Comfort Inn Indianapolis South I-65

The place was a dump, smelled like adhesive, refused a refund, advertised pool and it was out of service,. I was refused refund and will NEVER use comfort inn or ORBITZ ever again

Hotel was close to expressway so the access was appreciated. Some small businesses nearby was good. Upset about the pool being repaired and not knowing until check in, as I searched for a hotel with a pool.

It was a great overall stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The workout room A/C wasn’t working but I didn’t ask for it to get fixed as I didn’t have time for it to get handled. That would be the only thing that may need improving.

Room was clean. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was adequate. Area was a little sketchy. Elevator needs to be serviced.

The facility was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't try the breakfast because I slept in after a long drive. I was booked for two nights but left before the second night because of weather. My only complaint is that nowhere on this site or even through the hotel chains app did it state that the pool was closed.

Booked the hotel because it said it had an indoor pool. When I checked in the pool was closed for renovations, the manager said they were two weeks behind on it. Clearly the pool had been closed for some time but not reported as such. Also the only pop machine in the hotel was sold out of everything except Coke.

Staff was friendly. Had to move rooms due to the tv not working. In the new room we Found a toothpick at the foot of our bed under the covers and a beer lid in the floor. When we tried to use the gym, the machines were not in working order. The pool was nice. Breakfast was ok. It was fine for 1 night.

Phones in room do not work. The pool is out of order, and the water pools in the tub when trying to take a shower.

The vending machines were empty. If you wanted a soda you had to go to the front desk. I couldn't find anyone, so I was heading to their juice machines to see if they were working. I found the clerk watching TV in the room. I had to shut off the auto turn on light in the bathroom, because it kept turning on and off. It was hot in the room, but I was afraid to use the fan or AC because it was making a very loud squeaking noise.

It was a good stay, but the pool was closed which was very disappointing. One of the reasons I chose this hotel from others

It is definitely in a less than ideal part of town. I never felt unsafe but my GF decided for us to drive back home instead of stay because she was displeased. The comforters were dirty/staind. There was a meatball on the floor which was not hidden, so defintely had us worried about the level of cleaning that is being done. Staff at the front desk were very friendly.

Convenient location. BUT if you are sensitive to street noise ask for a room in the BACK! Went out to my car at 9AM & was locked out of my room when I returned. When I shared my concern with the front desk all he could tell me was that "no one has control over that" REALLY?! someONE has to set the computer right? Breakfast is served until 9:30 and check out is 11AM, why would "the system" be set to be locked out at 9AM??? Side note: found a pubic hair in the shower at arrival, Ewwwww & also a toilet paper roll stained with I don't know what! Double Ewwwwww!!!

Very nice staff. Easy to find. Great price. Very clean room and comfy bed.

I liked that it was quiet, I did not like that when we were checking in there was no one at the desk and we waited 20 minutes till someone came up. I understand he was checking on the rooms but at least put a sign at the desk. My room smelled musty, I didn’t even realize the window was open and when I went to close it I noticed nothing but mold and black stuff on the inside of the window. It was really disgusting.

We check in, they have us a dirty room. Had to switched to another room. Where one bed was still dirty with dark marks. So, most likely the one slept wasn't either. They used the same sheets. Thephone or clock in the room didn't work. The tub drain didn't work. We got moved to another room the next day. I keeps asking to talk to a manager. Never got in contact with a manager. The third and final room had old ripped up curtains, stains in the carpet, and found a little trash under the sink in the bathroom.

Customer service was good, however, 3 keycard attempts. Which meant going back and forth to front desk. I'm disabled so was a strain. Got to room, was dirty and bed not made. Gave 2nd room and bathroom was dirty. Will not recommend or use this hotel again. Also when booked I thought I was very close to my appointment at IU but was still 15 minutes away.

Quiet clean rooms

I thought the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very good. I liked having a refrigerator in the room. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Waffle, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Desk personnel were very friendly. Very pleased with my stay.

It’s an older hotel so the signs of wear show. Rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast was a little lax.

Noise from highway

The TV didn't work. The telephone didn't work. I used my cell phone to tell staff and he wanted to come to my room at 10:30pm. I told him forget it, and used my cell phone for my wake up call.

The walls are so thin that I hear the person in the room next to me on the phone talking until 2am. The carwash next to the hotel had music going until late into the night. I thought there was a concert going on someplace in the neighborhood. Not someplace you can go to have a quiet relaxing evening.

Friendly staff. Great location. THE BEDS ARE SUPER COMFY!! The pillows, blankets. Loved it!

No renovations and noisy (outside the hotel and also the neighbours).

Checking in Clerk behind the Counter was just about as rude as she could be 2pm on Saturday ( Black Lady late 30’s ) she wouldn’t have a job if she worked for me being that rude to customers and requested bottom floor room when booked and was given a top floor room the five people in front of me were given a bottom floor room I asked the male clerk he said he was out of bottom floor room and stated they didn’t request a bottom floor and most of all this motel is in the Hood and not worth $190 that I was charges at best this is $79 a night room the owners should be ashamed and the refused to refund my money stop go to another motel in town and not in the Hood ( Do Not Book A Room At This Location)

Stayed here a couple times, great breakfast in the morning, and to get to town it's only a $10-dollar uber trip. I even left my smartwatch there and they mailed it back to me. What great service. Will stay again and again.

The front desk lady have the most nasty attitude in the world, worst customer service

The bad news: My reservation that I made in Feb. was not recognized by Comfort Inn. The manager blamed it on Expedia which is possible. The other possibility is Comfort Inn lost\deleted my reservation. The good news: The manager had a room available and we stayed at the Expedia price. The other good news: Since I knew we would be returning to the area in a week, the manager reserved a room at a fair price.

My husband left his phone in the room, the manager took the trouble to FedEx it overnight to me via my account and we were so happy

The staff was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was good. It is in a convenient location next to the interstate and a short drive to downtown. The property seemed aged, but the good easily outweighs the bad. I would stay there again if I return to Indianapolis one day.

I called the front desk several times prior to our arrival because I needed to communicate about the 2nd room we reserved. The phone went unanswered most of the time and two times the phone was picked up and immediately hung up. Once we arrived, the front desk staff weren\'t always there. Also, our key card was disabled between the first and second days we stayed there so we had to go to the front desk where, after we told the woman at the front desk about our card, she answered the phone and had a whole conversation while we stood there. The room was somewhat dirty. There was an open packet of coffee in the coffee cups. We put out the "do not disturb" sign and the cleaning staff came in anyway. They took away 2 soaps and only gave me 1 new soap so I had to "share" the soap with the shower and the sink. We only had 1 body towel that we ended up sharing. There was a grocery bag over the fire alarm. We called the front desk and they said to leave it there. The continental breakfast was unappetizing. Also, we walked past the food prep area and there was a bucket of sausages left sitting out a whole hour and a half after the breakfast time was over. For the price we paid, I would expect more out of this hotel. We won\'t be coming back.

The front desk person took 15min to realize we were at the desk and then our keys didn’t work and it took him 10min to reconnect them. The shower drains were clogged and dirty. Overall will never come back to this location or a comfort in again

Room was very clean Hallways and common places could use a deep clean Close enough to downtown for a cheap uber in, and still save $ on not paying for downtown hotel and crazy downtown parking!

Hotel has been renovated. Room was clean and comfortable. Good for an overnight right by major highway.

The property is off a major road, but the road nice was not a problem. There are multiple dining options around and across the street

We were really pleased with our stay at Comfort Inn. We booked our room through Hotels.com which made check-in fast and efficient. I had prepaid, so I didn't have to show ID or fill out paperwork. The girl at the desk was super nice, and the room was clean and quiet. We liked very much there was a Denny's just walking distance away from the motel on the opposite side of the parking lot. The motel provides a nice breakfast for free, which looked good, but we opted instead to eat at Denny's. We chose Comfort Inn because of its price and good reviews, and because it's close to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse where we attended a concert. An Uber ride costs us $28 to the concert, and it costs us $15 to return back to Comfort Inn. We highly recommend this Comfort Inn and Uber for those who are attending an event at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Easy access right off the highway. Conveniently located near a gas station and restaurants.

One night stopover on a roadtrip from Tennessee to Chicago. Clean, comfortable room, well equipped, comfortable beds, good selection of items for breakfast. Indoor pool was a bonus. Very close to i65, so quite a bit of traffic noise. Easy access to downtown Indianapolis by Uber.

The hotel was kinda dirty in a sketchy area. I definitely felt like I needed to be on extra high alert. Prices should be lower for this place.

It was a good stay breakfast was eggs sausage and u could make pancakes also grab and go stuff.

Comfortable bed, good shower pressure, friendly and helpful front desk staff, breakfast is ok with sausage links, muffins, bagels, and cereal. Clean room. Free parking. Would stay again.

The man at the front desk was pleasant. I had a hard time understanding him though. Everything seemed okay until we started walking toward the room. Almost every door had a broken piece at the bottom, paint drips all over the walls, saggy looking wallpaper…. It was just kinda janky looking. We get to the room and the beds and stuff looked and smelled clean but the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The ceiling was crumbly and falling off in chunks. There was a giant yellow stain above the shower. The tub itself had stains along the side like it had never been cleaned properly. It was just so gross. But again- the beds were clean. The breakfast the next morning was mediocre. The sausage was not good and the eggs looked so questionable I couldn’t bring myself to eat them. Coffee was weak and the juices didn’t taste right.

Not fancy, but worked as a place to stay. The clerk at the front desk was friendly. Breakfast was better than most (tasty eggs (fried flat) and sausage in addition to cereal, waffles, juice, etc).

Bed linens were smelly. Breakfast below average. Price is way higher compared to the services provided.

Acceptable accommodations but we’ve stayed at nicer and cleaner comfort inns and similar hotels. The building was a little run down. Breakfast was acceptable but again we have had better at other hotels. The property could have been a little cleaner. Also, the room was serviced the first of three days we stayed but that was it. The cost made this place acceptable but I could have found a better hotel now that I know.
