The hotel was ok, but we decided to go to a hotel with an indoor pool so we could swim and enjoy water time with the kids. The pool was closed for maintenance and nothing on any website said so. Also the room we were in had 2 tvs but one of those did not work and after the hostess came and tried to fix it the tv wouldn’t even turn on anymore. We were not offered any discount for our stay even after we told the desk person that the only reason we decided to stay at a hotel was for the pool. It was a very dissatisfying stay for us.

The property was not clean or maintained. I stayed for 3 nights and had to get my key card reactivated 3-4 times a day. The breakfast was cold and terrible. Overall, this was a very bad experience and I'm shocked that they are able to carry the Holiday Inn Express name. Staff person on check out only wanted to give excuses for the poor conditions. Also, Pool was not open, and I really don't think I would have used it anyway because of conditions. I feel that my comments will go nowhere, but just thought I would give my experience.

The hotel is old. By looking at the pictures, I thought it was near the beach, but it's not. It's 30 minutes from Pensacola Beach in light traffic. The air conditioner was leaking water on the floor in the room and it was moldy. I had to use my asthma meds. The bed had body hair under the covers and black stuff all over the sheets. The staff apologized and moved us to another room that was a little smaller, but did not offer a discount. The safe accidentally closed and it took forever for them to get it opened because the battery was too weak. Needs updating!! I loved the Beach, but this hotel is not the one. The staff was accommodating and somewhat friendly.

check in was very easy, the women who checked us in was especially friendly, i believe her name was Kim. The room was clean and comfortable, we had a queen suite. Both beds were very comfortable. The couch in the sitting area could be updated, but was comfortable for seating. The breakfast offered was a variety, something for everyone. We would definitely stay again. I felt terrible for the lady working the front desk. She was so nice and kind, and completely overwhelmed being the only person working. It seemed a bit abusive that she was the only one to help a line of people check in, deal with phone calls, etc. Our room smelled. Seemed like someone smoked in there, and there was a HEAVY perfume smell as though they were trying to cover it up. The couch had holes that looked like cigarette burns. Gross. Made the room feel very dirty. We were only staying one night so we just dealt with it, I did NOT bother the poor woman at the front desk about it, I know the hotel was already booked and there would've been nothing she could do. SO EXPENSIVE here to be so nasty. $270 for one night, it should've been $60. Motel 6 would've probably been nicer. I don't know that we will ever choose a Holiday Inn again, I was pretty surprised about this place as we've had good Holiday Inn experiences before.

The hotel staff were excellent. The check-in process was only terrible because Hotels.com did not send my 2-room reservation to the hotel. They only sent over my request for one room and they did not have a second of the same type available. The hotel did a great job of finding a second room that would work for my party of 6.

We chose this property after we stayed at another property two years in a row. We unfortunately gave them the benefit of the doubt the second year, (they said they were remodeling).So we spent more money and chose this one and the same area. it was clean, the breakfast was a full breakfast (the other one was a package of three mini donuts and coffee) eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, etc. . The hostess at breakfast was a delight very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

The beds are super high and difficult for a disabled person to get in. Suggested that they get lower beds or have step stolls with handles for disabled patrons. The staff are wonderful. It's very easy to find off the highway. The breakfast was FANTASTIC.

They charged my card six hours before I arrived, the desk clerk at check in was rude, as well as rude and acted out out when I called and told her the AC in room wasn't working properly. She came up to the room and did something to the unit whick made it kick on and then said well the bed is in front of the AC and it's not a good design. Needless to say the AC didn't work in the room in the middle of the summer. Front desk clerk at checkout was rude as well. The only good thing about this was the breakfast was good.
