Great location right on the water with direct access to the beach that's easy to get to. Parking is valet-only so if you're driving and are coming and going, be prepared with tips - our car was always ready promptly. Staff is excellent, very polite and friendly. Hotel is clean, pool is a little tight on space, but the beach has chairs, small tables, towels, and wait staff. Room was nice overlooking the water. You will pay for everything you use except coffee as there are no complimentary beverages or snacks including a basic bottle of water. The shower didn't drain that well, and the hall outside our room as VERY noisy late at night and early AM with staff wheeling laundry carts back and forth (we stayed on the 3rd floor). We'll return, but will try to get a room on a different floor as there must be some sort of laundering facility on the 3rd, or maybe just storage for the laundry carts.

This property is right on a quiet beach with chairs reserved for hotel guests only. Pool is a little small but there is a lazy river to keep little ones occupied. Not many dining or shopping options nearby, hotel has a shuttle serve for guests but it’s rather inconvenient. Best to rent a car if you have little ones.

Parking is too expensive. Lazy river around pool was not working. Iguanas completely out of control. Close to beach and room was very nice.

The pool was a bit small. The beach was fantastic. Hotel service staff and cleanliness superb. So was the room.

The hotel is outdated, it’s at the end from the other hotels and you have to pretty much drive everywhere. They charge a resort fee of almost $100 a night and it’s not a resort. It’s a regular hotel with a swimming pool. I checked out early and they told me it wouldn’t be a problem and then charged me a early departure fee would not recommend.

The property is located right on the beach. It is a no cash property perfect!!! All the beach stuff is included.

Hotel was clean. Service was slow in the bar, fast in the restaurant for breakfast. Lazy river was closed for repair, would have liked to know this beforehand

Room was clean but the upkeep of the overall very old building is not great. AC vent in room was full of dust to where the AC did not cool properly. Overall up keep of hotel needs work due to building being so old. Baseboards need cleaning. The charges incurred while staying were insane and I had not anticipated it. Maybe I should have but it felt like as soon as you stepped outside of the room itself there was a charge.

the room was very dirty, blood on the pull out bed, dirty to-go containers in the dresser drawer, the sink had stains all inside of it, you can tell this room was just cleaned in 10mins, we were also promised conjoined rooms as we had a large group, and upon arriving at the hotel we were informed they have none in the entire hotel.

My experience at your hotel was very disappointing due to poor cleaning and lack of maintenance. The room was dirty, with dust, and a bathroom that was far from sanitary. The pool area was very poorly maintained. Tiles were broken in some places, and the chairs and umbrellas were old and dirty. It was disappointing because the pool could have been a highlight of the stay, but instead it felt neglected. Carpets and Floor at the lobbyand restaurants were dirty The beach services were very disappointing. On more than one occasion, employees were sent home early, leaving no one available to help with chairs, umbrellas, or drinks. Guests should not have to struggle to find service when it’s advertised as part of the experience. For a hotel that promotes beach amenities, this was very unprofessional and poorly managed.Only one lady at the pool and the young lady at the bar were attentive, friendly, and always went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. At the restaurant two ladies handled all are request with a smile, and professionalism truly stood out. Excellent service like this makes a big difference in a guest’s stay

Water was brown, 2nd room wasnt ready till almost 6pm, first room bathroom was dirty, sink had stains, the shared patio is terrible and always dirty.

We are locals and stayed there to enjoy a NYE Eve celebration close to the hotel. The first night, Dec 30th, our fan creaked so loud we couldn’t sleep. The next morning, we the door was paper thin, we heard nonstop screaming and running. We ordered breakfast to our room (omelette with ham/swiss/egg) and wheat toast. What arrived was a burnt omelette with bacon and cheddar and rye toast. When I asked to speak with a manager (the manager on duty Dec 31 at 11 am) she told me I probably ordered the wrong thing! HUH!? When the correct order came, it was freezing cold and the toast was uncooked and was the butt of the bread. Next, my little daughter got into the shower and when I went in to check the temp, the shower was covered in dirt and at least 8 pieces of men’s hair. I quickly wiped the disgusting stuff up so my daughter wouldn’t be exposed and put it into a glass. I called to the manager on duty again and sent her an email with the video and photos. She was completely unapologetic and my husband walked down the glass of hair and filth and she still couldn’t care less. When we got back from dinner that night, I called to see if we could check out at 1 pm Jan 1 (only 2 hours later) since we barely slept the night night before bc of the fan and noise, horrible man child on duty, hung up on me and called me a liar to my face when I came to front desk. NEVER AGAIN.

Room was dirty and falling apart

The room was beautiful. Clean and well maintained.

Bathroom had hair all over it

Staff was nice. Room was spacious. Very clean. Definitely had room to spread out. The on site food was mediocre.

The room needed some TLC. It had some water damage near the balcony area and the shower did not drain. Ww had to request an engineer to clear the drain our first night. It worked after the maintenence was complete.

This was our second time staying in this property and we would stay here every time! It’s clean it’s comfortable. The service is great. You cannot beat the view. We love it here! Only thing is try not to get a room by the elevators. It’s super loud.

We felt the room was very dull. Bathroom was spacious, but a tiled shower with no type of slip resistant flooring was dangerous! The dresser was crammed full of things they were trying to sell, leaving little space for personal items. Who puts a coffee maker inside a dresser?Did not care for the high top table and stools in the room. The decor leaves a lot to desire. Housekeeping couldn’t even be bothered to put the decorative pillows back on the bed after making it. A shelf with a stuffed pelican and a canvas painting wasn’t very eye appealing. Room description of ocean view should state that the view/balcony is through a steel door, not sliders and very easy to lock yourself out if not careful. The daily valet parking fee is ridiculous at $55+/daily. Save yourself a car rental and Uber! Most of the staff was pleasant but so many additional fees on everything might stretch your budget. We would probably not return to this resort.

Room was good but even on the 5th floor the road noise was bad especially at night. Be aware they charge a 22% service fee on all food and bar items. Resturant next door does not! However this is becoming more common in South FL. Parking is $60 per day $70 for an SUV. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Nice place on the beach sadly they were doing some construction when we visited certainly something to ask about if you are booking a trip.

The room.was spacious and well appointed. The balcony with ocean front view is hard to beat.

I really enjoyed my stay. My favorite part was how extremely comfortable the bed was! It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to booking again very soon for another staycation!

Wonderful property and oceanfront suite was beautiful! Only drawback was our door was across front the front of the building and you could hear the street noise at times.

Do not stay in this property. Hi. Here is my feedback from our stay so far 1. The restrooms on the first floors are dirty and smelly ( we noticed it on our arrival) 2. The staff at the beach. Immediately after setting up the lounges, asked me to scan a QR code without any prompt that it was to tip him. Not very nice. 3. Not enough towels at the pool or beach. And they looked old and not clean. One of them had a huge hole 4. Food pricey and not good 5. Servers were not helpful. I had to ask so many times for sugar when having breakfast 6. Coffee was served cold We had stayed in other resorts in the area and never had this experience. Unfortunately, we won't return here.

Overall the stay was fantastic. Upon arrival we had an issue with our room. We are offered a different room which we declined. The issue was resolved, our resort fees were waived, and a complimentary charcuterie board was sent to us. Fantastic service including full lunch/drink service at the pool or the beach! Only small issue I would mention is the pool hours. I have traveled to Florida 15-18 times in my life and visited other warm climates. I have never experienced a pool closing at sunset, or during this time, 6pm. With temperatures still being in the 80’s it would have been nice to have a nighttime swim.

It is an older property but well maintained and updated. The staff is phenomenal!!

Wonderful staff, wonderful food, and a beautiful room! I felt like I didn't even need to leave the property! We had breakfast and dinner at their Oceans2000 restaurant! I highly recommend breakfast, specifically the blue crab benedict. Watching the sunrise in the morning made our stay magical. We even were able to glimpse a rocket launch at night! Overall, I highly recommend a stay here!

You need to disclose the additional parking charges of $60 per day. Not very transparent. Staff was rude and unfriendly. We felt unwelcome. Could not understand the front desk person. Maybe an English speaking representative would work better. I would never recommend this dump to anyone

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a Fort Lauderdale gem. The moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by a pleasant aroma filling the air. The beach is steps away as you check in at the welcoming reception counter The accommodations are lovely, spacious, clean, and comfortable with a retro beachy theme. You are able to gaze at the endless sea from your oceanfront balcony. I was impressed with the beachfront staff. They quickly set up your lounge chairs, umbrellas, and tables, at your request, for your relaxing day in the sand. John and Jesse took great care of your food and beverage needs all day long with cheer and friendliness. John made sure you were hydrated with endless cups of ice water as he made you smile. There is a charming ice cream/gift shop serving delicious Gelato and other treats. With two restaurant options for your dining needs, you will be satisfied. One of them has a happy hour! Each interaction with the resort staff was friendly and kind. The beach and pool director/manager was very friendly and engaging. She excitedly shared with us some new initiatives she wants to incorporate at the beachfront. I wish I knew her name. She made me want to return in the near future. One of the best amenities I enjoyed was the complimentary shuttle to and from Fort Lauderdale restaurants, shops, clubs, and fun. All you do is text the driver your desire and they will do their best to accommodate your needs. I am excited with the thought of returning very soon

The hotel is very pretty and right on the beach which is a plus. The service though was awful. They are very understaffed and the staff they do have are very overwhelmed. Lunch poolside took up to 2 hours to receive one day. They had 1 server covering the entire pool area during spring break. Ridiculous. I felt very bad for the staff that was going crazy to keep the customers happy. This hotel needs to hire more people asap.

The service was exceptional- shout out to John, who worked on the beach!-and the food was also delicious. The location for our girls weekend was perfect. Also a truly lovely beach.

We like staying here as it is an attractive beachfront property that is convenient to both the FLL airport and Port Everglades.

Nice quiet location right in the beach

We had a wonderful time here. It was very family friendly with the lazy river, pool and easy beach access. They had fun events like a kids glow party with spelling bee and coconut race. My daughter had a blast. The staff were beyond accommodating, especially Andrew by the pool, Jean by the beach and Donte. I don’t have some of the names but everyone spoiled my daughter with fruit and ice cream any room she walked into and made her feel like a princess. We would definitely come back!

Pelican Grande sits on the beach. The rooms are spacious with a nice separate sitting area. Hotel staff friendly. The main restaurant is pricey, don’t sit outside on the left side, too much traffic. Happy hour has a nice menu. Coffee shop/ice cream shop has good coffee. Restaurant next door is good, Sand Bar? and more affordable for breakfast and lunch.

Nice hotel with direct beach access. Far enough from busy downtown beach that it’s quiet, but also further from restaurants, could be a pro or con depending on the person. Hotel food was good and pool was a good time. Made friends with some iguanas as well.

The beach access is amazing. I love the full porch on the back of the hotel facing the ocean. This is mostly a residential area so not many restaurants or bars around. If you’re looking for a lovely hotel with a relaxing beach vibe this is totally it! The sitting area in our hotel room was a perfect touch!

Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage direkt am Strand und es ist möglich, Spaziergänge auf dem festen Sand zu machen. Außerdem ist es interessant, den North Atlantic Boulevard mit den wunderschönen Häusern direkt am Meer zumachen.

A beautiful property right on the beach. Amazing balcony views. Pool and beach areas do get a bit crowded. And although the pelican’s on premise restaurants are nice and really good, there areno nice restaurants or coffee shops within walking distance.

Perfect location on the beach!

Room was very run down bathroom especially needs updates. Everything is extremely slow. Ran out of bath towels day two. Food all tasted like it was microwaved. Prices way too high.

The property appears a bit weathered and dated. The interiors of the rooms are clearly renovated, but still have areas where you can see weathering (ie baseboards in bathroom). The common areas are weather worn/dated. The pool is rather small. Staff was helpful and friendly. Food was decent in the bar. Not a bad place to stay, just not quite what we had in mind based on photos online at time of booking.

Beautiful hotel. The pool picture is deceiving. Much smaller in person but very nice. Loved the lazy river. Boutique is very pricey. Only negative was having to evacuate 5 flights in the early morning for a false alarm.

What a superb resort! The location is awesome, the staff is amazing, and the rooms are huge! The family and I loved this place. The only reason for 4 stars is because of what everyone else is complaining about in the reviews -- they ding you for every little thing. Parking is expensive, food is expensive, in-room dining and snacks/drinks/water are super expensive. Other than that, the hotel is now in need of a bit of a facelift. You can see the wear and tear everywhere. It's not an issue right now but it will be within the next 1-2 years.

i would rather focus on the positive which was the beach service and the phenomenal food offered .. the chef is inventive , creative making the food top notch delicious

Great location walk out to the beach . Great porch with rocking chairs also right on the beach. All the staff is very very helpful and friendly and accommodating. Food is average and the service from ordering to eating is SLOW. 22% service charge slapped on every order so even if you order one drink and walk away from the bar you are going to get charged 22%. I like to determine the tip for my service but they do not give you an option. You can Uber to many bars and restaurants in about 10 minutes for $6 to $ 15 dollars so we ate one meal at the resort and then ate elsewhere for the 5 days we were there. The beach is awesome. Private and not crowded.

We are at Ocean 2000 for dinner and it was delicious. It was kind of expensive but was worth every penny. Service was great from start to finish.

Loved the size of the suites ! The restaurant was fabulous and had a great view and ambience! The property grounds were a little underwhelming
