We booked here because of the pool, and when we checked in, they informed the pool was closed due to elec issue. It was a bit disappointing since it was our only night there. We did visit the pool the next morning and discovered that we didnt get supplied the pool towels that should have been in our room. So not sure if they didnt supply towels knowing the pool wasnt open. The 2nd lift also was not working that was right near our room for easy access to the pool so it was a bit of a walk to get down to the pool. Just seemed like a bit of maintenance is needed to keep everything up to date. Room was nice. Stayed in a room that had the separate lounge area. Bathroom was nice with double shower heads but toilet sat really close to the shower screen. Connected to the leagues club and free parking. I would stay here again if the pool was open as it added a little downer to the stay.

Conviently positioned for event at the stadium. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing that was a bit tricky was finding a car park at night - all of the under cover parking was full, we had to park on the street.

Good location. Very limited options for a Family of 5 (not flexible re rollaways etc) and extremely expensive for what it is. Rooms are very tight in the hallway area. Car parking is poor. The car park is very tight and oversubscribed, if you don't arrive early you will miss out on a car park. Room cleanliness is average. Only stay in desperation as Newcastle has such a shortage of family friendly accommodation.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Bed comfortable enough - I prefer my mattress and pillows on the firmer side and NO accommodation I had been to had this, so the bed is either not comfortable or comfortable enough to me. Wish there were free water bottles and toiletries in room. Gym - for a gym where you pay membership for, I was expecting a lot more equipments (e.g. trap bar, hyperextension)😅 and newer machines (the weight plates and big DBs were quite old). But you'd still be able to train a lot more than most hotel gyms - there are 2 squat racks, 1 smith machine, 2 cable machines, legs extension and curls machines. Can't remember whether there was a bench press, but you'd be able to do it at the squat rack if you wish.

The hotel is a part of Wests Leagues Club in Newcastle which has excellent dining and relaxation options. Check in was quick and painless and the car park was also easy to access. Bed was good. Whilst the property is in good condition it is starting to show its age a little bit. My room didn’t have any easily accessible power points which in this day and age is very noticeable when you have items that need charging. I also find the hallways somewhat noisy. You could hear every door slam and person walking past.

The executive is nice enough, it is fairly central in New Lambton. It is hard not to paint this property with the same brush as the Wests club next door. Don't expect the same friendly service in the attached club as the front desk. Our room, a standard queen had filthy carpets. When we arrived there was a room service tray on the floor near the lift that stayed there for over 24 hours. It is fine and cost effective but dont expect too much.

I don’t usually write reviews but this was by far one of the worst stays we have had. Our room had damp patches on the carpet and hotel staff tried to trivialise the issue. You could tell the room was barely cleaned - there was hair and orange peels left on the side of the bed. The car park was full and we were told to park down the street in a multi story car park. The hotel was clearly over capacity and did not have the appropriate staff and amenities to cover the situation. What makes it even more ridiculous is that they charged an arm and a leg for rooms without being able to provide adequate service. We weren’t the only ones feeling short changed - we saw a family that tried to check in but were told there was a plumbing issue in their room and they had to wait till they could sort out alternatives. There was another that was complaining about the dust and hair left in their room. Save yourself the chaos and don’t even consider this place as an option.

Very clean, comfortable with fantastic pool area/pools for families. Room was cleaned daily, a variety of places to eat, walking distance from shops, restaurants/pubs. Staff very helpful and friendly. Parking easy too.

Clean and comfortable. TV not working but that was apparently because of issues from a storm. Disturbed by noisy guests but that can happen anywhere. Very convenient location. Good food in adjoining club. Very friendly staff.

Enjoyed our 2 nights. Room was clean, quiet, spacious and well appointed. Buffet breakfast spectacular overlooking the pool and outside seating areas. The pool was closed for maintenance which was a shame as would have used it, however ee did receive notification of tbis prior.

I had booked for a room for 4 people , and I was given room smaller that a shoebox, and no wider than one. In order for me to utilize the cupboards and wardrobe, I had to stand in the doorway of the bathroom for the doors to open up. It was awful! And having two adults and two kids, made it worse. I would not stay here again.

The aircon in the room did not get cold, we rang reception and were told she wasn’t even sure how the aircon worked so could not help us. The fridge in the room did not work at all. The wifi was not strong enough to stream a movie. Housekeeping opened the door without knocking whilst there was a do not disturb sign on the door and then put a note under the door saying they noticed the do not disturb sign.

The first room offered was quite dark as was on the road side of the property amongst many trees and on the ground floor. We were then offered a room on the third floor as it gained more natural light. Room was a little tired but clean. Great dining options being part of Wests. Staff helpful and friendly. Will stay again

Nice hotel, but it lacks power options. They need to invest in an executive power pack that allows multiple devices to be plugged into both power outlets and USB outlets. Rooms are nice and spacious, but walls can be a little thin. Staff were excellent and friendly.

Layout of room had too many inbuilt cabinets which makes the room narrow and is unsuitable for a night stay. Had a $100 pre authorisation and hopefully they revert back. Still waiting. Bed was comfy, room was clean, spacious, had a balcony. Pool was under maintenance.

Double glazed windows kept the room quiet. The comfortable bed was fitted with a proper top sheet which I really liked. Seems like most places no longer do that! The room had 2 small TV screens. One for the bed area and the other one in the area where the sofa was situated

It’s always been one of our go to places to stay but it’s starting to fall behind the competition in that price point. Light not working and balcony access doors need some maintenance The location is great and the food options are very good and affordable.

A big tick to the reception and housekeeping staff, who are always welcoming and helpful and so good at the jobs they do. We could not have been looked after better, There are several room types to choose from. This time we chose a pool view balcony which was quiet, spacious and comfortably furnished. It had a frig, safe, an electric kettle, generous supplies of coffee, tea, etc, cups and glasses but no plates, eating utensils or microwave. Reception operates 24/7. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast at extra cost and meals are available at the adjoining Leagues Club from 10am till 8pm in the family friendly bistro and speciality restaurants. A snack bar operates till after midnight.

Our stay at the Executive was excellent. The best part of our stay was the friendliness and great service from the staff. From entering the lobby, to the pool, gym, club and in the morning the staff were happy, friendly and kind. It makes all the difference when managing long days travelling between places. Thank you

The pool staff was amazing! I didn’t get the name of our man with glorious moustache but whatever you're paying him, give him a raise. He was super fast with our orders, and when the kitchen didn't do our order he got it sorted quick.

they were very accommodating when I told reception my spouse has difficulty walking - our room was close to the lift and easy access to breakfast cafe/buffet. lovely and friendly reception staff and throughout the entire club

Stayed here to go & watch the Knights play the Dolphins with easy walk to the field. Accommodation was fine. Clean large room Pool looked lovely. Easy access to the club to get a meal prior to the game. No noise or issues from the club & parking was easy under the accommodation. I have booked again for our next game there that we have availability to go and watch.

Even though the weather was atrocious poured from the minute we got there to after we left there was still plenty to do around the hotel and local Westfields. My kids still swam regardless of the weather. The pool and spa was a big winner. The Chophouse grill was stand out. We will definitely be back there again.

Room really clean, housekeeping staff do a great job. Pool lovely, well kept. Issue with renovations in room above us that nobody told us about it at check in, d/w reception, apologies made, compensation given, just not what we'd expect, especially given good service on numerous previous visits. Coffee machine desperately needed at breakfast. You can buy barista coffee but most buffets of that price point would at least include a machine to make coffee rather than filter coffee. Emerald Gardens great Chinese restaurant, really enjoyed it.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Lovely place to stay with the family. Looks good even in the rain. Different temps for the pools to keep everyone happy. Fast check in and check out. Family friendly, good location. Only recommendation is - Book ahead at the restaurant if you can as we missed out on the Steakhouse.
