I love the location, it is in the most popular block of Old Town. Parking is a little bit trouble, but manageable.

Great location. Enjoyed having a little kitchenette to use. The property also a nice little courtyard area. Most amenities were excellent (including quality soap/shampoo products); main downside was lack of secure luggage storage for those hours after checkout & before it’s time to head to the airport.

Fancy recently remodeled modern design but some common pains of an old building. Door console to enter the property was broken. Initial room's bed was broken and there's no onsite maintenance. After some prodding they moved me to another room. Being right in downtown is convenient but don't bring a car. Parking rates locally are awful.

This is a really fun location right on King street. Highly recommend. The room is like an efficiency apartment, very cool. We just used the fridge but there is cookware and glass cups. It is a homey kind of feel. We used the dishes and used the sink for daily washing. This apartment is right in the middle of a busy street. So it is pretty lively until after midnight. Just know that going in. I loved it, some may not. OK Sonder the booking experience. I have read reddit reviews. This is a model where there is no front desk. So, it is very critical that you read the check in e-mail very carefully. Do your check in as soon as you book your room. I cannot stress this enough. check in requires uploads and verifications. Once complete you will get a conformation e-mail. Two days prior to our visit we received our door codes. For us everything went very smoothly. Love the location, super fun town center. Very easy to the National Mall - 15 minutes MAX. We did 4 museums in 3 days and still had time to got out in the evening on King street. Murphy Irish pub is basically right next door. Super fun with live music great Irish pub fare and super convienent. I parked at 418 Cameron St - Tavern Sq. Overnight parking - $11 during the week, $5 on the weekend.

This Sonder location has a lot of work that needs to be done. Paint was chipping off the ceiling and the window seals. There were no hand or face towels. I had to go over to the Ross to purchase so faced so I can wash my face and body. The television streaming apps did not work. And because the building is so old the smell. There really needs to be some really deep cleaning done. And probably the worst of it all is that all of the linen were in totes Along the walls in the hallway. It was just not a well kept space. The perks however, are that the community is walkable. You can get good dining options and shopping options and it’s not far From a waterway that has other dining options, as well.

I had no problems with this being a self service property. I felt safe at all times and the space was clean and stylish. The location and price were excellent. The public areas on the upper floors could use a little refresh (carpet and paint) and the room could have used a bath mat and a hand towel but those are my only quibbles. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for accessing DC. Near public transit and plenty of shops around for food and other goods. Room was clean and the heater worked well. Nice bathroom. I wasn’t too bothered by the urban noise although my stay was during the week not the weekend. Typical sounds for a city. Bed was comfortable. Would stay here again!

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Location was fabulous and I loved being able to check in and out remotely and independently. There were areas that seemed simple to make better in the room - for example, nowhere to put my toiletries in the shower, no toilet seat cover, very limited space to hang anything, I had to dig under the bed to find a way to plug in my phone, the area rug was all sideways and crooked which felt unkempt. The room and building were very old which I guess is to be expected in this area. Room felt pretty dark. There is a full kitchenette yet nowhere to sit - I could bake a cake but would need to sit on the bed to eat it! It was quite noisy between the airplanes flying low overhead, the other guest rooms water pipes, and the in room rattly hvac but they did leave earplugs which was thoughtful. All in all it got the job done but I think I expected something a little brighter and fresher.

Cute and comfortable room, easy to get in, nice kitchen. The hvac is very loud with the vent over the bed blasting all night. The hallway strongly smelled like a sewer, luckily that didn’t permeate into the room.

Great place for a solo or couple. The studio was very clean and very comfortable. The bed was great. I appreciated the community from the property prior to my arrival. Entrance to the unit was very easy. I will happily book here again.

We had 205, the one bedroom. It was narrow but plenty of room, clean and comfortable. Fantastic location in the heart of old town. Everything walkable.

We loved our stay here. It is right on King Street. It is about a 15 minute walk from the Amtrak station. We entered the building with a code and used the same one for our room. The room was big. There is a kitchen with a table for two. There is a dishwasher, sink, fridge, microwave and stove. There is also a sink. The bathroom is the latest style and a heated floor. Our bed was comfortable and looked out over the courtyard.

Nice place, but much smaller than pictures portray. Mushy foam bed. One small chair about 12 inches off the floor. No comfortable seating. Range hood sticks out so far, be careful not to hit your head. If you’re 6 foot tall, avoid it. Can’t beat the great location

Great stay, loved the room (301).The one thing I would suggest is replacing the full-length mirror near the kitchenette with a drop-down table and have a couple of small/folding chairs instead of the single large chair. That would make the space more workable of couples. Otherwise, awesome stay, would do it again!

Well equipped

Nice building and room was comfortable except for the handicapped shower and single pane windows. The shower was relatively small and water of course went well out onto the bathroom floor. The windows are so thin, you basically hear everything on King Street. Maybe other rooms off King are quieter but I’d never stay in room 400 again. Hard to relax when you hear all the street noise and the tequila bar patrons across the street.

Everything great except the windows are leaking and quite cold with bed right next to it.

Liked cleanliness, modern feel, in the middle of alot of shopping and dining, great air conditioning Disliked no dresser to store clothes, bed is a glorified peice of foam on the floor basically, coffee table too large for space, bar sink in kitchen, no oven

Overall this was a nice hotel. We had a studio. The bathroom felt oddly conspicuous, just frosted glass walls separating that part of the room from the rest, but otherwise it was nice. It did feel a little disconcerting being fully self-service but we knew that was the arrangement when we reserved the room so I can't really complain about that. All in all, it was a very clean, adequate space at a good price. Would stay there again.

We liked the location, shopping, restaurants, public transportation. Kitchen area was great. Bathroom was a great size. Bathroom door was a slider but didn’t always stay shut.

I thought that I had pre-registered my details on the Sonder app. I hadn't completed it fully before my arrival, as a condequence, I never received the email with access codes to get into the building and with no reception or staff on site that was an issue! I managed to resolve this after about an hour and was pleasantly surprised by the appartment, which was spacious and clean, perfect for a couple, however it would start to feel quite cosy for 4 adults. Great location for shops restuarants and bars. Would I stay there again - yes!

The keypad access was broken. Hadvto call a service center to get in the building, twice. Coffee pot broken, plumbing jacked up.

Checkin was easy on the app. The room was comfortable. Long halway but that was due to the shape of the nice older building in Old Town

No water pressure in bathroom sink. Contacted Sonder several times, nothing done.

We went during spring break. We had not stayed at a property like this before but we were pleasantly surprised. Check in was seamless. You could tell people were about but the halls and rooms were quiet. A white noise machine and earbuds were provided since it is in a busy area -- we didn't need them) When you step outside, King street is at your feet with loads of options. Kitchenette was great for snacks and light breakfast (we mostly made use of the mini fridge and glassware) Great location and value. Would book again.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. There were no lights in the room and no staff available for nearly 72 hours from the time I reported it to fix the issue. I was lied to every time I spoke to the customer service through the required app, who assured me the lights would be fixed, only for nobody to ever show up. I will never stay at another Sonder location, so the $50 Sonder credit per day without power they offered to resolve the issue does nothing for me. I have been an excellent customer at Expedia, and I never have had occasion to complain, but this is unacceptable.

Great stay. Enjoying being on King St. in Alexandria - close to many restaurants and free trolley tide to DC Metro.

Good location

I really liked the keyless code for entry to the building and my unit. The building was an older building with lots of character, but I felt safe and the food options were amazing!

Great location - near restaurants, shopping, and tourist activities. Easy to check in. Room was excellent. Towels were thin, but that is my only negative! I'd stay here again or at any of the other Sonders.
