Was a nice hotel however I was disappointed to find out that the women’s onsen only has a hot bath where is the men’s has a sauna, hot bath and cold plunge pool. Otherwise was a nice hotel, but would appreciate if the amenities were equal between genders.

Staff were excellent. Location and amenities are great. Loved the public bath on the top floor. Please heed that this is a busy area and can be very noisy at night.

Location was good. Walking distance to Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, Family Smart, department store, Parco, Don Quijote Dotonbori, and Metro. The hotel breakfast that we purchased had a good variety of hot and cold foods. I stayed for 9 days with teen kids in a the family room. No complaint except for the noise of the AC. The public bath facilities on the 13 floor was useful for shower and soaking. Toiletries are Pola brand offering shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash. Overall everything was good. The hotel offers microwave, coffee, tea, hot water, and bread at the lobby from 2:30 pm to 10 pm. High recommend that you buy breakfasts with your room if you are travelling with kids.

The area can get quite busy due to its proximity to the shops. Room was clean. Amenities were replaced daily. However, the drying cycle of the laundry facilities takes a long, long time to dry. Staff were helpful despite being busy.

They have a nice reasonable breakfast buffet if you opt to pay for it each day with your room. Even if you don't pay for the breakfast buffet, they have complimentary water, tea and coffee at their lounge which was nice. The hotel provides an onsen on the 13th floor for woman and one for men. The hotel was very modern and clean.

1. The room and toilet are so dirty; so many hair on the floor even after they clean our room daily. 2. Cold toilet seat even in winter 3. Check out time is way too early (10:00 am) 4. The water from the handshower splashed everywhere every time we took a shower and the whole toilet would be so wet 5. Very weird room design. The bed was placed in the middle of the room and it didn’t make good use of the space of the room, leaving us very little space for our luggage

Concierge and customer service was great. However, the room smelled like urine and bodily fluids the entire time. The hot water didn't work in my bathroom sink but the staff took care of it. No water (either bottle or filtered) offered so you must pay for it at vending machine or go to store. In the lobby, bread and tea/water is offered but only during certain hours. Housecleaning only 1 time per every 3 days. You get what you pay for-- which is the terrific location

とても新しく綺麗で整頓されています。立地もよく、フロントも元気で気持ちいいです。 ただ、加湿器の給水に迷い、給水タンクがほこりまみれだったことが気になりました。これでは空気清浄してるのか空気を濁しているのかわからない状態。幸い、保温性が高いようでそこまで暖房つけず加湿器もお世話にならずに済みましたが、ご時世的に加湿空気清浄機は隅々まできれいにしておいていただきたい。

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Hillarys Shinsaibashi and were very happy with our stay. We booked a Standard Double Room, Non Smoking (housekeeping every 3 days). The room was small (as expected in Japan) but clean, comfortable, and affordable, with all the amenities we needed. The only odd detail was that the sink was in the bedroom rather than the bathroom, but it wasn’t a big issue. The staff were attentive and kind. Our floor (8th) had coin laundry machines and a vending machine, which was very convenient. I also enjoyed the public hot spa on the 13th floor — perfect after a day of exploring. One small suggestion would be to add a reminder sign about bathing etiquette, as some guests may be unfamiliar. Check-out at 10:00 was smooth, and we appreciated the free luggage storage until the end of the day, which let us enjoy breakfast nearby before catching the shinkansen to Tokyo. The location is excellent — just minutes from Shinsaibashi Street and close to a Family Mart. Overall: clean, convenient, affordable, and friendly service. I like the location, the staff were very helpful, free breakfast, right in Shinshibashi shopping area, near Dotonbori, Namba, walkable to the meeting place of day tours, walkable to Kuromon Market, so many places to eat. The downside was the layout of the room, to tight to open a big luggage and the pillows.

10 mins walk to Dotonburi. Family Mart was next to hotel. Room was pretty decent, 2 queen size bed, dont expect to be big. Pillow was very soft though. Need to fold half to get some support. Overall, it was good.

주변이 쇼핑거리라 쇼핑에 용이하나 밤에도 새벽에도 시끄럽네요. 캐리어 두개 펴고 한사람 지나갈 폭.. 3박했는데 한번 청소해주고 그 뒤로 수건도 안주심.. 조식은 가성비 괜찮구요. 에어컨이 3박중 하루만 켜져서 난방을 하루밖에 못했어요ㅜㅜ 한국어 하시는 직원분 계시는데 거의 안계세요..

The room was clean albeit small, bathroom small, sink is in the bedroom due to this!! Pillows were very thin, which was a shame as rest of stay was good. Rooms clean and hotel itself clean. 5 mins from main shopping road, 10 mins to dotonbori, 5 mins from a tube station opening. Would I stay again ? Yes !!

Room and bathroom are very small, but still really nice. Some furniture was a little old/damaged, but overall it’s a fantastic environment and a very comfortable hotel with amazing staff! We stayed in a room with a queen bed, and absolutely loved it after a day full of walking around the city. Great location and the amenities in the room were very nice! Cleanliness was great as well. The only thing we didn’t love was in our room, the shower head would not stay in the mount on the shower wall properly, so showering was a bit awkward with having to hold the wand by hand. We also found the pillows to be a bit small and unsupportive, so you may want to bring your own.

Our family enjoyed staying at The Hillarys Shinsaibashi. Staff services were excellent at the Front Desk, Housekeeping and in the breakfast room. Everyone was so nice and helpful! The housekeeping ladies were thorough with cleaning and checking if we needed anything. The front desk staff helped with shipping our luggage to the next hotel and were friendly. The hotel was close to the station and shops. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Staff were helpful when the room air con started leaking and moved me to another room. Complimentary baked goods in the lobby. Good spa, sauna and cold bath facilities. In house laundry was also good value.

Firstly, I would like to commend your establishment on its excellent cleanliness, convenient location, and overall comfort. I am a frequent traveler to Japan and have had several enjoyable stays across various hotels in the country, including through the same booking platform I used for my reservation at hotel.com Each time, I have been deeply impressed by the courteous and professional service typical of Japanese hospitality. The hotel breakfast that we purchased had a good variety of hot and cold foods. I stayed for 9 days with teen kids in a the family room. No complaint except for the noise of the AC. The public bath facilities on the 13 floor was useful for shower and soaking. Toiletries are Pola brand offering shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash. Overall everything was good. The hotel offers microwave, coffee, tea, hot water, and bread at the lobby from 2:30 pm to 10 pm. High recommend that you buy breakfasts with your room if you are travelling with kids.

Overall a decent stay for the price. Waking distance to Dontonbori and subway stations. It is definitely more in a party area so it was quite noisy so may not be the best option if you’re a light sleeper. Clean except for stains on the carpet and the room was a bit of an awkward layout which made it hard for travelling with a lot of luggage. As well, their laundry machines had no wash only options (many of my clothes can’t go in the dryer) so I had to go to a laundromat outside of the hotel, which was annoying since I chose this hotel partially because it has onsite laundry.

The area is a bit red light district, we traveled as a family and were in bed by 11 p.m. in the morning the trash was being picked off the street and the smells that lingered in the air were unpleasant. But, this is Osaka and is different from the rest of Japan.

Located in the heart of Dotonbori in Osaka the location is as good as it gets as you are close to 100's of restaurants and shops. 5 min walk to the train station. Very clean and had a nice mix of both Japanese style and western style living. I give this place 5 stars and for the price its an unbelievable bargain!!

The hotel is nestled in a quiet alley. There’s an Australian themed pub across the street and what appeared to be a nightclub as well but neither posed any kind of threat or nuisance. It’s about a ten-fifteen minute walk to dontonbori and to some more shops to its north. Great spot. Great amenities and comfy bed. I didn’t like the plugs were next to the headboard rather than say on the desk but nonetheless we made it work and it was a great stay.

Breakfast buffet had lots of choices from cereal, breads, rolls, pancakes, cream puffs to traditional Japanese foods. Some variations from day to day. Was very filling. There was a coffee machine which dispensed all types of coffee/latte/capuccino, tea and also broth and corn soup! Ice machines available. 2 floors only with laundry and vending machine. The onset was a nice perk with popsicles in the evening and a yogurt drink in the mornings. We were able to store our luggage before and after. Staff were friendly. You can ask for harder pillows and borrow an iron. Bed was comfortable. Pyjama gown provided. Palo toiletries provided (soap, toner and lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash). Bathroom was small but the sink was in a separate area. Cleaning done every twice during our 8 day stay. We could request when it was done. Daily towel and pyjama replacement. Area was convenient and close to the subway and stores. Very walkable. 7-11 across the street. We enjoyed our visit and the room was larger than we expected.

Very conveniently located hotel for Dotonbori. Rooms are small but comfortable. Breakfast isn’t included but you can pay 1000Y pp for this, however it was not very good so not recommended. Room was cleaned once during our four night stay but towels and bins changed every day.

Its so hard to talk to the reception because they cannot communicate good in english. The aircon has a sound of dripping water the whole stay. They change the bedsheet but they didn't do any vacuum. You cannot sleep well because the pillow so thin and small.
