sinon très bien

Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff polite & helpful. Only problem was could hear the next room occupants dragging their balcony chair early morning, well think that was it as the noise sounded like it. But overall an exquisite hotel & would stay there if I was going back to Chania.

Disappointed with our stay in this hotel. We felt it was a very expensive stay for what we get is not really a five star hotel service. The buffet food quality was poor, guest communication is poor, no hotel information service booklet provided inside the room. The hotel staff looks miserable. The room needs updating, plug socket is hanging loose in the wall and not working, bathroom looks tired, grouting of the bath is unsightly. Poor housekeeping service, not topping up the soap dispenser, floor is not clean properly. Overall this is not an upscale or five star hotel service.

Beautiful resort. Very relaxing and great service. Beach, pools and restaurants are all very nice. We had a great stay and would stay at this property or Atlantica’s other properties again. Really impressive view and close to Chania but far enough away from the city to feel relaxed. Car rental on site was also super useful and convenient. Only 2 minor complains - first being that the air conditioning in the rooms is not strong enough. Very hot sleeping at night. And secondly too much DJ time at the pool and in the evenings. Banging club music is not really required considering the age of most of the guests.

The room was a great size and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast buffet was great and a favourite part of the day, though the rest of the food (especially dinner options) weren’t that great. Pool and beach areas were amazing, loved that there were three with different vibes (one quieter and one with a DJ) so you could choose based on what you wanted. There was a rooftop bar as well which had a lovely ambience and lovely evening music. Would go back again!

Beautiful resort hotel, grounds and rooms. The pictures don’t do it justice and the service was outstanding. We were greeted by the manager, George, who was present at all times ensuring that guests were accommodated and having a good experience. We were able to check-in early and were taken to our room which was a spacious, contemporary loft with an incredibly comfortable bed and bedding. There are multi pools overlooking the water. The beach area was not crowded when we were there and we had access to the beach chairs and umbrellas which were so comfy that we fell asleep. The beach water is very clear and shallow enough for wading or swimming. The extensive delicious breakfast buffet was a perfect way to start our day each day with an omelet station, fresh crepes, pancakes, pastries, fruits, smoothies and so much more. Outdoor dining was available providing a scenic breakfast view. There is a small beachy restaurant called Sunset Sky and Sea which was a casual yet cute restaurant perfect for sunset dining. Prior to our arrival at the Atlantica Kalliston Resort we stopped by and visited friends at a pricey neighboring Autograph Collection Hotel. While it was a very nice hotel, I felt that the Atlantica Kalliston Resort provided a nicer roomier room and overall better environment for our group. I would suggest renting a car as many of the popular beaches are an hour or more away.

Outdoor dining was available providing a scenic breakfast view. There is a small beachy restaurant called Sunset Sky and Sea which was a casual yet cute restaurant perfect for sunset dining. Prior to our arrival at the Atlantica Kalliston Resort we stopped by and visited friends at a pricey neighboring Autograph Collection Hotel. While it was a very nice hotel, I felt that the Atlantica Kalliston Resort provided a nicer roomier room and overall better environment for our group. I would suggest renting a car as many of the popular beaches are an hour or more away.

Good position with a sandy beach. Not enough sun beds on beach or pools, which encourages the early morning dash to reserve them. Even though there's a nonsensical sign forbidding it. Smoking is allowed everywhere so balcony doors have to be kept closed to prevent cigarette smoke blowing into your room. Rooms are shoebox size, with uncontrollable air conditioning. Similar with the shower (in the bath, not separate cubicle) which could change from scolding hot to freezing, in a second. And in the 1970s, we all remember having to put dirty toilet paper in a bin, not in the toilet, but in 2024??!! In a so called 5 star hotel??!! Unbelievable. The cleaning staff were exceptionally good and helpful and so were the breakfast waiters, where the breakfast buffet was very good, with a good selection of hot and cold meats, pastries, cheeses and very fresh salads and fruits. The hotel is let down by the reception areas with continuous loud music and pompous reception staff who seemed to be self important and more so than the guests the were suppose to be there to welcome. Not a good first impression when arriving ater a long flight.

The hotel is a great place to stay! Right on the beach, the food and drinks are good and reasonably priced, and the staff is great! Only complaint I have is that our room did not get cold until late in the evening/morning. We were only there a couple of nights so we made due, but I’m not sure if this was an issue with just our room or if every room is this way.

We arrived at 1pm and was told our room ready which we expected as check-in wasn’t until 3pm. So, we put on our suits and headed to the pool. We checked in with the front desk at 3pm and were told that our room was still not ready and that they would come and find us as soon as it was. By 5pm, we still hadn’t heard from anyone and we needed to get ready for our dinner reservation so we checked in again at the front desk and found that it was ready. No idea how long it had been ready but they didn’t attempt to contact us as they had said they would. The pools and rooms were lovely and the restaurants each had great food. There was a great selection of non-alcoholic specialty drinks which was a nice surprise for my husband who doesn’t drink. We went on a great excursion the next day and left early in the morning, returning around 3pm to discover that the room had not been cleaned, no towels brought in, etc. I stopped by the front desk to ask about getting the room made up and, at a minimum, have new towels delivered. The front desk team didn’t seem to know what was happening with room cleaning, etc. but indicated it would be taken care of immediately. When we headed back to the room a few hours later, it still hadn’t been taken care of. I asked again to have clean towels delivered and they arrived around 8pm. We had a few other experiences that were similar which just left us disappointed. For the money, I would find some place else to stay.

Nice hotel, but we had an incident that was not handled well by the staff. Around 10pm my wife was opening the drawer on the bedside table when the whole unit fell off the wall and landed on her foot. She was in quite a lot of pain so I called reception explained what had happened and asked for assistance. Within 10 minutes two maintenance men arrived to fix the unit, but no assistance for my wife. The 2 men got to work, making a terrible noise with drilling and banging. It was after 10pm, a lot of guests in nearby rooms were disturbed, one guest furiously barged into the room and started shouting at the maintenance men, complaining he couldn’t sleep. Other guest complained to reception & the night manager came to the room to find out what was happening, he was very concerned about the unit that had fallen off the wall, much less so about my wife’s injured food. He asked what she had been doing to cause the damage which was insulting under the circumstances. After an hour, the unit was fixed, we then had to wait another 30 mins for housekeeping to come and clean up the mess left by the work. Next day we spoke to guest relations, the lady was more sympathetic, but when we said we wanted to make an accident report, her attitude changed. She reluctantly took a few details and said it would be logged on their system, but later when I asked for a copy of the report, she said it was against company policy to give guest a copy of accident reports.

Fantastic property with quick access to an excellent beach! 20 minute cab ride to Old Town. No need to spend extra money on the swim up room, you're 2 minute walk from an excellent beach. Great dining options at the property. Great gym, fantastic pool. Excellent staff.

Had the most incredible time celebrating my birthday. Received a free upgrade upon check in and was lucky enough to stay in one of the villas. So beautiful!!!! The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. There is always someone asking if you’re okay or if you need anything. The food is really good especially for an all inclusive. They are definitely not stingy with the alcohol as well! Big thanks to Dennis, Christos, Daria & Nina I would 100% recommend.

Overall excellent stay and beautiful property with numerous amenities. Check in was easy but had mixed experience with check in and check out. Initially first woman who checked me in was lovely but second woman who showed me to my room and later in my stay checked me out was oddly cold and almost infriendly. This woman didn’t ask about my stay at check out—just blankly checked me out. Not a big deal but this varied from the exceptional service and warmth of other hotel employees. Porters and bag attendants were exceptional. Rooms and breakfast are great. Greek restaurant on-site was mediocre for dinner but had decent lunch options. One other odd note was lack of activity on Sunday evening when the beach bar was closed, which is one of the few social/entertainment options at the resort besides on-site restaurants.

From the first welcome there was an excellence about the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, when we went to breakfast we came back to a room made up with fresh towels every day. Breakfast was excellent in quality and choice. The view from room 427 was amazing. The beach is stunning sandy and safe. In the middle of October we spent our days swimming in the sea. We didn’t use the pools due to the wonderful beach and loungers. The hotel gym was excellent for a solid workout, rowing,step and running machines together with a balanced and safe selection of loose and fixed weights. There are excellent restaurants in the area, roots and Sirrocos being particular favourites. A bus takes you into the old town of chania for 2 euros and it is a 20 euro taxi journey back. We had a taxi each way from the airport 42 euros each away about a 30 minute journey. Couldn’t fault our week there and look forward to our return next autumn.

Skønt hotel med den bedste beliggenhed på stranden. Masser af plads, solsenge og lækker morgenmad . Vi boede i deluxe front sea wiev og udsigt fåes ikke bedre. Spiste på asian restaurant 1 aften og det var virkelig godt. Man skal i bus eller taxi til platanias da der er lidt langt. Taxi 18 euro.

The hotel actually fronts on the beach and could go to sleep listening to the waves. Facilities were excellent. Good gym, nice pools,clean beach no shortage of sunbeds. Breakfast was amazing. Looking out over the sea and no end of choice on food options.

We arrived last week of August 2024 for one week of rest and relaxation. Very nice greeting on arrival and escort to our room. Facilities were very good with very attentive staff. Food was of a very high standard. Drinks were all top shelf. The pools and grounds were immaculate with a few steps to the sandy beach and very clear sea. A big thank you to Giannis and Elina the bar staff, for great service and conversation. The shop over the road sells bus tickets into the Old Town at 1.20 euros per trip.Just a couple of personal negative points, there were frosted glass toilet doors on the pool toilets which were very off putting, the bathrooms are in need of and update and there could be more signage within the hotel as it is a very large property to navigate. Overall a fantastic stay at the Atlantica Kalliston Resort.

Great hotel with great amenities! Location is awesome too, can easily walk to several restaurants and stores. One day we walked all the way to Cabana Mare Beach club and another day we walked all the way to Chania Old Town. The resort was fantastic, wonderful pools, good food, and beautiful beach. The staff was great too, especially Elina and Dennis from the pool bar :) Would definitely come back here again!

Five Star Plus. Rooms were very comfortable, we did the All Inclusive option and it was great! Top shelf alcohol, great food, amazing service. Beaches were nice, clean lots of room. Absolute pleasure to be there . All the staff were extremely friendly. Thanks we will be back

Atlantica Kalliston is a great property with a beautiful beach, and lovely friendly staff. I got the all-inclusive package and I really enjoyed the dining options. The sunbeds were very comfortable and the pools were very refreshing. I am so happy to have stayed at this property.

A nice enough hotel. Room and grounds very good but feels like there are more people than the facilities can cope with at times. Staffing pretty mixed - some excellent but some very inexperienced, untrained or disinterested. Dining pretty mixed - breakfast and restaurants (when available) very good but buffet at €40 a head not great. Didn’t use Spa but gym very underwhelming

The resort is exactly what I envisioned for a tropical relaxing vacation. It is centrally located in Chania and accessible to other popular areas by bus, car and taxi. There are several good restaurants and local shops just walking distance away. The complimentary breakfast buffet in the hotel is excellent with a wide variety of options. In terms of lunch/dinner options, be sure to make reservations for the hotel restaurants via the online app as they get booked up fast and we never got a chance to experience dine in for dinner. The beach/pool areas are spacious and we did not encounter any issues with securing a lounge chair. Be warned that the pools are extremely cold, leaving the beach as a better option for swimming. While the resort itself is beautiful, the hotel rooms are quite average with no additional bells and whistles. The TV channels in our room were not working and although we requested IT assistance, the issue was not rectified. Overall, the service around the hotel is less than what you would expect from a high end hotel. There are some staff members that are accommodating, it can be hit or miss with getting consistent hospitable service. Additionally, if you are young and looking for a lively, entertaining environment, this hotel is not the place. The hotel caters to a senior population and there is not much to do after hours.

Disappointed with our stay in this hotel. We felt it was a very expensive stay for what we get is not really a five star hotel service. The buffet food quality was poor, guest communication is poor, no hotel information service booklet provided inside the room. The hotel staff looks miserable. The room needs updating, plug socket is hanging loose in the wall and not working, bathroom looks tired, grouting of the bath is unsightly. Poor housekeeping service, not topping up the soap dispenser, floor is not clean properly. Overall this is not an upscale or five star hotel service.

Initially first woman who checked me in was lovely but second woman who showed me to my room and later in my stay checked me out was oddly cold and almost infriendly. This woman didn’t ask about my stay at check out—just blankly checked me out. Not a big deal but this varied from the exceptional service and warmth of other hotel employees. Porters and bag attendants were exceptional. Rooms and breakfast are great. Greek restaurant on-site was mediocre for dinner but had decent lunch options. One other odd note was lack of activity on Sunday evening when the beach bar was closed, which is one of the few social/entertainment options at the resort besides on-site restaurants.

This resort is incredible! It's beautiful, on the beach, in a great location, & the breakfast was amazing!! The buffet was huge with so many selections. The spa & pool area were wonderful, you really felt like you're on vacation with things such as a swim up bar, chairs on the beach and 2 pools to choose from. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The staff were so friendly, especially the swim up pool bartender. The upper outdoor lounge had music and places to sit, watch the sunset & enjoy apps and drinks. I highly recommend staying at this resort!!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded into a junior suite which was excellent. The quality of food available that the hotel was also excellent, we especially liked the lunch menu at that Greek restaurant. The staff could not have been more helpful, and we were always greeted with a smile. The location of the hotel is good, with a lovely beach right out front and some great local restaurants close by. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

From the first welcome there was an excellence about the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, when we went to breakfast we came back to a room made up with fresh towels every day. Breakfast was excellent in quality and choice. The view from room 427 was amazing. The beach is stunning sandy and safe. In the middle of October we spent our days swimming in the sea. We didn’t use the pools due to the wonderful beach and loungers. The hotel gym was excellent for a solid workout, rowing,step and running machines together with a balanced and safe selection of loose and fixed weights. There are excellent restaurants in the area, roots and Sirrocos being particular favourites. A bus takes you into the old town of chania for 2 euros and it is a 20 euro taxi journey back. We had a taxi each way from the airport 42 euros each away about a 30 minute journey. Couldn’t fault our week there and look forward to our return next autumn.

Enjoyed are stay at the Atlantica. Location is perfect for access to the main highway that goes to all the tourist attractions. Local restaurants within walking distance of the resort. There is no parking garage at the resort only a small parking lot (10 cars max). They have a valet to park your rental car if their parking lot is full.

Nice hotel overall, with some super friendly/helpful staff, but some were more helpful than others. The room was smaller than the superior room I booked, but they said it was an upgrade because of the partial sea view… to me, if you book a larger room, that’s what you want, and the view can be a bonus if the rooms are at least the same size. Night after night the cleaning staff never replaced the toiletries, or the pool towels… which was a strange system. They also missed things each day when cleaning… like leaving the used wash cloths in the shower, which is pretty basic. Overall not bad, but a little disappointed…

The hotel is beautiful being directly on the beach. Our room was clean and nicely furnished. The people that worked at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious with many different food options. We would definitely come back.
