We chose the Hotel Okura Amsterdam for its proximity to our daughter's home while we visited her. The location in De Pijp is extremely walkable to many wonderful restaurants and bars. A train station is very close as well. The hotel is fabulous, situated on a canal and beautifully decorated. Lots of comfortable seating in the lobby area to stretch out and wait for friends. Our room was large and very comfortable with a king sized bed, desk, two chairs with a table and a large bath. We opted for spa access with our reservation. The spa is quiet and relaxing and our massages and facials were top-notch. The fitness center is well-equipped, and the pool area is a perfect place to chill after trying the sauna or steam room. Be forewarned that the main sauna and steam room are towels only so if sharing a space with a nude stranger wrapped only in a towel is not your cup of tea, there is a separate, smaller sauna room that requires swimwear. The desk provides robes and towels when you check in and there are separate locker rooms with full amenities, as well as a lounge area with teas and beverages. The staff here is wonderful; everyone we came in contact with was kind and helpful. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam again.

The decor and ambience in the hotel was beautiful, it felt immediately relaxing. The staff were excellent, friendly yet professional and we thoroughly enjoy the complimentary drinks and food in the 22nd lounge bar with amazing views. The pool and spa area were an added treat, very clean and modern facilities.

Hôtel a 30 min de marche du centre ville situé au bord d’un canal, parking dans l’hôtel un peu cher mais pas plus que ceux en ville. Les chambres sont spacieuses et luxueuses, la zone spa fitness est incroyablement chaleureuse. Détente assurée. Si vous avez l’occasion de prendre un massage c’est une très belle expérience bien être. La salle de sport est complète et bien équipée. En résumé l’hôtel est parfait pour allier week-end découverte Amsterdam tout en se relaxant avec le spa wellness. J’adore venir ici chaque année !

Great and clean property with prompt and respectful staff. Also there’s a lot to do around the hotel. To one side is a row of restaurants and the other side is the town center. Everything is reachable by biking or walking (bikes are obviously faster and better though). Def recommend this hotel!

Two issues which needs attention, the lounge and house keeping. The lounge was hot and not well maintained. Needs someone to clean and top up regularly. House keeping needs also some attention. I had to call for turn down and to provide shampoo and body wash as the forgot to place in the room.

Plugs has been around for a while but it has been renovated and is simply great. Super comfortable rooms, and a sense of tranquility across the whole hotel. Hand’t been there in years. It has changed for the better

I am very impressed with the Okura hotel staff especially the concierge service and everyone else. We arrived very early in the morning. The staff at check in desk understood our situation traveling with my son who has disability, and right away they offered us a room of which we ended up doing an upgrade of which was worth it. The views were spectacular and they helped us get accommodated right away. The concierge service was first class at this hotel. They arranged all my lunches, dinners and tours. The hotel has some amazing restaurants and the room service food is delicious as well. I highly recommend this hotel and is very convenient location as well.

Great hotel just a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you like quiet and don't mind a longer walk or uber or figuring out local public transit, than this is a 5star property. The service was excellent. They got us last minute tickets for Anne Frank House and a complementary skip the line pass for the Van Gough Museum.

This may be one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff bent over backwards to make us happy. The day we checked in, the clerk noticed on my passport that it was my birthday. She was charming wishing me a happy birthday. Then two minutes after entering our room, she called to make sure everything was ok. Then about a half hour later, she personally brought to the room a dish a chocolates and a hand-written card welcoming us and again wishing me a happy birthday. The whole staff was like that throughout our whole stay. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

My favourite hotel in Amsterdam. It's an oasis of calm set back from the road in the lovely residential neighbourhood of De Pjip whicb has plenty good bars, restaurants and cafes. 10 minute taxi or metro ride into the centre.

We stayed at the Okura for a few days to see Amsterdam prior to our RCCL Cruise. The location allowed us easy access to the bus system so we explored on our own for two days. The hotel is very nice, service friendly and helpful. If you like Japanese food you will truly love the resturaunt.

Wonderful hotel and excellent customer service. We stayed five nights. Excellent hotel restaurants, bars, and room service. Walkable area also with major tram line. In a very nice residential neighborhood. There are plenty of dining options, shopping, and supermarket in the neighborhood. The hotel has its own boat dock and offers private boat tour which was amazing. Extremely caring staff who go out of their way to assist you with anything you need. Special thanks to Louis and Dominique at the front desk and Charlie in the morning breakfast restaurant.

日本のホテルということで、義理の両親のために予約しました。スタッフの対応、シンプルで清潔感あるロビー、部屋、どれも気に入りました。一つ言うなら、周りが静かなレジデンスエリアなので、ショッピングできる店などからは少し離れています。高齢の両親とはホテル内のレストランで夕食を考えていたのが予約がいっぱいでした。もう少しレストランがあればよかったなと思いました。少し歩けば、レストランはあるので歩ける方は問題ないです。
