We had a great time as a family of 5 in the resort for ten nights. There is plenty to do with the kids including aqua aerobics, Zumba, volleyball, tennis, mini golf, belly dancing and a wide choice of swimming pools and water slides (we counted 11 in total). Drinks and refreshments were easy to reach and the main restaurant offers great variety and options. We also used the kids club and went to the kids disco at night which is very popular with young ones. Big thanks to Gazza and Kimo for all the entertainment, Fayza and her colleague for the massage and Mostafa for the great service at the Fellucca restaurant. And thanks to the room service team for the special towel arrangements in the shape of a birthday cake for our son’s 10th birthday! The only thing we missed was a good cup of coffee. There was not a decent cup of tea or coffee anywhere to help caffeine-fuelled parents!! An easy win if the resort could fix that. Strong recommendation to make sure you bring enough sun cream. We ran out and bought a local cream which although it stopped us burning, it gave us a rash and the kids’ skin was stinging. We ended up spending a lot for a European brand. We really had a good time.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, immaculately kept. House keeping is great, left our room spotless everytime, Reception staff are good however most questions or asks were met with a flat no for us 😬 Room was nice, spacious and clean with a bunk for the kids and balcony. My biggest gripe with the room was the mission it was to get anywhere - three flights of stairs (no lifts) and a long walk from the main area restaurants and everything else. I wish we had asked to move rooms but we felt embarrassed to ask and also scared after receiving flat nos for other requests 😬 Pools - are nice however the biggest downside of our trip - not heated as they claim! The pool with the slides is slightly warmer than the pool right next to it however still so cold which was not fun for the kids. Really difficult to get an a la carte restaurant booking and unsure when they open for bookings but seemed to be full everytime we tried. Buffet restaurant good selection of food. Animation team are great and beach is lovely. Service for drinks at pools and restaurants is hit and miss

La chambre était un peu petite mais avait 5 couchages. le balcon donnant coté nord est était très agréable. Problème de la porte de la douche non hermétique qui provoquait une petite inondation de la Salle de bains... mais au moins c'était un séjour "les pieds dans l'eau"!!! Le personnel est très gentil, courtois, d'une disponibilité sans faille. les maitres nageurs très compétents et en permanence d'une grande vigilance. le soleil est magnifique agrémenté d'un vent qui rafraîchit l'atmosphère. L'aquapark fait la joie des petits et des grands! Donc un séjour merveilleux pour les yeux et le repos Merci au Sunrise Makadi

Staff at the reception are very helpful and responsive. Mohamed and Moataz at the reception are amazing. What I didn’t like; 1- food either contaminated or is not kept in a good refrigeration especially with recurrent power outage as most of us got sick from it, my son vomited/ had diarrhea on the last day, my mom had diarrhea from day 1, myself had diarrhea on the last day. 2- Water park was ok , however, it is very slippery around the pool and on the stairs to climb the slides, operating hours is so limited to 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Life guards shall be more attentive to slide riders as there are occasions where 2 people go on same slide which is prohibited or going back to back which increase risk of injuries. DJ was not working for the first 3 days around water park and pool attached to it, 3- employees at the main restaurant feel entitled to tips, initially they were bringing drinks, picking up empty plates then on the second day they didn’t care much, no one care about your presence if you don’t tip them and if you ask for anything, they make you feel uncomfortable by their attitude/ non verbal communication, Unfortunately i don’t think I gonna come back again to this resort,

My favourite thing about this hotel was the beach. Not the most picturesque, but had comfy padded sunbeds (organised in groups with shades and screens), gentle sandy slope in the sea, good snorkelling right off the beach and a camel giving rides for children. The kids loved the water slides and the pools were well maintained and life-guarded. The hotel was generally spotlessly clean and gardens well kept. Our room in the family block near the slide pool was plenty big enough for 4, and our kids really appreciated having full size bunk beds rather than sharing a sofa bed, but the fittings were a little tired and the shower screen in the bathroom leaked. The food was above average for this type of hotel but not outstanding. The beer, wine and spirits were fine but the cocktail menu was a bit of a letdown. The activities were variable in quality. Lots of enthusiasm from the Animation team but some of the sports equipment was poor or broken, particularly the archery and mini golf. The evening entertainment shows were a little below par.

Hotel : Awesome Service: Amazing Food : Very nice View : Amazing Hotel is very good very clean and swimming pools was so clean. Very friendly staff and helpful. I enjoyed my time with my family. I just advise: Please work on your wifi its soooooo much bad. And if you can have straws with bend at the top so much helpful for parents with small kids because they can use it easily then the one you have right now in Hote. For Familie I recommend it very strongly. Thanm you so much

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, in dem konstant Renovierungs-/ Sanierungsarbeiten zu jeder Tages und Nachtzeit durchgeführt wurden. Wir waren mit mehreren Familien in unterschiedlichen Gebäuden übers gesamte Gelände verteilt untergebracht. Zimmerzustände bzgl. Modernisierungsstand und Sauberkeit waren sehr unterschiedlich, Lärm oder Geruchsbelästigung haben jedoch während des 7 Tage Aufenthalts alle mindestens einmal gehabt. Servicepersonal sehr bemüht, jedoch sichtlich überfordert mit hoher Gästeanzahl, insbesondere zu den Stoßzeiten zum Essen. Themenrestaurants teils schlecht klimatisiert und mittelmäßiger Essensqualität.

Had a great two weeks here with my wife to celebrate our birthdays. Special mentions for Lily and Shika from the Animation team. They were awesome. Ahmed "Freddie" from Victoria Pub for his hospitality. Also The staff and Chef in Felucca Seafood restaurant were amazing. Food in a la cartes was tremendous. Our room was cleaned and restocked by Rabea who was superb. All the staff from the Buffet were amazing, too many to name individually but couldn't do enough for us. Will visit again. Great Hotel. Weite Wege ab Gebäude 31,34,35,37 Mittagessen zu eintönig, jeden Tag das selbe essen, Bürger Pommes finde ich nicht mehr zeitgemäß und könnte man gesunder gestalten. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem ! Zimmer schön gestaltet, leichte Schimmelflecken in der Dusche, Lichtschalter mit Wackelkontakt, Zimmertüren Eingang aus Holz, leicht verzogen, dadurch sehr laut beim öffnen und schließen. Zimmer hellhörig.

Not the most picturesque, but had comfy padded sunbeds (organised in groups with shades and screens), gentle sandy slope in the sea, good snorkelling right off the beach and a camel giving rides for children. Our room in the family block near the slide pool was plenty big enough for 4, and our kids really appreciated having full size bunk beds rather than sharing a sofa bed, but the fittings were a little tired and the shower screen in the bathroom leaked. The food was above average for this type of hotel but not outstanding. The beer, wine and spirits were fine but the cocktail menu was a bit of a letdown. The activities were variable in quality. Hotel : Awesome Service: Amazing Food : Very nice View : Amazing Hotel is very good very clean and swimming pools was so clean. Very friendly staff and helpful. I enjoyed my time with my family. I just advise: Please work on your wifi its soooooo much bad. And if you can have straws with bend at the top so much helpful for parents with small kids because they can use it easily then the one you have right now in Hote. The hotel grounds are beautiful, immaculately kept. House keeping is great, left our room spotless everytime, Reception staff are good however most questions or asks were met with a flat no for us 😬 Room was nice, spacious and clean with a bunk for the kids and balcony. La chambre était un peu petite mais avait 5 couchages. le balcon donnant coté nord est était très agréable. Problème de la porte de la douche non hermétique qui provoquait une petite inondation de la Salle de bains... mais au moins c'était un séjour "les pieds dans l'eau"!!! Le personnel est très gentil, courtois, d'une disponibilité sans faille. les maitres nageurs très compétents et en permanence d'une grande vigilance. le soleil est magnifique agrémenté d'un vent qui rafraîchit l'atmosphère. L'aquapark fait la joie des petits et des grands! Donc un séjour merveilleux pour les yeux et le repos Merci au Sunrise Makadi

Weite Wege ab Gebäude 31,34,35,37 Mittagessen zu eintönig, jeden Tag das selbe essen, Bürger Pommes finde ich nicht mehr zeitgemäß und könnte man gesunder gestalten. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem ! Zimmer schön gestaltet, leichte Schimmelflecken in der Dusche, Lichtschalter mit Wackelkontakt, Zimmertüren Eingang aus Holz, leicht verzogen, dadurch sehr laut beim öffnen und schließen. Zimmer hellhörig.

Ottima esperienza, ero già stata in una struttura sunrise e anche questa mantiene gli standard della precedente in cui ero stata. Cibo buono e ampia varietà, soprattutto per la possibilità di prenotare i vari ristoranti alla carta per cena inclusi. Unica nota negativa riguarda la camera, in primo luogo ci hanno dato una camera rientrate in quelle che hanno la possibilità di essere rese camere comunicanti, ciò significa che una doppia porta ci divideva dalla camera adiacente e la presenza di questa doppia porta faceva sì che fosse possibile sentire ogni movimento dei vicini di stanza, persino le loro sveglie! Altro aspetto riguardante l’acustica é l’eccessivo rumore dell’aria condizionata di vecchissima generazione, praticamente impossibile dormire con l’aria accesa anche se impostata in modalità sonno o deumidificatore.

Had a great two weeks here with my wife to celebrate our birthdays. Special mentions for Lily and Shika from the Animation team. They were awesome. Ahmed "Freddie" from Victoria Pub for his hospitality. Also The staff and Chef in Felucca Seafood restaurant were amazing. Food in a la cartes was tremendous. Our room was cleaned and restocked by Rabea who was superb. All the staff from the Buffet were amazing, too many to name individually but couldn't do enough for us. Will visit again. Great Hotel. Staff at the reception are very helpful and responsive. Mohamed and Moataz at the reception are amazing. What I didn’t like; 1- food either contaminated or is not kept in a good refrigeration especially with recurrent power outage as most of us got sick from it, my son vomited/ had diarrhea on the last day, my mom had diarrhea from day 1, myself had diarrhea on the last day. 2- Water park was ok , however, it is very slippery around the pool and on the stairs to climb the slides, operating hours is so limited to 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Life guards shall be more attentive to slide riders as there are occasions where 2 people go on same slide which is prohibited or going back to back which increase risk of injuries. DJ was not working for the first 3 days around water park and pool attached to it, 3- employees at the main restaurant feel entitled to tips, initially they were bringing drinks, picking up empty plates then on the second day they didn’t care much, no one care about your presence if you don’t tip them and if you ask for anything, they make you feel uncomfortable by their attitude/ non verbal communication, Unfortunately i don’t think I gonna come back again to this resort,

Excellent séjour. Hôtel sublime avec personnel très sympathique. Mention spéciale pour les massages. Les restaurants à thèmes sont très bien et facile d'accès. La plage est exceptionnelle avec coraux, raies, tortues et une multitude de poissons! Hôtel plein mais on ne s'en aperçoit pas du tout. On espère y revenir un jour!

We walked two times with my wife all the beaches of Makadi bay. Everytime we were so happy to come back to our beach and realised that it has the best beach. No wind, nice coral reefs, sunbeds and umbrella. Overall very good hotel.

Zeer groot resort. Geen kans om je te vervelen met een veelvoud aan activiteiten (al dan niet gratis of gepromoot door de lokale aanbieders), bars, restaurants, zwembaden, ... Het resort beschikt ook over een klein winkelcentrum (souvenirs en alles-wat-je-thuis-vergeten-bent) en apotheek. Het enige nadeel is de ligging. Weliswaar omringd door andere resorts maar wel in the middle of nowhere en geen dorpje/stadje in de nabijheid. Dit is m.i. ook geen bestemming voor de occasionele snorkelaar daar er geen rif vlak voor het hotel is. Ook dat vraagt dus een verplaatsing. Hou je echter van het leven en de ambiance rond de zwembaden of aan het strand dan is dit een prima bestemming.

Het resort beschikt ook over een klein winkelcentrum (souvenirs en alles-wat-je-thuis-vergeten-bent) en apotheek. Het enige nadeel is de ligging. My favourite thing about this hotel was the beach. Not the most picturesque, but had comfy padded sunbeds (organised in groups with shades and screens), gentle sandy slope in the sea, good snorkelling right off the beach and a camel giving rides for children. The kids loved the water slides and the pools were well maintained and life-guarded. The hotel was generally spotlessly clean and gardens well kept. Our room in the family block near the slide pool was plenty big enough for 4, and our kids really appreciated having full size bunk beds rather than sharing a sofa bed, but the fittings were a little tired and the shower screen in the bathroom leaked. The food was above average for this type of hotel but not outstanding. The beer, wine and spirits were fine but the cocktail menu was a bit of a letdown. The activities were variable in quality. Lots of enthusiasm from the Animation team but some of the sports equipment was poor or broken, particularly the archery and mini golf. The evening entertainment shows were a little below par.

Excellent séjour. Hôtel sublime avec personnel très sympathique. Mention spéciale pour Jasmine et Dora pour les massages. Les restaurants à thèmes sont très bien et facile d'accès. We had a great time as a family of 5 in the resort for ten nights. There is plenty to do with the kids including aqua aerobics, Zumba, volleyball, tennis, mini golf, belly dancing and a wide choice of swimming pools and water slides (we counted 11 in total). Drinks and refreshments were easy to reach and the main restaurant offers great variety and options. We also used the kids club and went to the kids disco at night which is very popular with young ones. Big thanks to Gazza and Kimo for all the entertainment, Fayza and her colleague for the massage and Mostafa for the great service at the Fellucca restaurant. And thanks to the room service team for the special towel arrangements in the shape of a birthday cake for our son’s 10th birthday! The only thing we missed was a good cup of coffee. There was not a decent cup of tea or coffee anywhere to help caffeine-fuelled parents!! An easy win if the resort could fix that. Strong recommendation to make sure you bring enough sun cream. We ran out and bought a local cream which although it stopped us burning, it gave us a rash and the kids’ skin was stinging. We ended up spending a lot for a European brand. We really had a good time.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, immaculately kept. House keeping is great, left our room spotless everytime, Reception staff are good however most questions or asks were met with a flat no for us 😬 Room was nice, spacious and clean with a bunk for the kids and balcony. My biggest gripe with the room was the mission it was to get anywhere - three flights of stairs (no lifts) and a long walk from the main area restaurants and everything else. I wish we had asked to move rooms but we felt embarrassed to ask and also scared after receiving flat nos for other requests 😬 Pools - are nice however the biggest downside of our trip - not heated as they claim! The pool with the slides is slightly warmer than the pool right next to it however still so cold which was not fun for the kids. Really difficult to get an a la carte restaurant booking and unsure when they open for bookings but seemed to be full everytime we tried. Buffet restaurant good selection of food. Staff at the reception are very helpful and responsive. Mohamed and Moataz at the reception are amazing. What I didn’t like; 1- food either contaminated or is not kept in a good refrigeration especially with recurrent power outage as most of us got sick from it, my son vomited/ had diarrhea on the last day, my mom had diarrhea from day 1, myself had diarrhea on the last day. 2- Water park was ok , however, it is very slippery around the pool and on the stairs to climb the slides, operating hours is so limited to 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Life guards shall be more attentive to slide riders as there are occasions where 2 people go on same slide which is prohibited or going back to back which increase risk of injuries. DJ was not working for the first 3 days around water park and pool attached to it, 3- employees at the main restaurant feel entitled to tips, initially they were bringing drinks, picking up empty plates then on the second day they didn’t care much, no one care about your presence if you don’t tip them and if you ask for anything, they make you feel uncomfortable by their attitude/ non verbal communication, Unfortunately i don’t think I gonna come back again to this resort,

I just advise: Please work on your wifi its soooooo much bad. And if you can have straws with bend at the top so much helpful for parents with small kids because they can use it easily then the one you have right now in Hote. Ottima esperienza, ero già stata in una struttura sunrise e anche questa mantiene gli standard della precedente in cui ero stata. Cibo buono e ampia varietà, soprattutto per la possibilità di prenotare i vari ristoranti alla carta per cena inclusi. Unica nota negativa riguarda la camera, in primo luogo ci hanno dato una camera rientrate in quelle che hanno la possibilità di essere rese camere comunicanti, ciò significa che una doppia porta ci divideva dalla camera adiacente e la presenza di questa doppia porta faceva sì che fosse possibile sentire ogni movimento dei vicini di stanza, persino le loro sveglie! Altro aspetto riguardante l’acustica é l’eccessivo rumore dell’aria condizionata di vecchissima generazione, praticamente impossibile dormire con l’aria accesa anche se impostata in modalità sonno o deumidificatore.

The only negative I would say is about the alcohol, although plenty of it, you're not getting proper cocktails it is all syrup based and no matter what you order from a beer, wine G&T, cocktail, it is all served in the same plastic cup/glass so think this could be improved on, other than that amazing place.
