Majestic Roof Garden Hotel

Everything was great, staff, room, food. The only thing not good is the gym. Need to upgrade and make it larger.

It’s in a great location. However the gym is terrible, no sanitiser can’t believe you don’t have that available and no water in a very very small room. The restaurant has also changed. Beds are comfortable and room is clean.

Majestic Roof Garden was a good place to stay in the heart of Adelaide. Room was spacious and clean. View was disappointing and roof garden not really up to much and didn't have a bar, so bit of a let down from expectations with the name of the hotel. Otherwise really nice place to stay and reasonable value.

Location: Good. Cannot believe hotel does not have parking facilities & charge extra for an off site third party!

The room was nice. But the room view was the side of buildings. Parking was an additional fee and a major hassle. Roof garden was disappointing - not terribly majestic and closed all day for a private event when we wanted to use it.

It was mostly good, but there were a couple of things that were not ideal. The room is very nice; however, my shower has quite a bit of black mold, suggesting the cleaning is not thorough. The fitness center is miniscule with only three cardio machines, one of which is out of order. And it would be really nice if they had filtered water available somewhere in the hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel there was a maintenance man fixing the door near the front, we had to wait till he finished to enter the room. Other than that the service and quality of everything was average. Didnt get to check out the roof garden because everytime we went to check it was locked

Great area, but small gym, no real roof garden, small restaurant.

Great location, comfortable rooms and friendly helpful staff. Only disappointment was the "Roof Garden", I should have done more research, but I was hoping for at least a bar up there or something, especially considering the name of the hotel. Other than that it was a great stay.

A rather good location and very comfortable rooms. King bed was great to sleep in. Eating and shopping locations are within easy walking distance. Only issue we experienced was no onsite parking, but some behind the hotel, making it a little bit more difficult to unpack/pack if drining.

Stayed two nights at either end of a trip. First night we encountered the worst cigarette smell in our room coming from the entry and the bathroom. Other guests in our group had the same issue - they actually had an air purifier left in their room so that says something. The room was average the first night. The staff didn't answer the phone and were useless in their response when we mentioned it on check out. Our second night there was better, we had been upgraded to a better room and there was no smoke smell. I think the hotel has one eatery, no ambience. I wouldn't go back again.

Our 3 day x 2 rooms (4 ppl) stay was comfortable however the bathroom drain had a terrible sewer smell coming up which we plugged with towels. The breakfast was a real let down - poor quality. The photos in your lifts advertise very clean vibrant breakfasts however the actual dishes were not fresh vibrant or tasty.

Check in was pretty straight forward. But I booked 2 rooms on one booking and 1 room on another. I cancelled the 1 room due to a couple staying else where. But when I checked in there was only 1 room under my name even though I had paper work to confirm. Luckily they had a spare room. Room was clean at first glance, but upon closer inspection it was dusty. Things hadn’t been moved. Maintenance is needed on both bathroom doors. They don’t close properly. We were attending a wedding. We all went to get the lift down from level 6. We waited and waited for 10 minutes. Decided to ring the front desk on phone to be told both lifts not working take the stairs. I said we have a pram, baby and a 2 year old. Reception said yes, take stairs. She was extremely rude. We were also late for the wedding due to this. Garden roof out of bounds due to a private function. Which was strange as there is no bar up there. Thought oh well I’ll have a drink down stairs. This was at 4pm. Nope. Bar is part of restaurant which doesn’t open until dinner. So nowhere to go sit outside or get a beverage of any sort. They advertise like you can. So just take note. It’s more like a room with no other services. Would I stay here again. No. So many better places for the same price or cheaper.

Online I had saw there was a pool, I got there and there wasn’t. Can’t get refunded. I am 30 weeks pregnant and it was the only reason I booked the hotel. Had to pay extra for a porticot to be unfolded in my room… front desk Never answered their phone, I had to call via internet on phone. Boogers and weird poo like stains on sheets and walls, got sick off room service pizza.

Very clean, modern and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a lot bigger than we expected and shower was brilliant!! Great choice of eateries nearby and very central. Would definitely go there again when next in Adelaide.

Really nice, except one of the light switches in the bathroom was stuck, and the air conditioner control panel would switch it on but not off and you couldn't change any settings.

Only problem is navigating the TV, looked like you needed to have subscriptions for all the apps yourself and sign in. No fox or kayo

Comfortable and spacious room. A multistorey carpark was directly opposite our room so car lights would flash into our room, resulting in needing to keep curtains mostly closed and reduced natural light into room. But apart from this, which cannot be helped, the room itself was great, comfy, good size with nice shower. The location is fantastic with Rundle street and many dining options near by. I'm sure rooms on higher floors on the eastern side would have better aspect. Service and staff excellent, very clean hotel.

Great location. Near Rundle St and East End dining precinct. My room didn’t have an opening window. Rooms are a little dated as well.

Room was a good size. Bed was too soft for us and when one of us moved, it disturbed the other. Water from the shower spilled out all over the floor, which was dangerous. Room fridge clicked all night, which was annoying and the curtains did not fully close at the top, so the very bright light from outside came in. Would not stay here again.

The rooms are quite old; you can tell it used to be a luxury hotel maybe 10 years ago but is missing those luxury touches like good quality towels and toilet paper etc. The restaurant only opens for dinner over the weekend. The mini bar takes up every bit of available space in the fridge and cupboards which is annoying. The shower heads are so high, not handheld and old causing water spray in all directions. Toiletries are locked to the wall and the soap provided is bath gel. That's being said, location to the west end and Rundle mall is great, beds are comfortable and smart tv is perfect for a night in, (but without room service for half the week) I've always liked this hotel but realise now, for the price there are more luxurious options, however if location matters, this is the one.

Stayed at this hotel many times, last stay will be my last as i found the staff very rude, it's unfortunate 😕

We’ve been coming to Majestic since 2004, often for a few days at a time every month r so..until 2019. In recent years maybe only twice a year. It’s so sad to see it go backwards Front desk seem disinterested and lacking ability (maybe underpaid, poor training, no freedom to act on initiative) Getting things fixed today ok days and no real apology Culshaws used to be open every day, now meals only Thursday-Sat which makes mockery of room service menu Great location but it’s sad to see service and attention to detail slide with new generation of front desk staff

The room was a step above a usual hotel room. The design and decor was comfortable and innovative. The bathroom had some lovely design features as well as having all the necessary accessories. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will book again when next we return to Adelaide.

Great property in perfect location. Was easy to walk wherever we wanted. Was able to check in late when our flight arrived due to 24 hour reception which is very convenient and makes the property feel safer at night also. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Good pricing too. Would definitely stay here again!

Location is convenient to city and Rundle Street cafes. Quiet of street noise but that will change with construction site across the road ramping up. My room faced Frome St and the car park was very bright through the night, thankful I always pack eye shades. There’s a car park on the other side too, maybe not as bright but staff said those rooms don’t get any natural Light. Room itself is comfortable, bath tub deep, bed form. Showing its age, but I think price takes that into account.

Restaurant not open in the evening. Breakfast overcrowded and poor quality. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Very good location and friendly staff. Restaurant out of action for dinner the night I stayed and full of a group booking for Brekky the next day so can’t comment on that side of things. Room great….good size and comfortable but shower water pressure could be improved. I’d stay here again though.

Conveniently located, with helpful staff available 24/7. Breakfast was a bit disappointing.

Great except the restaurant and bar were shut Monday - Wednesday. Not a big problem with lots around the area but would have been nice to know when booking.

Easy check in, friendly reception staff. Room fantastic, clean and comfortable. Breakfast a little disappointing, left waiting for a while to be seated for booked table, then told to sit anywhere. Breakfast modest for price, limited selection, order completely mixed up with wrong sides on wrong orders. Told to change between ourselves. x1 staff member trying to do everything including room service, other front of house staff member making coffee. Would recommend for accommodation, would probably seek breakfast elsewhere.

Culshaws provides beautiful, quality meals. Friendly and accommodating staff.... BEST coffee in Adelaide. The snacks from the Mini Bar... OMG..... hold me back... LOVE the bed.... best sleep I've had in a longtime. Quiet and very comfortable. DONT disturb means... don't disturb... and they didn't..... a most nourishing and relaxing break
