Bunks at Rode

Front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Stayed two nights. The room was spotless. Bed was comfortable. Very nice comforter. Charging station in bunk. Bunk had its own lighting. Locking storage with each bunk with adequate space. Towels provided. Very little outside noise noticeable. Large sitting area in room. The room had dimmable light. The bathrooms were very clean. Multiple sinks, multiple hair dryers. Showers had heated floor. Shampoo and body gel available. Multi-point room card check for opening doors. Huge common area and bar. Microwave access. Fridge storage. Luggage storage in lobby for a few on separate app. Connected to a grocery store. Very close to public transportation. Only complaint is mold in showers.

I stayed in room 335. The wifi was terrible. I dont know it it was because I stayed far away from the central hoast but I lost connection every 30 minutes. Beside from that, everything was fine. The rooftop view is nice.

We had a private room and it was great. I appreciated the common area kitchen also, and the rooftop was very neat. Definitely would stay again.

Fräscha rum och gemensamma utrymmen. Välstädat. Sköna sängar och snygg clean inredning. Står nog på hemsidan om man läser ordentligt, men jag blev ändå besviken över att det inte fanns möjlighet att tillaga ett lättare varmt mål mat. Det som fanns var 2 microugnar, varav den ena var trasig. Smidigt att ta sig hit både med buss och trikken. Helhetsintrycket är bra och jag kan tänka mig att återvända.

I liked that it was quiet yet if you wanted company you could go to the second floor kitchen. I liked that we could use the kitchen and it's facilities. I loved the roof top terrace. It was so easy to get around by bus. Just an overall good experience. Thank you.

This hostel was chosen because my preferred hostel closed down to make way for a school full time campus. The hostel was beside the Kiwi supermarket which made me so happy thinking i could buy my groceries there without travelling to anywhere to buy BUT unfortunately they didnt allow cooking for Dorm guests so i had to return my stuff i bought for cooking.

Exceeded my expectations Usually I do not stay at bunkhouses ….years ago I did This place is excellent 0.5 hours from the Palace, Nobel museum Groceries and beer 5 meters from front door Huge kitchen/dining areas Washroom are CLEAN Highly recommended this place Impressed me From CANafa 🇨🇦🙏👍 I

Bunks had really comfortable beds, cool design, nice clean bathrooms a great kitchen and social space and was right near the tram & bus stops. Grocery rights next door too. Would definitely stay again.

Hadde eget rom med bad og et lite kjøkken, med tilgang til vaskemaskin og sosiale muligheter i felleslokalet. Perfekt for pendling der man ikkje har anledning til å ha egen leilighet, men likevel vil ha hjemmefølelse.

Très bonne auberge de jeunesse, propre et bien équipée. Le personnel est sympathique et efficace. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de plaques de cuissons ce qui nous cantonne à des plats de survie.

I stayed here for 3 nights in a large shared room. I can’t complain about the noise from other guests—it was expected, and I came prepared with earplugs. However, the main issues were with the bathrooms and toilets. During my stay, all the bunks were occupied, but the number of shower rooms was very limited and they were constantly in use. There were two hair dryers, but neither of them worked. The water temperature in the showers wasn’t adjustable and felt too cold for me. On Sunday, there were no cleaners, so the toilets were in a poor state and had run out of toilet paper.

Somone opened the door when I was sleeping, the reception had given the room to another person by mistake !!! Unbelievable Also there was blood stain on the bed , very disappointing, I am really disappointed….

Det var stort sett rent, men i perioder var det totalt manko på toalettpapir, og det bugnet over med søppel og oppvask i fellesområdene. Ellers, trivelig og ryddig, hyggelig personale.

The space is very new and welcoming, with a nice hostel vibe. At the same time, I was expecting some basic facilities shown in the pictures and description that were missing. For example, there was no kitchen stove or oven. I was also really disappointed by the lack of cleaning of the microwave. I reported this at reception on a Tuesday, and they told me that it is usually cleaned during the Monday shift. However, during the days I stayed, nobody cleaned it, despite me mentioning it a couple of times on the first day. To me, it doesn’t make sense to have beautiful, modern fridges but overlook such basic hygiene. I also understood from the description that there would be coffee and tea available, but the only option I found was a paid coffee machine. The bed itself was clean and comfortable. However, the room was not checked or tidied daily. I stayed for three nights, and the empty beds around me were never cleaned or prepared again. That said, the rooms are new and well designed for sleeping, with useful features like adjustable lighting, comfortable lockers, and a bench that made it easy to dress and organize belongings. Nonetheless, I was not satisfied with the customer service or overall experience. I slept very poorly—partly because of alarms going off from 5:00 a.m. onwards, and also because on the second night another guest snored so loudly (and even talked in his sleep) that it was impossible to rest, even with earplugs.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Place is very clean and organized.

The staff was very friendly and patient. I liked the common room. Every room was very clean and comfortable. I had absolutely no problems with my stay at Bunks at Rode.

Honestly better than expected for 26 bed room, super comfy beds, can make them mostly private with the curtain and a towel, key card lockers and lots of space made it ideal. Also being above the grocery store was perfect

Easy to find . So nice little private room with good bed and kitchenette. Clean and safe .

Great hostel - bed was comfortable and even though I was in the larger room, it didn't feel like it as the beds were spaced out. Finding my room was a bit confusing but the staff was helpful and friendly. The neighbourhood was safe but a bit of a walk from the centre of town and main attractions.

Good place to stay for one or two tops. Clean but bunks are crowded

Os funcionários são bem mal educados e não ajudam com nada, me decepcionei muito com o atendimento. O quarto era bom, mas o chuveiro estava com problema. A limpeza era ótima!

I stayed at this location on my first journey out of my country. I was initially intimidated by traveling in a new country where my language wasn't the standard, but the staff at Bunks at Rode were very patient, accommodating, and helpful.

Property was exactly as described. Close to a grocery store and a 2 blocks away from the bus stops

Fijne locatie in/dichtbij een leuke, hippe wijk met pleintjes. Ook goed te lopen n het centrum. Accomodatie (4p app) was prima! Alles zag er netjes uit. Mooi dakterras!

Très bon établissement, très propre 👍 magasin Kiwi juste à côté de l'hôtel. Tramway a 7 min a pied , arrêt de bus à 3 min (ligne 30) . Parfait 😀

Very clean and enjoy the communal sitting area and kitchen. The location was very central around 20 walk to get to Oslo central station.

Easy check-in and out, great location, everything clean and in working order. Spacious, private, quiet room (we had a private room for four). A little strange that our room included a kitchen but had no pots/pans/dishes/utensils of any kind. This was our first hostel stay so I'm guessing guests are expected to either bring their own or pay extra? Towels and linens and soap in wall dispensers (at the bathroom sink and in the shower) were all included. Huge bathroom. We stayed on a Friday night and it seemed busy enough in the main areas but I was amazed how quiet our room was the entire length of our stay. There's a Kiwi grocery/general store right next door, very convenient! And plenty of parks, cafes, etc. within walking distance. We also walked from and to central station, maybe a half-hour walk? But local transit is probably great too, we just didn't use it our one day in Oslo. I would absolutely come back here!

Great little room and they lent us a very nice heater to help get the room to a tropical travellers temperature. Well located to a main bus line.

J’ai particulièrement aimé l’équipe sur place toujours serviable et souriante. Les dortoirs sont propres et l’emplacement est idéal. Par contre, ça manque cruellement d’installation pour faire soi-même sa propre nourriture. Il n’y a que deux frigos pour tant de gens, et pas de four !

I liked the location and how close public transport was. I also liked the amenities in the kitchen area with the fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle.

Très propre, grand et bien situé. Lits très confortables. Manque un peu de vaisselle. Il n’y a pas de micro-ondes.
