Enjoyed our stay very much. Whilst valet car parking was efficient and staff very friendly would have preferred self parking option for mor convenience. However, this is a more a suggestion and overall our stay was very enjoyable.

Great property, staff and location. Concierge (Alice) was excellent, Mary Mary bar staff (Ali and Rowan) were super, especially with helping prepare for wine shopping. Dinner at Peppina was also excellent. Room was spacious and super comfortable. A memorable stay.

The Tasman is an impressive hotel, lovely decor, friendly and attentive staff, a great location and excellent food. The only downside were limited and costly parking and the aircon in our room was a bit noisy. Overall though neither would be enough to stop me from returning to the Tasman.

My only concern was that one of the electronic window opening/light settings in my room did not work and although I reported it the day I checked in, it still had not been repaired when I left. Also the lamb for dinner at Peppina (the main dining room restaurant) was so rare it was closer to raw – I had asked for medium

What a fabulous hotel, from pulling up out the front and valet immediately meeting us to a quick and easy check-in. Upon opening the doors to our room the blinds open up to a beautiful view over the dock, highly recommend getting a view room. Breakfast is wonderful inside a stunning old room and buffet style with eggs cooked to order. The location is bang on point and we just can't fault anything about this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at The Tasman in a Heritage View King Guest Room. We loved our stay, from the welcoming blinds & curtains that open when you enter the room to see the gorgeous view, great central location, valet parking, delicious dinner at Pepino & drinks at Mary Mary Bar...the breakfast was fab too, sustained us both for the day. The building is beautiful & was interesting to wander through with helpful staff in all our interactions. All in all 5 stars!

The building is composed of three buildings. The architectural elements are beautiful. The location is very good. We received an upgrade and we’re very thankful. The restaurant food is a mix of good and bad. We had breakfast 2 mornings. First morning no one took our egg order. The second morning coffee was cold. We also ate dinner one night. The olives and salumi was very good. The pasta with mussels and shrimp was very salty. We were given 2 free cards for drinks at Mary Mary’s. There is no alcohol free choice for the cards. Deco was awesome. The Plaza drink was a winner and the mocktail was great. We had a lovely cheese platter. The staff was attentive and friendly. One thing I would highly recommend is to ask staff to give you a ‘tour’ of your room. The lighting was confusing. And if you are over 65, the bathroom floors are a little slippery. The bathroom is beautiful however.

What a fantastic hotel, with exceptional and friendly service. From check in to valet parking, all staff were exceptional. The room was spacious, modern and, clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the location was suberb, next to Salamanca markets, and some de net restaurants, as well as being centrally located, 30 mins to Bruny Island. Will definitely stay again next time!

Staff were incredible, made sure that we were well taken care of the entire time. April helped us to plan our visit to Port Arthur and advised us to stop through Eaglehawk Neck/Pirates Bay based on their own visit there which was super nice and turned out great.

Amazing property. Person who checked us in was uninformed. Gave recommendations for things that were closed or didn't fit the tome of day. Also in a hotel thst was not that busy gave us a room right next to the elevator where you could hear the elevator mechanism. This is an amazing hotel in terms of building, decor and location. But they need to do better with the client service. Shame as all other interactions with staff where great.

Good but not great. Slow check in, no upgrade and no gold level perks. Also, it is time to bring back doona/duvet covers, as sheets covering doonas/duvets are impractical, uncomfortable and disgusting! .

Most of the team were good however room service was terrible. We ordered a very basic meal over two nights and both times it was wrong so we had to wait 3hrs for our food to be corrected. The second time it came it also was wrong within the same night. Then they tried to charge us for Prosecco we never even ordered but came up with our meal.

I don't know if you could find a better location in Hobart than the Tasman. Very central, close to restaurants and right along the waterfront. And the room that we stayed in was absolutely top notch. Staff was very helpful and accommodating, housekeeping was excellent. Not much in the way of amenities and we chose to eat elsewhere most of the time, finding that the menus were a bit overpriced but we had great coffee from the restaurant every morning so we were happy campers!

It’s a nice property. Everything is very good. We never ate there. We liked walking to local restaurants. The hotel across the street was great as was the Harbor Lights Cafe for breakfast and coffee. It’s very convenient for tours and the market on saturdays

Beautiful property and location. Short < 5 minute walk to the harbor, Market and dozens of bars/restaurants. I t is on a short, but steep hill so be prepared. Check-in was personalized and we were offered sparkling water, which was nice- but did not get any information about the hotel ( when /where is breakfast, fitness room, room service availability, etc). Many tours begin at 7-720 am, but breakfast in the hotel begins at 7 am so we had to skip breakfast on 2 days. The weekend buffet was decent but not a lot of options compared to other buffets at the same price point. However, the quality of the food was very good. The room was spacious and clean. Beautiful decor. Lots of plugs and mirrors available. Electronic blinds, etc. No tub in our room, thus the bathroom was spacious. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay from start to finish was incredible. Every single staff member we dealt with or even just walked past was so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was immaculate, so clean, stylish and inviting. The dining options were amazing, our view of the harbour was beautiful and we were in such a good location. Cannot wait to stay again!
