Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa

Booked one night as a last minute get away not having been here before. All I can say is we can't wait to return. It's only 15 minutes away from where we live so can't believe we've never thought to stay there before. The standard double room was great. Lovely big bed which was very comfortable and the rest of the room facilities were good. Booked the room with spa access which was amazing. We love thermal suites and this one was one of the better ones we have visited with a very ornate pool. Later on we dined in the restaurant both having filet steak which was cooked perfectly. Starters and deserts very tasty. We both enjoyed a really good night's sleep on a very comfortable bed, followed by excellent breakfast. All on all, one night just wasn't enough and we will have to look at coming back very soon.

The room was ok Bathroom very clean Carpets were a bit worn And the lighting wasn’t great No full length mirror We were attending a wedding and needed the better light to get ready Breakfast was far to expense £23.50 per person Many of the guest had that included with the room our stay didn’t again disappointed Not to be offer this We had a wonderful time at the wedding we didn’t use the spar but had lunch in the brasserie The staff we very friendly but a bit haphazard We ordered our food my meal was incorrect and by the time they had redone it my partner had finished his Also lots of diners were in swimsuits and robes Not very nice to be honest

Wonderful Hotel and fantastic stay with fantastic Spa Facilities to use during your stay with breakfast included.All the Staff are so friendly and helpful.

Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Using the outdoor jacuzzi’s was a treat, especially when it is cold outside, and watching all the different birds from the warmth.

Customer service is hit and miss. The main dining area is nice but again the food quality is hit and miss the steak was a cheap cut of meat very chewy but the flavour was good. I ordered a brownie which came almost frozen. The spa is a nice facility but they definitely need to have staff management on busier days. The rooms are okay but terrible lumpy pillows and a little dated. I would probably use the facilities if i lived local but not go out of my way to visit Thornton hall it is very basic i would give 3.5 Stars
