You could not pay me to stay here again. Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else. One of the main reasons I chose this motel was because parking was included and my car would be outside my room. WRONG. They had me staying in a room over the road, no parking, incredibly difficult to get to and no pool etc there as advertised in the property description. I argued and got free parking there, but only 3 spots available. The apartment block required 2 different codes to get in, and you used them 3 seperate times (door to enter building, in the lift to operate lift, and at door to get in) to get in. Not cool.The room had no storage space, nowhere to hang clothes, nowhere to put your bag besides the floor, no bedside tables or lamps, no where to put clothes in the bathroom and no screen around the shower so water went everywhere, including wetting all the toilet. The tv was on the wall at the head of the bed so no laying in bed watching tv. No lamps at all and the lighting was incredibly bright. There were curtains but the balcony had very very bright automatic lights that could only be turned off by flipping the switch in the fuse box, which turned off all lighting in the apartment. Inside the room was like day light all night long. The staff did not give a toss and the gentleman who works there was very rude. Not as advertised and not very nice. The cleaning staff were the only nice thing about the place. It was clean, but no spare blankets or pillows.

Car parking is appalling small and hard to get your car into. Someone was smoking weed on the top floor and the whole floor stunk of it. Apartment was ok, just old only good thing about it was the price. Would not stay here again

Its a great place for a quick one night stay. The property is clean. Parking is a bit tight if you check in late.

Room was clean and nice, close to shopping centre and MacDonalds, contact free check in and out. However didn’t enjoyed the stay much, pool water is cold even in hot summer, pillows were firm and hard to sleep, room missing toilet bin, facial towels, dust pan, some common kitchen utensils like tongs. Some missing items were provided after the request only.

Don't stay here. Pay more and stay elsewhere. Showers were stone cold. Nowhere to park. No one answered the phone when we tried to get into the carpark. We were put in a different building than what we thought we were booking. This place does not meet basic expectations.

Small bedsitter. Broken window shutter. Functional kitchenette. Close to amenities and shops. Limited carparking. Electric vehicle charging capacity but expensive considering not an ultra/fast charger.

I loved their spa. Nice and spacious however the pool was out of use the whole time after someone had confirmed the pool WOULD be in use the next day. The staff at reception seem miserable and not forth coming. They don't appear happy to be there. The pillow case had yellow stain, the bed sheet had a cigarette hole in it. The cleaners were more forth coming than reception staff. They could learn a thing or two from their cleaners.

Good room layout, however carpet was visably dirty/ stained, walls were marked up, sheets were stained and generally didnt feel clean. Booked this accommodation specifically to have pool acces. Pool was closed off while maintenance happening next to it. No mention of this anywhere during booking process.

Our room was not properly cleaned the window sil had old soft drink rings on it , as well as where you could clearly see it had spilled down the wall. The down light above the front door in the room was half hanging out.

The property was dirty, the bed linen was dirty, the bedding had a cockroach in it and there were cockroaches running around the apartment. The couch was worn and sunken in. There were people shouting in the hallway at night. When we contacted the property we were told that we couldn’t get a refund because we didn’t contact the after hours line. (that incurs a fee) it doesn’t state this and they have told me that it doesn’t have too. We left at midnight rather than staying there. Would never stay again. It was disgusting.

When I first entered the property, I was very pleased with how big it was and the facilities in the room. But after being in there five minutes I realise the place hadn’t been cleaned and was infested with German cockroaches. The soap was still in the shower from the previous guests as well as empty shower gel bottles and even a lovely sticker from a lime stuck to the wall of the shower. The bedsheets had a burn hole in them and hair on them. The lounge is beds and chairs are all very worn and tattered. But the worst thing was the cockroaches they were everywhere. I even found a dead one in the kettle. I specifically booked the property because I like to cook my own meals when I’m away, but there were roaches all over the fry pans and in the cutlery drawer. The place was cheap but I will never stay there again.

I booked three different nights as my family met up in Newcastle to go to a funeral. The first room was okay but had a strange layout. Beds were great but the floor was filthy. There were workman drinking outside near our room, they were just urinating out in the open. There’s not enough towels, no hand towels, no bath mats, no face washers in any of the rooms we had. The whole place is under construction which wasn’t made known to us on their website. The next night we moved to a two bedroom apartment same thing, the floor was filthy dirty. The parking was a complete joke. The windows didn’t lock even though the room was on the HWY. The noise from traffic was very loud at times. Beds were good but the spa bath plug was broken so no bath. No towels again plus hit and miss on tea and coffee things. Dirty utensils in the draw. We returned after staying in Bathurst for the funeral and

The place was noisy at night. The bath was not cleaned and I had to clean it before use. There was rubbish left under bed from previous guests. The place needed a good deep clean lots of dust and grime.

Very disappointing, the room was not ready at check in time. When we did gain access, the room was not made up properly. The room was dirty and had not been cleaned properly for a long time. We pulled tge sofa bed out and brown water started leaking from it. Fridge had a bad smell. Wont stay there again and i would warn others not to stay there either.

Very dirty there was 6 of us there only got 4 towels Sofa bed didn’t have sheets or blankets or pillows so first night 2 people couldn’t sleep on it Floors was not swept food on floors cupboards was very dirty and so was fridge very disappointing for the price you pay to stay there went and put a complaint in to office and he just said send me photos to the email he gave me and when I went to send then it said wrong email. Would like my money back but i dont think that will happen also will not be going back and I’ll be letting other know about how dirty this place is.

Our booking was changed without communication. The sheets in three of the four beds were dirty and clearly had not been changed between guests. The floors were dirty. There were renovations being undertaken and most surfaces had building dust on them. There was a dirty fork under the bed and a used/discarded nail file caught up in the sheets. We were given an apology, but will not book here again.

Beds were super soft and had a great night sleep. Room was not that clean had handprints everywhere and cigarette butts outside on the balcony. Bathroom was nice and clean though. :)

Dirty and uncomfortable bed, cramped, minima crockery, light unable to turn off outside, security gate broken. Honestly I showered with sandals on. The other building is much better.

Terrible location, a lot of noise all night, no sleep. Noise continued all day due to construction. Was never told there was surrounding construction. Booked 3 nights, left and rebooked somewhere after first night.

Room was large, cleverly designed and well equiped with full size fridge. Property is close to a good bush walking trail that I used for exercise. To limit intermittent air conditioner fan noise at rear of ground floor apartments windows had to be closed tightly. The windows seal well but then prevent fresh air flow into apartment. Air conditioner in my apartment didn't seem to be working - notice on screen referred to filter needing to be cleaned. The apartment stayed surprisingly and comfortably warm during the cold days. Exterior walkway lighting was very bright at night coming through translucent entrance door - I was able to block this by a hanging a curtain, (not designed for door) found in the wardrobe, from the curtain rod at the top of the door. En suite floor becomes wet when showering.

Overall good and convenient. Bedroom space tiny and one side of queen bed against the wall limiting access to that side. No hand towels or face washers.

Pull out sofa bed was set up for our 8 year old, could not use it as the supports were broken and the mattress kept falling thru to the ground. Mould in bathroom and in the doorway to the bathroom. Not all lights working in room. Very different experience to when we had previously stayed here.

Hell Stay Literally our worst stay in a hotel ever. Clearly the building was a townhouse cheaply and illegally converted to five hotel rooms. One tiny window which was frosted so you can’t see out and the winder was broken so it could not be opened. That one and the small bathroom one faced onto massive flashing lights neon advertising sign. Think Times Square in New York. The light of which was impossible to keep out of the room. Mounted on the ceiling above the bed was a flashing fire alarm, a flashing internet modem with many lights and the door electronics, also flashing. During the night the door electrical panel changed to ‘checkout’ which was an incredibly bright red light that made the room so bright I could read my book ….. I wish I was joking. The bed was a Murphy bed that flipped down out of the wall with a mattress that appeared to be concrete. With only 10-12 inches on all sides between the bed and the wall you needed to walk/slide sideways to move around the room. Absolutely no way is this room up to fire code. On top of the plethora of disco lights the switch board for the building, with no cover, was mounted low on the wall beside the bed and some electrical fault was causing a repeated switching on and off of a mechanical switch every ten minutes or so that when it happened the first time we thought the panel had dropped off the wall. This loud clock/crash sound repeated every ten minutes all night long. We did not sleep …. At all.

Very reasonable price, not very easy to find due to road works in the area. The spa bath wasn't practical for me to shower in. The area was quite noisy

False advertising regarding free wifi; only 500mb the rest need to pay. Floor is very dirty. Plenty of parking and good communication. No spa within the property as per advertisement.

Staff were rude. Room wasn’t ready at check in time and when we were told the room was ready the floor was still wet and dirty and the room stunk. Air con wasn’t working. Wanted to move us to another room and move our things. When we declined we got told too bad then deal with it .

- Stained carpet - Shower door doesn’t shut and water goes all over the bathroom floor - big slip hazard. -Kitchen tiles - greasy/sticky -No bedside tables -Felt very unsafe in and around the building - lot’s of junkies and dodgy people around. -Woke up to someone screaming one night -Terrible parking, only 5 spots, wasn’t told I’d have to book parking or pay extra for the privilege. No room for anything bigger than a small car. -Thought I was staying in the Executive Villa’s, because that’s what I booked. After not being able to find my room and asking at reception they told me that my room is actually across the road in another building called the Azzuro. -Will never stay here again and will tell everyone about my experience!

TRAVELLERS BEWARE!!! You will not get what you think you have booked. Do not expect staff, especially the manager, to be welcoming and polite. Do not expect cleanliness or order. The only positive was that reception staff were polite. The manager was rude, obnoxious and uninterested. Upon arrival we were allocated a room that had not been cleaned - dirty dishes piled in sink, bed unmade, bathroom used. Upon complaint we were allocated another room which had a broken sofa bed, balcony door wouldn't lock, very small space, only 2 pillows to the room (thankfully we took our own anyway), only 2 towels allocated, no tea towel for kitchen area. I had complained about the broken sofa bed the next morning to reception staff who advised they would pass on the message to the manager. I advised the reception staff that I wanted the sofa bed fixed and to be recompensed for the nightmare that was our weekend. The manager rudely advised that they had not fixed the sofa bed at the end of the day as that is not what he was advised, he actually implied that I was lying not his staff and the only recompense he could authorise was $30 per night refund on the sofa bed. We stayed for 2 nights. As yet I have not received the $60 refund and by the looks of it I doubt I will. I had originally booked a large studio which is definitely not what we got. We ended up with a small 1 bedroom unit. The stairs to the unit were slippery on a wet day which is a hazard. The parking was atrocious.

We were initially put into a room that hadn't been cleaned. Beds were unmade and cleaning gear on the floor. To their credit they upgraded our room but it initially didn't have an extra bed (there were 3 of us). Otherwise stay was ok.

Avoid at all cost!! Words cannot describe how terrible this place is, check in is at 3pm and we arrived just before then, upon entering there was no warm welcome and management straight out told us and another couple that no rooms were ready and we had to wait, “it is what it is” were the words. After that it all went downhill, room wasn’t what we had paid for, just been cleaned and water all over floor, room was tiny and outdated, air con had a bad smell when turned on. We decided to go to management after looking at our receipt when booked. Def wasn’t the room we paid for. They argued that it would create more problems for them rather than giving us what we paid for. After standing firm that it wasn’t good enough, they advised us that there was another room which to go to, upon entering the stench was disgusting, someone had just been here!! There was a pile of damaged goods at door, kitchen had rubbish on bench and overflowing bin, dirty dishes in sink and food in the fridge, I sent my partner upstairs as I thought someone was still in the apartment, bed was a mess and bathroom had toothbrush and urine still in toilet. Enough was enough, went back to reception to say what the hell is going on, only to be told oh maybe it hasn’t been cleaned yet, by this stage it’s after 4pm and checkout is 10am, we requested a refund as we were not staying in such filth only to be argued with again saying no refunds. Over run with cats living in makeshift construction materials. Disgusting

Moved 4 Times within the first hour. First time room hadn’t been serviced from previous occupants, next broken furniture and then stained linen was put on our beds. Sofa bed was not made up nor linen supplied even though we requested. House keeping were terribly rude. Management sorted our issues when we complained but were not apologetic nor were we offered any sort of compensation for having to move and unpack our belongings 4 times.

Wasn’t available for check in at 3pm like stated. Arrived at 4pm and had to wait extra half hour before being able to get in to room. Few things in the room damaged, a window was open and unable to be shut, fridge not clean and had expired milk capsules in fridge.

Room was nice but stove was dirty there was lolly wrappers on the floor. The night manager called my mobile and told me that he doesn’t care what we are doing in the room but we need to be quiet and I explained we were not making any noise we were eating food and he replied I don’t care just be quiet so i walked down to the office and no one answered feeling unsafe not understanding why the manager was so rude and the person next door started yelling because he must have heard me talking to to my mum about the weird call I ended up calling the police and was then informed by the police lady that it’s the worst place to ever stay in Jesmond that it’s full of people who have drugs and alcohol problems if I wasn’t as tired as I was I would have drove us home at midnight but it wasn’t safe so I got a little bit of sleep and at 7am I got up to shower and I had not hot water at all so packed up and left will never ever return to this hotel

It took booking a cot in online booking and 4 phone calls to the office to receive a cot at 8pm with no base or mattres that I was still unable to use. Also got about 2 hrs sleep due to a rough crew a fellows camped at my door

Check in is 3 at 4 our room wasnt ready and we were sitting outside the room in our car. I called reception at 4 and they advised our room had been changed but hadnt advised us and hadnt sent any codes so we could access the room.

It was difficult to drive to/ from being on a divided main road. Wet towel folded on bed on check in. Check in details arrive half hour before check in time & further email after check in. Noisy guests for hours after midnight - I phoned emergency after 2am as a child was also still up refusing to go to bed Spacious room with all facilities you need. Big bed. Good price. I’m choosing not to stay again. .

King executive room very comfortable. Pet friendly! Parking near room can be a challenge but great value for money motel!!

Major night time roadworks (6pm-7am) are being done and we were in an apartment right at the front of the property directly in front of all the noise. The listing needs to be updated to inform people of the disruptions

Interior was spotless and recently refurbished which was great Check in easy and use of keypad pin instead of physical keys was good. Lack of communication regarding the MAJOR roadworks and noise of drilling going on outside after 11am was pretty poor. Locals would obviously know about this, but nothing mentioned on website or during verbal booking confirmation call either.

Close to shopping centre and bus stop

I had a great stay at Jesmond Hotel in Newcastle. The check-in and check-out process was super easy with clear instructions and convenient code access—no hassle at all. The hotel was quiet, clean, and tidy, making it a comfortable place to relax. It’s also in a fantastic location with McDonald’s, supermarkets, and other shops all within walking distance. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient stay in Newcastle!

Excellent and close to John hunter Hospital

DO NOT STAY HERE! Appears to have a designated 'half way house' accommodation. I had my 2 young granddaughters with me and I felt unsafe. Parking allocated to the unit was taken and then needed to park at the back and walk through what appeared to be unsavoury accommodation. When asking, in person to reception, for parking space to be reserved for my return from my grandsons 2nd birthday party, the initial answer was NO, on pressing the importance due to having 2 small girls with me, the reply was 'you can take those traffic cones and place in a spot'!! In this day and age asking a guest to do a specific O H & S wary task... really. The 'homestyle 2 bedroom' accommodation left very little to be desired! It was furnished like it was awaiting an unsavoury guest. Could not sit on the lounge... It was disgusting.... the toilet had an unsafe window with broken louvre....a ball and battery were found under the raised vanity... Was that floor mopped??? The exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely dirty, as was the 'picture rail' in the kitchen area. PLEASE NOTE: if a 2 bedroom homestyle apartment is offered to you PLEASE BE AWARE that you are sleeping one car space away from an extremely busy road and traffic lights outside your door. At this stage if you are still reading the review you may ask why I booked.... Well the photos showed a villa set back off the road and furnishings and decor did not match at all to the reality.

Overall is good. Like the location and the surroundings.
