Was happy with hotel enjoyed stay, was disappointed with £10/session to use swimming pool felt should be included as very quick to advertise it on photos. Staff were brilliant. If i lwas looking to be critical would say pillows could be upgraded after 4 nights im looking forward to mine.

Greeting from Reception was exceptional . The whole experience went downhill from there . Greeted after checking in by a sign stating Swimming pool out of action due to breakdown . A long walk down winding corridors and steps ensued to reach our rooms . The bathroom door was heavily marked and dirty all mouldy grout had been attempted to be sealed over with mastic ( very poorly ) . Cleanliness was far from good in the bathroom and likewise in the room . Carpet was very stained and dirty . Thankfully the bedding was indeed clean .

Stay here every 6 weeks as part of my job. Always great, ideal being quite central and easy links to motorways. Breakfast is superb. Only issue I do have when I go is, if you book Via hotels.com you don’t automatically get access to the spa facilities, it’s £10 per access

Good location for where we were visiting. Bed had lumps and was uncomfortable. Website suggested free use of pool but actually it was 10 pounds each per visit. Signs in parking lot also demanded daily parking fee. Reception stated that was what they hoped but parking was actually free. Service in bar was good albeit expensive and pay machine suggested tipping.

This hotel was excellent value. All the facilities such as the pool, gym, sauna room & steam room were amazing. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.

Stayed here 6 years ago with the wife and decided to book again for a business trip. Very good and as good as I remember it being. One gripe would be that if you book through hotels.com you don’t get access to the pool area this is at a cost of £10 per use which is quite annoying.

I booked the hotel Via hotels.com and chose the hotel because it had a pool. When I arrived reception advised me that the pool is not included in the price as I booked Via Hotels.com. This was not notified to me during the booking process or I would have chosen another hotel. Very disapointed!

The bedrooms were in poor condition. The desk was all chipped and dated. The bathroom door looked like it had been pulled out a skip. Bathroom had mould and holes not filled in. Carpet stained. Loads of cob webs. Bed was comfortable and clean.

The bed and the room were quite comfortable although there was significant water damage to the bathroom door. The sink plug didn’t work and the phone had a constant dial tone even when the receiver was down, so I had to unplug it. The hotel was quiet so I slept quite well. But the pillows were very lumpy. The windows can only be opened a few inches as there are security bars in place. Breakfast was mediocre. Only one of the four juice decanters had any juice in it - so orange juice was the only option. The Nutella dispenser was empty. No decaf coffee. Scrambled eggs were disgusting and watery. I would go somewhere else for breakfast - it’s certainly not worth it to pay extra. The shower had quite a bit of mould.

Just want to preface this by saying I did enjoy my stay here, the staff are wonderful and it's in a nice quiet area. However, I did notice that the air filter thing in the bathroom was absolutely caked in dust and the breakfast was somewhat lacking, the sausages were like chewing rubber and the beans were quite thin.

Arrived quite late at night for 2 night stay. Windows in room had been left open so it was quite cold and lots of small moths flying about. Room smelt damp and fusty. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling light in bathroom, was still there when we left despite housekeeping being carried out the following day. Pillows and mattress not very comfortable. Extractor fan in bathroom didn't work too well.

Staff were great and helpful. I used the pool and sauna, both clean and good standard. Proper 3 foot single beds in twin room, not half of a double bed. All you can eat breakfast had cooked English, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, deli meats and cheese, croissant type stuff, fruit juices, tea and coffee etc. The place is quite large with many conference rooms, restaurant, bar, outside courtyard, leisure centre also included steam room and gym equipment. Situated among residential housing there are no great views but altogether very good place to stay for access to this south west midlands area. Only minus was chips and flaking paint on the room’s bathroom door.

When we got to reception to check in there was no one available, one of the staff tried to find the receptionist but they couldnt find her. They found another staff member and he tried to check another guest in but he needed the pin to get into the system, so they finally got through to the receptionist on the phone who gave them the pin, then she suddenly appeared while he carried on checking us all in. So not a great check in service!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we stayed here at the same time last year, and this year did not disappoint. Friendly, helpful staff, throughout the hotel. Good breakfast and special requests delivered quickly. Parking is good. All rooms well supplied with tea,coffee etc . Good eco friendly towel and cleaning options. We also saw staff deal very politely and discreetly with a complaint from another customer. The cost is very good. We will come again next year, thank you.

I arrived at the hotel at 10pm after a 14 hour flight from Shanghai and a two hour drive from Heathrow. Upon arrival I was told that the hotel was overbooked and the room I had booked was gone! I was sent to another hotel 10km away which I had no choice but to accept. Apparently it is typical of this hotel to overbook and disappoint customers. Disgraceful way to run a hotel and needless to say I won’t ever book this appalling hotel again.
I arrived at the hotel at 10pm after a 14 hour flight from Shanghai and a two hour drive from Heathrow. Upon arrival I was told that the hotel was overbooked and the room I had booked was gone! I was sent to another hotel 10km away which I had no choice but to accept. Apparently it is typical of this hotel to overbook and disappoint customers. Disgraceful way to run a hotel and needless to say I won’t ever book this appalling hotel again.

Lovely stay, the staff on reception were brilliant and really helpful. The only bad bit of service I recieved was at breakfast . I had not originally planned to go for breakfast so had not paid in advance. I had gone in to have a look what was on offer due to dietry restictions however the member of staff in there was practically chasing me around with a card machine. I felt very uncomfortable with her on my back and ended up paying £16.50 for 2 bits of toast as I felt like I wasnt suppose to be in there . I asked if I could take a tea to my room and she shouted back saying I MUST pay, at this point I had enough, paid and expressed I wasnt happy, she shouted back at me saying well I could of had anything , yet I couldnt eat my toast without her practically sat at my table with me. Minus this my stay was lovely.

Ordered a meal from the bar Sunday evening. Only half of the constituents of the salad were there. Didn't realise until I checked the menu upon returning to room. Raised it with front desk on checking out next morning. Half cost of meal returned, but wouldn't pay out in cash which is what I paid with. Their excuse was it was the previous days cash |!!!. Also they had a lot of trouble locating someone to authorise. Reported at 09.00 not sorted until 12.20. Poor customer service..

All staff I interacted with were smiley and very pleasant, a spacious clean room and bathroom with plenty of hot water, a room was very warm during the night mainly because of weather but the room had a fan. If you are driving this hotel is perfect but I wasn’t, and public transport was scarce and took me a while to get my head around it hence one star less for me. Over all though, I enjoyed staying there so I’m sure I’ll be back again.

Just want to preface this by saying I did enjoy my stay here, the staff are wonderful and it's in a nice quiet area. However, I did notice that the air filter thing in the bathroom was absolutely caked in dust and the breakfast was somewhat lacking, the sausages were like chewing rubber and the beans were quite thin.

Stay here every 6 weeks as part of my job. Always great, ideal being quite central and easy links to motorways. Breakfast is superb. Only issue I do have when I go is, if you book Via hotels.com you don’t automatically get access to the spa facilities, it’s £10 per access

Good location for where we were visiting. Bed had lumps and was uncomfortable. Website suggested free use of pool but actually it was 10 pounds each per visit. Signs in parking lot also demanded daily parking fee. Reception stated that was what they hoped but parking was actually free. Service in bar was good albeit expensive and pay machine suggested tipping.

Nice hotel reception, bar area and dining room, but the bedroom & bathroom could do with updating! Remove the bath & install walk in shower would be perfect. The lift did have a nasty smell! The breakfast was very good and food was fresh plenty off choice. On the whole the hotel was clean.

Overall pretty good, if a little soulless and corporate. The staff were very nice as was the breakfast. The furniture was a little battered, but servicable. The highlight was meeting Gus the ginger and white cat who kept walking in, then seeing the staff throw him out. It reminded me of the Flintstones. Well done Gus keep coming you bring some life to the place.
