We specifically picked this property because of the fold out couch, pool and breakfast. The fold out couch we never used-the mattress was awful and you could feel the springs. Tried to use the pool the first night and it was closed due to service and did not open until after 10. The second day the pool heater was not working. Felt like lake water. Hot tub was the same. Breakfast was not maintained: ran out of everything and I was not kept up with: dinning area too small for the amount of guest. Ice machine was also broke the whole time. Would never come back

The hot tube and pool was really great and the patio. The rooms were good. They are going to be remodeling in January

My mom and I had a great experience. The pool and hot tub were very clean. Their patio setup is nice and relaxing. The morning breakfast was good. Staff is laid back and easy-going going and friendly.

building is in some need of repairs our ac unit was loud and no ice machines are working but everything was clean and the staff was very nice pool and hot tube was excellent

Pool wasn’t working. We specifically picked a hotel with a pool. Tv had a screeching sound in our first room. So we had to change rooms. In the second room the floor in the bathroom felt like you were going to go thru it. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again when there are so many other options near by.

The bed and sofa couch were very uncomfortable and the whirlpool jet tub didnt have a drain plug so couldnt be used. The pool and hot tub were good and its a convenient location to alot of activities

This hotel needs some help. It looks like it was a fantastic property at one point but many things were listed “out of service.” The pool area was very nice as well as quality of mattress but that’s it. There were several broken things in our room. The breakfast was the saddest display of complimentary breakfast I have ever seen (sausage links, bagels without cream cheese, 2 types of cheerios and a little milk, and coffee). Staff were friendly but seemed a little frazzled

What we liked! Room was clean, beds comfy, stay was in a good location. Room was quiet...even the mini fridge!!! (Almost give five stars just for the quiet fridge :) Breakfast was just ok, however many ppl were getting frustrated bc the pans were empty most of the time. My crew was fine, as we just grabbed a waffle. Pool was ok, there was a pool light that came out was still on, and hooked by wires, half the time it layed on the pool floor the other half layed on the side. That was concerning but idk if it was not safe. The luggage carts had low tires and ppl were struggling to get them on and off the elevator. They were out of towels when we asked, the gave us small hair style towels.. An ok stay!

Not good when the first thing you see when you check out the bathroom are long strands of hair on the shower wall. The pool was broken and breakfast was not memorable. Not many selections and they ran out of pancake mix, eggs, and sausage all at the same time as the attendant was smoking outside.

Very clean. We would stay there again. Only complaints would be the sofa in the room was pretty dirty.

The cleanliness was awful. The most disgusting part was our feet turned black from walking on the carpet. We also found a long fake fingernail along with mold/dirt on the bathroom floor. The spicket on the tub was hanging off and the closet door wouldn’t open/close. I told staff at check out and was told she would let her manger know and I haven’t heard back to date. The pool and lobby were well maintained

Dirty room and bathroom terrible condition

The room was unclean as far as walls having chunks of paint missing along with fabric on chair. The bathtub had mold.

Our room was pretty awful. Room 122 had mold in the bathtub. The jets didn’t work in the jacuzzi tub, there was a hole in the bathroom door and the paint is falling off.

Room was dirty and not well maintained. Towels had stains and shower curtain was discolored from mildew.

The room was clean. Bathroom had broken tiles on the floor but was still clean. You could tell it was an older hotel. But they still kept it clean.

Staff was friendly, but the facility and rooms were not clean. Even after asking to switch rooms, the second room was just as dirty.

The room was pretty clean, only gave us one set of towels, no shampoo but 2 conditioners, pool was nice, bed was super hard, we got put into a room that was right next to the stairs so we could hear all of the people in the lobby so that wasn’t that fun, but other than that it was an alright stay, can’t really beat the price

This property needs a face lift. The property seems clean but the room carpet was extremely dirty. We experienced sticky spots on carpet and had to wear shoes.

It’s an older hotel which I knew when booking. So, I didn’t expect it to be updated, but the clogged bathtub after showering and stained couch were unexpected. Also, room darkening curtains were not really room darkening. This room allowed us to not have to drive two hours home after an event so it served it’s purpose of which we were glad.

No king bed available even though one was booked & fully paid for. We were given a suite upgrade. Bed was old & so soft we both rolled to middle. Nice pool, hot tub & breakfast. Great location!

Nice appearance, it was clean... But when we got to room.. it hadn't been opened and aired out... A/c didn't work except for being on all the time... No towels... Room wasn't ready for rental... So we froze/ or sweated all night . Front desk wasn't very helpful...

It started when you walked in the door with a taped sign that the handicap door was broken and you could use one door noted then the fans on the floors that as there was a leak somewhere. The elevator door was so slow to open and close thought for sure it was not going anywhere. Walked into the room well only one door card worked out of 2 . The toilet seat was wobbly the shower oh my the tub surround was glued in a couple areas there was mildew in the corners no grab bars in the tub and the tub was like curved in so you had to position yourself right in the middle the shower curtain was not installed correctly so water went everywhere the exhaust fan did not work . So noisy I could hear the person above me walking most of the night . Only a 32” tv in the room . The coffee they supplied the k cup came out as water . The breakfast not sure you could call it that you had your choice of awful gravy and flat biscuits the waffle maker batter was empty so no waffles we gave up on breakfast. I will never stay here again I can’t believe what I was so much charged for this room good thing it was only one night

I’m not one to usually write a review, but this is hands down the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at. The floor planks lifted up with your feet when you walked in the hotel room. The bathroom light never turned off. The towels were as thin as tissue and when we asked the front desk for new towels on our second day, they told us to find a cleaning lady. The bathroom had paint splattered all over the floor, toilet, and door. The bathroom sink didn’t drain. When we opened the window curtains the first morning a dead bug fell out onto the bed. We stayed in the junior suite with a king size bed and wish we didn’t stay at this hotel at all. The reviews and pictures the website has are really nothing like the experience. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!!!!

Check in was easy.. the guy at the desk was, decent. The lobby and pool area seemed quite clean. The carpets need cleaned drastically. Our room was ok. Outdated but big. It had everything we needed and the staff was pleasant and helpful enough. Breakfast was typical for Continental. The area is ok. It's by a lot of business. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. Overall, it's overpriced for the quality. But not the worst I've been to.

STAY AWAY!! Pros: great location, indoor pool & hot tub, and nice patio. Cons: pictures are old. -no air conditioning in our room or public areas! We had a baby who couldn’t regulate body temp yet and the monitor showed 86F during the night! -3 staff didn’t put work order in for ac! Had a meltdown at management to finally get it looked at! Here’s the kicker - person who wrote a review for day we checked in said they lost ac in the suite at the end of their stay - the hotel knew!! -brown spots on pillow case when we checked in and they didn’t have any more. -key cards recoded multiple times a day. -staff disappeared from desk/didn’t answer phone constantly -no towels or wash cloths in the room and front desk ran out?! -all 3 ice machines broken -housekeeping there every 3 days but they never cleaned our room! We were there 5.5 days. Rooms were gross! I had to clean the tub before putting my kids in for baths! Floor was sticky. First night I showered and walked to bed to get clothes and my feet were black! So gross!! -dog policy on their website says dog fee $25/day w a max of $25 per stay. They charged $25/day - two separate charges on my card! -breakfast ends at 9am but staff cleans it at 8:45am. - one door hook on the bathroom door 4 people suite. -exterior doors don’t lock so anyone can enter. -took our own trash out and washed our towels at the laundromat in town. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again!!

On a whim we grabbed a room here for a night just for fun. The good: The fireplace worked. The king size bed was decently comfortable. The suite was spacious. The hot tub and pool worked and we enjoyed it. It met our needs, which were to spend some time together. The bad: Key cards weren't working, like in the entire hotel so the poor desk guy had to literally break into our room with a special rod (which is a little disconcerting how easy it was). If we were to leave we had to leave it propped open. Neither TV worked. Remotes were entirely non-functional and the screens were grimy. The refrigerator was actively defrosting and leaking all over the floor. The bathub/shower was weirdly concave making it uncomfortable to stand. Anyone unstable would have a hard time of it.

Like the convenience of having everything so close. The room on the other hand is so outdated and the shower was extremely slow and the tub would back up horribly. Hotel was once a very nice place to stay as I stood there before. But nowadays, I would pass on staying there unless your desperate.

Our reservation was not confirmed via e-mail, several hours after checking in, we were notified that our room was reserved for someone else, we were asked to register again. Hotel desk staff had no idea on what the issue was only that we had to check in again. Our room had spilled candy on the floor, definitely needed vacuuming! Checking out, asked for a copy of my bill, and had to wait several minutes until they could find someone that knew how to print a copy.

Staff, especially the housekeeping, were friendly, courteous and professional. When I checked out on Monday morning, the only guy 8:30 am, waited for me to say something so I handed the 2 key cards…did his thing and said “all set”. Not even a thank you, thanks for spending over $1,000 for a week, have a good day, NOTHING. I was the only person at the desk. I just heard they were bought out and it’s getting renovated. I would start by renovations with the front desk.

From the moment I walked in desperately needing a (VERY) early check-in due to car troubles, to needing them to actually print a receipt out for me rather than just E-Mailing it (sorry to everyone there for that one!), to needing to decrease the length of stay but then having to add one more day at the last moment, every single member of the staff (morning, afternoon, evening/late) took care of me, answered every single question, and acknowledged my presence throughout the entire property! Thank you, everyone, very much!

So many problems! The door keys kept failing So, I had to return to the desk multiple times. The TV wouldn’t work. ( 2x) And no one answered the phones at reception, so, I had to return to the desk. There wasn’t a hair dryer in my room. No one answered the phone, so I had to return to the desk. Then getting me a hair dryer was forgotten. No one answered the phone at the desk, so, I had to return to the desk. The breakfast, the last morning, ran out because the lady running the desk was also trying to put out the breakfast. I understood that the housekeeping was only every 3 days…. I realize everyone is having difficulty in staffing now. This is a nice hotel and I have stayed there before. Very sad to have so many problems.

Overall it was good , lady on the reception was very helpful and super nice, the other guy wasn’t. Thank you.

Pool and outdoor area was great. When we checked in, there was hair in our shower- we got moved to a different room. Breakfast was minimal. On checkout day, the cleaning lady barged into our room without knocking, TWICE. Then rushed us out even thought we had till 11 to check out.

The hotel was the second one of the night (since the first hotel was absolutely horrendous). The front desk girl was very good, attentive and courteous. The hotel room itself was nice. Good clean condition. Comfortable bed. The only issue we had with this hotel was that at about 5am, another guest started screaming and banging on a nearby room’s door. This continued for about 20 minutes. She left and came back later, and it became even more belligerent. Finally the cops arrived, so I do appreciate that the hotel staff were attempting to fix the problem.

It was convenient to get to restaurants and shopping center.

Lots of noise from room above us, we were on 2. Ice machine was broke, they later went and got bags. 1st impression was very wrinkled bedding. Breakfast bar was very lacking 2 apples, we ate breakfast and still waffle mix was empty after asking employee about it. Dirty tables. Good location

We found the inn easy to get to downtown and the beach with ample dinning selection.

Great location for traveling to Holland and the surroundings area. Not far from downtown and an easy commute there. Every big name and chain store, restaurant, fast food, you name it is within a mile or two. It’s nice being a service road to the side of US-31 making traveling too and from anywhere easy. Hotel was nice on the inside, everything felt updated within the last 10 years except the actual rooms but they were still great. Bigger tv than most hotels and was centered with the bed. All rooms on the first floor do have doors to the outside however, so if that’s something you don’t want try requesting a second or third floor room. It did make it easy for unloading and loading the car but we tried not to use it otherwise to keep the deadbolt locked. The rooms in the back are nice because it’s just trees back there so it feels more secluded with having a door directly to the outside. Our outside door wasn’t fully insulated and some light was leaking through which was unfortunate. Also, probably just the nature of having a door directly to the outside but there was some dirt and grass and such slightly built up around the door on the inside. Breakfast was good with some decent options, coffee machine was the best one I’ve seen at a hotel. It’s understandable showing up within 30 minutes of it closing to not have as many options on the hot/cooked options but things like yogurt and milk for cereal should always be stocked for when those things run out. Overall a great stay!

Ok hotel in a great area

Perfect for a weekend couples getaway in Saugatuck! It was only about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Saugatuck over to Holland. They gave us the suite on the second floor which was wonderful. Clean, free breakfast in the morning, comfy beds. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay on the west side of Michigan!

Close to all of the main attractions in Holland!

It's conveniently located within minutes of downtown Holland and area attractions and within 30 minutes od Saugatuck. The breakfast bar has more diversity than we expected, including sausage and eggs one morning. Our room was clean and comfortable, and every evening we were there, we toom advantage of the patio area to relax and unwind from each vacation day. We will book again when we return to Holland.

Holland is a beautiful area; this hotel was perfect, and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay a great experience.

Customer Service was terrible and they did not care about their customers. The continental breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! They ran out of everything and when asked to refill the person in charge did not care and said they ran out and breakfast was over in 30 minutes anyway. The pool was filthy. It was not clean and you could see all the dirt in it. My rooms air conditioner barely worked and the linen smelled. No staff member seamed to care. I will never go back!

We went down for breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean however there were no eggs or sausage & bacon. When we asked if they could make some more they said the cooked stopped making them at 8:30 even though they serve till 9:00am. We complained and then they made more. 3 other couples came in after us and complained also. The waffle maker wasn't working. If you advertise that you serve breakfast till 9:00 am, food should be available till then.

I wanted to give a great review but sadly they didn't come through with their promise. There was no breakfast. If you are booking a room with breakfast then find another place. Other reviews said the same thing. At 8:10 there was no breakfast. All the quests that didn't get breakfast were promised compinsation for the breakfast as a refund or discount. I prepaid with hotels.ca. I was promised a refund through hotels.ca. It's been a week & after a couple emails still no refund for the breakfast. If I had not booked through hotels.ca & prepaid I would have received the discount. There is no way to get in touch with hotels.ca The online chat doesn't work. So don't expect breakfast & think twice about prepaid rooms though Hotels.ca. On the plus side the man that checked me in was amazing. Thank you. Pool was cold but I was happy for the swim.Room was clean

Breakfast is only till 9, even though online says 10. Breakfast staff turns things off while t4ting to get food refused to refill items.

The only problem we had was breakfast. Very poorly organized. Most of the time there was nothing left and nobody was there to help. Desk clerk was trying to do both jobs. Not good for business. Tables were not cleaned at all so if you wanted to eat there you had to clean your own table.

Hot eggs and breakfast meats were gone, milk for cereal was gone, no fruit, very little plain white bread (no bagels left), and the only thing left in the fridge was Trix yogurt cups - but there weren’t even any spoons left to eat the yogurt. I was highly disappointed by this. I understand breakfast ends at 9, but that means breakfast continues until 9… not everything runs out 30 minutes early and nothing is refilled. Other than that, the stay was average. Decently clean rooms. Our bathroom smelled musty. Nothing extraordinary. I would stay again for the price, but I would look for availability elsewhere first.
