The staff are absolutely excellent at this property. The pool area is spacious and tropical, a calm oasis from the madness outside. More sun-loungers are needed though. The rooms are very large but are in need of renovation. AC was a godsend and very effective. Bed was huge and comfy. Towels are grey and have marks on them but found this to be the case in other hotels in Bali, it’s quite off putting. Lots of Australians are returning visitors to this hotel as it’s friendly and in a central area. Beach is approximately 15 minute walk, restaurants and bars are on your doorstep but you can’t hear the noise from this hotel. We did enjoy our stay.

Good location walking distance to most things. Staff were friendly especially the room cleaners. Breakfast was ok not a huge selection and found the food to be just warm not hot(the way I like it) had an egg station which most hotels do. The pool doesn’t look like it gets cleaned much very cloudy needs to be chlorinated everyday and I can tell it doesn’t? Never seen any person doing stuff around the pool.. the grounds and gardens were kept lovely. Overall was a good stay

Stayed for 8 nights with my Wife. Really loved it. Staff were amazing. Pool area was top notch for laying around sipping drinks around the pool bar. Plenty of places to eat and drink right outside. Wife really enjoyed the Spa treatments, massages and hair session. Breakfast and dining options were good. Cant say enough about the staff, i was constantly amazed by how friendly and engaged the staff were with the guests. Was in deluxe room and was really nice. Will definitely stay there again. Read a few reviews that mentioned the property was a bit tired.. While i agree abit of a paint touch up wouldnt hurt, the place is kept very clean and the grounds are beautiful and tropical feeling. Also read some reviews mentioning noise. Wasnt a problem for us.. Sure there is the sounds of the tropics at night, but hey its Bali. We were up front so there was some accoustic serenading from the bar across the street at night, but we found it relaxing. If its a problem maybe ask for a room down the back of the resort?

The grounds of the villa and gardens are lovely, the staff were all great, always helpful and super friendly. The room was not what was advertised on the site. But was still fine. Pool was great, but there was quite a few broken tiles in some areas of the upper pool and I cut my foot quite badly on one of them. We had a great stay for the most part though.

This once loved and favorite hotel has aged ungracefully. In dire need of a huge makeover, or demolition. The bedding is rock hard, stained and threadbare. The pool is flatout dangerous with broken tiles everywhere, literally slicing toes left, right and centre. The water itself felt itchy and cloudy. The gardens are unkept ponds just manky with sad looking fish struggling to breathe. The staff look just as tired, and worn out as the hotel. We ledt after 1 night of a 5 nigjt stay and sought greener pastures.

Overall pretty good stay, we thought the staff were very friendly & helpful. The property was a little run down and not overly clean. The pool was in pretty poor condition, water not very clean. The breakfast options were average but we like to try other places anyway. The property was also a bit noisy when we got our downstairs neighbours. Other than that it was pretty quiet around the pool etc. easily walkable for lots of choice of restaurants & bars. Pretty much getting what you pay for 😊

Place is very old and extremely dirty. Bed sheets had visible stains, room filled with dead worms and roaches, I also found a lizard under my pillow. When I spoke to the staff, they didn’t have any answers. I ended up leaving the hotel in the middle of the night and booking elsewhere.

The places is beautiful and the staff are so helpful. However the bedding & towels were not clean and always seemed to have some marks on them. We had an issue the first night however once we informed management, the staff and management really went out of their way to make sure everything was ok going forward. The pool area is beautiful.

The staff were lovely, the gardens are pretty and well maintained, but were disappointed with our room. We booked a Deluxe Lumbung because we wanted a room with a bath (an outdoor shower would have been lovely too), unfortunately our Deluxe Lumbung didn't have either. The basin and shower didn't drain properly, and the shower smelled of urine. The room was dark and unlike the pictures. We spent our first day in the resort by the pool but then my partner became ill with Bali belly that evening. We still enjoyed our stay as much as we could but I would hesitate to book here again

Stayed here for 3 days and it's not what I expected. The hotel is old and a bit dirty. So many gaps in between the windows and doors which allowed mosquitoes, salamanders, and insects to come into the room. The toilet is not cleaned and my family was not comfortable using it. When we opened the closet to hang our clothes one of the hangers fell off and the dust on shelf blew down. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time. Overall the pictures and rating are overstated. I would give this hotel a 2 stars rating.

The property is obviously aging, we had a aircon which was making a horrible noise and throwing ice, I took a video and showed reception but nothing happened, by the end it was leaking all over the floor. I felt this was poor form on the properties behelf. The room was small compared to the pictures on wotif made it out to be, there was no veranda etc. our Villa shared the spa. The internet isn’t very good, it worked but not fast and dropped out a bit. The pool was large and We spent a day enjoying it and they had a pool bar which was good. Breakfast is average, they cook eggs how you like etc. Easy to get transport, was close to some of wrong places, laundry down the road, plenty of night clubs within short walk.

The staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The pool is also very nice and loved that it was a more chill/quiet vibe. The gym is pretty horrible, but I assume most people don't need to workout while on vacation. The rooms can get pretty musty if the AC is not left on, but they were okay.

We really loved the resort, BEAUTIFUL rooms, air con and good pools, and great location. However what really let it down was the poor wifi, we couldn’t even receive messages to communicate to each other in the resort, had to turn on our international roaming as it got so bad, which I’ve never done before. It’s really a shame cos they have modems in the rooms, I just don’t understand why the wifi is so weak.

The property has a great location and is walkable to the beach and restaurants. However, it appears a bit run down, possibly due to the impact of Covid. The bathrooms had mouldy silicone and leaky shower heads, and one of the rooms had a mouldy/stagnant smell. The steps leading to your floor were also dusty and had visible mould, and the pool day bed cushions had black mould spots. The pool itself and pool bar were fine, and housekeeping provided fresh towels, including beach towels. Breakfast lacked variety compared to other resorts, and lunch/dinner dining was just okay. You found it better and cheaper to eat elsewhere. General service was slow, which seemed to be a common issue in most places.

My partner and I booked the hotel vila Lumbung through the wotif app as a deal. We were welcomed and treated like family the entire time we were there. The staff are beautiful warm and genuinely enjoy working there and nothing was ever to much trouble. The room was beautiful the ground were beautiful. Being in the center of busy Seminyak we were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful and quiet it was. It was like a little oasis. We are already looking forward to going back again. If you’re after a lovely peaceful friendly place to stay then I recommend hotel Vila Lumbung 100%

10/10 incredible place. Unbelievable value for money. Beautiful Balinese style resort full of nature and animals 💚🍃 massive pool, beautiful villas, attentive housekeeping and good buffet breakfast. By far the thing that made me happiest were the staff - helpful, friendly and kind. Happy to help with every single request, within minutes, and always with a smile. It felt nice coming home to see these friendly faces every day 😊 I’ve been coming to Seminyak for 15 years and will now be a repeat visitor to Lumbung. Cannot wait to go back!

The Vila Lumbung is a great hotel, it's located down a drive away from the hustle and bustle of the main street which ensures that it is very quiet and peaceful. The staff are excellent, so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The pool is warm and I loved the swim up pool bar. Drinks and food are very reasonable. The rooms are spacious and well maintained and the very comfortable. I would have no reservations about recommending this hotel.
