Far better stay than the rating and booking site scores would suggest. Very polite, helpful, happy, attentive staff who can do enough for you. The hotel is clean, tidy, and a very pleasant stay. Great value for money with breakfast and all day long hot beverages included. Anything chargeable is priced reasonably. The area is great and close to CSM gothic station and only a short walk through the hubbub of Fort to Colaba and the tourist hot spots. Well worth the stay and will use again.

Excellent place to stay, we were in the deluxe room, it was lovely. There was a set up for coffee& tea as well as a small fridge. Rooms were very clean. It has an elevator which was a plus for us. Breakfast was wonderful, eggs done any way & Indian dishes as we as Western dishes fruit juice latte cappuccino muffins cookies, dosa. The service was incredible just ask & they will do anything to help you. You stay here when in Fort. It’s close to many attractions.

This hotel exceeded expectations. We booked the best room we could and it was lovely. We didn’t have a view but tbh it was quieter that way. Breakfast was good although we sometimes had to wait for a table. They were pretty full. The Hotel spans three buildings and so rooms do vary. Some are much smaller. The staff were welcoming and efficient, fixing a problem with our shower promptly as there wasn’t another suitable room to move to. The tube station close by is nearly finished and will provide efficient transport once the line is open. We used the system further North and found it clean, safe and faster than the road!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Residency Fort Mumbai. The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious room with a great view. The included breakfast had a well-balanced selection of Indian and Western options, which we really enjoyed. The hotel also ensured that we had plenty of hot water, making our stay even more comfortable. Our airport pickup was smooth, with the driver waiting for us as promised. A thoughtful touch was the small map of the area provided by the hotel, which made it easy to navigate the surroundings. Lastly, the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Very warm welcome on arrival. We were early but they had 1 room ready. Luggage taken to the room. Offered really good currency exchange service. Amazing customer service feel really looked after. Great breakfast sets you up for the day. My favourite omlette toast and masala chai. Would definitely stay again

Highly recommend this hotel. The staff are exceptional - friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel is walking distance or easy taxi/rickshaw to shopping, cafe's, restaurants, and sight-seeing locations. The room was clean, tidy and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and they have a coffee machine! Free newspaper and afternoon tea. They can exchange money, cheap laundry next door, help with getting taxi's and airport pick up/drop off.

Short Uber ride to main attractions, and Phoenix Mall. The staff here are just great. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel, and if staying in Fort again this is the place I would choose.

Really good standard of accommodation in superb position for walkable trips around Mumbai tourist areas. Metro works nearby to the hotel are on going but didn't really affect sleep. Helpful and friendly staff and the section that we were in (next door to the main entrance, so rooms start with a 7), had recently been refurbished. Try nearby Burma Burma for a too notch meal.

This hotel is well located for exploring Mumbai. The rooms are compact, but then who comes to Mumbai to spend time in their room ? They do have a sweet little Timeless Lounge that provides some additional space for meeting & talking with fellow travelers. I thoroughly enjoyed an early morning sitting in the lounge listening to sounds from the kitchen as the staff prepared for breakfast. Theses sounds included some beautiful singing. Such a delightful way to start the day! Our fellow travelers had room 101, a room with 2 single beds. We would recommend this room A special thanks to all the staff, but especially Ban, Kasa and Rajesh and Mr D'Acosta Would strongly recommend Hotel Residency Fort

The bed sheets, towels, and even dishes in the kitchen were all heavily stained... pretty disgusting. The AC cover also feel off and could have hit me in the head but luckily it happened while I was not in the room. Breakfast was also very mediocre. The only reason I’m not giving it even less stars is because the location is amazing - so close to a lot of great sites and food locations.

What really made the experience stand out was the staff — everyone from reception to dining and housekeeping was genuinely friendly and helpful. A special mention to Pan Singh, Ballu, and Rasjesh, who truly went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warm hospitality made a big difference. This place has excellent staff, amazing delicious breakfast. Courteous staff members who try their best to make you feel welcome. I stayed in their main building, we had 3 single bed room. It was supposed to be a good room facing the street. it was spacious but run down, dirty curtains half hanging, so dirty i didnt even want to touch them. Very tiny bathroom no window. I have stayed here in the past but not in their main building but in their next door building which is more developed and modern. I would highly recommend staying in their nextdoor building. And yes i would come stay here again.

All the staff are amazing here, everyone is so lovely. If you're familiar with Mumbai then this is a good place to stay location wise. It's a 10 min walk from VT station (CSMT). Breakfast is average, the ac in the room is grewt it's a bit of a crampes room and not the cleanest but perfect firna short stay.

Worth the money! Great place to stay and staff are excellent. Would bring me water, TP, etc as soon as I asked. There is a laundry service next door, I had 3 items and some underwear which they washed on the same day for about 320 rupees. I was very pleased! The room was clean and spacious, the blinds were excellent and kept the room dark. A/C works even when you take the card and leave, so room stays cold. Hotel is on an excellent location, quiet and safe. Short taxi ride to sights downtown, and the metro station is around the corner so you can be at the airport in less than an hour! I felt safe here as a solo female traveller in my early 30s. Hotel has good breakfast choices, changes every day and they make fresh dosas and eggs. Continental brwakfast options available as well. A few restaurants nearby, can recommend Fountain Plaza. 7/11 nearby as well. Ebix on AK Nayak Marg has great foreign exchange rates if needed! All in all, I really loved this hotel, great amenities at the hotel and nearby.

Everything was absolutely topnotch from first welcome to final goodbyes. The room we stayed in in the heritage wing was stunning, spacious and felt very luxurious. The location was convenient for most south Mumbai things and metro is very close.

We had a comfortable, quiet and clean room in the new part of the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff courteous and efficient. Neighborhood safe, walkable with good options for lunch or dinner. Some sites within walking distance. Nothing to complain about this hotel.

Great location! Easy to get an Uber or walk around. The staff here is excellent!! We love the staff!! They offer a great breakfast and are in a good location. They have a nice lobby to sit in (our final day we checked out and left our luggage at the hotel and were still able to relax in the lobby) and great cappaccinos. The only downside was that our room (located in the property next door to the lobby) was stuffy and dark.

Nice hotel. Good price. Romms a.big small but ok. Only issues was that I booked a twin room and they gave me a double bed. But provided a single mattress. Although area was quiet, there is no sound proofing so I could hear wat was going on outside. Staff were great and very helpful

Good hotel in a convenient location just minutes away from Victoria Terminal in a lively area of Mumbai but that is still quiet at night. Staff is great if a bit overbearing at times (by western standards at least). Windows don't open in the rooms unless you request the keys which makes the atmosphere a bit stuffy if you don't use the A/C (generally noisy and very cold...) Good breakfast

All the staff are amazing here, everyone is so lovely. If you're familiar with Mumbai then this is a good place to stay location wise. It's a 10 min walk from VT station (CSMT). Breakfast is average, the ac in the room is grewt it's a bit of a crampes room and not the cleanest but perfect firna short stay.

Great hotel in an excellent location. The rooms and common areas were clean, tidy, and well maintained throughout our stay. What really made the experience stand out was the staff — everyone from reception to dining and housekeeping was genuinely friendly and helpful. A special mention to Pan Singh, Ballu, and Rasjesh, who truly went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warm hospitality made a big difference. Everything was absolutely topnotch from first welcome to final goodbyes. The room we stayed in in the heritage wing was stunning, spacious and felt very luxurious. The location was convenient for most south Mumbai things and metro is very close.

My stay at this property was better than expected. The room was comfortable, the area is very convenient with many walkable options, and then breakfast was great. The staff helped with every need and they were friendly and kind. I really recommend staying here for a budget friendly option in Mumbai. The only thing I would say is that it’s a little noisy around the area but not at all times.

The property is in a good location for walking. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help. The only issue we had was noise from construction that was outside our window and impacted our sleep. I recommend bringing earplugs with you.

Great location and breakfast. Complimentary tea/coffee and cookies available all day. Easy walk to CST if getting a train, and just a good area for walking around especially at the back of the hotel. Short Uber ride to main attractions, and Phoenix Mall. The staff here are just great. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel, and if staying in Fort again this is the place I would choose.

The greatest two assets that this hotel has are the exceptional staff working there and the wonderful location. Right in the heart of a wonderful, walkable, neighborhood - you're immersed in the heart of the city. This hotel is not a grand, five star hotel. What it is however is a very well located and expertly run property. The breakfasts rival those of five star hotels and what they may lack in terms of breakfast options, they more than make up in quality, quantity and in service. The people and staff at the hotel are truly exceptional. They are friendly, helpful, and genuinely decent people. One suggestion - invest in better wifi for your customers. More and more travelers expect high quality wifi as a basic necessity. We found access to wifi to be spotty at times and the server would make us re-register multiple times during our stay. This is something that is totally fixable and a worthwhile investment for the hotel to make in improving the guest experience.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Residency Fort Mumbai. The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious room with a great view. The included breakfast had a well-balanced selection of Indian and Western options, which we really enjoyed. The hotel also ensured that we had plenty of hot water, making our stay even more comfortable. Our airport pickup was smooth, with the driver waiting for us as promised. A thoughtful touch was the small map of the area provided by the hotel, which made it easy to navigate the surroundings. Lastly, the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I really enjoyed our stay here. The service was excellent. The hotel breakfast was fantastic with eggs made to order available, as well as barista made coffee, and all the usual breakfast items. The room was clean and comfortable, with dove soap and shampoo available. The hotel itself is sliiightly dated but it was still a lovely stay and wonderful by Indian standards. Bathroom had good hot water.

Worth the money! Great place to stay and staff are excellent. Would bring me water, TP, etc as soon as I asked. There is a laundry service next door, I had 3 items and some underwear which they washed on the same day for about 320 rupees. I was very pleased! The room was clean and spacious, the blinds were excellent and kept the room dark. A/C works even when you take the card and leave, so room stays cold. Hotel is on an excellent location, quiet and safe. Short taxi ride to sights downtown, and the metro station is around the corner so you can be at the airport in less than an hour! I felt safe here as a solo female traveller in my early 30s. Hotel has good breakfast choices, changes every day and they make fresh dosas and eggs. Continental brwakfast options available as well. A few restaurants nearby, can recommend Fountain Plaza. 7/11 nearby as well. Ebix on AK Nayak Marg has great foreign exchange rates if needed! All in all, I really loved this hotel, great amenities at the hotel and nearby.
