did not see the SPA, The breakfast is great, but the dinner does not meet my expectations, compared to the breakfast.

Overall a great choice for us: good location on the waterfront with a large park right across the street, many good food options and shopping malls within waking distance, easy and cheap Grab rides to area attractions, friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast buffet, room service food that exceeded our expectations, nice outdoor swimming pool and sitting area with a view.

A convenient and lovely place to stay in Penang. Easy to get a Grab or be dropped and picked up. Every staff member I encountered was a delight to interact with. I love the sea view which is at the less built up end of Gurney Drive. M Club was the cherry on the cake where the service, food and drinks were excellent. Turn down service always left a little sweet treat. I will definitely stay there again. Thank you to Shane and the team.

Excellent service and facilities. Friendly and helpful staff - special mention to Intan who checked us in and ensured my family had adjacent views. Even the top brass; Mr Ken Thien, was at the lobby and breakfast buffet engaging guests and providing recommendations, where to eat, how to get there, offering me an umbrella. They deserve more than 5 stars really. Kudos to them team including Basil, Faris, and the rest (apologies, some names were missed!)

We had booked 2 rooms for our family of 6. Amir at the front desk was amazing in keeping up with our request as we had requested for the rooms to be next door to eachother or connecting rooms. He was very polite and helpful. Mizan also the manager at the front desk was also very polite and helpful, if we had and questions or requests they were met very promptly, always greeeted us with a smile and politeness. Hotel was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was a beautiful spread of local dishes, fresh fruits, yogurts, tea, coffee, pastries, cakes and much much more. You can request the chefs to make you a omelette of your choice along with any other dish you wish to put together within reason as they had all fresh ingredients available. The rooms were cleaned regularly mornings and also by the evenings we would also have another round of cleaners come by to check on water bottles which were supplied to the room or just give the rooms a quick tidy. The mini bar was all complimentary which was a bonus as there is a pool, Gym and kids club which again was free of charge aswell as the wifi and they also had a choice of connecting your devices to the tv along with either watching Youtube or Netflix. The 3 kids club staff were absolutely amazing. My little 6 year old loved going to the kids club nearly everyday, as they had alot of different activities for children to do like puzzles, reading, colouring, drawing, origami which the staff sit down with you and do together.

We thought club staff superb,helpful,engaging and friendly. 23rd night room service was very late arriving and partially cold. I day our room was not made up also and we had been out for at least 4 to 5 hours. Likely teething troubles of a new hotel... Sea View rooms view is fantastic.

Room was beautiful and had a great view. Comfortable bed and great shower pressure. Bar/lobby had good drinks and cafe had amazing pastries. Breakfast was a great spread and they make so many things for you. Wish we had more days here.

Situated on Gurney Drive with view of the ocean and where dining and shopping options are plentiful. Hotel offers free shuttle to shopping mall. No beach so ocean swimming is not an option. The hotel does have an infinity pool. Sago, the hotel restaurant, serves a variety of food including Australian/English, Malay, Chinese, Indian with limited Japanese selections in a buffet style. Did not try the other restaurants on site. Room is very comfortable and amenities are on par with the luxurious Marriott standard. Hotel staff very friendly and available to help with transportation and other information. English is widely spoken by all the staff. Would definitely return for another stay.

Penang Marriott was everything we hoped for - great people, great room (with a fab shower), great location, lovely pool and plenty of dining options. The hotel definitely lives up to every one of its 5 stars…we loved it!

The hotel room was very smelly since the hotel was just opened few months ago. We wanted to shorten our stay and requested it via Expedia. And then the hotel changed a better room so we stayed 2 nights as planed. But the vehicle that the hotel booked for us to the airport was terrible. Only one safe belt worked on the back seats. Loud local music and strong spray smell…….The driver kept making calls on the way to the airport in very high speed. So scared! Most likely it wasn’t a certificated vehicle but it charged us double more than a normal taxi. How could A 5-star hotel make this kind of arrangement?

I booked and requested two rooms on the same floor. However, there was no response to my messages sent via Hotels.com or to my emails to the loyalty manager. Upon check-in, the counter staff were initially unaware of my request, but they were helpful and managed to arrange both rooms on the same floor. The room was consistently clean, well stocked, and serviced promptly each day. While the stay itself was satisfactory, I was disappointed by the lack of communication prior to arrival.

Excellent hotel staff - all were very polite and helpful. Slightly odd layout in the room, but perfectly clean and functional. Very noisy building work nearby during the day. Needed to get a Grab into the town each day but the drivers were cheap and efficient.

Service was warm and always with a smile. Checking in and out was a breeze. My room was very spacious with a partial sea view. Would stay here again.

The room door is not soundproof and it is very noisy. I was awakened 3 times during my nap. I called the front desk to ask for a room change but waited for 2 hours but no response. I went to the counter downstairs to ask for a room change again but the front desk said they would check and no response at all. I felt like I was staying in a 2-star hotel!

Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful - phone was very quiet and hard to hear when speaking to staff - buttons on phone were not relevant to the call being made - ended up only using the concierge number as all other numbers were either not answering or going to the wrong area - room 2228

I was charged Club room price but on the first day i could not access the 20th floor Club facilities. Only the next day was I guven access so I was overcharged cor facilities I could not enjoy

Went there for a couple retreat weekend. Location is north of most of what you want to see in Georgetown. Given the pricing of the room it’s not something I want to return to.
