Great location next to park, incredible view from balcony, hot tub was a little cooler than I like and it didn’t seem to be that clean. It was disappointing that the exterior Christmas lights got left on all night, we thought it would darker outside than it was.

This place had so many rooming options. Teepee and stagecoach both had firepits your own 2 bedroom ste. They have horse back riding and Llama's. Beautiful views. Outdoor pool and hot tub.

Loved this hotel - we booked a 2 bedroom cabin for 4 people and it was perfect. Loved our little cabin. Hot tub was open (pool was closed for end of the season). Staff were all super lovely. The restaurant was under new management and so were not serving alcohol which was disappointing as we weren’t told in advice. We went across the road for dinner which was nice though.

Many options available for accommodations (teepees, covered wagon, cabins & standard lodging. Very close to National Park and view from room was breathtaking. Had horseback riding and hiking with llamas available. Very nice pool and gym. We would stay here again for a much longer stay.

Unfortunately, our room had urine in the toilet and hair on it, as well as crumbs on the couch. We asked for it to be cleaned, and 1.5 hours later it still wasn’t, so we asked to move rooms. The new room was cleaner but didn’t have any soap, so we had to use body wash to wash our hands. The pool was nice but the bar to get out was half missing and it was missing tiles and the hot tub was dirty. The pool towels were gone, so we had to go to the office yet again to ask for them. We were not very impressed.

Great balconyview of Utah rocks. The pool was well kept and I like the small gym that was accessible 24/7. I didn’t have hand soap in my room and the gym did not have disinfectant for equipment, just towels.

Our view was incredible. Close to the park. Loved that the property had a pool, workout facility and restaurant. A good amount of choices at restaurant and very good service. Room was very clean and inviting. Would stay here again.

Found utensils under chair on floor by table and chairs which made me realize the cleanliness was an issue. Had trouble opening the door and calling the staff was not helpful. It was raining which made it ann issue and we got pretty wet not being able to enter. My son lost a brand new shirt which he believed he left on the bed. Calling the resort I was sure it would be found by cleaning company which it was not. Our fault but Just discouraged by this. The resort restaurant and one across street were expensive and food mediocre. The resort was nice but seemed much grander in the pictures.

We had a cabin facing the Capitol Reef Red Rocks. It was absolutely beautiful. The cleaning staff was excellent. This is the view from our porch.

First, the pictures are very deceiving. You think you're getting a beautiful "resort", when in actuality, you're getting a two star motel at best. It had the tiniest bathroom I've ever seen, broken lamps, very outdated furniture, and it was so dark, even with all the lights on. The only thing good was the view, unless you stay on the road side, then you have nothing. Then there was the naked man getting into the hot tub! No thanks, never again.

The room was very dated. The property itself needed some TLC. A bit worn and rundown. The hairdryer had apparently gotten hot with a previous user and was melted but still left in the room. Air conditioner fan didn’t work so room was stuffy.

We had an amazing room with a breathtaking view from the balcony. Definitely worth paying a bit extra for this. The room facilities were great, but the dining room does not match this. It has no character or anything to draw you in. Across the road is a much better dining option.

The location was amazing you are right next to Capitol Reef National Park. We stayed in the Standard room which was very nicely decorated and clean. The hotel is a renovated motel so the bathroom is small and it has the layout of an old motel room, but the decor is very nice and the beds are very comfortable. The on-site restaurant has delicious food. The pool is cold but refreshing in the heat and the hot tub will warm you up. The pool in the online photo is not what you are going to get. It is a bit old and needs a little work. The chaise lounges and umbrellas are still in good shape. The resort has built some cabins that distract from the view but made the worst choice in building a gym which blocks a huge part of the view. They do have room on the property it would be nice to have another pool built so they could have a family friendly pool and an adult pool. The first day there were so many children in the pool splashing about you could barely fit in it. Great stay overall and will return.

DO NOT let the picture fool you. This is a very deceiving picture, and not reflective of the property. IF you do decide to stay here in the main hotel insist on the top floor even though you will have to climb stairs because there is no elevator. If you stay on the first floor you will hear every thing from foot steps to the toilet flush and even the person above your bed taking a shower. Very poor construction methods for a hotel. If you stay down stairs there is 22 steps down at a steep angle to carry your self and your belongings. Pool and Hot tub are out side, so you can only use them in the hot months.

Terrible check in experience. Although staff is nice it seemed inadequate to the task. No call or text to let you know room is ready when you arrive before 4:00. Didn’t get into room until ‘guaranteed” check in time.

The service was excellent. We went during Thanksgiving, so did not expect prompt service. But they fixed our broken deadbolt right away, provided a pack and play for our baby and was always nice to us whenever we asked for anything. Will highly recommend to others.

These people were incredible, I forgot my insulin in their refrigerator and they mail it back and it arrived safe and sound. The food was good the room was fine . I enjoyed my stay. Thank you again guys.

Woman who checked us in spoke barely above a whisper and seemed bothered by just doing her job. She gave us our room number and gave us a map of where our room was. Sent us completely on the opposite side of where our room was so we were walking around looking for a room that didn’t exist where she sent us. Also the other receptionist who was checking in someone else said the room numbers out loud which I thought was a big no no these days.

If you want to stay close to the park, this is the spot! The hotel is situated with excellent view of the park and in Dary Sky territory making it feel magical all around. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with all amenities needed including onsite laundry facilities which was a bonus for us!

The resort was a well taken care of property in a very scenic location. The room and all other amenities were good, it has an onsite restaurant with other convenient businesses right up the road. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful as were the support staff who helped with a jump start of my vehicle. The resort is also just minutes from Capitol Reef National Park which was the reason for our visit to the area.

The good. It was very quiet and we had a room. There were teepees and covered wagons on the resort which i think other people reserved for the night. They had fire pits throughout on the property which was a nice touch. We went to see the llamas on the property which you can book a hike with them. We just needed a quick night passing through and really wasnt much around. Just the restaurant on property and a pizza place across the street. The bad is there really isnt much around.

This resort has the most amazing views!!! I was only supposed to stay here one night, as I was on my way elsewhere, but after checking into my room & seeing the mountains from my balcony, I immediately booked another night. My room was beautifully furnished, the bed & the recliner were comfy. The Pioneer Kitchen restaurant serves delicious food. The front desk staff were extremely pleasant & explained everything in detail. The only issue I had was with the cleaning staff, who knocked on my door twice despite me having a sign on the door, as well as me declining service after their first knock. I had my key updated with the front desk around 7:30-8 a.m., so the housekeeping staff should've been informed (they knocked around 11:30 a.m.). I would still highly recommend this property if you like hiking (here, you can hike with a llama!) or horseback riding (also offered here) or if you are interested in seeing the Capitol Reef National Park, which is only a few minutes drive from here.

Capitol Reef Resort is conveniently located right outside of Capitol Reef National Park which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and the view was very nice. There was an alarm clock in the room that was set to 5:45am so we were woken up bright and early... I don't see alarm clocks in hotels very often anymore so we didn't think to check that it was set. Staff should really double check that when they get the rooms ready. Breakfast was absolutely awful and on top of that you have to pay extra for it. My omelet was way overcooked, the spinach was extremely soggy and the potatoes tasted like nothing. The grounds are well maintained and it was enjoyable taking a walk around the property. There are quite a few activities available if you are staying longer. Considering how much we paid I cannot give this more than 2 stars.
