The service and the room itself were great. Pool and fitness room are great! Wonderful breakfast host. But the hems had come undone on the room drapes, conditioner bottle in the shower was empty, the parking lot was pitch black (very few working lights and not enough lights) and the main hotel sign is small and hidden by shrubbery. Small but important details.

The staff was extremely friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the exterior was being "redone" so when we returned to the hotel after being out for the day, the closest parking lot to the entry was closed. We had to enter on a lower level, and the elevator was malfunctioning, with a warning light and buzzer on. We reported this to the desk, but it was till not working in the morning. So, we had to carry our luggage several floors down.

The shower in my room was terrible, it took literally 5 min to get hot water. Majority of the ice machines were broken, had to go to different floors for ice. Hot tub was broken, several guests complained about the same thing, room was average at best, facilities need an update. Staff @ the property were excellent

The hotel is under construction for renovations. Lobby closed, plastic on the windows, some parts done, other parts not. Even with that aside, the hotel itself has a very strange layout making it tricky to find your way around. The bathroom was the smallest hotel bathroom I have ever seen. They had a rolling barn door because there was no way a regular door would work. While the bathroom was remodeled, the shower floor was stained or just looked gross.

The room was great. Clean plenty of towels. We did have to ask for body wash as our bottle was empty. Pool could have been better. There was a day where there were no towels globs of spit or something floating on top of the water. And the pool was cold it could have used a bit of heat. Disappointed that the bar area was closed. One of the perks we were counting on.

The room was dirty upon arrival, crumbs and hair in beds, hair in tub, and toilet dirty. The whole room was dusty. I went to front desk to provide this information and ask for a new room. The front desk staff informed they had no other rooms that could accommodate our party/room type. They offered to do a deep clean of the room, which meant we had to leave the property for them to do so. Not having another place to stay in the area, we had no choice but to agree to this. The ONLY saving grace at this hotel was Anna at the front desk who did the clean herself with the help of an assistant. She wrote an I’m sorry card and provided a small tin of cookies. The fact that these items exist should be enough to know they have had problems in the past. I requested a call from the manager, and two days post stay there has been no call, no apology, nothing. I called again today to speak to the manager and again got a response from front desk staff of “we can write a note to her to call-acknowledging that there is already a note for her. Very disappointed in this hotel. For being a Doubletree by Hilton, I expected for this hotel to meet the quality standards we are all used to. They failed to even meet minimal expectations. Do not book this hotel.

Lobby areas were nice but the room, particularly the shower, could have been cleaner. Example - mold on the grout of the soap dish. Also, our room was on the 1st floor opening unto the pool area which was very noisy. There were loud parties until midnight.

There was mold all through the bathroom door, water leaked out from the tub, there was dirt in the bed sheets, open soap container in the wastebasket but no soap for me to use. Looked like someone had been in the room or that it was not fully cleaned after the prior stay. Curtains were also broken on the one side so hard to close when you are on first floor and there is a sidewalk right outside your window.

We had a pretty good stay here, although at first we were pretty disappointed. There is an abandoned building (looked like a restaurant) next door and the immediate area around the hotel is nothing to write home about. More so, the interior of the building is in serious need of an update. It has not had a fresh coat of paint since approximately 1983, and things like the ceiling and the doors are just very old and outdated. The staff was excellent! Very friendly and helpful - would go out of their way to make sure everything was going well. We had a burnt out light in the bathroom and I asked for it to be replaced and a couple of hours later, I got a text that they had fixed it. The bed was comfy and the room itself was fine. We got over our initial disappointment. The hotel is very close (but not walking distance) to lots of restaurants etc. We went to Oval Beach in Saugatuck and it was about a 15-20 minute drive. Overall we had a great time. But with the name "Hilton" in the ownership of this hotel, they really could splurge for some paint and freshen up the place.

This hotel definitely needs to be updated. Especially paying $300 a night. The rooms were beat up and run down. Beds were comfy but that’s about the only good thing. The air wasn’t very cold and it was over 90 out so we were so sweaty.

the Hotel is outdated in decor. Layout of hotel is confusing, scattered. Pool is very stuffy, humid and smelly. Windows around pool should have design to open. Rooms are very outdated and needs maintenance. Shower equipment fell off wall

I gave it overall a 3 but don’t mean it as anything bad, just average - which to me was good enough for what I needed! Room had a lingering smoke smell which I assume means it had previously been a smoking room many years ago - that was kind of a bummer. Bathroom was small. Bed was fantastic and I didn’t hear anyone else in the hotel which are my top two priorities. Pool was good and open early/late which was convenient. The A/C seemed a little sketchy, not convinced it was working properly but again was good enough. I’d stay here again!

Honestly, this was the worst hotel stay of my life and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels. Management was INSANELY rude and disrespectful. We were threatened with cops if we didn’t leave the premises in 15 minutes for bringing in Pizza Hut, there’s no signage saying we couldn’t and there were plenty of other guests bringing in their own food. We were told our groups kids were causing fear to other guests for doing a line dance yet no other guests were near us nor able to see us. Apparently our young line dancers were taken straight from Children of the Corn. So yea, thanks for causing a group of young kids to be traumatized by making them believe that being a dancing kid is worthy of being arrested. The building itself was cold and uninviting. The rooms were the size of a shoebox and there were stains all over the buildings carpet. Walking in felt like I was walking into L. Ron Hubbard house of horrors. This is a disgrace to the Hilton name.

Dirty hallways. After contacting front desk telling them I would be late for my check in, front desk confirmed “no problem “ . When I arrived my reservation was cancelled. Room was almost a $100 dollars more to stay. Bad business

Did not like that staying here 3 nights, they wanted extra charge for 1 pm checkout instead of 12pm?? Did not appreciate room service just walking in at 8:15 am without knocking. There was a do not disturb sign on door. Quite alarming. Quite rude. Quite scary..

We loved the room and loved the stay. After the weekend, on our way home, a charge popped up on my bank for bottled waters used in the room. We purposely did not use the waters, as they said that they were only free for gold members, besides we brought our own. I called to complain and was basically told I was a liar and the charge kept on. I should have taken pictures of the bottles sitting there when we left..........We will never stay at a Doubletree again!

They didn’t have my reservation right after I called two days in a row to make sure I wouldn’t have any issues, they wanted me to pay an extra $65 for my room a night, I was able to find it online a little cheaper but they wouldn’t do the original rate I booked at. They knocked on my door at 10pm saying they were calling the police because they didn’t have anyone booked in this room. The only good thing about this hotel was the maintenance man

We stayed for 1 night in early July. Rooms were clean and tidy so were all the common areas - pool, dining, etc. Parking was very spacious but had to walk far to reach the reception. Staff is not very courteous or acomodating any special requests.

Staff was VERY friendly. Room could have been cleaner there was food and drinks in the fridge from previous occupants. Grounds are a little nerve wracking overgrown landscaping and surrounding buildings closed down, people loitering in the parking lot just made us feel a little unsafe coming and going. Pool was very clean and staff was nice overall was a nice stay.

The DoubleTree in Holland is very nice. It is clean and open feeling in the common areas. Our room was big enough for the two of us, and the bed was really comfy. It is located just off 131, so easy to get around Holland.

I felt the toilets were way way too low to the floor. The breakfast was costly for what foods were available, it was no different than a continental breakfast but you had to pay. Food in the lounge was excellent. White bed sheets had stains on them upon entering our room the 1st night. Also no complimentary hand soap in the bathroom. TV remote was useless at operating the TV. Left curtain in room #133 has a gap between the wall on the left side so the parking lot lights illuminate the entire headboard on that side of the room.

Restaurant was closed, bar was closed, carpet was disgusting and loose, room was musty, shower head was loose and spraying out of shower, bathtub drain stopper did not work, toilet seat was loose, fridge door would not close because it needed to be defrosted, pillows were beyond used and very uncomfortable, and could not charge phones reliably because outlets were loose, front desk staff not welcoming and seemed lost. Breakfast staff was very friendly and did a great at job, pool was excellent.

The only downfall to the place was they wanted $14 for a plate if biscuits and gravy. The nice lady was happy to let me know it came with eggs!! We just ate elsewhere. Not a deal breaker.

The hotel was pretty nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was a good price. The hotel restaurant was very good. The food was great. The chef and the bartender were amazing. Lindsay was the bartender. She did a great job. The breakfast downstairs at that hotel restaurant was also good. It was a fair price. They had great coffee. No complaints at all. That waitress was very nice. The front desk was very helpful. The pool was being chemically balanced, and having maintenance for two days. That was the only thing that was a little disappointing. But overall, this was a great stay. I highly recommend it.

There was no bartender at night and there was no cook to make breakfast in the morning so we had to settle with a limited menu in which i purchased the breakfast vouchers. The rooms were not the cleanliness and the hot tub water looks and smells kinda funny.
