Fantastic location and great hotel with good service, the only thing to let it down was the quality of the cocktails made in the bar. I didn’t have one after watching the bar man just pour in ingredients and not mix or shake them in the way they should have been made. Apart from this could not fault the hotel at all

Lovely hotel in central Amsterdam. Fabulous suite / room. Only slight difficulty was understanding where the hotel parking was. It would have been useful to know before getting to the hotel that the parking is hidden underground parking with valet parking only

This was my second time staying at NH Barbizon and it was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was a great start to our days and the bar was a quaint, quiet spot to snack and have a drink after long days of travel, museums, or site seeing. The staff is always helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located to transportation, shopping, and countless dining options.

I loved this hotel, staff are super friendly and helpful with anything you need. Rooms are clean and luxurious. Spa is blissful and super relaxing. This hotel is great if you want a nice quiet and relaxing stay, not overcrowded at all, not loud at all. Just perfect. Location is perfect, central and close to everything. Breakfast is amazing and we are always offered smoothies, mimosas and tea. There is candies left for you to take, and fresh cucumber and lemon water everywhere. A nice gym, free water bottles. Just wow. I went to 5 other hotels in amsterdam and none came close to this experience. And i am very picky with my hotels. I highly recommend Nh collections hotel. Dont be fooled by the "4 star" its really a 5 star trust me! We will be returning here on our next trip to amsterdam.

We liked how close everything was and the outstanding service in the “bottles and jars” restaurant. Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, luxurious bathrooms with nice amenities, plenty of cupboards and storage spaces. Very convenient because it is close to the train station centraal. Negatives were a very weak wifi network even on low floors. I understand that it will be louder on weekends in the city centre, but it was very loud on the first level still at 2am Saturday morning. The wooden sauna was great but the Turkish steam sauna was extremely dirty and discolored. The door was hitting the ceiling and showed already a lot of damage.

The location is fantastic. Everything else was very average. The room was small and you could hear the outside noise as if all of the windows were open. Both days of our stay, the hallways needed vacuumed. Honestly I'm not sure what criteria need to be met to be a 5 star hotel, but we were expecting a better experience.

This property is central to everything. Right across from Amsterdam Centraal Station. Good Location however it is also next to the church and bells ring for what felt like an hour and the partying from bars outside sounds like it is inside your room. This goes on until 4 am and then you hear the garbage trucks early, so if you are a light sleeper it may be a problem. When coming in late at night its a little sketchy with drunks all over. The rooms were comfortable and fairly clean. I did find a few hairs in the bathroom.

Excellent location, very accessible, very nice and polite stuff. Excellent breakfast. Cleaning service unprofessional, they came to clean after 16 pm while I was resting and then at 17 pm to check the cleaning, I expected them to do it during the day when we outside. It’s old building, the bathroom didn’t had enough ventilation and sometimes had unpleasant smell. Our room faced the street, and the soundproof wasn’t good but the view was great. Other than that it was perfect.

We were assigned to a superior room we hitch included an A-frame bedroom on a lower level with stereo stairs and A-frame beams to hit your head on at night. They changed us to a less superior room all on one floor, but the price was only 25 Euros less out of around 250 Euros. The service, however, was outstanding

Had a 6 night stay here, first of all location is superb, 3 mins walk to Amsterdam centraal and the main tram and metro stops. Hotel is a combination of a number of buildings so the rooms come in all shapes and sizes. It’s very clean and the staff were amazing. I had an issue with my room and got moved and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Would stay here again, or any of the other NH collection hotels if this is the standard.

Amazing friendly efficient staff, excellent location so handy for everything including central station. Loved the hotel, only downsides. We had a room over canal and molly malones and other bars. Frankly the windows prevented zero noise coming through, i could of been sleeping in the bars.... that said luckily i had a nosey teenager who found complimentary ear plugs in the drawers. Popped them in and slept great. Good choice of pillows. Would definitely stay here again and if they fix the windows it would be 5 stars.

Really good central location but I’m afraid this was about the only positive I can say about this hotel. The WiFi didn’t work for the 2 days we were there so had to use 5G and data roaming. Also we had a really restless night on the first night because the air con didn’t seem to be working properly and it was really warm even when we turned it as low as it could go it was still blowing out warm air.

Lovely sized room but the room is not sound proofed and so we could hear the outside noise from the street. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 mins walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Bed/mattress is really comfortable. Good selection of breakfast items at the buffet.

Excellent location, rooms quite small but OK. Expect a quite steep stairs in your room. Breakfast is quite simple, don’t expect anything extra. Also service is a little bit slow at breakfast time. Front desk clerks were friendly, the room was on the ground floor which was very convenient and there was no disturbance from the canal side. Maybe due to it being weekdays and rainy weather. Very convenient location to food, attractions and shopping. What didn’t go well was the waitress at the hotel restaurant on the first night. The restaurant was basically empty with about three other patrons. We sat and she brought over menus without uttering a word. We waited and waited and waited then finally after realizing she was not coming back we got up and left. Unfortunately we had to report the incident. The front desk clerk was extremely apologetic and compt our breakfast for our entire stay. It was not a pleasant experience for a first time brown skinned visitor to Amsterdam. Otherwise the stay was excellent. The breakfast was great and the other hotel staff we encountered were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Up and down. Some parts good , some parts bad. They charged me for laundry which was not mine. While checking out I informed the reception of the same and asked them to rectify it. Told them to mail me and asked them to return the expensive suit to whoever it belonged to. No mail, no intimation , no info. Just lacks basic manners and discipline. I stayed at 401 - the room is good.

The hotel itself was quite comfortable and clean. The front staff were helpful with directions and providing location information. If you need to access the train station like we did it is very close, but the area was unclean and quite unsafe as it was on the border of the Red light District.

Staff ever so kind and helpful. Very accommodating. Room was a good size and looked out over the train station area (see photo). The breakfast was not worth the $ in my opinion, many other places to eat. Hotel close to a lot, easy to get to. Also about a 5 min walk to the train station. Great stay!
