Friendly staff, clean facilities right smack in the middle of makati which can be busy but its all walkable all over.the mall is literally by the corner. One gripe is that the elevators were sooo slow and small. But otherwise a very pleasant stay.

The swimming pool is small, and the restaurant being open to outsiders makes the area very busy and not enjoyable. I give a star for the housekeeping team and the front door staff. Minus stars for the front desk lady who acted as if I had stolen the weighing scale! I didn’t want to bother anyone to pick it up, so I went downstairs to return it myself. At checkout, she kept asking if I was sure I had returned it.. It’s not my fault that their communication sucks, and it’s offensive to talk to me as if I’m a thief!

Room was still being cleaned when we arrived so we had to wait, found a bug in my milk during breakfast, and I’ve never had to wait so long for an elevator. But the staff are very friendly and eager to help, and overall the hotel is very nice.

Hotel is marvelous but stuck in a seedy , dirty part of town. I did see bugs around rooms and dining but really just goes from 5 stars to 3 in a few areas. Spray more plz and maybe fumigate like the whole hotel once , but not terrible just 'o.e'. staff, property, rates, breakfast, 5 star

Pros: Spacious room, accommodating staff, Very good buffet options Strong bidet Able to bring in outside food is always a plus. Cons: Weird smell at the lobby especially during rainy season. Traffic roads right outside the hotel. Definitely would stay again in the future especially because of its affordability.

I have stayed at the City Garden Grand several times now and it is my first choice when staying in Makati. The rooms are always immaculate and the staff are always welcoming and happy to help. The hotel has great amenities and the roof top bar and restaurant are excellent.

We had a great stay here, huge bed! But rooms aren’t really sound proof. We did really enjoy the breakfast buffet and all the options they offered. Really close to a lot of the bars/clubs if you like going out but also clean and has a really nice rooftop bar with great cocktails!

Staff are very helpful and courteous. Hotel is nearby upscale shopping mall with fantastic restaurants options. The front desk staff were very helpful accommodating special requests and went beyond to help me. The lobby staff were very kind to letting me know when my transportation arrived avoiding me to wait outside of the hotel for the arrival of the ride share pickup. Awesome staff all around. Mr Darius particularly was an outstanding service representative that really went above and beyond.

I have enjoyed staying at this property for several years now. I have always given this property high marks in service, convenience, location, and staff/personnel. The only issues I encountered during this stay are the shower (water temp) and wake up call. The water kept going from warm to cold to hot and back to warm. I addressed this with the hotel management and hopefully they will be able to resolve the problem before I return in November of 2025. The other problem is the front desk staff failure to put into their system a wake up call. This only happened twice, the last one being the day I was checking out. I went to the front desk the night before checking out and ask for a wake up call and it never occurred. Lucky, I have set my own alarm clock as back up, however, I shouldn't really have to. It would have been a mess if I have missed my flight. Maybe this is a staff issue or training issue but hopefully, they will get it together. Other than that, I really like this hotel and is looking forward to staying here again in 2025.

I was treated like a celebrity! Elijah was newly promoted from bell desk to clerk and I was his first-ever check-in. He remembered me from previous stays and offered me a wonderful upgrade room. Erika was my 22nd floor housekeeper extraordinaire: she made sure I was stocked with extra towels, toiletries, and water AND made a masterful towel animal design which she left on my bed every day. I ended up with a wonderful menagerie of swans, elephant, scorpion, monkey, hearts-all done with towels. Aina the team lead also remembered me and was a delight. Liam the bellman, Patrick and Trish at the front desk were great also. Also Darius and Dee. Jun, the Spice restaurant manager made sure they were stocked with Coca Cola for me. Hotel security and all the staff greeted me by name! And didn't need prompting by looking up my name on the computer. The BEST personalized customer service. Heads and shoulders above branded international hotels for service. I highly recommend the GRAND!

The City Garden Grand Hotel met and exceeded our expectations. The service provided was excellent. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The quality and range of options for breakfast items must be commended. We really liked the amenities: hot tub, swimming pool, comfortable cotton bathrobes, goose-feather pillows, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs (channels unfortunately intermittent sometimes), mini fridge and microwave and even high-end soap and other bath items dispensers.

Hotel was very clean and we had a pleasant stay as it’s near lots of dining options. We however had a frustrating experience at checkin. We arrive right on 2pm, check in time and got the key to one room after about 10 minutes of the front desk typing away on the computer. After about another 10 minutes we were told to have a seat. After about another 10 minutes we asked if there was a problem and were told they were still waiting for the room to be cleaned. Meanwhile everyone else was checking in and going off to their room. After 40-45 minutes wait all up, we got the key to our 2nd room.surely there was a room ready somewhere in the big hotel. After a day of travelling with the kids, this was not a great first experience of this hotel. They offered us late checkout, however we were leaving early for a flight so was no benefit to us. Hopefully others have a quicker check in. Apart from this it was a great hotel and if we are ever to spend another night in Manila, we would stay here again.

This is a good value hotel. There's a small shopping mall nearby, so you can get just about anything you need. Using the Grab app makes transportation easy, but it took me two hours to get from the airport to the hotel. My wallet was stolen at a nearby convenience store.

Clean, wonderful powerful shower. Friendly staff, room service catering options. Went to the restuarant, but 2 hour waiting list, so we had to eat elsewhere. Would suggest priority reserve for staying guests. Perhaps 7 to 10pm for paying residents only.

Breakfast buffet ran out of food (half of the main choices) and there is stil 1.5 hours of service. had to wait for 20 minutes before a table became available. Strong smell of hypochlorite solution in bathroom/ elevator hallway. you had to wait long to get into the small elevator.
