Rome Ciampino Smart Hotel

Interesting concept. Had two nights 2 weeks apart. One room was fine, the other had a very awkward shaped bathroom that was a bit hard to shower in. Clean setting otherwise in a residential area and after 11pm planes don’t fly much so not overly noisy. Hotel provides earplugs however which is a bit funny. I did not need them. I would say good value for your money.

Vi havde et tidligt fly fra lufthavnen i Ciampino. Vi valgte at sove en nat på hotellet og det var den bedste beslutning! Nem og digitaliseret self-check-inn og hurtig kommunikation med personalet på Whats-App. Selvom receptionen officielt lige var lukket da vi kom, fik vi stadig hjælp af den venlige receptionist, som bestilte en taxa for os til lufthavnen næste morgen. 5-10 minutter fra lufthavnen - helt perfekt. Opholdet var roligt og rent!

The smart hotel was an excellent base to explore Rome. There is a shuttle bus service from the airport to the town on Ciampino which takes 5 mins and costs 1euro20. The train station is a 2 min walk from the hotel and frequent trains get you to Rome central in 15 mins for 1euro50. The town of Ciampino is a good base with a nice restaurant called Rosmarino and a great cafe that does decent breakfasts called Norcineria at good prices. The smart hotel was exceptionally clean, the room was cleaned ever day with fresh towels. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and there was a free coffee vending machine. Would recommend as a cheap and convenient base for Rome.

This property is hard to find. They will share you many lines of navigation path which if missed you are lost. There are many bug boards for this but the property is a small flgate which one can easily miss. 2) Not family friendly in case you have young kids. 3) escalater too small to accomodate stroller. 4) They will share passwords so if your phone is dead or no internet you are in trouble. 5) No one to attend or to show you where u need to go if you are coming during night. 6) Also you get in property then go to first floor then on extreme right there is another gate where u need to put pass code. 7) Then u need to desrch for ur room and figure out where to go. 8) fonally after a long trip i expect a good breakfast but you come to know its stored in fridge(also locked by passcode) and can be eaten. We were left hungry.. I would recommend go with some hotel in this area wothout breakfast because thee are many good shops around to have it and also walkable distance for supermarket. Good thing may just be that u have a direct bus from airport which will leave u close to this hotel. But other than that its not worth the money.

Just book it! Very nice room, pristine, clean, and brand new. Bed and linens were superb. Style is modern and elegant. The room was not big but it felt spacious enough and very functional. There was enough room to open my big suitcase and still have room to maneuver easily around the bed. The bathroom was very nice and also brand new with nice soap, conditioner and shampoo dispensers. Reception was staffed until late evening though not at night. Automated Check-in was seamless though I am sure the young lady at the reception would have helped. This is an entire floor of rooms in a residential building, so it feels in between an airbnb and a hotel. It felt very welcoming and very well organized. The building itself must be from the 1970s, so nothing to write home about, but the hotel floor is completely newly renovated. The signage was very clear and it was very easy to find and access the hotel. Contrary to some reviews, the area is pleasant, with a few nice local restaurants , and surprisingly quiet. Definitely nothing sketchy about it. Perhaps some visitors are not used to suburban Rome. I was out until 10:30 pm and left at 5 am in the morning and felt completely safe. It is a residential neighborhood and felt like the neighborhood were I grew up in a different town in Italy. I was afraid that I would hear airport noise, instead it was dead quiet. I drove to the hotel and easily found street parking a few steps from the hotel entrance. The hotel also has parking for 20E

Klein hotel tussen woonwijk eerste dag was het even zoeken, maar met code kan je makkelijk naar binnen. Vriendelijk personeel die altijd antwoord had op vragen. En voor je klaar stond. Schone kamer. Bed is wel hard. Gratis koffie/thee die je onbeperkt kan pakken. Koelkast met kluisjes in de gang niet in de kamer. Er is wel lawaai, je hoort je buren. Personeel heeft voor ons vervoer geregeld, fijn hotel voor aantal nachten, geen drukke stad en supermarkt en cafés in de buurt. Ook is het treinstation op loop afstand.

Convenient stay for overnight near Ciampino airport. Used the recommended car service to get to the airport (20 euros). Clean and well appointed .

Great small hotel .Very clean room . The only complaint was that the very small shower. You couldn't move around in it or wash properly.

The hotel is great, staff are fantastic! We were able to leave our luggage and check in early, then hotel front desk kindly arranged a transfer to the airport for us. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfy and bathroom was nice, equipped with shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. The shower cubicle was very small (we were room 101 not sure if this is the case for every room) but not a problem for just 1 night before an early flight. The location is good - a couple of minutes walk to the train station which was a very cheap train into Rome centre. Although we had a great stay, something to note (that we did not): although it is located right next to the airport, there is no link to the airport /easy access on foot - a taxi or shuttle still needs to be arranged. The hotel staff were very helpful and arranged this for us for only €20. I believe there’s a bus from the train station but this was not operating early enough for our 6am flight. In hindsight we could’ve travelled to the airport from the city centre just the same (where we’d stayed for the rest of our trip). At a fraction of the price of a Rome hotel, it might be a good option for budget or business travellers who don’t mind staying in a quiet town & travelling to the centre by train

You can take a bus or taxi to reach the hotel from Ciampino airport, train is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel easy to find and reception lady was very nice and multilingual beyond english & Italian, the bed was comfy and a nice balcony for an added bonus

Great budget hotel close to airport and train station at Ciampino. Easy to take train to central Rome for less than £1.50 each way in 10-15mins. Very clean hotel and comfortable rooms. Nice, friendly and helpful reception staff. More of a residential area than tourist but a good base. Breakfast box mainly snacks but handy if pushed for time. Maybe go to the cafe by the station a few hundred yards away if you want a more up market breakfast which is popular. Airport bus link to Ciampino will take you to Ciampino railway station which is an easy five minute walk and cheaper than the set fare of 30 euros by airport rank taxi. Hotel will book you a local taxi for 20 euros. Rooms do have some noise transfer which might be an issue if your neighbours are noisy but didn’t spoil our stay.

They were very nice and accommodating. I arrived ciampino quite early. They allowed me check in early as soon as myy room was ready. This made me very happy. Staff were very helpful when i required anything.

We made the reservation, never received any code or any pin number to get into the room unfortunately we got there late and we weren’t able to have the proper information sent to us when we made reservation On top of that they ask us to pay before we get to go in the room which is unacceptable there’s no reason for them to do that before giving us permission to get into the room

Very convenient place to stay if you want to be close to the airport. Some nice cafes and a really good ice cream parlour are only a five minute walk away.

Cuando llegamos El edificio donde se encuentra el hotel nos sorprendió un poco, incluso creíamos que nos habíamos equivocado por el sitio donde nos dejó el taxi y partiendo que Ciampino está un poco apartado de termini, nos asustamos un poco pero luego bien... No recomiendo el desayuno, muy poco variado, puesto que te dan una bolsa con un sándwich de estación, un zumo de tetrabrik unas tostadas muy pequeñas y una Nutella para untar y una bollería se bolsa.... Nada de fruta o algo caliente, el café es una máquina que tú te puedes servir cuantos quieras. Lo que son las habitaciones muy confortables, lo único que un poco ruidosas pensando que el aeropuerto de Ciampino está muy muy cerca.
