My family and I enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly and quick to help! Pools were cleaned daily. Only complaint would be the parking. You have to park pretty far or pay for valet parking. Would recommend and will be back.

Awesome person checking us in. Efficient, Polite and Friendly. When I asked what time the pool bar opened, she said it was closed. I asked to speak to a manager and the front desk mgr came out. I told him that’s the only reason we booked that hotel. First words out of his mouth were”Do you want to stay somewhere else?” No sorry. No nothing. Very rude. Had a huge fly infestation, like 75-100 when it finally opened 3 days later due to lack of cleaning the bar(sweet attracts flies). Sprayed some chemical all over so the. Dead flies everywhere. In the ice bin…etc. they just cleaned them out. Didn’t change the ice.

Breakfast included means just one item from the menu is included, menu is the same every day, its not a buffet. Easy access to the beach. Hotel is very clean. Water in heated Pool and hot tub was luke warm. Poolside bar & snack center was closed during our entire stay. Parking is not attached to the hotel, valet parking is available.

The room was nice. We got a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. The pool, hot tub and facilities were nice. They need to put a non-slip patch at the entrance to the hot tub. I saw a few people slip. There's a gate that opens up to the public beach. Valet parking was $15 but we opted to park at the free parking at the end of the street, a short walk. When I go back, I'll definitely stay here again. We walked to Pollo Lucas and had their half chicken, it was delicious. We also walked to Thrifty Ice Cream, right around the corner. I heard max's, right across the street has really good food but we never made it over there . I felt safe and loved how friendly everyone was but we only ventured out during the day. We stayed in at night except one evening we ate dinner overlooking Puerto Penasco at El Capitan. It was absolutely gorgeous, the food was okay. We played a little at the casino next door. One of the locals, Ernie talked us into doing a timeshare tour and we had a blast. There's lots of people around there doing the timeshare thing, if you can find Ernie, I'd recommend signing up to do a vadante tour with him. We had fun.

Fantastic last minute family trip!!! Location, Location, Location… you have the beautiful beach and the pool, great service, beautiful view from our room (308), clean, good breakfast (included). Tips - bring your own beach towels (you can’t take hotel’s) and bring and or pay with pesos not dollars (cheaper)

Right on a beautiful and safe beach area. The pool and swim up bar were very nice and clean. The hotel lobby was also very immaculate. Our room wasn't quite as nice as the pictures looked though. We had a balcony room, where the balcony was tiny with no furniture, furthermore the rooms upstairs AC was directly above the balcony so it was dripping onto us. Our biggest issue though, was the mundane policy that they wouldn't allow any outside food/beer or coolers into the hotel, even after their bars were closed. Overall, the price is a bit high for the hotel for what it is, but because of the outside food/beverage policy, I wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights. The room was clean but we had to kill 3 roaches in our room and when I told the front desk she just gave a little laugh and apologized. It was nice that we had a kitchenette which had some dishes but there were NO utensils of any kind a dish towel or paper towels or dish soap to wash the dishes.

Room was dusty. The floor was not cleaned in certain areas. Wrapper under bathroom sink. TV worked only part of the time. Safe did not work at first. Finally got it to take a code. We have used this type of safe many times.

We’ve been visiting this place for the past three years, and we absolutely adore it. It’s spotlessly clean, and the staff is always there to assist and ensure a comfortable stay. The pool area is always clean, and the food is delicious.

Grounds and location were fabulous. Lobby and restaurant was great. Rooms were old and not especially clean. Cabinets in kitchen were filthy and not even a spoon or a napkin to be found. Could not sit on the couch as it was very broken down. Only gave you one hand towel and one wash cloth. BUT…bed was comfortable and view was out of this world. Staff were amazing and food in cafe was great. Free breakfast was so so. Dont pay for a balcony room… the view is great but the balcony was only 1 foot deep!

Instead of providing an equivalent replacement for my original two-bedroom booking, I was only offered a single bed room, which did not match what I paid for. Additionally, I had booked for two guests, but the resort only covered one person, forcing me to pay an extra $120 out of pocket for my friend. I love this hotel, however the rooms could be more cleaned. The ceiling fan had a lot of dust, I complained the cleaned it superficially but there was still dust on the top. I don’t think the remotes are disinfected. For the price I believe the rooms should be renovated especially the bathrooms they are in need of a remodel. Staff is super friendly, Pool is always clean, restaurant on site is great. Location is great too. Loved the fact that they have cribs available based on availability.

I honestly expected the room to look a little better for the price, especially since I paid for an upgrade when I got there. That upgrade did get me a room with a patio leading straight to the beach. Security was good enough that I felt safe leaving the patio unlocked, so I could walk from the beach straight to my room without going around the entire hotel through the front lobby. Everything was clean, AC worked wonderfully and I'd definitely book here again.

Pros: • The hotel smelled clean the moment we walked into the room, which was a great first impression. • beautiful pool and beach area, we enjoyed spending time at the pool. • The staff overall was very friendly and helpful. Most of the team made us feel welcomethough one representative, Christina, came across a bit less welcoming during our interactions. • The place is dog-friendly, which is a major plus, and likely one of the better options around if you’re traveling with pets. Cons & Considerations: • We booked for 4 people and paid extra for the additional guests upon arrival ($30 each), but only found 3 towels in the room. • There is a $15 charge for on-site parking, even though there is free parking available—but it’s down the block in an unprotected lot in a popular hidden place in Mexico, didn’t feel very safe. • Although dog-friendly, there is no designated area for dogs to relieve themselves. The only option was walking them down to the general parking area, which didn’t feel secure or practical. • We were charged $40 per dog, so be prepared for those extra pet fees. • The hotel is clean but not recently updated. That worked for us with dogs • There is a TV in the room, but the internet didn’t work at all during our stay, and there was no phone service either. • It was also noisy for a good portion of the night, we could hear running back and forth from the room above us.

Biggest negative for us was the loud music at the pool all day and the pool game girl who yelled 2 hours straight until almost 7pm. Also the public beach right next to hotel had a very loud band all weekend nonstop. Very noisy especially with the already loud pool music. Not relaxing. Very annoying. Most likely will not book here again

This is a nice property and they try hard but it’s impossible to sleep here because of the sound systems both by the pool and at the cantina across the street blast at high volume until early morning hours. The beach is VERY basic - some sand and some water but nothing special. The drive from the border is not well marked so find a good map or you will get lost! I did enjoy the food at the in-house restaurant but the menu is very limited.

Hotel was clean yet older so water stains and wear and tear do show. Shower was great pressure but tiny space so beware if you are larger bodied. The couch was more of a front for a pullout bed than a relaxing place to sit. The room doesn't get super cooled down due to the heat of the middle of the day but you can escape to the nice chilled lobby. Mainly we had a nice stay but have to comment on the security staff at this establishment. We felt they were intrusive, aggressive and inconsistent. We were approached for having Rockstar energy drinks meanwhile other customers drank Red Bull? We were approached for vaping under the palapa meanwhile another couple vaped openly while in the hot tub conversing with staff. We were approached about drinking due to the election dry law without explanation for why we could walk right outside the hotel and purchase a Pina Colada with rum in it? We can totally respect the rules, it was just confusing and we felt singled out as other patrons seemed allowed to do as they pleased.

The couch was more of a front for a pullout bed than a relaxing place to sit. The room doesn't get super cooled down due to the heat of the middle of the day but you can escape to the nice chilled lobby. Mainly we had a nice stay but have to comment on the security staff at this establishment. We felt they were intrusive, aggressive and inconsistent. We were approached for having Rockstar energy drinks meanwhile other customers drank Red Bull? We were approached for vaping under the palapa meanwhile another couple vaped openly while in the hot tub conversing with staff. We were approached about drinking due to the election dry law without explanation for why we could walk right outside the hotel and purchase a Pina Colada with rum in it? We can totally respect the rules, it was just confusing and we felt singled out as other patrons seemed allowed to do as they pleased.

Everything about this hotel is very nice. My only drawbacks are the thin walls. I could hear the kids playing next door and the maids chattering and laughing as the cleaned up. Also, the restaurant didn't have many breakfast choices for the complimentary breakfast. Thom at the pool bar is a great bartender and a super nice person. I was impressed by the management and security who were very helpful to the poor 20-somethings that were too drunk to be in the hot tub

We really enjoyed our stay. We arrived right after spring break and it was quiet and nice. Mario (front desk) and Giovani (parking) were amazing hosts. Our waiters at the restruant Francisco and Ramon were very attentive and brought us amazing food. All staff and ammenitiies were superb. We had an amazind 2 day getaway.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The valet was such a nice guy and super funny, too. He gave us all kinds of information about events happening at the resort and where we could self park if we wanted to avoid the valet charge. The rest of the staff was wonderful, I cannot say enough good things about them. The security was kind and made us feel safe. I didn’t realize that “no smoking” also meant no vaping (oops) and when they let me know (outside by the pool), they were very kind about it. The property is beautiful, fun, relaxing, and has easy access to the huge, off property, beach. We cannot wait to go back and spend more time there. 10/10!

I've stayed at this location a few times, but this birthday trip will be my FINAL time visiting. It started at check in where it took over 30 minutes and I was the only one in line. The longest check in EVER! I was not explained anything about the hotel upon arrival. When I got to the 5th floor, my room keys did not work. I made 3 trips back and forth to the front desk to get them re-programmed where the ladies there did not know what they were doing. I also had to go back to get my breakfast vouchers for my stay because they were not given to me at check in. After 4 attempts of trying to get in my room, Engineering comes and tells me that my keys were NEVER programmed. When I asked them to let me in the room, they refused and told me that I needed to go back to the front desk AGAIN. At this point, I wanted to check out. I asked for a manager and there was none. Room 505 door lock never worked and without using the deadbolt on the door, the door would NOT lock and stay secure when closed. The amount of times I came back to the front desk to reprogram my keys is completely unacceptable. The property rooms are run down and outdated, with broken appliances, scratched up furniture in the room but charge over $300/night...INSANE! The total amount paid from Wednesday to Saturday was NOT worth the price in staff and service received. REFUND me PLEASE. Ramon at the Lobby/Pool Bar was AMAZING! The one and only friendliest employee at the whole resort

We we arrived at the hotel they gave use a 2 bed for me and my wife and when we asked for a one bed king they wanted to upgraded us for an additional $350 dollars. They would want charge to use the hotel had. We sat on the Cabañas in front of the ocean and a staff member said we had to pay $1800 pesos to use them. The hotel restaurant did not had good food and when we trying bringing in some outside food they stoped us. I understand alcohol but food. When We order drinks by the pool they were water down that I had to send mine back. I understand that you have to charge to make money but over charging in this hotel is out of hand.

This property is very clean, and the Staff for the most part are very kind. We stayed at this resort from Monday to Friday. They did not have any bartenders available for the swim up pool and food outside. You had to always wait 40 mins to two hours for someone to come out of the kitchen so you could do some sort of poolside order.. they give you free breakfast vouchers and I must admit that was very annoying process. When ordering breakfast. I ordered a fruit salad and my husband ordered the Chilaquiles. My kids had pancakes. It took them about 45 minutes. To an hour to bring us out our food. Everyone around us had their food. Even people that arrived. After we ordered. Got their food, First. We weren’t rude. We speak Spanish. We’re not loud or obnoxious, but I can honestly say that was very annoying. And frustrating to notice that everyone would get their food First. I also felt like we tipped very well.. the drinks from the bar had no liquor in them. I had about two piña coladas and never felt a thing. I’m not a drinker, so I usually feel things right away.. the beach activities are reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back to puerto Peñasco. Probably try a different hotel next time.. also, sidenote, if you order their carne asada fries which taste really good. Make sure you let them know to lay off of the nacho cheese. They drenched the fries in nacho cheese.. and I mean, literally drench.

Very friendly staff. Front desk was super-efficient. Our room was clean and pleasant but was starting to show a bit of age. Location was great. Pools were awesome. The breakfast was not a buffet, but was pick one of 5 choices. All in all, we'd stay here again.
