The bar was noisy but the music ended at 10:00 and it was quiet thereafter. Very friendly welcoming staff. Use of the common kitchen area is very handy as is the laundry facilities although we did not use the latter. The meal inthe bar was very good.

Fabulous position, short walk to waterfront & bus terminal. Venue perhaps a little 'tired' but pool area excellent, Rooms clean & well serviced. Staff amazing, very helpful & courteous, shout out to Joy-Joy receptionist & front of house for accommodation. Good live entertainment. Food good, menu could be updated.

The rooms are a little dingy as they lack natural light, and the lighting is very dim. Rooms are tired but clean as are the remainder of the facilities. If you require car parking, hotel parking is limited so you will need to pay for on street parking. Location is good with many eateries close by or short walking distance. As I travel for work, this is sufficient, and I would stay here again. If you are expecting the hotel to look like the photo in the ad, you will be disappointed. Depending on the room you get (i.e. near the pool, it will be noisy as there is live music most nights and patron frequenting the bar and open dining area until around 10pm. I would suspect that the other side of the hotel would be less noisy.

Nettes Hotel in bester City Lage. Unser Zimmer war sauber und nett eingerichtet. Ein bisschen Renovierungsstau ist im gesamten Gebäude vorhanden. An der Seite des Hotels stehen nur wenige kostenlose Parkplätze für Die Gäste zur Verfügung. Die Innenstadt von Darwin mit ihren Bars, Restaurants, etc., sowie die Fußgängerzone und der Hafen sind fußläufig bequem zu erreichen. Das Hotel selbst verfügt über eine kleine Außen-Bar, in der auch dezente Live-Music gespielt wird. Wer ein bisschen stimmungsvolles Leben bevorzugt, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

The pool is fanastic, evne better than the pictures as it says a bunch of seating options, Sun loungers, chairs, comfy couches and lovely cabana style seating. Great live music at the restaurant downstairs and centrally located in Darwin to access the supermarket and beach. Lovely atmosphere and any staff I dealt with were lovely and friendly. Seems like a staple in the community as its always busy in the restaurant and outside seating for the live music. Lively downstairs but once you hit the room its quiet. Love the full size fridge and huge wardrobe for storage.

The Cavenagh is quite a big complex of rooms above a fairly busy bar (although it’s quiet at night unless on weekends!). My room wasn’t near the bar area so it was fine but i know other people had more issues if they were closer to the front of the building. My room had a skylight but no window but otherwise was a large, clean room with good en suite and effective air con. I wasn’t using the room during the day - i was at a conference nearby - so it was the perfect return for the cost. I probably wouldn’t stay there for a romantic break but if you just need somewhere cheap, safe and clean to stay then it is great!

Le personnel était incroyable tellement à l'écoute ils m'ont bien aidé surtout suite à des problèmes que j'ai eu avec mon vol et ma valise. Par contre la chambre était dans un vieil état, tout comme la sdb. J'ai vu un gros cafard dans la chambre. On entend absolument tout de l'extérieur et la clim ne marchait dans l'une des deux chambres. Le resto bar est très sympa et la nourriture y est très bonne.

Great that they have a kitchen, which you can use. I was lucky that I had a room without a carpet, unfortunately the staff did not regularly use the vacuum or mop. All in all, the stay was great, the staff alway helpful and kind.

The room was great.. clean and very comfy.. I had trouble with the tv not working or not working properly when I did get it to go.. bed was great.. great for a pub hotel.. if you don't like noise then I don't recommend staying as it a pub..

Good location in the city, friendly staff. Rooms were clean, basic, tired but ok. Ok value. Nice cosy pool area, great pool. Noise be prepared for noise and lots of it from the bar area until around 11PM. I got a note at time of booking but it was louder than I expected each night. At the time I stayed end July 24 there was demolition taking place directly behind the hotel so expect excavator work noise from 07:00. Cafe across the road for breakfast. Great steak but book your spot early.

My room was above a bar. Band didn't finish till 10pm and then could here noise from patrons then bar staff cleaning up. Bathroom was very dated. Everything was clean and tidy but i wont be back. Not for people travelling for business but more for people wanting a few drinks and want something cheap. Pool looked good but didnt have time to use. If booking get a room away from bar

Viktigt att få information om att hälften av rummen är fönsterlösa. Att tillbringa en natt fönsterlöst (ett ljusschakt 2m upp räknas inte) är kanske OK men inte en vecka. Mycket livlig Pub i samma hus är både trevligt och störande. Slitet hotell men ok i renlighet. Centralt.

Room was very "tired", no windows, dark, depressing, bathroom shower had no pressure. Bed was comfortable though. Saving grace was the restaurant had the best steak I have had in 30 Years.

Staff are so friendly! I arrived prior to check in time, however the staff still gave me a room to change, stored my luggage, and let me chill by the pool. Additionally, the staff allowed me to chill by the pool on checkout. Thanks, I’ll be back.

Well located, friendly staff, clean and tidy and surprisingly quiet apart from room doors and main security gate that bang closed quite loudly as guests come and go. I’d definitely stay here again. Good value for the price, too.

The staff were great to deal with and very helpful and friendly ❤️. The place is and looks very tiered and in need of renovation all over…also in our room the shower knob kept coming off, the shower curtain is not very effective, let’s out a lot of water, very little storage space…fortunately we were only there for 2 days, so living out of our suitcases wasn’t too bad, but not desirable. Not having a lift is bad. Far too noisy. Food at the Cav pub was great.

While the attached pub was a little rowdy, the live music was always excellent and it wasn't noisy until late. And the food was very good. The accommodation is fairly basic, but has all you need. It is well-positioned and walkable to shops, dining options, and so on. And the staff were all fantastic to deal with. You probably can't beat it for the price.

Staff was extremely helpful and fun. Good location, easy walk to sights and public transit hub, The bistro/bar had the best priced most delicious food in town. Freshest and cheapest oysters in town. Party atmosphere all around, but everyone went quiet around 10pm. Cool pool toys. Oh, and the hotel room was lovely too.
