May need to update ur details on wotif site regarding parking no where to park in grey street while ur checking in had to go park in southbank and cost 16$$ and on wotif told on site parking was 40$ actually its 50$ and off site parking pictures arent the same in room when checked room very disappointing if you budgeted for the night and had no extra cash you would be at a great loss as to what to do Very inconvenienced wont be staying again but for other travellers maybe update your site

The Mantra is well situated on Grey St in Southbank and is a stones throw to the parklands and surrounding restaurants. The 1BR apartment is very spacious - single door fridge, kitchenette, dining table and TV area. A stand alone laundry separate to the bathroom is nice as well. Staff are courteous and all requests to housekeeping and concierge are expedited efficiently. Valet parking is only $40 / day which is convenient.

This was a great spot to stay for the weekend! Right along South Bank and across the road from shops, restaurants, markets, pool and the river walk. Easily walkable across to Kangaroo Point or up to Fish Lane and public transport. The hotel rooms had some great amenities including lovely shampoo, conditioner and body wash, a decent hairdryer and ironing board. A full length mirror would be helpful in the rooms as well as outlets near the bed. The gym was small but functional and the pool was clean with great lounge chairs which caught the morning sun. Pool towels weren’t provided so be sure to bring one or use a towel from your room. While there were good amenities, the hotel is feeling tired, and could use a fresh coat of paint and some touch ups in common areas, especially given the price per night compared to surrounding hotels. The staff were lovely and can’t say enough about the location

The property only has 3 parking spaces in front with no dedicated valet parking service. So when you arrive by private car you have to wait for a parking spot to open up before you can unload and then walk into reception to arrange valet parking. Tried ringing the property prior to arrival but the offsite AI automated service was useless.

Park 400 metrrs away at the convention center. It was clean, quiet. Staff helpful on check in. Definitely would stay again. It has a gym, pool and hot tub too but did not use.

Hotel is ok well located Very dated in appointments and cleanliness so-so. The pool doesn’t look as sparkling IRL. I had to call for bathmat and handtowel which weren’t in the room on arrival but they were brought promptly.

The bath tub area had a significant amount of mould. We asked for the mould to be cleaned, which improved it a very small amount. It was too disgusting to bathe or shower in, so we had to purchase bathroom cleaner and clean it ourselves. The kitchen cupboards stunk of damp/mould so we didn’t use any kitchen utensils. The room needed a deep clean, it was only clean on the surface, look any closer and it was disgusting. Dust piles under the bed. bedroom wardrobe dirty. Balcony was really dirty so didn’t want to sit out there. Good convenient location though. Would not recommend and would never stay again. Needs a big upgrade - old microwave, no smart TV, noisy dryer

The location for the property was ideal but the negatives out-way the positives on this trip. The shower had mould all around it, the shampoo was watered down so much it ran through your fingers, was sneezing continuously due to the dust and dirt. The room needed a very thorough clean.

At first glance when we entered it was a neat room. Upon closer inspection there was black mould in the corners of the shower & the doona wasn’t even in the cover it was just laying on the bed on top of the sheet with a cover laying on top. The doona had yellow stains. The bedside lamps were broken and the shades were stained. A little disappointed in the cleanliness Cashless transactions are definite put off as well. Good position, central to south bank.

Would not stay again. Room had a damp and mouldy odour. Toilet was leaking onto tiles and the shower had visible mould. Even with air conditioner on for full period of stay the room felt humid and damp - clothes felt wet to the touch Positives : staff were lovely and the location was great for event at exhibition centre. Lots of eating options nearby

Hotel common areas and room were pretty tired and basic considering the price paid. Had difficulty getting clear instructions about parking when calling the hotel. We had the same dirty crockery outside the door to our room since arrival for 3 days. Inconsistent with towels placed into room each day. Dirty carpets in room. Discarded cleaning cloths dangling from plants outside window. Very loud A/C. Mold in shower cubicle. Would all be fine if price was half what it was.

Common areas are looking tired and messy. Walls in the hall outside rooms were noticeably marked with worn and faded paint. There was a hole in the wall outside my room. Fridge in my room was not working. Several usb charging points in my room were also not working. The room itself was spacious, tidy and clean.

Great location if you are attending an event at QPAC or the convention centre. Plenty of dining options available. Our room was reasonably quiet despite being on the side of the building overlooking the railway line. Our room was starting to look a bit tired. Definitely not one for your wedding night but the bed was comfortable, I would stay here again

The room itself smelt like it was damp - I suspect the carpets (which were of nice quality) had been wet from the shower/bathroom - the bed was not a double but two singles pushed together and were not even in height - additionally I thought one of the single beds was broken - there was a lot of noise when you sat down on it - the smoke alarm was had red lights blinking all weekend which made it difficult to sleep - it is clear to me that they need to spend more on maintenance - the pricing was good - the staff were happy and professional - if it were not for the staff I would not have rated my stay as high as I did

One issue we had was that the air conditioning duct into the bedroom didn't seem to let any air in there. Consequently, the bedroom remained quite hot hot, while the living area was lovely and cool.

We arrived late after being at the Brisbane International tennis. Check in was difficult and not friendly. Had to drive around the block once to park our car outside. Couldnt contact hotel quickly. I had my elderly mum with me who needs a walker to walk. I wanted this to be a nice experience for her as she is from the country. When we finally got to our room. A large part of the tv cabinet was lyingon the floor. There was no jug in the room for me to make a cup of tea for my elderly after a busy day. Had to ring reception. An hour later as I was unpacking my bag. I found rubbish lying under the outer part of under the bed. A childs hairband, plastic wrapper, 1.5 ltr coke bottle, glow stick and an unused cigarette. I had to contact reception again! After that we were worried about the cleanlinessof thhe room. We wanted to change room but unfortunately they were fully booked. We received a free breakfast but unfortunately my food was very dry had to ask for balsamic vinegar to enhance the flavour. We travel a lot and stay in nice places. Really disappointedwith this stay especiallywhen I had my mum with me. Great location though, easy access to beautiful Southbank and lovely restaurants. This was a last minute booking for us for our final night in Brisbane after a 2 week holiday on the gold coast. Considering we checked in on New Years Day, and the awesome South Bank location, the price we paid was amazing. Granted, the room we chose was basic, not fancy, it had everything we needed, and had a lovely big shower. Also, considering the room was on the side of the building that was right next to the railway, which initially worried us, we didn't hear a thing. It was super quiet. The staff were so friendly and nice. We were able to store our luggage after checkout (late flight out), which allowed us to enjoy the last few hours of our holiday without having to drag our cases around with us. The included breakfast was absolutely marvellous. Normally, included breakfast's are of the continental style, but at the Mantra we were surprised to receive a fully cooked meal from their breakfast menu, which included a side choice and a beverage at no extra charge. I will be choosing The Mantra on south bank again in the future.

Booked breakfast with my room. Twice asked the staff about it and was told that breakfast wasn’t included. Asked for an email stating this. Then got a phone call a few hours later saying they’d made a mistake and it was included. So we missed breakfast ok one day. Apart from that the hotel and staff were lovely.

Being Riverfire the atmosphere was electric. So many people out and about. The room was excellent, great viewing of the aircraft flyovers and the fireworks, loved the thank you and Father’s Day gifts. Was a little disappointed with restaurant that it was only doing a menu for Riverfire and not a full menu. It also was a big lacking for staff in the restaurant. Seemed to wait for service to order, That aside it was quite enjoyable.

The hotel is dirty and run down. While the staff are friendly enough, they are not helpful at all. The whole vibe of the hotel is drab, outdated and dreary. No flexibility in anything! I asked to have avocado on sourdough instead of rye and was advised that that was not possible! Seriously? Rooms and particular the bathroom felt grimy and the bed is not comfortable. No water available for late check in, don’t even both requesting an extra towel. I travel weekly for work and have not had a hotel stay this bad in many years.

The in room dining was a disaster. The meal was served in a cardboard container which maded it impossible to use a knife and fork on the deteriorating base. In any event the knife in particular was incapable of cutting the bread anyway.

the bed was hard and uncomfortable pillows soft. whole hotels is showing its age and needs an upgrade. the cafe was very ordinary . Our breakfast took nearly an hour to arrive and was poor quality. Coffee was aweful. the ventilation in the room was so loud and kept us awake.
