Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale/Downtown Las Olas Area

No sunbeds at the pool. Needs renovations/upgrading of the rooms. Parking convenient and beds were comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Brittney was very customer-friendly while managing the restaurant in the evenings. The restaurant featured great chicken wings and fries, and a good selection of beers. The complementary breakfast was another excellent amenity. The pool was also well-maintained. We stayed here before a cruise from Port Everglades and we were near some very good restaurants.

You will be charged for a parking spot even if you don’t have a car. Very Late deposit refunds.

The stay was ordinary. Room and service were fine and breakfast was satisfactory. But the swimming pool wasn’t heated and there was a $25 fee for getting into our room early. Very tacky.

I didnt know that I had to pay 22 dollars for parking at there own parking garage a night. The next day I called about the parking charge and was put on hold as soon as they answered 4 times for 15 minutes each. They would just pick up the phone and say " please hold" and click over the other line. Pool was closed which I didn't know about untill my days of cancelation was past due.

The spacious 2nd floor Breakfast Room/Lounge open onto a sunny and beautifully designed pool and terrace suitable for a much higher-end hotel.

Like the Hideaway bar, great option. Area around hotel not the prettiest but not the hotels fault. Plenty of parking in garage and easy to get to.

The hotel itself was very nice, I enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. The employees were also very goof. The outside of the property wasn't the best. A lot of homeless people were right outside. The parking was a problem, I wasn't aware that it was #28/night. My last 3 days there they were having work done, the front lobby wasn't easily accessible.

My husband loved the mini donuts soon arrival. The only negative is the garage. The corners are so tight going from one floor to another it’s very difficult.

Disgusting Room Condition and Poor Customer Service *Rating:* 1/5 *Review:* I recently stayed at this property. Room 300, and had a horrific experience. Upon entering my room late at night (around 11 pm), I was shocked to find 10-15 large cockroaches crawling on the mirror, walls, side table, and sofa. As a solo traveler with two small kids, this was unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I reported the issue to the reception staff, they were uncooperative and dismissive. I was told to leave the hotel at midnight if I wasn't satisfied, despite having already checked in. The next morning, I complained to the front desk, and the new staff member apologized and assured me that the manager would refund my stay due to the inconvenience. However, after multiple follow-up calls, the hotel refused to provide a refund. Expedia, through whom I booked, also attempted to contact the hotel on my behalf, but they refused to cooperate. For a reputed hotel chain charging premium rates, I expected much better service and cleanliness. The experience was equivalent to a low-budget motel. *Issues:* - Severe cockroach infestation in the room - Uncooperative reception staff - Lack of empathy and understanding - Failure to provide promised refund - Poor communication *Advice to others:* - Inspect your room thoroughly before settling in - Be cautious of unclean conditions - Consider alternative hotels with better customer service

The hotel has been newly renovated and was so clean! The staff was so nice from check in to check out.

The cleaning service was inadequate; the room remained dirty despite my request for them to come and clean. When they arrived, they only replaced the towels and barely made the bed, leaving the pillows on the couch without cleaning anything. Eventually, I became frustrated with the constant calls for them to come back. On the first day, they only showed up to "clean" the room at 4:00 PM, which is not a time when I needed anyone to make the bed. The breakfast is the best aspect, with everything appearing very fresh and a wide variety of choices. The staff at the breakfast station are incredibly friendly and kind, especially towards my child.

The staff were very friendly, helpful with food options and responsive to our cleaning request. Our bathroom toilet and shower/tub were both dirty upon our arrival and check in. There was construction going on the property main floor and noise started early in the morning. It would've been appreciated if a communication was shared about the construction in advance of the stay; to provide warning and notice. The hotel is within walking distance to a Publix and restaurants, which is convenient.

The bed this time was amazing.. the bathroom had hair on shower gel dispenser, a dirty hand towel, and look like feces stains on the side of the toilet didn't see until in the bubble bath that was gross...

Very clean hotel, staff was amazing even seeing them down a hallway or in the elevator. Our 4 year old enjoyed the pool and we loved dining at a nearby Flanigan’s restaurant which was very family friendly.

Check in was fine, but once we got into our room it went downhill FAST. The floor was gross, it hadn’t been vacuumed. Fuzz, lint, and tags on the floor. There was dried pee on the toilet seat. Every bit of metal in the room, from tables to lamps, was rusted. The pillows looked like they were thrown on the bed instead of being neatly made. We told the front desk and they quickly sent someone to “clean the room” which should have taken a good 10 mins or so to be cleaned properly. They vacuumed for 2 mins and “wiped” stuff down for 2-3 more mins. We wiped down the rest with some Lysol wipes and decided to go down to the pool. We walked out to the pool and it’s a really nice area. However, the lack of cleanliness continued. There were 3 cans in the pool, used pool towels all over the place, and no clean pool towels anywhere to be found. Then that night as we were getting in bed we found a BUGER, yes, dried buger on the sheet… I walked downstairs, asked for replacement sheets, was given the wrong size at first, and then we had to remake our own bed… When we went down to the continental breakfast, which was pretty good, Hilton Lady walked up and asked how our state was. We explained everything we had experienced and she acted apologetic but then continued to try and sell us on their Hilton honors program and told us they wouldn’t be able to do anything about our bad experience unless we were members… Common areas were nasty with dirty carpet and grime on the walls in the bf area

Place is really run down and dirty…..breakfast area filthy… not your typical Hampton Inn

The hotel was nice. Booked a room with 2 queen beds. The beds felt smaller than a queen. Looked like they were a double rather than a queen. Our room had a bit of a funky smell and I don’t think the AC was working. Air was blowing but it never cooled the room down and I was sweating all night because it was hot. Otherwise room was fine

The breakfast was wonderful...a definite highlight. The room was nice, clean and spacious. Strangely, however, there were no drawers and a very small closet. So living out of my suitcase for a week was a little challenging. The staff was warm and welcoming. I would stay here again.

I liked having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was good. Air conditioner unit was very loud. Draining system in shower and sink was very slow draining.

The beds and pillows were comfortable and I liked the room darkening curtains. The room and bathroom were clean and the mini-fridge and microwave were convenient. The staff was courteous and helpful. The free breakfast had more than an adequate variety of breakfast items and it was a great way to start the day. Everything considered, my family and I had a wonderful experience and we would not hesitate to stay at this property again in the future.

Noisy railroad noise during the night

AC is very loud !

My thermostat’s battery kept dying, so my AC did not work half of the time. The ice machine on my floor did not work. The shower fixtures were coming out of the wall.

Perfect for a reasonable stay in Ft. Lauderdale. Nice staff, clean...good breakfast...large rooms, I would most defintily stay there again.

This location..hands down the best service ever! I want to personally commend Amanda the Front Desk Manager for going above and beyond! She is awesome and I recommend anyone to book with them, you won’t be disappointed!!

Customer service was outstanding. All employees from the desk staff to the maintenance crew were dedicated to providing a high level of customer service. Requests for assistance were responded to quickly and professionally.

The staff went above and beyond, first to fix my television and then to offer my team a private room to work on a joint presentation. Shawnee was particularly amazing. She made me feel right at home, was great at communication, and made me feel like part of the family. I will come back just for her! The IT tech who helped with the TV fix was also very nice.

Fire emergency after 9pm. Intercom announced emergency evacuation required- do not take stairs use elevator. Everyone rushing down stairs and outside building. Fire truck came. No fire, however firemen told us (guests) waiting outside when asked what happened, that it was laundry room steam. Front desk manager and staff insisted the alarm was pulled by someone. Another guest came to front desk and said she saw someone smoking in hall next to fire alarm. Manager and staff argued with me in person and on phone insisting alarm was pulled by someone after fire department told us it was the laundry steam. Had to haggle to get a refund. Left and found another hotel

I would suggest you confirm with the hotel that you actually have the room you booked prior to arrival. I booked a double queen as I was traveling with my teenage son for spring break. I checked in without issue as I was told the manager was needed because "they didn't know what to do" (front desk associate was a trainee). I get my keys and go to the room to find a single king bed. I go back downstairs to the front desk, and the female front desk associate asks to assist me. I explain the situation and she pulls up my account and as she's laughing, she says the third party (expedia) double booked the rooms and I got what I got. She said there's nothing she could do but offered a cot which I refused as my son is 6'3 and 300lbs. She continues to laugh and says well are you sure because we'll be out of cots soon too. If I ever had to stay here again I would just book directly, but I would only stay there if I had no other option.

My card was stolen in Mexico a few days before the trip. I called the hotel and told them I would need to use a different card than the one on file. They assured me this was not an issue. They canceled my reservation. Then reinstated it at a higher price.

The reception when I came in was excellent but throughout the stay it was very slow. Tried to call to the front desk but no answer. I left an item there and they told me they had it. When I got there, they were not able to find it. The AC wasn’t working. Had to make a request twice. After they fixed it, same thing, air never improved. During both of my stays the floors were dirty like they hadn’t been vacuumed. My feet and socks were dirty. Breakfast was very nice. Had a rude customer service when we were trying to use the paid parking.

Great staff

Everyone in the bathroom has issues. Water came from two different parts of the pipe in the shower, you had to hold down the handle of the toilet the entire time or it wouldn’t flush and the sink barely drained. Also, they charged me extra for checking in early. I didn’t ask them to get the room ready early, it was just ready and this is the first hotel I’ve ever set do this. Last Hampton Inn I’ll ever stay at.

Good reataurants and night life within walking distanxe but just felt unsafe walking . Lots of homeless people

Reminds me of a motel. Not in the best area and definitely not “downtown” if you expect to be by busy night life do not stay here go to a hotel right by the beach.

We had a great 1 night stay, the only challenge was getting to Las Olas shopping district which was a bit far away. Not easy walking distance but a short Uber ride.

Liked the pool area and was in walking distance to the Las Olas shopping district. Would have liked a place to refill water though.

Area around hotel was kinda sketchy

The property is very convenient for the Broward Center for Performing Arts which was the purpose of my stay. Although it is less than a mile away, it is not an easy walk due to having to cross the very busy multi-lane Broward Boulevard and so I chose to drive there. the immediate neighborhood is undergoing lots of new construction of high-rise apartment buildings and condos so its busy. The hotel is clean, the hot breakfast options are adequate (scrambled egg, maple smoked sausage, potatoes, toast, make-yourself waffles). The room was very comfortable. There could be some updating of bath/ shower fittings. Staff were very pleasant. Parking is managed by an independent company so you pay for parking through an App but the parking lot is covered and adjacent to the hotel so very convenient.

Great location in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Staff were all very friendly. Rooms and bed very comfortable.

Great location, close to the shopping and dining district on Las Olas

The breakfast options were poor and was the same every day, i would have preferred fruits as an option, there was ripe banana only one morning throughout my entire saty, there were a lot of noise from other guest especially in the early morning that disrupt my sleep, i love the security of the property

Hotel and room were fine although shower did not drain properly and there was no room cleanup on Sunday of stay. Having stayed at Hampton Inns for many years this was the first time that the breakfast service was mediocre. Seemed that they put out just enough to get by. No fruit, yogurt or pastries Would not stay at this property again

Stayed here in the past and it's still good !! Breakfast was GREAT.

The free breakfast was great. A good variety every day. I made myself delicious waffles every morning.
