Lovely room, although cozy, it had everything needed! Robert’s radio, powerful shower, coffee machine. We received great service from friendly staff, enjoyed lovely food and a great atmosphere. Lovely snug bar with roaring fire and mulled wine available, a great start to Christmas celebrations!

This is a truly old and historic inn. The room was renovated to be quite gorgeous - with a small sitting room adjacent to the bedroom, and a lovely modern bathroom. the only thing of which you should b e aware - there are stairs, and because of the age, they are uneven and require some balance and strength if carrying luggage.

A really lovely hotel, with great service! We booked a deluxe dog friendly room and were pleasantly surprised to see it had a private garden. The snug bar was great and the location was ideal. Have recommended to friends and family.

lovely historic hotel with great staff. It would have been ideal, had we not been there on a hot day in July. We understand that air conditioning is unlikely in an older hotel. But why the curtains in our west-facing room were left open to superheat it, and the fur coverlet and heavy duvet left on remain mysterious. opening the windows and turning on the fans took many hours to make the space tolerable.

We stayed with our dog in one of the superior double rooms with access to the courtyard. The room was spacious and well equipped and the big bed was very comfortable. We loved the snug with the roaring fire where we could have breakfast and dinner with our dog :) The staff were all amazing and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely return!

Lovely character building. We stayed in room 308 which was very large with ample room for our Golden Retriever. Staff were very friendly and dogs are made very welcome. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but it was no hardship eating in the lovely cosy snug bar with its open fire which was on all day. We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch and meals on three nights with no complaints. Lovely circular walk via Batsford Arboretum (welly’s needed due to amount of rain this year) Handy stream by the recreation ground which is near the end of the walk ideal for muddy paws, although there is a hose in the hotel courtyard for hosing off muddy dogs and shoes. 🙂 Would definitely return.

Booked a couple of Superior Double rooms for ourselves and friends for two nights as visiting RIAT air show. Our room was small but well appointed with plenty of storage space, tea and coffee, radio, comfortable bed and pillow and very clean. Good shower of the over bath type. All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, excellent in fact. Parking space is limited but we had no problems during our stay. We ate at the hotel first night but were disappointed with the burgers we ordered, not juicy and rather dry. Excellent breakfast options and top quality. Sadly we missed our first breakfast as an early start for our show. It’s a lovely little period property and I would recommend it. Although quite happy with our room and obviously all the rooms will be different in this type of property we booked two superior doubles. Our room was small, no aircon, window opened onto a busy noisy road. Our friends room was more like a suite, far larger, aircon, walk in shower, garden (yes!) slippers and dressing gowns, facing a pretty courtyard. So, not quite understanding how the superior classification works. Enjoy your travels!

We had a very lovely stay at the White Hart Royal! The inn is a 5-10 minute walk from the Moreton in Marsh train station. It is in the High Street directly across from a pharmacy, a grocery store, a cheese shop. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, providing connection to nearby villages. There is parking along the street out front. The High Street is lined with charity shops, a gift store, an antique store, several coffee and tea shops. Very nearby are a hardware store and a laundry. The staff at the White Hart Royal were incredibly friendly and helpful, welcoming us and seeing to all our needs. The food was amazing! We had breakfast each day and managed to try most everything on the menu. We had dinner there one night and were very pleased with the quality and the service. The town is ideally located for hikers who are seeing the Cotswolds on foot, as well as those who are driving or using public transit to get around. For us, it was a quiet vacation with a little of each.

We were sold this as a premier room £300! with space for our dog. The room was tiny, tired not representative of any of the pictures and quite frankly not fit for purpose. There was no safe parking and were told to park on the street.

What a wonderful, last minute find. The location is great, right on the main street. The staff are exceptional and everyone looked after us to the full. The lady on reception when we checked in was really pleasant and helpful and the two men who attended to us at breakfast were perfect examples of perfect service! We had evening meal in the hotel on the first night and it was exceptional. Although a pie wouldn’t normally be our first choice, we thought we’d try the homemade pie and we are so glad we did as it was really really good. The raspberry sundae desert was 10/10 too! Our bedroom was very spacious and immaculate! The attention to detail and the little touches really do make a difference and are much appreciated. If you’re thinking of staying here, grab it if you can and you won’t be disappointed. It is a hotel steeped in history with a real focus on quality and giving customers the very best stay. Thank you to everyone from cleaning staff to reception and restaurant staff - you all do a fantastic job and we very much enjoyed our visit.

We were very impressed with the Royal White Hart. Our room was lovely, it was a double delux, room 304. We had our own garden. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was also very big and had a separate shower and bath. There was a hairdryer and an iron and ironing board in the room. There were toiletries provided. The hotel breakfast was nice and hot and tasty. There were various little outside seating areas which were very nice as we were there on the two hottest days of the year, so it was nice to sit outside with a drink. Our room also thankfully had air conditioning. The staff were all very pleasant and hard working. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It’s a lovely old hotel with lots of interesting features. We stayed there for our 25th wedding anniversary and despite having told the hotel this, there was, at no point, any reference to this at all. Our room was gorgeous with a huge bed; it was quite noisy being at the front of the hotel meaning that you can’t have any windows open at night - they did provide a fan which helped. The breakfast was very good.

Lovely hotel in the middle of town. Public parking across the street. The rooms are spacious. Bathrooms are modern. The breakfast was delicious and ample to start your day. We booked dinner reservations and it was one of our best meals in England.

It was great for a quick visit. We enjoyed the breakfast. The property details show it has laundry and laundry service; it does not. Also, we had no remote for out TV. We requested one and were told someone would bring it to our room. No one ever showed up. Paying for location, pricy for amenities.

We had a very lovely stay at the White Hart Royal! The inn is a 5-10 minute walk from the Moreton in Marsh train station. It is in the High Street directly across from a pharmacy, a grocery store, a cheese shop. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, providing connection to nearby villages. There is parking along the street out front. The High Street is lined with charity shops, a gift store, an antique store, several coffee and tea shops. Very nearby are a hardware store and a laundry. The staff at the White Hart Royal were incredibly friendly and helpful, welcoming us and seeing to all our needs. The food was amazing! We had breakfast each day and managed to try most everything on the menu. We had dinner there one night and were very pleased with the quality and the service. The town is ideally located for hikers who are seeing the Cotswolds on foot, as well as those who are driving or using public transit to get around. For us, it was a quiet vacation with a little of each.

I very rarely (read never) leave reviews for hotels. This place certainly deserves the time it takes for me to do it. Fantastic service from start to finish. The food in the pub was also something special. Definitely recommend the chefs special pies!

Booked a couple of Superior Double rooms for ourselves and friends for two nights as visiting RIAT air show. Our room was small but well appointed with plenty of storage space, tea and coffee, radio, comfortable bed and pillow and very clean. Good shower of the over bath type. All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, excellent in fact. Parking space is limited but we had no problems during our stay. We ate at the hotel first night but were disappointed with the burgers we ordered, not juicy and rather dry. Excellent breakfast options and top quality. Sadly we missed our first breakfast as an early start for our show. It’s a lovely little period property and I would recommend it. Although quite happy with our room and obviously all the rooms will be different in this type of property we booked two superior doubles. Our room was small, no aircon, window opened onto a busy noisy road. Our friends room was more like a suite, far larger, aircon, walk in shower, garden (yes!) slippers and dressing gowns, facing a pretty courtyard. So, not quite understanding how the superior classification works. Enjoy your travels!

The staff were fantastic and made us feel at home during our stay at this traditional coaching house. Although the hotel is an old building, as you’d expect of a coaching house, the rooms were modern with all the facilities and sundry items you’d expect. Made to order breakfasts were of the highest standard and the bar was very welcoming, with a good food menu prepared by a talented chef. If you’re in Moreton in Marsh, I would recommend The White Hart Royal Hotel.

Really nice historical property in primary location. Stayed in room 115 which may be the best room on the property. Large and historically decorated. King James spent several nights at the property when it was a simple coach house. Nice restaurant on site but recommend reservations at both hotel and restaurant at the same time, as the area is not that large and very popular. Within easy walking distance of the train station, grocery store and many local historical sites. Front desk was very helpful. Great town to use as an introduction the Cotswolds.

This is an historic hotel and with that comes uneven floors and steep stairways with no lifts so it is not at all easy to carry your suitcase up and down. When you walk into the hotel it smells of fish. Also our room, while comfortable, was in need of a new clean coat of paint. The bathroom was newly refurbished with nice tile and the combination shower/tub was perfect. It would have been helpful to have updated USB outlets so we could charge our electronic devices more efficiently.
