We stayed in a luxury suite which was well worth the extra expense, though not a great deal for those from the Global North. Service was excellent in the restaurants and front desk with a centralised tipping system that avoided moments of awkwardness. Breakfasts were amazing with a mixture of Eastern and Western dishes, some cooked order if required. Both of the restaurants were good wit the Garden Terrace offering a wider choice for those wanting a break from Indian cuisine. The service in both was pleasant and attentive. The pool was a welcome facility, prettily and quiet. In fact the garden setting and sense of space made a welcome relief from the bustle, chaos and attraction of Delhi. Perhaps the only minor negative feature was that the hotel was quite a distance from many of the major must-see sites.

Excellent stays. We split up our time in India and Nepal and used Maiden’s as our home base. We left unneeded luggage at the hotel for different legs of our trip. We were warmly welcomed “home” each of the three stays. Our adult children had their own suite and loved the amenities. The pool area is wonderful, with peacocks, parakeets and dozens of other kinds of birds. Silky water to soothe sore feet and cool off comfortably after a day of touristing.

The staff are swift and keen to please. Service was fast, the hotel is lovely and the pool is stunning. The rooms are well air conditioned, clean and fresh. Internet strength depends where you are in the hotel, but wasn’t a problem. TV channels were global- so lots of choice. Hotel is old architecture, an oasis amidst the noise of Delhi. The location is good for Chandani Chowk, I got Ubers or hailed a local Rickshaw easily. The Manager Prachi was very professional and always visible and on hand helping guests. Will return with family.

What a treat ! my first stay in India was the maidens hotel and I couldn't be happier with the hotel , the staff, the architecture and the everything this gorgeous hotel has to offer. First, the architecture is stunning. The pool and the garden are so beautiful and well maintained. It 'is quiet and clean and the staff are so nice. Once you are inside the maidens , you will be transported to another era , another time . while it is noisy, and dirty outside ( it is Delhi !! ) once you are inside, you are on a bubble of serenity, quitness and peace.

I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Excellent service - all staff friendly and welcoming. Everywhere spotless. Beautiful pool. Lovely oasis in the city - quiet, surrounded by nature. Great food and drink. Amazing attention to detail and very quick room service.

Overall a great 2-night stay. It’s a lovely, quiet, oasis in a crazy city. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. But there are a few areas which could be improved. Wi-Fi is very poor. It’s 2023 - hotels of this calibre should not be punishing guests with throttled speed unless they pay for Wi-Fi. This was a thing maybe 15 years ago but it was a surprise to find it still happening here. Buffet breakfast was excellent overall but: Multigrain bread stale both mornings Cheese cut so thinly it was totally shrivelled No one offered us eggs at our first breakfast Dinner in the Curzon Room was great. Calvary Bar was a bit sad. Bland decor/lighting and zero atmosphere. Felt more like a railway waiting room than a bar in a 5-star hotel. Room: Aircon very noisy Bath water not so hot on first night Nescafé and powdered milk is a bit of a poor offering Pool is fantastic. Great size and perfect temperature, but: No Cointreau for cocktails (I wanted a margarita) Drinks service took forever on first day Room service got our order wrong. We were sent veg noodles and chicken with ginger & scallion. We actually ordered chicken noodles and shrimp with ginger & scallion. However, the food was delicious and we were hungry so we didn’t say anything at the time. One final note - I spent half an hour completing an online questionnaire for the hotel but it wouldn’t let me submit it at the end so all the information was lost.

I am a Californian, but an Anglophile at heart. This hotel is reminiscent of the British Raj times and Downton Abbey. There are many photos in the hotel showcasing its history of monarchs and their retinue that have graced the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The food in both the restaurants were great and the wait staff did an amazing job Overall a great and unique experience.

We had a remarkable stay! The staff went above and beyond every single day and we are truly grateful for the experience. The groundskeepers do an amazing job and the outdoor space is incredible. The room was a little musty and a bit outdated decor-wise, but the hotel, grounds, and pool more than made up for it. We had a wonderful stay and we chose the perfect hotel in Delhi!!!!

The room was spotlessly clean from the moment we arrived – fresh linens, perfect bathroom, no dust anywhere, and everything smelling nice and new. The staff is simply fantastic! Every single person we met was genuinely friendly, smiling and super welcoming. What really sets this place apart is how incredibly helpful they are. No matter what little (or bigger) issue/question we had, they always came up with practical solutions right away – nothing was ever “too much trouble” It really feels like they care about their guests and want you to have the best possible stay. We will definitely be back – and we’ll be recommending this hotel to everyone! Thank you for an absolutely lovely stay! 🙏

A wonderful, historic hotel. Built in 1903 and situated in the Civil Lines area of Delhi, this is definitely a place you should consider. It goes without saying that the public areas, grounds and rooms are spot-on, well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The real selling point here though is the service. I can honestly say that the staff here, from the General Manager down, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my luggage was mislaid by the airline and I was without it for 2 days. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive and provided me with essentials and even clothing as well as ordering a cab to take me to a local shopping centre to purchase a couple of items. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind and I was frequently greeted by name around the hotel. Outstanding and highly recommended hotel in a nice, green area away from the hustle and bustle and with a number of bars and dining options within a 5 minute walk – as well as the Civil Lines Metro station which will connect you with anywhere in the city.

On positive side, nice historical building with a nice swimming pool in a parc quite calm im this very busy part of the city, near to red fort and old delhi On negative note: almost no bedroom with windows… as accesible by patio. Really small bar and restaurant. A bit expensive for what it is

Really nice hotel. It felt like a fortress, safe and closed off to the noise and chaos of the city. The staff is really nice and helpful. Hotel is kept clean and the rooms are nice and spacious. Really liked the wooden floors. Nothing icks me the most than hotels with carpet so i’m glad they don’t have that here. The restaurant options inside the hotel are great with great staff, Savila was amazing.

The staff at as very very attentive and helpful. The room was very large and well set up . The hotel was clearly once a grand British style hotel that is gently worn but a very pleasant oasis in Delhi .

Stunning hotel with big clean rooms. The common areas are slightly dowdy but the rooms are gorgeous. The food was tasty and staff are very friendly. It’s a little out of the main part of Delhi which is actually a bonus. The only issue I had was the wifi was terrible. There is a wifi you can pay for that is supposed to be better but I would have hoped that regular wifi was at least manageable. My phone was faster than their wifi. Needs addressing.

Overall a great 2-night stay. It’s a lovely, quiet, oasis in a crazy city. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. But there are a few areas which could be improved. Wi-Fi is very poor. It’s 2023 - hotels of this calibre should not be punishing guests with throttled speed unless they pay for Wi-Fi. This was a thing maybe 15 years ago but it was a surprise to find it still happening here. Buffet breakfast was excellent overall but: Multigrain bread stale both mornings Cheese cut so thinly it was totally shrivelled No one offered us eggs at our first breakfast Dinner in the Curzon Room was great. Calvary Bar was a bit sad. Bland decor/lighting and zero atmosphere. Felt more like a railway waiting room than a bar in a 5-star hotel. Room: Aircon very noisy Bath water not so hot on first night Nescafé and powdered milk is a bit of a poor offering Pool is fantastic. Great size and perfect temperature, but: No Cointreau for cocktails (I wanted a margarita) Drinks service took forever on first day Room service got our order wrong. We were sent veg noodles and chicken with ginger & scallion. We actually ordered chicken noodles and shrimp with ginger & scallion. However, the food was delicious and we were hungry so we didn’t say anything at the time. One final note - I spent half an hour completing an online questionnaire for the hotel but it wouldn’t let me submit it at the end so all the information was lost.

We stayed in a luxury suite which was well worth the extra expense, though not a great deal for those from the Global North. Service was excellent in the restaurants and front desk with a centralised tipping system that avoided moments of awkwardness. Breakfasts were amazing with a mixture of Eastern and Western dishes, some cooked order if required. Both of the restaurants were good wit the Garden Terrace offering a wider choice for those wanting a break from Indian cuisine. The service in both was pleasant and attentive. The pool was a welcome facility, prettily and quiet. In fact the garden setting and sense of space made a welcome relief from the bustle, chaos and attraction of Delhi. Perhaps the only minor negative feature was that the hotel was quite a distance from many of the major must-see sites.

The hotel was spotless, and the staff were absolutely outstanding, professional, attentive, and truly went above and beyond. When heavy rain unexpectedly caused a leak in our ceiling, they handled the situation incredibly well, relocating us to a similar room within minutes. We also had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and the food was genuinely delicious. A wonderful experience overall. Tip: Might not be a perfect location in Delhi but it doesn’t really matter as you primarily want to go by car / Uber / Taxi around Delhi

A beautiful hotel. The staff are phenomenal, know you by name, and staff I’ve never spoken to knew of my allergy and took care to cater around it. We were upgraded on arrival (no reason given, maybe because it was Republic day, maybe because it was my birthday). The suites are fantastic - spacious, comfortable beds, and the housekeeper left us a gift of a coin purse (which I just now realise we left behind!). We had a series of unfortunate events while here, which the staff handled excellently. We had a leak in our room after the first night (AC issue). Immediately fixed and sincere apologies. Unfortunately they, or house keeping, didn’t pull the door fully shut and our room was not locked for the entirety of the day. A visit from both the head house keeper and the general manager to sincerely apologise, and a free meal provided. Unfortunately that free meal had its own disasters; my starter arrived on a dirty plate and my main was forgotten about entirely. You could see the staff were mortified, and did everything they could to improve my experience. I don’t say this to put anyone off, I firmly believe that the best way to know a business is to see how they respond when something goes wrong, not when everything goes right. And this hotel was exceptional. My only negative comment, the laundry is EXPENSIVE even by UK standards. I’m sad I wasn’t able to stay longer, as this was truly a great stay.

The room was spotlessly clean from the moment we arrived – fresh linens, perfect bathroom, no dust anywhere, and everything smelling nice and new. The staff is simply fantastic! Every single person we met was genuinely friendly, smiling and super welcoming. What really sets this place apart is how incredibly helpful they are. No matter what little (or bigger) issue/question we had, they always came up with practical solutions right away – nothing was ever “too much trouble” It really feels like they care about their guests and want you to have the best possible stay. The hotel was very comfortable. We only stayed for one night after we landed in Delhi but wished we were here for longer. The room was spectacular. Breakfast was great and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. They arranged a car to collect us from the airport but there was a communication issue and the car didn't come, the problem was very quickly sorted and a taxi was arranged for us immediately and covered in full by the hotel. The manager even came to find us and apologise personally for the inconvenience. Problems happen occasionally, however it was handled so well and professionally it didn't even matter in the end. Highly recommend this hotel

This is truly a great hotel. Honestly, I wish I were still there. The hotel and its extensive grounds are really lovely, and I loved my Heritage room. The staff is truly exceptional, I don’t think I’ve every been treated so well, from the moment I was welcomed at the door until the moment they saw me off. They’re really caring, and willing to go well out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for you. Several times, they suggested things I hadn’t thought of. In my case, they were extremely helpful when my transportation to the next city in my itinerary fell through, far beyond anything I could have expected. As another example, the chef in the breakfast room , at his suggestion, prepared special food for me to deal with a food sensitivity. But there are many more examples. I’m really grateful for all they did for me. They deserve six stars.

It goes without saying that the public areas, grounds and rooms are spot-on, well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The real selling point here though is the service. I can honestly say that the staff here, from the General Manager down, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my luggage was mislaid by the airline and I was without it for 2 days. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive and provided me with essentials and even clothing as well as ordering a cab to take me to a local shopping centre to purchase a couple of items. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind and I was frequently greeted by name around the hotel. Outstanding and highly recommended hotel in a nice, green area away from the hustle and bustle and with a number of bars and dining options within a 5 minute walk – as well as the Civil Lines Metro station which will connect you with anywhere in the city.

This was my second stay at Maidens Hotel, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The property is beautiful and well maintained, with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a retreat from the busy city. The deluxe room was spacious, comfortable, and very well kept. The food was excellent, and the service truly stood out—personal, attentive, and always friendly. While the location is in a quieter part of Delhi, I actually prefer it that way, and getting to the main city is easy with a quick 30–40 minute Uber ride. Overall, amazing property, great food, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it and will definitely be booking again.

This is a nice hotel if you want to get away from the bustle of the city. It also has a heated outdoor swimming pool in pleasant gardens. It is close to the Civil Lines Metro which is easy to navigate. Close to the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, but quite a journey to tourist sites in the south of Delhi city.

Heart of the British Raj this was a great experience. Much better than staying in a newer hotel with less character. Maidens is five star to the hilt. Front desk staff, doormen and suis chef I give my personal thanks to. Spacious spacious rooms. I got upgraded to a suite. Nice swimming pool. Outstanding breakfast. Convenient - easy to grab a took room or taxi to get to Red Fort.

Lovely 1903 British Hotel located in Old Delhi. Rooms were very up to date and clean, bathroom were especially nice all with large tubs and modern showers, and plenty of hot water. We had nothing to complaint about, truly a 5 Star Hotel in Delhi. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at the Maidens Hotel.

The Hotel is centrally located in Old Delhi near the Red Fort and other attractions. The rooms are very clean and nice. We stayed at other 5 Star Hotel in India, but the Maidens Hotel stood out as truly 5 Star Hotel. I would rate Dinning and choice of menu, as very exceptional for an hotel, and our overall experience was very enjoyable. I would recommend anyone to stay there while in Old Delhi, you want be disappointed.

The Maidens is a top address in Delhi. The staff is extremely professional and I would put it on a par with a Swiss 5 star service. The pool is great. The furnishings and the inventory take you back in time. Travel back in time. The cuisine is very tasty and suitable for light stomachs.

I am a Californian, but an Anglophile at heart. This hotel is reminiscent of the British Raj times and Downton Abbey. There are many photos in the hotel showcasing its history of monarchs and their retinue that have graced the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The food in both the restaurants were great and the wait staff did an amazing job Overall a great and unique experience.

I think this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Excellent service - all staff friendly and welcoming. Everywhere spotless. Beautiful pool. Lovely oasis in the city - quiet, surrounded by nature. Great food and drink. Amazing attention to detail and very quick room service.

Overall a great 2-night stay. It’s a lovely, quiet, oasis in a crazy city. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. But there are a few areas which could be improved. Wi-Fi is very poor. It’s 2023 - hotels of this calibre should not be punishing guests with throttled speed unless they pay for Wi-Fi. This was a thing maybe 15 years ago but it was a surprise to find it still happening here. Buffet breakfast was excellent overall but: Multigrain bread stale both mornings Cheese cut so thinly it was totally shrivelled No one offered us eggs at our first breakfast Dinner in the Curzon Room was great. Calvary Bar was a bit sad. Bland decor/lighting and zero atmosphere. Felt more like a railway waiting room than a bar in a 5-star hotel. Room: Aircon very noisy Bath water not so hot on first night Nescafé and powdered milk is a bit of a poor offering Pool is fantastic. Great size and perfect temperature, but: No Cointreau for cocktails (I wanted a margarita) Drinks service took forever on first day Room service got our order wrong. We were sent veg noodles and chicken with ginger & scallion. We actually ordered chicken noodles and shrimp with ginger & scallion. However, the food was delicious and we were hungry so we didn’t say anything at the time. One final note - I spent half an hour completing an online questionnaire for the hotel but it wouldn’t let me submit it at the end so all the information was lost.

Fantastic Heritage style hotel. Very spacious rooms and great bathrooms. Great breakfast. Staff were amazing. My only complaint would be the upkeep of the equipment in the gym. The treadmill is dangerous, the belt slips and the power cut out after 10 minutes. This however did not spoil my stay and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff was incredibly thoughtful and helpful right from the doorman to the front desk team especially Azajudeen, who made me feel warmly welcomed throughout my stay. I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a deluxe room, which made the experience even more special. The breakfast spread was wonderful- a lovely mix of North Indian, South Indian, and fresh pastries. The housekeeping team and room coordinator were exceptional, constantly checking in to ensure everything was comfortable and perfect. I even caught him dancing.
