The Star Grand Brisbane

Loved the experience ... but for that price we expected the facilities to be up and running..No pool..Sauna..Spa..Gym etc...It left a bad taste in our mouth as we were geared up for the full experience.Plus the casino was a bit lame and small for the size of the establishment it almost seemed like it was old and needed a refirb.As i say we loved it but just missed the mark for usin some areas.

Good overall stay - modern clean rooms and nice pool area/gym.

Thoroughly enjoyed our two nights in a river view room on level 13 in tower 2. Unfortunately the pool and steam room facilities were not finished yet, despite an indication when booking that they would be ready in December. The room was very luxurious, the view stunning, staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, easy walk to Southbank or the city. Plenty of great restaurants, parks and entertainment close by and in the hotel. Will definitely be back!

Brand new 5 start hotel. What else to say. Everything was brand new, smells great. However, their leisure centre isn't ready yet, so no pool/gym.

Stunning accommodation in the heart of the CBD. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, featuring modern comforts and technology, including bedside USB and USB-C charging ports and automated curtains that open to reveal a spectacular view upon entry. Guests enjoy exclusive access to an impressive recreational area with pools, a sauna, steam room, and a well-equipped gym, all offering breathtaking views over Southbank. The lifts provide direct access from any floor to the Sky Deck, which is a standout feature. All staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to guest needs. Complimentary minibar snacks and beverages, along with two drink vouchers for the club, were a lovely added touch. Room service was prompt and delivered with a smile. I very much look forward to returning.

This was our first stay here. On arrival staff were pleasant & accomodating and the hotel was visually appealing, with some free minibar items provided in the room. After the first night i was kept awake by a noise around what i believed to be the window area, which i could still hear above the air conditioner. I have trouble sleeping anyway and had requested a quite room. The next day i raised the noise with the desk, after friends came to the room and they could hear it as well , by this stage i had turned the air con off. Engineers looked at the room whilst we were out and believed they found the issue to be plastic in the aircon. Problem fixed, sadly NO. The noise persisted and staff offered to relocate us to a city view room , which was much larger, but this time you could hear the road below. We opted to stay in our allocated room. I have to wonder if perhaps it is the design of the building, that causes the wind noise as the buildings seem to be around a coutryard entertainment area. Not sure if all rooms in tower two in the same position suffer the same fate.I also noted that even though there was houskeeping and the beds were made, i could tell the sheets and pillow cases were not changed during our 3 day stay, as my pillow case had make up from a nap on my first day. Not sure if this is normal practice, on another day the full bins were not emptied in the room. Overall it was a pleasant stay, but i chose to give an honest review to assist others after my experiences

Lighting isn’t the best, bath robe had makeup on it, not what you’d expect for the price

The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. View from the 17th floor suite (tower 1) was incredible at night. All staff were polite and helpful. The room service food was delicious- great portions and delivered hot. Highly recommend the coffee from the bar in the lobby. Really impressed with the Star Grand, would confidently recommend.

Wir waren begeistert von der Ausstattung. Pool-Landschaft ist super und mit einem tollen Blick auf den Fluss. Zimmer waren großzügig und sehr sauber. Die Skybar auf der Dachterasse ist der Hammer. Sehr nettes Personal.

Everything was perfect ! The rooms are amazing the views spectacular.

Fantastic views of Brisbane River and Southbank from massive floor to ceiling windows in the room. Great size rooms with soft comfortable bed. Great Staff.

Didnt do a buffet breakfast so tended to eat elsewhere and enjoy the brisbane vibe. Rooms were really spacious and modern with luxurious bedding and amenities. Only small downside to the room was the bedside tables didnt have drawers and there was very little draw space in the cupboard. Bearing in mind the size of the room this seemed odd as plenty of space to have more storage. Overall though the hotel was beautifully appointed with 3 swimming pool areas, multiple bars and areas to relax and enjoy and a superb location with the pedestrian bridge to the south bank right outside the hotel.

Lovely room with great view. We’re in a twin room on 11th floor. Sheets were divine. The pillows were too thick unfortunately. We booked the room for 3 yet there were only 2 cups. Lot of options for eating in the building so very convenient. Great pools with views and good to have a gym onsite.

Luxurious, large spacious suites with spectacular views of the Brisbane river overlooking Southbank Parklands, from river view suites. Also, little things count, nice toiletries and a descent hair dryer.

Yeah the air conditioning facing wrong way certain area of the room couldn’t feel it but other than that no complaints here everything else was 10/10…

The Star prides itself for delivering excellent customer service. From the time we arrived we were welcomed by Emma at the Front desk; she is an asset to the property. Professional and personable. The GM Hotel sent us a personalized note with a complementary bottle of wine. Very impressed with the level of excellence displayed by all team members.

Firstly having an Al a Carte Menu for Breakfast was limit and slow. Staff were inexperienced and novice. Housekeeping was slow and did not pay attention to detail.

Staff were amazing, we were giving a room upgrade which was an amazing view. We can’t fault anything at all. We definitely come back

We had the suite booked and the service was terrible. We had to phone down 4 times for items that werent stocked, and then when asking to use the pool on the day of departure as the weather the day prior didnt allow us to use the pool the team refused, were incredibly unhelpful and refused any sort of discussion despite the fact id booked the trip for my sisters 50th birthday as a special trip and spent alot of money on the suite. Ive stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and you are always allowed to use the facilities the day of departure. This interaction, together with the poor service during our stay left our whole experience on a sour note which is extremely dissapointing given the special occasion we were celebrating.

Was charged for breakfast and they dont give you invoices to check first on check out We had a day to kill before our evening flight and hotel policy once checked out at 11am you cant use any hotel facilities

Like: The staff are absolute top tier, and it started from stepping out of the car on arrival to being farewelled on departure. The gentle care and cheerfulness of staff across the various areas of the hotel made for an exceptional stay. The Star Grand Brisbane is a complete holiday destination that I intend to return to as often as possible. It's a must be experienced location, there are not enough words to describe how much I love the look and feel of this place. I especially love that I could access the casino, restaurants, entertainment, green and social spaces by just taking the lift. The pools and poolside dining options with expansive views is as perfect as guest access to the Skydeck on an extremely busy Saturday night. Fantastic first-time experience overall! I'm really looking forward to experiencing it again with my family next time. Dislike: Toilet paper

Fantastic hotel with brilliant facilities & customer service.

Room service very slow 1 hour for a coffee and had to chase, check out line rediculous, parking ticket incorrect date when validated so couldn’t get out without calling someone

The location is fantastic, ideal for both CBD dining and (because of the pedestrian bridge) for Southbank. I really liked the furnishings and the views impressed me every time I entered the room. The shared facilities (gym, heated pools) were excellent and not at all busy. The staff were very helpful. Parking was convenient although, as usual for the CBD, not particularly cheap. The room itself was relatively cheap although I suspect low prices will not last when people realise the teething troubles have all been resolved.

Excellent hotel for a city break. Genuine 5 star hotel. Easy checkin. Spacious comfortable room. Excellent amenities, good wifi, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, great views. Close to city centre and Southbank. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here only one night to see a show in Southbank was super convenient to just walk across the pedestrian bridge and back - nice big clean rooms - enjoyed the stay

Fint luksushotel. Meget fokus om casinoet. Vi brugte skybaren som havde en god udsigt. Hotellet er forbundet med en bro til south bank, som er hyggelig.

Amazing hotel with all the facilities you need. Great views of Southbank and easy access to the city. Clean rooms with inclusive mini fridge and bar snacks. Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Brisbane!

The hotel is gorgeous. It has a beautiful lobby, swimming pool and the rooms are beautifully appointed with fabulous views. I had dinner in Aloria Restaurant which was amazing.

One of the best hotels in Brisbane. No buffet breakfast is a little disappointing. I would give in room dining a miss too. Location, facilities and hotel condition is truly five star. We had an enjoyable stay.

Overllay great excpt breakfast. Table was not well ready for services. Wasnt cleaness of table and chairs. Smelly bacon couldnt eat at all. Can't believe the quality of 5stars breakfast.

Everything about the hotel was excellent, it was clean, conveniently located, the parking was great, and the complimentary mini bar was a nice touch. However, the in-room dining menu could offer more variety, and the continental breakfast was below expectations and could be improved

The room was amazing and the location fabulous for a city stay close to everything. The room inclusions were a great extra touch. Trying to access the parking is tricky and very poorly signposted. The breakfast was disappointing and the fact I ordered gluten free being ceoliac and the served a meal with gluten in it could have been disastrous, had I not noticed it was the same as my husbands serving I would have been very ill. Over all we would stay again but skip the breaky option!

How this is 5 star resort has me beat Service was terrible at any restaurant or bar in the casino Room service took over an hour and a half Drinks were inconsistent always tasted different Casino dealers were miserable Never advised pool and facilities werent available untill march Waste of money

The hotel has the most beautiful pool area - 3 pools to choose from and a gorgeous gym. The choice of places to dine is wonderful and Sokyo was outstanding! The room had a wonderful view through the two buildings to the hinterland, so it made absolutely no difference that we did not have a river view. Huge sweeping window, the height of the ceiling makes all the difference. Lovd staying here.

A really brilliant hotel, nice views, quite room, brilliant restaurants (particularly the Italian on Level 4, exceptional) right in the CBD, walk to everything. Awesome.
