Helpful, polite staff; a clean room; and amenities such as free parking and wi-fi -- plus a pool and restaurant -- made this a nice stay. Less than a 10-minute walk from the convention centre where our event was, Riverside worked out well for us. The only thing that was difficult was that there were no sheer curtains, only black-out ones, and our room was right across from some apartments where people were out on their balconies. Thus, to have privacy, we had to be in a dark room. Overall though, great value for money!

Good location, handy having a restaurant on site. Basic pool but kids enjoyed it. The room was dated with a decent amount of rubbish left behind under the arm chair. It was cheap in a good location so would stay there again for a short stay.

Conveniently located. Free undercover parking. Room suited our needs, however some plumbing issue: each time toilet was flushed there was a lingering sewage smell in the entire bathroom. Helpful staff lend us an umbrella. Easy walk to museum / Goma /Southbank area.

No knife fork, spoon, plate or bowl if you want to eat in. Crack in the dirty shower. Cold tap can’t turn off. Black mould in the shower. Unknown splatter on the bathroom walls. Yuk.

Dirty, like legit. The curtains were black and gross, the bathroom was gross. The floor felt tacky when you walked on it. It’s really run down. The cutlery and crockery is a real motley crew off odds and ends. Worst of all is the breakfast, do not get the breakfast.

It’s in a good position. The price was reasonable for a hotel close to the city. It was very noisy, garbage trucks right outside our window at about 6am. People or staff speaking loudly early in the morning in the corridor, no sound proofing at all. Bed and bathroom clean but carpet not fully vacuumed or dusted. The room we had needs a facelift overall.

Hotel was comfortable in a good-sized room with great view of city, especially for the evening lights. Easy walk into city and South Bank cultural precinct. The bed wasn't the best, seemed to be springy and you tended to roll into middle.

The walls were so thin I could hear the person in the room next door talking on the phone, moving things in plastic bags and alarm clock at 4am!, the room was tiny and the shower pressure was horrible - the shower head needs cleaning.

I was positively surprised and happy that both rooms I booked had a washing machine and dryer, plus a little kitchenette. We only stayed one night, but the breakfast service provided in the restaurant down stairs was very well presented and filling for the huge day we were having with basketball games from 11:00 AM to 8:15 PM that Sunday. Slept like a baby, clean rooms, clean bedding and towels.

Property itself was nice inside for the price, but the room I had, had zero natural light it was very dim the outside was just dirt and trees blocked every bit of natural light. The lights inside were crap so felt like I was in a prison cell. The patio needed a good wash.

The staff were fantastic. Handy location. Had all the facilities we needed. The room was clean but dated. Could do with a fresh coat of paint. Appreciated the on site parking. The air conditioner was old, clunky and noisy. The room could also do with new pillows and quilts.

Our initial experience when arriving coloured our stay. Despite having advised the hotel of a late check in (that they assured us would be fine) we had an awful experience, waiting for ages for someone to let us in, being told there was no room for etc and that we would have to stay in a “spare” room in an alternate building which was not made ready for us. The attitude and response of the management was very poor and didn’t seem to care about the issues caused nor apologise.

The receptionist "Denny" was rude. He made it seem like we were inconveniencing him by booking a room using third party website; which was approved by the hotel. We paid for the superior room and was given a dirty tiny room with no discounted cost and only a couple of drink vouchers valued little to nothing. This experience alone has solidified that will never return to this establishment and will actively tell people to do the same. The only saving factor was the kind bar staff on during that night.

Having advised the hotel of late arrival and phoned twice as well, the hotel failed to provide the access codes to collect keys (which they had promised). We eventually were let in to reception to be told that we would be staying in a temporary room for the night! We were eventually told the booking was in the system and taken to room where the night manager felt it necessary to knock on the door - as though half expecting it to be occupied. The room is also not what we booked. Just appalling.

Service was absolute garbage. I asked for a mattress cover twice. First time on the call and second time I went down myself to get it both the time they said it will be sent up in 15 minutes. I stayed for two days but not once did they provided me with the cover. I paid extra 140 dollars for two extra person but they did not provide any facilities for that extra money. The stay was absolutely ridiculous. I highly recommend NOT to stay here.

We love staying here. Easy secure parking included. Close to Goma, Fish Lane, South Bank, the Quay end of the city and West End. Clean, comfy beds and good pillows. Double glazed so quiet despite being right beside the road (no good if you had to sleep with the door open though!) Staff were all helpful - had an issue with the TV but the desk manager came up and fixed it right away. It is in the 'bottom end' of town by the bridge near the river - but even so and despite being older we feel totally comfortable walking around - we mostly just leave the car as it is so close to everything.

There were exposed power point wires and telephone wires. The cellings paint was coming off due to water damage. The curtains were filthy. The breakfast we paid $25 each was absolutely disgusting, food and safety need to go there. We tried a small amount it was cold and fresh fruit youghurts ect weren’t even kept cold. Very disappointing. The staff were lovely everything else needs attention
