The Marquesa is a small hotel - 20'ish rooms - in a beautifully kept compound of several buildings all of which overlook their 2 pools and gardens. We just completed our 5th stay there and plan to return next year. This is an adults only hotel which contributes to the relaxing and serene atmosphere - I love kids but this is a nice respite! The location is excellent being a block off of Duval and 5 or so blocks away from the waterfront. Many excellent restaurants are within walking distance but can also be reached with a short Uber ride or the free bus service - Duval Loop. The rooms are very comfortable and grounds beautifully maintained. The staff is very welcoming, warm and accommodating. The property is now co-owned by Noble Hotels and we could already see some positive updates made by the new owner. My only negative is that they now charge a $30/day resort fee. They have added a nice continental breakfast but while the Marquesa is a lovely hotel it is not a resort - no golf, tennis, spa, etc. They also now charge for parking which is typical in Key West but just glad to have onsite parking in a hotel in this area. Love, love, love the Marquesa.

Wonderful stay! Clean and inviting room with all we needed to enjoy our stay. Pools were very nice and we enjoyed them in the afternoons and evenings after exploring the Keys. Definitely recommend. Only downside is that parking is very limited. Though the post says ‘parking available’, we had to find our own parking the second day as the small lot was full upon our return from breakfast.

The hotel is beautiful and well situated. It has 2 pools one of which is heated. A couple things should be noted, they charge $25 per day for parking and unless you get one of the 5 spots, you’ll be parking a block away. Also, the internet doesn’t work work often than it does, but you’ll get charged a $45 amenity fee for it and the pool (no other amenities there). This hotel is good buy VERY overpriced.

Just returned from a fantastic experience for the six of us staying at the Marquesa Hotel for five nights. My wife and I are 80 and over the decades we've stayed at a lot of hotels. The Marquesa is among the Top 5. The beds are super comfortable -- the rooms are quiet and blessedly cool and comfortable with easy to use controls. The interior court yard with two swimming pools and fountains has extraordinary landscaping greenery, including a wall of orchids. The orchids are so perfect I first thought they were fake. But they are as real as rain. Most important -- the staff was the best you can ask for -- always available to help with a smile. Last, the location is ideal. We didn't need a car the entire time -- only used Uber to get from and back to the airport. I wish all of the hotels we've stayed at were half as nice as this one. Mike and Sandra

I cannot say enough great things about the Marquesa Hotel! Honestly, I'll return to Key West just to stay here. Having stayed at several other properties in the past, I now understand why Conde Nast Traveler and others rank this so highly. My room was attended to twice daily, and I was greeted by an incredibly hospitable staff. This place scores a perfect 10 for cleanliness and attention to detail. If you're looking for an intimate Key West experience at a beautiful property on the National Register with a 5-star dining experience, look no further. The staff is fantastic, and the attention to detail here is impeccable. A truly charming place!

It is very clean, our room was super clean and the property as a whole was so quiet and well taken care of. Immediately after we first entered the Marquesa Hotel, my fiancé and I started laughing at our sheer joy of the elegance, artistry, and superb joy of the Marquesa Hotel. The paintings, the furnishings, the lovely detail of the lobby was as welcoming as the staff, who immediately offered us a sangria for our arrival. We were led to a simply beautiful room which was also appointed with period furniture and great decor and an extremely comfortable pillow top queen bed. The inner courtyard was an enchanted getaway with two gorgeous pools and great plantings. The Marquesa is well-known in Key West for it's simle elegance. We shall return!

My husband and I had a very nice stay. The only reason I cannot give a five star review entirely is because our balcony didn’t have any sort of view. It overlooked another roof & was not spacious as the photos on their website show. I would not recommend room 33. The rest of the property, staff, amenities & restaurant were wonderful. We would definitely return, just request a different room.

The hotel was very nice. We love the pool area. The location is great and very convenient to the fun stuff. Airplane noise overhead daily and street noise was loud. We stayed in the 414 room. My biggest complaint is our room was very warm most of the time. We asked for it to be checked and no one ever got back with us. When I pay this much I would expect the a/c to be in the best condition. Cannot recommend because of the lack of cold a/c.

Loved the property. Staff could not be nicer or more accomodating. The only feedback I have is when you book it appears to be one big house but in fact it is several and they are a half block away. We were not in the main house, but would have preferred it, and our balcony room that I paid extra for had no view - nothing but vegetation and a roof that was visible from the balcony, and it was a shared balcony with the people next to us. Had I know that I would not have paid extra for that room. thanks.

However, beware if you book a junior suite as you may be put in room 6, which the hotel claims is a “junior suite”, however, the room is located in a separate location from the other 5 junior suites, is smaller than the other 5 junior suites, and looks nothing like the junior suite pictures they show when you book.

We loved the Marquesa. We stayed in a junior suite which was beautiful. We especially loved the wonderful bedding and the little patio. The heated pool was right outside our door and we enjoyed hanging out there after a day of touring Key West. The parking was convenient but expect to pay (around $30 a night). Was in a convenient location within walking distance to most of Key West.

Our stays at the Marquesa are always perfect and can never ask for more. Keith is a great guy and always is friendly and helpful whenever we are there. our flight was cancelled on 2/4/24 and had to rework to go back out that night. The staff was so helpful in letting us hang out until we were able to get back home. They are the best!

From reservation to checkout notbing but high end professional attention. Room was accommodating mobility concerns we had informed them of, and stay was very nice. My stay was outstanding! I went with myself and 5 other people (a mix of family and friends) and we all agreed that our stay was perfect. We were greeted by Drew, a wonderful staff member, who made check-in simple and personalized. He greeted us with a complimentary glass of wine and a simple tour around the property. Drew definitely went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as good as it could be. The rooms were breathtaking. Much bigger and nicer in person than the pictures so that was a nice surprise. Overall, our stay was wonderful and if we ever go back to key west we will be staying here. 10/10 stay!

This property was perfect for our visit to Key West. The location is great if you want to be able to walk to the local sites on Duval or Mallory Square, but also want to be able to get away for some peace and quiet. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was relaxing and comfortable. Pools were steps outside our room—closed at dusk so no loud parties to keep us awake. The restaurant attached (Marquesa Cafe) was excellent for breakfast and we had our best dinner in Key West at the Marquesa Cafe. I would highly recommend this property.

We were two blocks from the Main Street, DuVal Street. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. There were many shops, restaurants, and bars close by. Children under fourteen were not allowed nor did I see any pets so I assume they were not allowed also. It was a quiet area except for the many sirens at night

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. When we booked we were supposed to have free breakfast. They now give you a $25.00 credit towards breakfast. They honored our booking for free breakfast but if you are getting the $25.00 credit, this will not even cover half of your cost of breakfast as most breakfast for two people ran closer to $60.00. The breakfast cost is the only negative I can give as all else was excellent. I would recommend staying there.

From the moment we checked they made it special. Grounds are beautiful, pool is not big but nice, towels , umbrellas and chairs always available. Room was spacious and deck was a great place to drink wine and coffee in the morning. Decks are private overlooking the garden & pool . The hotel is located from walking distance to all major attractions. Café Marquesa is one of the best restaurants in town. We had dinner & breakfast, both were a great experience.We stayed 5 nights would definitely come back.

Lovely hotel. Amazing location. Beautiful big rooms spacious bathroom. Loved the shower. We had a huge front porch with comfortable chairs and table to have breakfast at. Nice private back porch . These porches were just for my room. Every room had their own private porches. The grounds were inviting for relaxing. The hotel restaurant was wonderful but only open for dinner. The continental breakfast was lacking. It was good but all sweets , they really should had bagels or English muffins maybe a rotating protein bacon, sausage, ham or. Cheese. This was our first time staying at the Marquesa. The location is great since it’s right in the middle of town. Overall, it’s a great place and staff is very friendly. They charge a $45 resort fee per day which is steep considering they do not have many amenities there. The pools were nice and quiet. There is no gym on the premises. Another negative was they do not provide turn down housekeeping at night. However, the day time housekeeping was excellent. It was nice to have the continental breakfast (coffee was great) but they hardly had anything there! No protein options and no dairy free milk. They just had granola, muffins, croissants, corn flakes and bananas. No fresh fruit besides bananas and sometimes oranges. I’m dairy free and gluten free, so unfortunately I had no options to eat. It was still a wonderful stay and very charming and relaxing there. I just wish that they had better breakfasts, turn down nightly service and a gym! Then would be perfection!!! Again, thanks to the staff there! We will be back!

This beautiful boutique hotel is perfectly located in Key West, about a 15 minute walk to the Hemingway house museum, the Southernmost point and Mallory Square. We stayed in a junior suite, which felt very spacious and luxurious. The only thing they might improve a bit on is the breakfast, which only contains sugary pastry and fruit. Some healthy bread options, yoghurt, meats or cheese would have made the stay completely flawless. This said, I would definitely stay here again.
