A very quirky hotel, close to the 16-th St Mall. Lots of dining and shopping options around. The hotel had its own parking, but not with a valet, just self service and the automated system was not very helpful . We had to call a few times, as the gate didn't open with our key card , as it should have . Ended up paying more for parking because we just bought a regular entry tkt , just to be done with it , as the reception desk was not always quick to answer.

The hotel is centrally located to downtown Denver and within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment. The hotel room was clean and bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and always available to assist. The hotel is a tired and in need of some major renovations. The themed floors are not something that should draw a person to the hotel - essentially stickers on walls. The elevators are excruciatingly slow. Using the stairwells are not much better as they lead to a parkade and one is extremely dirty.

Only two running elevators (out of five total) made for long wait times anytime you needed to go up or down. The floors in the common areas are quite worn down. The rooms area great, nice and clean, it’s time to replace the old noisy window AC units in the rooms, they’ve definitely seen better days! The staff was EXCELLENT!!!

Check in was great and ladies were professional! Elevators were not fabulous, worked half the time with no numbers telling you when it was coming. I used the stairs most of the time. Easy parking but seriously $45 for one night when I also paid for a room. Disappointing! Restaurant had great food waiters and waitresses were great. Hostess was terrible, rude and not accommodating what so ever. Rooms were clean, bed terrible pillows just awful. Coffee maker did not work.

I checked in late after a long day of hiking. I got up to the room, and 1-2 bugs were in my bed. The front desk was happy to switch me to a different room. However, the new room had a stained towel and stains on the pillowcase and bed. I promptly booked a new hotel and told the front desk I would check out in the morning.

Always enjoy staying at the Curtis. I did notice that the room was not as clean, carpets still had debris and M&M’s in the corner. Toilets weren’t cleaned very well same with the shower. Will still continue to come anytime. I’m in Denver. Love the 13th floor and all the themed floors as well

We had stained towels. Asked front desk for clean towels. When we got back to our room there was another set of towels that were stained worse than the first set. It’s so gross. The toilet was stain and looked really bad We did get free breakfast.

While the space was cool and definitely picture worthy. When I got into my room, I noticed that the shower curtain had dried blood on it and the floor of the shower had blood splatters. It was so disappointing because I was looking forward to my stay at the Curtis. I was changed rooms but even then I disinfected everything upon my arrival at the new room because I felt like the space probably wasn’t cleaned up to code like my first room had not been.

Cold morning shower in mold lined shower. Had to scour the room to eventually find the remote under the bed. Upon checkout was sitting in the lobby waiting for my ride when management came over and asked if they could help me in a tone that implied I was a vagrant. Meanwhile there’s a lady changing her child’s diaper in the lobby. Better options in the area for the price.

I liked the location as we were going to a venue within walking distance. The price wasn’t terrible for that area and some of the staff were extra friendly and helpful. What I did not like and why I will not return… The elevators are a joke. They take forever as in don’t have a medical emergency or you’re screwed. We waited for the elevator for a long time EVERY time. One of them had a sign to not use it but it was still being used and went to every other floor before arriving at the correct one. The decor is pretty cheap and this is not a hotel I’d go to for a romantic evening. Very basic and strangely themed floors. You can tell it was created on a small budget. The refrigerators don’t work we had 2 rooms and need for insulin refrigeration which didn’t happen. Parking was $60 for 1 NIGHT!!! Our room was basically clean but I found trash in odd places. All in all an OK stay but I definitely will not go back.

Good location and walking distance to many great restaurants and bars etc. nice staff. We reserved a corner room which was spacious and clean. We did out of an issue with the toilet, but they addressed it. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling and wants to be near their street or the convention center down there. Great pricing too.

Staff was super kind. The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. Even got a welcome gift of choc chip cookies. The only minor issue we had was we could not find the happy medium with the AC between cold and hot. I would certainly stay here again.

Clean room, beds were comfortable. For most, it's a solid hotel. After staying at a different hotel earlier in the week for work, I couldn't help but notice the renovations were a bit superficial. Bathroom had wallpaper that was to appear as though there was a chair rail. The walls in the room were bare and the furnishing, although unique, still somehow felt a bit sterile and sparse in a relatively spacious room. The theme on the floor was circus, which amounted to one whimsical dresser in the hallway, 3 warped mirrors in the elevator bank that weren't quite warped enough to make the viewer actually into funny shapes, and a sorta circus-y wallpaper in the corridors with random words above the doors, which then felt a little like a wing at a children's hospital. If you're going to do a theme, go all in to make it effective and fun, otherwise it's distracting. 2 great things: the 1 shared nightstand between the 2 beds had not just a standard USB but also 2 USB-C chargers; and I overhead front desk tell a different guest that we could ask for extra cookies anytime (by the way, didn't the doubletree cookies used to be more chewy/less crunchy back in the day?). The staff that checked me in was pleasant but also very tired/on autopilot. He asked me twice if i wanted a cookie and water then asked me again how many keys I wanted. Overall, the Curtis is a good stay in that it got the basics right but wish quality of the room/decor was a bit better.

The rooms are very clean and well decorated. We gad a very quite stay, beds are comfortable. The only downfalls would be the wi-fi is not great. The TV goes in and out, tried to watch a movie but got tired of the the buffering.

Nice hotel and nice area. I loved how friendly the front desk people were. Fun lobby area and the restaurant has friendly people too. They’re not snobby like some downtown restaurants can be. As for the rooms, they’re actually pretty spacious for downtown Denver. Bed was fairly comfy. The one and only downside was that the walls were not one bit soundproof. Otherwise, great stay! I’d stay again.

Shower was terrible, not sure who decided to do the shower head in 1001 but absolutely annoying that was the main complaint and the room was probably the worst located next the elevators and sounded like the cleaning storage room. It was like a motel 6 but for almost 300 room with parking not a great deal probably won’t come back due to price and shower.

The check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. We checked out all the floors of the hotel and some are definitely done up more than others. The room was clean. Out biggest issue was how much noise the heater/fan made. The fridge was super loud as well. Seems like the room just needs some maintenance.

The photos you see online of the themed floors are totally outdated. The current layout will leave you disappointed. This place is in total disrepair. The shower had mold on the caulking, and rusted out metal on the doors. The AC is incredibly loud. The TV had one channel, which was FOX news. There was a dead bug on the bed the first night. The staff is totally unresponsive. We were not greeted a single time while walking through the lobby. We must have passed the front desk 20 times on our 5 day stay and nobody ever looks up from their station. Housekeeping broke the wall behind the door while we were out and then just left it like that. We had to call the front desk to ask them to repair it when we got back to the room. No hot water. The elevators are filthy and take forever to arrive. The bed was so uncomfortable. Parking is a nightmare. Staying here was such a disappointment and we will never return.

My son and I stayed at the Curtis over the weekend of the 4th of July. We were told that the rooms were all recently renovated but our room was still tired. The bathroom was dirty and there was a tiny bug in the corner. The shower pressure was non-existent, and the water temp had 2 settings - ice cold and scolding. AC unit in the room was loud and sounded like it was about to fail. Worst of all was the service after the stay. I left several items of clothing on the top shelf of the cabinet. Per the rude front desk person I talked to on the phone, I submitted a claim on the Curtis website for the items. I provided the exact location, description (brands, sizes, colors, etc), of the items. It took them 2 weeks to get back and tell me that they were unable to find the items. I know with absolute certainty that the items were left in the room but apparently they went missing between when we left and when housekeeping made up the room. Overall, very unimpressed with the Curtis - rooms, service, etc. not good. There are a lot of other hotels in the downtown Denver area that would be a better option than the Curtis.

Front Desk staff had me wait in lobby for 3 hours after telling me that I could do early checkin and that house cleaning was currently cleaning my room. Then the young lady Alison had a matter of fact demeanor when I inquired as to why is it taking 3 hours to clean my room. Did not offer water or anything while I waited and knew my husband was a diamond member.

No hot water. Only a few channels, and the TV quality was awful. The mattress was awful. The handle on the cabinet for the fridge just fell off. This place just isn't being taken care of. For a similar price, I would recommend the Magnolia hotel instead. Kyle at the front desk was GREAT! We we're really excited about the stay at first, thanks to Kyle's warm greeting!

The staff at this hotel is top-tier. Literally the best service I’ve ever received at a hotel. From friendliness to restaurant recommendations, they were so incredibly friendly and accommodating. We booked a Mountain View 2 queens room and got a beautiful room with not only the Mountain View, but great view of downtown. The themed floors were so much fun and my daughter and I spent each night exploring the themes. Don’t miss out on discovering and enjoying the 13th floor! The lobby decor is fun and inviting and just adds to the overall enjoyability of the hotel. The location is fantastic and walkable to many downtown attractions and restaurants. The Curtis was an unforgettable hotel experience and I will definitely be back.

It's a very fun hotel with great theming, but what makes the hotel outstanding is the service. I've never felt so taken care of by a hotel, and it's all because they made me feel like a guest in their home. Would 100% stay here again.

The Curtis is perfectly located for out of towners like us who want to watch shows and concerts at the Denver Performing Arts complex. We stay there at least twice a year simply because of the location.

Great hotel, super cute! Just understand if you don’t specifically book a themed room, they are not all themed. But the non-themed rooms are cute. Hotel is very clean, quiet, right in the middle of everything. We parked at Independence Plaza two blocks away for $10, (it’s a very short and safe walk) versus $45 at the hotel garage. Found the spot on Spot Hero, nice safe, clean garage. We got the add on breakfast option and they give a voucher to take to the Corner Office which is attached to the hotel. You get an entree, juice and coffee included in the voucher. Entrees are $18-$22, coffee probably $2, juice probably $3 so you can calculate if it’s a good deal for you. We were also Hilton Honors members and got a $30 credit to use at Starbucks around the corner, The Corner office restaurant or the gift shop in the hotel lobby. Overall, great for a weekend getaway! It is an older building and more like an independent boutique hotel so if you are looking for a standard typical Hilton, this is not the place for you. But it’s great if you like unique.

Booked for the price and location. We thought the underground parking was convenient. The receptionist told us our parking would be comped but when we went to leave the method she said would work didn't so we payed $45. The restaurant, the Corner Office, was very good and had great service. It was easy to book and had friendly staff. The room was basic and had everything we needed. It was missing soap to wash our hands and the hot water wasn't that hot. We saw parts of the hotel still bring under construction or needing repairs which felt unfinished. We enjoyed the hot cookies during arrival. Overall it met our needs for a one night stay.

I was at The Curtis for an event and it was great - the food at the event was awesome. However, The Corner Office - the restaurant attached is poorly staffed and food is not that great for price you have to pay. Room service? You'll have to go down to The Corner Office and get it yourself. More food options would be nice - beyond the 5 and Dime area in the lobby.
